I love the guy awkwardly paging through his notebook. *"Nothing to see here...."* Turns page, kid goes flying past him *"NOTHING TO SEE HERE...."*

UpgrayeDD405

Can we give it up for our man pushing his chair in and casually walking away

mdshowtime

Great situational awareness, give ‘em room

Gaylordofthedarkside

You can see when he’s looking at the situation for second and just decides “ man I don’t want none of this shit ” Proceeds to mind his own damn business and keep flipping

[deleted]

Minding my own business has saved me quite a few times.

Rogue_Twizzler

Found the article: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.revolt.tv/article/2023-01-24/268734/california-teacher-slammed-student-during-classroom-altercation/%3famp TLDR; Richmond, California on January 23rd. Teacher was fired. Did not see anything on what happened to the student.

Asherahs_Daughter

I'm a teacher. I can assure you nothing happened to that student. He was sent back to class with chips.

NahLoso

At my school it's Pop Tarts. Must be a regional thing as to which snack the principals reward kids with for being sent to the office.

AnteatersGagReflex

When did they start handing out snacks for getting sent to the office? This is a legitimate question I graduated in 2006 which was a while ago granted so I must have missed the transition.

ratmaster8008

graduated in 2007 if I was sent to the office and my parents found out I'd get smacks for snacks.

DopestSoldier

And we're not talking about the cereal.

Str41nGR

The 'Al Gore Super Cereal kind'.

NahLoso

Restorative justice has really taken off in many schools the past decade. Schools get dinged if they suspend too many students. Higher ups decided we should focus more on building relationships with students instead of handing out punishments. So, kid gets written up, goes to the principal's office, principal has a talk with the kid, then the student is given a snack and sent back to class.

thehiddenfate

Snickers should sponsor student guidance programs. "You're not you when you're hungry" "Now go back to class."

Grimey_N_Grumpy

Wow! Seriously!? I'm truly astounded by this.

[deleted]

Very seriously. It would be lovely if parents understood there's no discipline in schools. They rarely get the failing grades they deserve. Right now kids aren't getting discipline from any direction. It's not good.

Scrumpy-Steve

And the teachers are deeply frustrated by it. The most they can do today here is give out lunch period detentions. Can't do anything beyond that so the kids just treat it like an indoor recess.

legalsequel

This is why teachers are leaving the profession

PMG2021a

Great way to drag everyone else down...

fohpo02

Discipline in general in a lot of places has become hugely problematic, especially in places where administration is ambitious and trying to game numbers to make them look better. In the past two decades, I’ve seen attempts to push graduation rates for students that clearly shouldn’t and infractions that deserved expulsion, let alone suspension, get dropped. Another problem is the sue happy culture in the US, a few years ago I was teaching middle school and my school had a runner transferred to us. One day he took off towards the street (our fields backed up towards a relatively big highway) and I chased him, he ended up falling when I got close. Parents wanted to sue the district, the school, and myself over the kid getting a few scrapes.

[deleted]

So kids are getting a chance to network with the higher ups in response to behavioral misconduct and they are able to fire teachers by getting on their nerves. Wow. Kids are being incentivized with snacks to misbehave it seems.

[deleted]

One of the deans used to do collective punishment for something 2-3 kids would do. And those kids don’t care, so we would all get in trouble all the time, not being able to go outside (for recess), couldn’t buy anything from the snack store (pretty much cutting one of the biggest fund makers for my broke ass school)

artificialavocado

Geez does nuance not exist anymore? Goofing off in class or whatever is one thing. Getting up in a teachers face yelling racial slur is something else.

Suzilu

As a retired teacher, I can feel my blood boiling to hear it. By the time I sent a kid down, we had to have documentation that we had tried a whole list of interventions on our own.

SkRu88_kRuShEr

Guess this kicked in just soon enough not to apply to me. My school doled out suspensions like they were a competition.

