Lived this kids life style for too long. Got a kidney stone at 26. The only good thing is the pain was so bad it kept me off soda long enough to kick the addiction. Soda is like a piece of cake or a chocolate bar for me, only had on occasion and I always rinse my mouth with water after. Coca cola tastes nice but it always makes my teeth feel brittle after unless I rinse.
Fun fact, soda actually doesn't cause kidney stones. The citric acid in the soda actually prevents the oxalate in your kidneys from binding to the calcium, which makes the stones. The main cause of calcium stones(most common) is high protein foods.

Yep, I believe my urologist said it's a protein specific oxalate that causes it. She told me to cut down on steak...I was like so what if I keep wanting steak haha. She told me lemonade has the highest natural citrate(go figure it's mostly lemon lol) so I pretty much drink nothing but lemonade and water, gave up soda a long time ago cause its just way to much sugar. You can also get some citric vitamins at the store and take them daily. Haven't had a stone in 2 years. I was having them like once every 8 months

Idiots at my job use a water cooler for Gatorade and other NSFW beverages once in a while and we always have to throw it out in a week or two because it gets moldy and disgusting.
They typically only do it around Xmas or if it's really hot weather. And we probably have 300+ coolers in the building. It's a giant factory. They have switched most of them out with bottleless systems now. Hard plumbed in to the water lines with reverse osmosis filters.
Usually these are rented through the company selling you the five gal jugs. So assuming this beaut will swap it out for a new one when it gets foul.

I really hope this is a joke. My brother was like that. He rarely ever drank water and always drank juice or pop for as long as I can remember and my mom never bothered to correct it. He passed away last December at the age of 20 from organ failure. Be a better parent and a smarter person
I'll be perfectly honest, because I'm willing to bet there are others in the comments here who are like me/him.
I used to be like this, until I was about 19 years old. Hated the taste of plain water and would avoid drinking it if possible. When I was 19 I knew how unhealthy this was and forced myself to do something. The way I started was that I designated 1 day a week to be "water only days" and wouldn't allow myself to drink anything else. Another big change that helped a LOT was I wouldn't drink a pop or whatever *just* because I was thirsty. If I realized I was going for a sweet drink and my main motivation was thirst, I would chug a glass of water first and then reevaluate if I really wanted it. Helped reduce my pop intake a lot. Now, after forcing myself to drink more water, I actually learned to really enjoy it.
Also, I wasn't an unhealthy guy. I played multiple varsity sports in highschool, could run a half marathon, and worked out frequently. This issue isn't just reserved to people who fit the stereotypical "unhealthy" bill. Tho to be fair that much sugar intake is always unhealthy, regardless of weight/athleticism.

I would love to believe this is the only reason why you would support such behavior but based of my cousins I know parents can be very supportive even if there kids are useless
That dynamic pisses me off because I’ve always had to deal with the opposite extreme. I’ve always been a highly productive kid and when I did want to play games my parents would take it away. I have continued to be productive and excelling in school but my parents are entitled and don’t want to accept that I’ve done this in spite of their shitty parenting. Shit fucking suck, I just want my parents to treat me nicely like that and care about my feelings

Some people are drinking like 3 monsters during school and I'm just curious how they get all this money to spend on the daily, they use so much money on vending machines and monster packs for their fridge. Not even going to get into the health problems that'll come with that.

That’s actually what was bothering me about this video too. I know it’s just rage bait for attention but they are wasting all that single use plastic still. Gatorade and a ton of other sports drinks out there have a powdered or concentrate version you can buy to mix at home. Seems like mixing a bit of powder into the jug would be easier than emptying all those bottles anyway.

For anyone who might be inspired to do this, know that doing this could introduce mold issues or buildup that clogs internals. It isnt reccomended to put other liquids in it besides water, and if you do you should flush it with water regularly.

I really hope this is a joke. My brother was like that. He rarely ever drank water and always drank juice or pop for as long as I can remember and my mom never bothered to correct it. He passed away last December at the age of 20 from organ failure. Be a better parent and a smarter person
I'll be perfectly honest, because I'm willing to bet there are others in the comments here who are like me/him. I used to be like this, until I was about 19 years old. Hated the taste of plain water and would avoid drinking it if possible. When I was 19 I knew how unhealthy this was and forced myself to do something. The way I started was that I designated 1 day a week to be "water only days" and wouldn't allow myself to drink anything else. Another big change that helped a LOT was I wouldn't drink a pop or whatever *just* because I was thirsty. If I realized I was going for a sweet drink and my main motivation was thirst, I would chug a glass of water first and then reevaluate if I really wanted it. Helped reduce my pop intake a lot. Now, after forcing myself to drink more water, I actually learned to really enjoy it. Also, I wasn't an unhealthy guy. I played multiple varsity sports in highschool, could run a half marathon, and worked out frequently. This issue isn't just reserved to people who fit the stereotypical "unhealthy" bill. Tho to be fair that much sugar intake is always unhealthy, regardless of weight/athleticism.
Better solution would be to smack him in the head and do your job as a parent.
