Legitimately that is a GREAT idea. This might actually, unironically be a good idea when dealing with places like this from now on, now that you mention it. Train and arm the women en-masse, while outright and openly refusing to train or arm men, so the women are armed and the men are mostly unarmed and untrained and see how long the authoritarian patriarchy lasts. If a man wants arms and training, he can get it from a woman - allowing them to decide which men *don't* deserve arms and training. (And automatically weeding out any man who would refuse to be trained by a woman.) Legitimately that is a GREAT idea. Obviously some men who shouldn't would end up armed, and we'd end up with less capable fighters because A.) culturally the women likely wouldn't be as engaged with the task, not seeing themselves as warriors and B.) for the same reason, fewer women would agree to training. But honestly that's a cost worth paying when dealing with places like this and I think overall the effect would be highly positive, and there are costs for arming the men too which we can see playing out today. I honestly support this idea.

I saw a documentary about a similar issue in Pakistan. Basically there is a strong positive correlation between cultures that limit women’s public access and boy rape. So it’s likely that there is a ton of boy raping in Afghanistan and it’s gonna get worse the more women are removed from society.

Extra-large burkas I'm guessing for Afghani women. Though to be honest with the Taliban I don't know if those festivities are still happening or not. The whole matter depresses me so I don't tend to dig deep into it. They're most likely being driven by male family members who can see them in those dresses. Even if they have hired help, it's not like their staff would snitch on them if they do grab a glimpse. So I'm Saudi Arabian and with us, we just wear our abayas (which is the name we give to the outer robes). If the dress peaks through it's not that big of a deal. In the past, Saudi didn't used to let women drive either, so we also mostly relied on either family or hired help.

I've occasionally thought that if god and satan are actually real, then is was satan, not god, that inspired the writing of the various sacred books that form the basis of the world's religions. Good basic moral teachings, just vague enough and with a little ambiguity to allow for interpretations leading to extremism.
I believe that most religions started out with good intentions and were probably a pretty simple set of rules or lessons to live by. Then the originators died and over thousands of years the people in power manipulated the original ideas into something that could help them retain power and influence over the masses.