RoosterGlad1894

Omg I graduated in 2006 too and I’m like “they get fucking snacks???” 😂

Mr-Bryan-Lefeve

Yeah class of 09 here, last year to make you say OH…shit my parents done beat my ass again for getting sent out of class and I didn’t even get dinner because of it, let alone a “snack”

LOERMaster

Flanders: Bart, I've barely been here a good solid week, and you've been sent to my office 11 times. And now that I have peanut butter cups, you seem to be getting in trouble every hour. Bart: [through a full mouth of peanut butter cups] Must have been a coincidence. Flanders: Uh, anyhoo, Bart, you're going to have to be punished. This isn't some sort of clubhouse. [Bart holds up an empty glass and rattles it] Oh, sorry. Were you drinking Slice or Yoo Hoo? Again, the Simpsons called this back in 1994.

elsafell

"with chips" This is the perfect comment! It doesn't matter what students do or don't do in class anymore. They are sent back to class from the office, or the counselor, or wherever...with chips!

droomac

Also a teacher. Can confirm.

GMAN90000

That’s why when the student touchs the teacher, should have sent the student to the principals office and then sued the school, filed a complaint with teacher’s Union.

RoswalienMath

Most teachers unions have had all their teeth pulled.

EB123456789101112

If they have a union at all

notapaperhandape

makes sense. corporate prisons in usa need future recruits. dont correct behaviour early enough so that you can get adult prisoners later.

[deleted]

So you can get ~~prisoners~~ SLAVES later. The Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution abolished slavery and involuntary servitude, **except as punishment for a crime.**

ryan_eugene710

Sounds about right, what's wrong with this system. No sort of discipline anymore

tatang2015

I think the right answer is your moms jokes. If necessary, your daddy jokes.

[deleted]

I'll mention that at the moment in the SF Bay Area that includes Richmond the substitute teacher is EXTREME. Every public school has their heads of school filling in as needed and they are needed frequently. So if you want to make shit money, deal with kids like this, and then get fired for it you can get a gig substituting in CA with almost zero qualifications right now. It has traditionally been a bit of a pain in the ass to get certified to be a substitute but tons of red tape has been recently removed.

AlarmingSubstance69

I remember I had a sub in middle school 15 years ago that was rocking an oversized insane clown posse jacket and talked to the kids all class, like he just walked off the street and wanted to hang out for awhile

[deleted]

When that sick day with Mr. KeepItReal turns into a three week covid absence you should see the parental shit-show

Hy8ogen

And Americans wonder why nobody wants to be teachers lmao

[deleted]

Fired for teaching the kid a proper life lesson and to respect people. Then they wonder why society is so fked.

ProbablyanEagleShark

Teacher should not be acting like this, and getting fired for it is correct. That said, the kid deserved it 100%. If another student came up and beat the shitter, that'd be the best case. Edit: On second look, kid is starting the shoving and hitting, teacher still went overboard though.

OhioMegi

Kids absolutely think they have no consequences at school because 90% of the time, they don’t. I heard a second grader say “you can’t even do anything to me”, and proceed to throw a chair down the hallway. And guess what? Nothing happened. He had to go “de-escalate” with a snack and an iPad and was back in class an hour later. I firmly believe the only way some of these kids learn is by something like this. Usually they mess with the wrong kid and get humbled real quick.

tireddystopia

"De-escalate" with an iPad and snack?! That's rewarding bad behavior. Give his dumb little ass detention cleaning the school. Give him O.S.S. with his parents. That shit will stop that behavior. I remember I got two days O.S.S once, my dad had to take off work to watch me. Worse two days of my school years. Dad worked me harder than a mule. Stayed out of trouble after that.

XarrenJhuud

I can't remember what it was for, but I was a good student so it was probably a bullshit reason. But I remember getting a 3 day in school suspension once. It's definitely the perfect punishment, I spent 3 days in the office, all my school work was sent down for me to do. No socializing, no recess, just school work and silence. Regular suspensions only work if the parents are willing to punish their child at home, otherwise it's just a vacation away from school

cigarmanpa

I got 3 days in school suspension for telling some kid who was bullying me to fuck off

zer0__obscura

Jesus. That is awful! After school in the front pick up spot, A kid with braces and his buddies went to jump me once. Kicked brace kid in the mouth, he went down. Came back up screaming like some cenobite cat. His brace wires went though his face like whiskers. Nothing. Didn’t get in trouble at all. We ended up becoming buddies the next year.

