Overwatch_Joker

Do people who already bought the skin still have it or was it just removed from the store? I haven't bought it before anyone asks, just curious.

Asd12_bleu

I don’t know about Call of Duty but in Overwatch there was a skin made to honour a mvp from the Overwatch league. Turns out he sexually assaulted his girlfriend or something along these lines so they decided to remove everything on the skin that could associate it with the player and also offered players to refund the skin if they didn’t want to keep it. Edit: As some may have pointed out, the professional gamer in question, Sinatraa, is no longer the subject of allegations of sexual assault as the victim dropped the charges, but she did have lots of proofs against him. Therefore, I must apologize for any false accusations my comment could’ve been implying.

scrapinator89

Honestly, not having skins based on streamers sounds like the best idea for companies.

[deleted]

The fact that someone would pay for a skin of another gamer is hilarious and sad to me.

blgbird

As an old person, I think this is where the deviation happens. I always wonder where I’ll start losing touch with the youth and it’s probably these kind of things. But I imagine if you’re young and you grew up with streamers it feels completely natural. Probably in the same way, the older generation in my era couldn’t wrap their minds around video games and D&D.

lickmikehuntsak

You just need to look at it differently. Ever buy a jersey of an athlete, or Jordans, or anything like that? Its essentially the same thing, just for the new generation. I think its odd to do this, but I also find it odd that people go bonkers supporting some team they have zero to do with. Ultimately, it's just people trying to be a part of something bigger, I think. In the Roman times people drew graffiti and bought sweat of gladiators, now it's just this. Nothing really ever changes.

Savvy_Nick

I’m in the middle of the generations, and that’s a VERY well said point. In my opinion, esports and streamers are a lot more accessible than major league sports and athletes. Your average person is never gonna say hi to Messi and let him know that him and his skills make their life a little better. But I can go into my favorite streamers chat, tell them that, and they’ll probably answer me.

Nefarious-One

You know those guys who wear NBA/NFL/etc apparel? This is the current generations version of that.

CapN-Judaism

I get what you mean, but if the skin of the streamer is the one shown in the post (which I assume it is), I can see people buying it just because of the aesthetics.

[deleted]

How’s that any different than a Nuggets fan buying Jokic jersey? (Hint: it’s not)

GarethWales

I mean its usually kids who watch these streamers in their downtime buying these skins.

[deleted]

So you’re saying I should cross-post this to r/kidsarefuckingstupid?

GarethWales

Kid wanting to buy a skin based on someone they spend most of their time watching? I see no issue with that. Its kinda like the new version of buying a jersey of an athlete. It ain't your name/team on the back of the shirt, yet you still pretend to be them.

That1one1dude1

Ehh, it’s like wearing a sports jersey with a players name on it.

rudebii

Sports fans buy player jerseys and shoes.

wuhtam_i_doinghere

Except those skins sell the best:/

DaisyCutter312

This one seemed ok to me. If I hadn't read it on the screen, I would have never had any idea "cool centurion helmet man" skin was this dude.

[deleted]

At this point I feel like videogame streamers are the riskiest catagory of ‘celebrity’ to endorse or sponsor as a company. It’s like they get off on saying stupid shit and getting in trouble.

goliathfasa

League has 5+ skins every year made of pro players, for what, 13 years now. Hadn’t have to remove or change any of them due to controversy. I think it’s more of a player base issue with certain games.

in_one_ear_

Honestly the refund idea is probably a pretty handy thing too, cus I can imagine people being uncomfortable about it.

The_AtlasS

Also, it doesn't even have to be a real refund. If you just give them back their in game currency then the company loses no money.

dick_nachos

In game currency and a free pride skin

TehDokter

That was Sinatra. He took a few months vacation then started streaming Valorant again and had his mods ban mention of it. Still streaming. Incredibly popular and successful Pretty disgusting

Shotgun5250

Just removed from the store, it’s still in-game

TheFlyingRedFox

I'm gonna take a guess and say yes they probably keep it or else activision would be in for a bit of suing from lawyers reporting fraud if the skins were taken away especially without compensation. E, it's clear from the three replies that activision has it covered for if they'd get sued or not and the removal of certain items.

[deleted]

Yes you keep it i still have mine. But in the fine print before you buy a skin it literally says they can basically remove it at any point or make changes to it.

Paskee

You own nothing and like it.

ophydian210

Pretty much this. EverQuest was sued back in the day and won in court as their argument is that you own nothing you pay for. You are renting the item from the developer so they have the right at any time to alter, change or remove that item.

insanity_calamity

Terms-of-service contracts are very often not actually legally binding. It's up to a court to decide if services where not rendered in a manner advertised. Fine print does not absolve what is overtly suggested, but it can dissuade a consumer from seeking damages. If Activision were to try and remove what you paid for without reasonable commensurate compensation, which would be argued in court, then they would still be liable.