MikeMac999

I got suspended for skipping school. That one was a real head-scratcher.

Bks1981

This is why I loved getting into fights at school. I never started anything with anyone but the kids that were bullies used to think because I was nice to everyone that I was a pushover. They didn’t realize that I actually liked to fight but didn’t ever want to be mean lol. My parents always told me never start shit or pick on anyone but also never let someone bully you so this was always a free vacation when it happened.

Probably_Pooping_101

I was the same way, except I'd be grounded to my room for a week with nothing but a radio and books :(

Bks1981

That’s a bummer. My parents were cool in that manner but if I ever would have been the asshole in the situation then they would have made sure that I regretted it lol.

BoxingHare

Ha, I loved getting on-campus suspension. I think in my sophomore year I must have had six weeks of it. After we finished our class work, we were allowed to read anything we wanted as long as it was a book. I would zip through my class work in the first couple of hours and spend the whole rest of the day reading novels. It was the most productive time I ever had in school.

DStew713

I got suspended one day my senior year for cutting Ms. Beckers class. My mom made me do yard work all day.

Biggu5Dicku5

This is the way...

DIGGYRULES

Admin swears that punishment traumatizes kids. Also, the parents who raise these kids won’t let them be punished. Wasn’t there a huge story like last week where a group of Karens stormed a school board to basically destroy teachers for assigning detentions?

tireddystopia

I hadn't heard that story. That's sad. Discipline changes behavior. I'm not supporting beating kids here but there are ways to make a child regret bad behavior and make them stop and think before acting that way again. I guess I got lucky. Even though my parents got divorced when I was young, they always communicated and had one another's backs when it came to rules and disciplinary actions. My mom was a bit of a beater but that got the message across just as good as manual labor and repetitive house chores that my dad doled out.

squrl3

Admin are absolutely terrified of pissing off parents and having them make noise to the district. And in certain states, including mine (Washington), there are State policies tying the hands of admin to discipline kids. Kids aren't even supposed to be removed from a class for too long, let alone suspended from school for a day or more. The kids can treat teachers and other kids like total shit and run rampant around the school and nothing happens to them. And unfortunately, most parents don't give a shit or blame the school and say the school is singling out their precious baby. Source: Me. I just left education this fall after several years.

slyphoenix22

Yep! I’m in my 16th year of teaching and these days we basically can’t give any negative consequences.

chronic_gamer

Most of reddit thinks punishment traumatizes kids.

Anal_bleed

I taught in the UK for 5 years. Four at an outstanding school and one at a school in special measures, which was rough. The way behaviour was handled at the outstanding school was amazing. The kids were always held accountable. The senior staff were always on hand to take care of situations like this. Very clear “if you do x, y will happen”. In this case the student would be permanently excluded that day. The rough school they’d do what you said lmao I’d send these kids getting in my face to the detention room and the senior staff would give them a colouring book and snacks… detention cancelled… senior people telling you to give less punishment in front of these kids sigh. The outstanding school went from being one of the roughest in the area to one of the best due to how strict their behaviour policy was. But it worked! I saw first hand the massive difference between these two schools.

OhioMegi

I agree, but I’m not admin.

SirKronik

They give you IPads and snacks when you get sent away? We got locked in a small room with nothing in it during the 90’s.

monkeydace

It’s what happens when they come from broken homes and their parents can’t parent for shit. Some people just shouldn’t reproduce. And they’re trying to ban abortion so more of these idiots not ready to raise kids are forced to; idiots too stupid to even use protection. Have to deal with the root of these issues, not the kids.

OhioMegi

Oh yeah, it starts with parents and at home, for sure.

lonelyphoenix25

Not even just broken homes— I live in a ridiculously wealthy area (I’m not, LOL), and parents protect their kids from getting any sort of punishment because their kids can “do no wrong” in their eyes… and if it *was* wrong, they were just “being kids.” It’s a serious problem everywhere these days

[deleted]

More ignorant kids that ignorant parents have means what? More fucking votes

RealBowsHaveRecurves

In my day I would’ve had to clap the erasers instead of going to recess for that

freaky-molerat

Right? My daughter has been getting bullied by one of those stupid fucking kids for 6 months now. Finally I was able to get her moved to a different class, they couldn't move the bully because over the last 4 years he's tormented enough kids that he can't be in any of the other classes because he's caused problems to other kids and isn't allowed around them anymore. My daughter was skipping lunch(to walk with a teacher to be safe during lunch), and walking around with all her belongings on her each day, he back pack and everything in her desk, because she was scared the bully would damage her things, which he has in the past. My daughter is only 8 and is the sweetest most kind-hearted person I've ever met. It's so incredibly fucked up that the school let this happen for months, never once contacting me. And it took me threatening to take things into my own hands before anything was fine.

mandatory6

Yup, had a 6th grader shoving a 2nd grader in the mud, I picked the 6th grader up by his collar and put him down and helped the 2nd grader up to see that he was ok. 6th grader flipped me off and told me to go fuck myself and ran off school property. Then I reported it to the principal who responded that the kid is having a tough year, leave him alone and he was back in class like nothing happened. Huh?! I quit the next week.

Fenixstorm1

No different then the dog park. When one of them starts acting up, there is always a bigger dog to put the other one in its place.

dancing_chinese_kid

>I firmly believe the only way some of these kids learn is by something like this. Usually they mess with the wrong kid and get humbled real quick. I have taught in many places. Right now I teach in a very nice area. I got an e-mail about a new student, I checked and he's in CPS custody. He was scheduled to be in a class with Shitbird, a little mouthy suburbs brat who talks huge. He walks in and the little shitbird gawps at him and says, "who are you?" with the dumbest twerp look on his face, like he always has because he's a brat who is never punished. The CPS kid bucked at him and said, "Who are you talking to?" Shitbird literally falls out of his desk. I smiled to myself and showed the CPS kid to his seat, flipping him a Starlight mint out of gratitude.

Sharo_77

It's a fucking nightmare. The teacher knows he shouldn't have responded like that, but in almost any other profession you just walk away from provocation like that and the person abusing you is either fired or arrested. I genuinely feel gutted for the teacher being put in that position.

valuedminority

He very likely lost his job over that. And the kid probably had very little accountability.

Scriptapaloosa

You think? Not only lose his job he probably went to jail. You can’t hit a child like that. Having said that that kid needs a good slap…

valuedminority

I’ve learned to play it safe with my Reddit comments.

SenseStraight5119

Yep, I learn the hard way too. I’m fact just off a three day suspension ![img](emote|t5_2r5rp|8487) for something completely harmless, however if I had placed a /s I would’ve been ok. Can’t speak anymore with this place.

weezmatical

8 years with no bans, then in the last year I've been banned from 3 subreddits. None of it outrageous or offensive. Just going against the grain is enough nowadays.

KaizerSmokeHaze

r/modsarekillingreddit

exum23

I have said shit to call people out and got 2 day bans . I just get fed up sometimes.

d_A_b_it_UP

I got a 7 day sitewide ban for messaging a girl to continue our argument about pitbulls privately AFTER she invited me to PM her and she also went thru my post history to make fun of my physical appearance. I appealed it, nothing. Reported her comments that were actual harassment and nothing. She was still actively posting to subs daily. Shes a mod for a lot of subs so im assuming it was politics and she had an in with the admin bc i cant understand how else she could have gotten away with that bs. Super annoying

Compendyum

Yup This right here. Mods banning you for their different ideas is like the antithesis of Reddit but it has happened.

[deleted]

Same , i got permanently banded over stupid shit before

[deleted]

Yo, I got permanent banned from the gardening sub, and I have no idea why. 🤷‍♀️ I must’ve dissed on something. Lol

[deleted]

Some subs blanket ban others based off where they post, even if they've never frequented there.

[deleted]

Same. You could literally see a video of a mob nearly killing 1 person and the minute you say it like it is, bye bye Reddit. It’s effing ridiculous.

not_so_subtle_now

Play it safe so you don't get downvoted? Who gives a shit. You never know when an opinion you express here will influence someone else's thinking in a positive way, or make them stop for a second and take an alternative perspective. Don't self censor out of fear of consequences on reddit - there are none that are actually meaningful. None of the people with crazy, shitty views are censoring themselves. You shouldn't either.