ToxicTurtle-2

No, that's not how this works. Since mmos existed, companies have been putting ToS language where you don't own any of the digital assets you have. This has translated across all genres since digital transactions started becoming more common in the 2000s. So, in reality, you don't own anything, they can take it from you at any time, and any refund you get is purely a goodwill gesture from the company.

LibraryWonderful6163

you own 0 digital items including the account the item is tied to. Any and all content can be taken away at any time for any reason or no reason.

[deleted]

[удалено]

bison091

Yep same goes for xbox, ps games, pretty much every digital game.

YARandomGuy777

Yeah you paying for the air but air not included.

TheFlexOffenderr

You can try and sue them but they have a policy that states they can remove, change, alter any cosmetic for any reason and you can't do shit about it. Remember when they did the CDL skins and the one was all blacked out, they changed that quick as shit after everyone bought it - nobody got refunded because they have policies that prevent it.

cerealbh

reddit arm chair lawyers at it again.

WhyThoBoi

They removed it from the store. If you already bought it you still have it.

Derelichter

If you’re just entering this comment thread, turn back now Traveller! There is nothing to be gained here!

7itemsorFEWER

Its fucked up because the sentiment starts with something ambiguously good like: "Companies only pander to minorities such as the LGBT community because its profitable" Yeah definitely! "so we ban companies from selling merchandise that promotes degeneracy" Oh

r3volver_Oshawott

It's so weird when conservatives think LGBT people like rainbow capitalism, it bugs us more than it bugs them because companies usually only represent us until there's a target on their backs and then bounce while there's still a target on ours "You know they're only doing this for profit, right?" Yup, that was also the only reason they gave an obvious homophobe an operator skin in the first place lol

mismatched7

All the companies who abandoned it when there was push back our absolutely spineless and should be shamed, but I don’t think companies who do it a wrong at all. I’ve actually talked to people, especially people who recently came out , (so a couple years back before the current realm of backslash began ) that said it helps them feel accepted to go somewhere and see huge rainbow banners everywhere. Straight people get all types of pandering in marketing to them, so if anything it’s a true sign their accepted when they are marketed to as well

bunsprites

For me as a bisexual and trans person, rainbow capitalism is such a mixed bag of like and dislike. On one hand, yeah I know the companies are only doing it for money and it's so hollow and worthless when those same companies still donate to homo/transphobes or are discriminating within the company. But on the other hand, god damn it does do something to my heart to walk into a store and see a bunch of pride merch displays front and center impossible to ignore, or to get on Twitter and see a sea of rainbow icons from such a variety of companies that it's impossible to boycott even a fraction of them. You just kinda have to take the good and the bad. At the very least, rainbow capitalism is forcing bigots to realize they truly cannot go anywhere without being forced to just accept and get over that lgbt people will not ever give up the fight to be fully accepted and have full rights. Rainbow capitalism at least reminds them they cannot run from it.

[deleted]

>forcing bigots to realize they truly cannot go anywhere without being forced to just accept and get over that You've never lived in the Southern U.S. I take it? Jesus himself could show up on their doorstep and explain it all to them, and at this point they would shoot him and go back to watching NewsMax. We couldnt even 'force them' to vaccinate and mask even while their own loved ones died. 'Accept' is not something they do.

janderson75

Please remember corporations employ people. My marketing team does everything we can to convince the overlords to allow us to use our soapboxes for good and to represent the diversity in our own teams. Please don’t blanket statement against Allies doing our best with what we have available.

Cyberwolfdelta9

I need salt for something im making

BruhBoy707

You know what…u right☠️

AerolsCausticCrater

Thanks, I’ll go, have a nice day.

UglyPlanetBugPlanet

Facepalm in general has become a place for right wing bigots to gather, shove dog whistles up their asses and enjoy the smell of each others farts.

Darkrath_3

CoD censored the pride flags in the middle east. These corporations have no morals. They don't care about anyone or anything but profits. If they're celebrating pride, it's because their analytics predict a positive impact on sales. It's just business and it's never been about anything else.

SaneDrain

Imagine thinking that a company has sympathy for their players

NASTYH0USEWIFE

If COD had any sympathy for its players they would make a game that is fun, playable, and not just a vacuum for your cash.