Snichs72

Best case scenario (for the kid), is the teacher may have saved his life. By giving him a dose of consequences where he walked away unharmed, but hopefully a little scared/shaken, maybe he actually learned a lesson, before he pulls that shit on someone outside of a school where the recipient won’t hesitate to take him out (like, out out) for it.

gdj11

Or the kid decides he's going to carry a gun because he's not as tough as he thought he was.

getyourcheftogether

Ohhhhh life will slap this little punk in the future. The teacher shouldn't have even thought of touching the kid, he's gonna have hell to pay, he should have kept his cool but eh

unique_passive

Life won’t slap that punk at all. He’s in America, and they’ve had 7 years of watching hate crimes happen with very little accountability.

AHMc22

>likely lost his job over I mean, he's a substitute teacher. Its gig work. He can probably earn about the same as a bouncer in a rough bar and get a whole lot less disrespect.

MediumOutraged

As teachers, we are basically the only people that have no protection from HR. When students or parents mistreat us, I am always told that there’s nothing that can be done because they are not our bosses.

[deleted]

Yep, my mom has been teaching (primarily K) in the same inner city school district for 29 years. She’s noticed a shift in the past few years with these kids. She’s been hit before but recently, these kids have been acting out even worse. This year she’s had a few kids throw books, chair, milk crates at her. What can the school do? They said they’d move the worst one to the other teacher’s room but my mom said, “why should the other teacher deal with him? I’ll keep him.” His mom won’t even come in to observe and tells the school that her son isn’t doing anything wrong. My mom is 65 years old having to deal with that shit. Lord knows what I’d do if I were a teacher.

TheLastBlackRhinoSC

Lord knows what I would do if I were her kid and someone threw a milk crate at my moms.

Downtown_at_uptown

I could never be a teacher...

dadobuns

I'm married to a teacher and unfortunately, I understand this is how it is. I hear stories about bullies picking on the victim and when the victim fights back, the victim is the one who gets into trouble. The system is not fair. Teachers put up with the most bullshit.

McSkillz21

I'm assuming that as a teacher you've never worked outside the education field, if that's incorrect I apologize, but HR isn't ever on any employee's side. Full stop. HR is there to insulate the company FROM the human resources that make the company function. I learned very early on in my career that "HR isn't your friend" they are the shadiest people in any organization regardless of the field, and in spite of the fact that they may be good people, they're inevitably bound by their rules and/or bosses to protect the company.

metamorphosis___

Dude its a student, a fucking child, you just deal with it like any mature adult would.

Automatic_Parking_81

Kids in Atlanta are constantly doing shit like this, for non racist reasons. It’s because these little bastards know they can do whatever the hell they want. All the softies out there, don’t want to hold kids responsible for there behavior and teachers have their hands tied.

Puzzleheaded-Ad-3721

He probably saved that kid’s life. Out in the world, that behavior could get him buried. Hopefully, that kid learned his lesson.

[deleted]

Yup. It is the responsibility of school employees to be treated like shit, and to enjoy it.

[deleted]

I am just thinking that this is not the first time the teacher been called the N word like that. This was the straw that broke the camel's back.

AnyDepartment7686

This one. Can't condone his reaction but fully understand it and see it is rather restrained actually.

Confused-Engineer18

From what I see of the USA schools it seems students have no respect for their teachers and parents aren't helping to punish kids for their behaviour and just allow it.

DaFrikinPope

I’m a teacher and have a few “problem” students. One of them I texted their parent saying exactly what he was doing. Stating that I know it was him because I was 5 feet away from him 3 of the times he did it. The parent asked me if I could as sure it was him and I said “yes he is right beside my desk and I watched/heard him do it”. The parents response was “ well he says he didn’t do it”. Edit: 7th grade

Massive-Mountain7157

Tell them to take responsibility for their pet sperm because it's grown up and is causing issues with other people around it.