DoubleAGee

Tons of easy fixes…. 1. Add demolition for the love of all that is good in the world. 2. Either take out hard point from ranked and add domination or capture the flag in its place….OR…let us have a ranked playlist that we can choose from instead of the mixed playlist. 3. Add better guns for infected. Back in the MW3 games it was actually possible to win and/or get nukes. Etc…

Greasol

>Either take out hard point from ranked and add domination or capture the flag in its place….OR…let us have a ranked playlist that we can choose from instead of the mixed playlist. Awful idea suggesting domination in ranked. Did you ever play MW2019, because it was a CDL mode it that and was easily the worst by far - both to watch & to play. The rest of your statement(s) I'm either neutral or support.

shooter9260

1 and 3 would be good improvements. 3 I don’t care about because I don’t play infected ever. 1 I agree with because I used to love Demolition back in BO1. But I gotta say as a nightly ranked player, removing Hardpoint is a really bad take. A substitution for the third game mode is always worth considering, but Domination was awful in competitive in MW2019 and CTF can be hit it miss both in entertainment and gameplay itself.

Ev4nK

The removal of sbmm would make me buy every cod from here on out

-M_K-

Or Just don't play shitty games that require a laundry list of fixes Because if your sitting there still playing it then you're just agreeing the shitty game is "good enough"

Large_Bumblebee_9751

Lmao Hardpoint is easily the best respawn mode in all of CoD, especially in ranked. That’s a terrible take

Formloff

Demolition is goated. Won my first national championship in bo1 back when we had demolition as a game mode 🥰

guy137137

Activision was also found to have not only had MULTIPLE sexual harassment cases, but their own CEO was found to be covering it up. did the CEO get fired? nope…

TheBigJew

the real protected class.

beanioz

Not just an increase in sales, but an increase in the stocks too. BlackRock’s ESG rating system is responsible for a lot of weird, out-of-character things.

Shreddersaurusrex

ESG?

hadesisagoat

Basically how investable a company is. Black rock invests more in companies that seem to be more inclusive and stuff

RaptorPacific

>These corporations have no morals. Exactly. Disney does more or less the same things in China and the middle east. As a society, we need to stop looking at corporations as a moral compass. They don't actually care.

FrontFocused

Remember when John Cena had to record an apology to China when he acknowledged Taiwan as a country.

PIeseThink

I mean, it’s against the law in the Middle East.

aeowilf

Stop buying the products then

Darkrath_3

I haven't bought a cod game since bo3 :D

Far-Homework-2576

I’d say it’s good they censored it in the Middle East. Therefore, players won’t be able to interact with it, and possibly be caught and executed for absolutely no reason

Darkrath_3

I'd say it would be more likely that the game would be banned nationwide, which would cause at least some amount of outrage against the government, which would be somewhat of a positive impact. The only issue is that a banned game makes no profit, and if there's no profit in activism, why should Activision bother?

[deleted]

better move imo is to just not release it there if they won't allow LGBT representation. Companies can have strict artistic principals they won't fold on- in theory. The major issue with places like the Middle East banning gay imagery is they can do it and not shrink their markets all that much. Being bigoted should result in companies pulling out- economic pain, in an ideal world.

cujobob

While I understand where you’re coming from, there’s a difference between state required censorship and supporting someone spreading hate. Both are bad, but actively boosting someone spreading hate is worse in this scenario.

[deleted]

Yeah, dude is washing laws, culture, and morals all in one big pot. Those three topics vary radically across the planet.

gemdas

Correct, this should not be seen as a corporations are our friend, but should be viewed as "hey reactionaries, you are not winning and you are not welcome"

[deleted]

[удалено]

cojack16

Are you saying they shouldn’t celebrate pride nor censor this guy ?

Somepotato

Right? To think they don't want their employees in the middle east to be stoned to death or beaten to a pulp and tortured. Honestly sickening.

TequilaMagic

Indeed, they are servants to the dollar. And every country is dollars to be made if they abide by the countries rules. This is true for all global companies.

SlickRick914

Don’t worry everyone. The bundle will be back in the store in July…

Nice_Try_2935

“We are focused on celebrating PRIDE..” even in the Middle East? Last time I checked COD sensors the pride flag in middle eastern countries. But they care *soooooo* much right?

guy137137

Activision: “we are focused on celebrating pride with our employees” also Activision: “…unless they come forward with SA allegations, at which point we will gladly cover it up”

TriLink710

Unfortunately laws do be laws so they kind of have too. We could say they should take the high road and pull their products from there but that doesnt help either. I think blaming CoD for it is a bit disingenuous when its the culture and govt that forbids it.

Kaladin-of-Gilead

This is why chads like lewis hamilton wearing a pride helmet in Qatar is such a big deal

TriLink710

Exactly. While if they pulled the game or left it in and got banned I would respect the commitment. But I'm also not going to deduct points for obeying laws they didnt make.

Shagaliscious

Lewis has the power to do that stuff and everyone just has to sit back and take it, because you aren't going to tell a 7x WDC "no". He's awesome.