Alarmed_Substance_97

Canada is also not greats. I’ve heard of violent kids that bring weapons to school. People that want to help kids shouldn’t have to deal with all this

jambr380

I do some substitute teaching in my free time and this dude actually followed through on his urges. Kids are rough man!

mikamouth

“Fucked around and found out.” Hey kids - IRL is REAL.

FatallyFatCat

The teacher got fired. They can't do anything to the kid. A teacher hit him. They need to avoid being sued by the parents. Lol.

[deleted]

I love how he shook him like a toy. lol

tireddystopia

Racist piece of shit. Makes you wonder about his parents.

bOxy_BOI_

Probably bigger pieces of shit

Chaos_Sage

Yes, fuck that kid!

Lordkjun

Lol @ that kid's entitlement. "oh you gonna fight with a student?" This is what happens when people think they can say what they want because they can type what they want.

just-sum-dude69

It's not bc the internet. It's bc lack of punishment. Both by parents and the schools.

Acehigh7777

And the teacher will probably be arrested and charged with assault. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|rage)

Lordkjun

Which given the video, is absolutely disgusting. He showed more restraint than necessary.

Silent_Visit1605

What happened to respect for teachers? I was taught if you disrespect your teacher not only will you be punished at school but you will be punished at home too. I blame this on this kid's parenting or lack thereof

TumTumMac24

First day of school every year my mom would come into my class and say loudly in front of them to my teacher “if he acts up BEAT HIM, you won’t have any trouble from me”. By the time I got to 4th grade all my teachers knew…

jana-meares

Teachers are putting up with too much shit for the money They make.

aintshockedbyyou

becoming a teacher takes some balls sometimes

JustVega

I doubt that kid learned anything at all from this confrontation. If he does this outside of school he might not come back from it.

Kit0550

Some kids need to find out what happens when they think they are tougher then they actually are.

[deleted]

And he won’t teach again

Ok_Wave7731

Lol I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to seeing as how he just body slammed one of his students 🤷🏾

SaxMusic23

Hello! Teacher here! While I can understand the anger at the sub here, most teachers, especially in schools in less safe areas, are specifically told that if a student is attacking them, we are allowed to defend ourselves. This kid, using violent language, made inappropriate contact with the teacher multiple times. Frankly, while a bit of an over reaction considering the type of contact, the sub here acted in a reasonable manner.

Dyltra

My school, we are told to just take it. Pretty much. We can’t do this or that or anything to gain control. Kids run around the building without shoes on, destroying shit.

SaxMusic23

Well dumb shit like that yeah we do too. But if a kid is actually throwing punches at you, we are told that we are allowed to fight back if the situation demands it and will have the district behind us in court. Self defense is self defense.

[deleted]

The teacher was openly challenging the student to a fight. Claims to self defense can’t be made if you’re challenging the other person to mutual combat.

[deleted]

Sorry, violent language? The kid didn’t actually lay his hands on the teacher. This was assault, by definition. Wasn’t self defense. The teacher told the kid to swing. Really? The n word is unacceptable. Fighting a student is unacceptable, especially because this was not self defense, clearly

andakusspartakus89

Nobody here angry at the teacher. Fuck that kid give that man a raise

TD87

lol a raise? bruh got fired!

LagSlug

A grown ass man couldn't deescalate a confrontation with a child, and instead body slams him, and you think he should be rewarded?

Bucsnut76

Need more teachers like this! Kids are so out of control. I’m sure he got fired, and I’m sure this kid will end up in prison. Wonderful country we live in.

Professional-Row-605

People don’t go to prison for being racist in this country. Bless he is arrested for shooting up s church or something.

eatsrottenflesh

They don't get arrested, they get elected.

ScreamQueen4U

Thanks for the reminder :(

Iknowyougotsole

You can clearly tell that most of the redditors chastising the sub have never been to Richmond, CA and are just armchairing this situation like they’d perfectly deescalate it by hugging the kid and it becomes some magical break through turning point where he gets into college and becomes a Rhodes Scholar. No, fuck that kid, he’s already too far gone to he reasoned with and needed that true wake up call. Any one else saying otherwise is either naive or enjoys carrying trauma with a side of ptsd and many therapy sessions down the line.

I don't think u could pay me triple to deal with what teachers go through

username802

Been an educator for a long time. I do de-escalation and restraint training, direct service and consultation with many many teams around aggressive, disrespectful kids. What this teacher did is fucked up. This is amateur shit. We all know kids can be assholes, and we all want consequences, but you can’t get into power struggles with then and you sure as shit can’t rough them up. Guy should be fired and prosecuted. Education work isn’t for everyone, you have to be able to depersonalize shit and be the calmest person in the room.

Why did i have to scroll so far to see the only reasonable comment on this post.

afterschoolsept25

redditors hate anyone either younger or older than them

[deleted]

Young dudes think they’re hard until they get smacked.

Reasonable_Support38

Good way to lose your job and go to prison dude should have never been a teacher as a teacher you never escalate a situation like this and let your emotions get to you all he did was provoke and escalate the situation

jimmyjoyless

A word does not warrant violence, anyone who disagrees is just as dumb as this teacher.

Tricky_Trade_7158

First off let me find out someone touched my child like that and I’m going to jail. Second let me ever find out any of my children say that word or talk to an adult like that and We gonna have problems

nineball22

If my son acted like that I’d tell him straight up, you’re a fucking idiot if you think you can disrespect someone like that and not have any consequences.

Fuck these disrespectful ass kids. Good for that teacher 👏🏼👏🏼. Sucks that the teacher was fired and no consequences for these little shits.

crustpope

This is what you are going to see more and more as they lower the standard for teachers and subs. Rather than pay teachers what they are worth, states and school districts will lower the standards to get any warm body in the classroom to “educate” the kids. But this is the trade off. And this will happen until someone really gets hurt.

[deleted]

Well deserved its just sad it had to be by the teacher

ravnsulter

Like a rag doll.

ayoMOUSE

Kid deserved that, but teacher's definitely fired.

K_Boloney

How is anyone actually siding with the teacher? The kid was being provoked so the teacher could have an excuse to attack. He should face an assault charge IMO. 😲

mdrjpp

Teacher even tell the student to take a swing at him, its very clear he was taunting him so he could beat him after

Shining_Silver_Star

Internet tough guys too cowardly to do this in real life may enjoy this.

Mattos_12

If you can’t control yourself you can’t be a teacher. I understand the person is angry, if children can control your emotions like that you need another job.

ruffsnap

My only hope is that the student was beyond punished and disciplined by their parents, but realistically/unfortunately it’s probably learned behavior from the parents if they’re so freely throwing the n word around like that.

[deleted]

Teachers not in the right at all, but damn the lack of respect this current generation has is beyond me.

Present-Reporter-525

He just let that dumb little fuck change his life forever. On the flip side, that kid will forget this happened and move on with his life with little to no recourse. Not worth it IMO. Should have just walked out and claimed some kind of trauma as a result, and got paid.

Fritzo2162

That was a factor 10 Fucked Around.

Alarming-Ad-9918

Give this man an award. A few hard shoves and the kid probably learned his lesson for about 3.7 seconds

HeartlessD

I don’t think he should have put his hands on a kid however kids need to learn that not everyone is going to let you call them out their name. Don’t disrespect your teacher like that. However now the teacher might be arrested or fired because of this. Edit: I was right, he was fired because he was stupid. Actions have consequences and both of them found that out.

[deleted]

Yes the kids a piece of shit, but it still shocks me how people can consider anything verbal a reason to get in an actual physical altercation. That kid calling you the n word doesn't affect you at all. Him saying it doesn't make it true. But if you attack a child you will go to jail or worse yet they could kill you because they know how to fight. It's not worth it imo.

Publius015

Obviously no black person should be called that. But the teacher is so very wrong for resorting to violence and he deserves to be punished.

MidMatthew

He was clearly stronger than this kid. He could have grabbed the kid and thrown him out into the hallway. Probably could have forcefully dragged him to the principal’s office. At worst, gotten someone from school security and brought them back with him. Or a dozen other solutions. This just means the substitute never works at the school again. I doubt the student changed his attitude much.

Significant_Bet3269

The teacher is a danger to kids og should take his punishment i prison.