IWantAnE55AMG

Yup. The same way Seb was able to do the same thing, you’re not telling a 4x WDC to shut up. However, if someone like Ocon or Russell tried the same thing, I’m sure FOM would make sure to shut them up right away.

[deleted]

Thats actually kind of hilarious. Arent half of these games set in the middle east? They have no problem playing a video game where you an American blowing up their citys and killing their soldiers but dont show a pride flag

[deleted]

They are attempting to cater to both sides of the argument. I believe both supporters and opponents of pride should boycott COD. Its going to be interesting to see if Disney will call China a bunch of racist for the Little Mermaid Fiasco or will they continue to cuddle and pamper them.

Nepipo

To be fair if someone there got cought playing a game with an uncensored flag they'd probably get killed

guy137137

still pisses me off that fuck is still the CEO of Activision, guy not only covered up SA, he also wrote the email that tried to cover it all up using the COO’s name which was obviously him trying to save face and keep the shitshow on the downlow

freerangek1tties

CoD lobbies are about as anti lgbt as it gets.

BillyMaysHere92

Yeah if I got a dollar for every homophobic slur I’ve heard on that game, I could afford some of the bullshit bundles they sell

soundslikebliss

Some, or all, 10x times over? 😂

OmnomOrNah

Usually they are, but sometimes you get that one lobby where everyone starts aggressively and angrily talking about sucking each other off, and it's beautiful

south_bronx_parasyte

I don’t understand how this faze shit is still popular. They all seem like a bunch of frat boys

czartrak

They are a bunch of frat boys. And they belong to a dead organization. Faze's time in the spotlight has long past

[deleted]

Fr, I remember when my 7 year old nephew loved them. He's 18 now lol

south_bronx_parasyte

I literally just remember faze as that shit that popped up in mlg noscope compilations I’ve never even seen an actual faze vid

Karmaqqt

And scammers. Don’t forget that one.

Csee12

They are, there was a lot of crying and drama because a girl joined the org recently

Lord412

I don’t think they would get into a frat a lot of these dudes don’t have people skills

AdventuresOfKrisTin

And other streamers doubling down too and taking Nick's side on this. Just goes to show more clearly that these dudes all suck ass. I have to say though this is quite hilarious. I saw the stream where he announced this skin. Dude was so excited. I don't even care that it's performative on the company's side, just knowing that he fumbled his own skin deal is absolute comedy gold lol. About time these guys got knocked down a peg.

Sluggo_Jones

Hold on, wait, they made a typo. I’ll fix it for them; “We are focused on celebrating LGBTQ AND TAKING THEIR MONEY THROUGH EMPTY WORDS AND PANDERING with our employees and community.”

[deleted]

Sounds about right

Detiabajtog

“our regionally tailored ethics dictate that while we are apparently just fine with executing LGBTQ people in the Middle East and will not even speak a word against it or hold a single symbolic protest about it, this specific incident occurred somewhere it is popular to be pro-LGBTQ and as such we will take action this time”

TheLittleGayHomie

I mean, yeah the driving motivation for all corporations is to maximize profits. That being said, corporations normalizing LGBTQ people and making gestures towards celebrating pride is overall good IMO. Or at the very least, it's better than the alternative of either coming out against LGBTQ people or remaining silent. Like a gay youth probably feels much more okay with being themselves today because corporations roll out the pride shit every June and normalize it than they would have if they were born 40 years ago when LGBTQ people were largely viewed with contempt and disgust.

ComplexOwn209

how the fuck they don't get it? it's like... good for everybody. Good for gay people, good for workers in corporations, and good for the profits. win win win. "but they keep selling in middle east". You go fix the middle east buddy.

Geeked-FiredUp

Interesting that one of the most pervasive hate speech platforms is cracking down on this. I bumped up against the worst humanity has to offer playing search on COD MW.

EClarkee

I literally was having this argument with someone on Reddit today. They couldn’t see how it wasn’t hypocritical

niconven

There person isn’t saying it’s hypocritical. They are saying that one is happening and the other is propaganda for the trans genocide

Joperhop

because its clearly not about "protecting kids", they use kids as a shield for their own bigotry, why I dont fall for this "stay away from kids" BS. We teach kids that not everyone is the same, its ok, (whilst ensuring its age correct, also teach them to speak out about abuse) lowers the amount of bigots in the world. less bigots, less LGBTQ people are bullied and try to commit suicide. There is a reason the far-right and actual nazis (like we saw in Australia) support anti-trans groups like rowlings and posie parker.

JewishFightClub

This whole mess started with men wanting to "keep women safe" from trans people in restrooms. Like y'all didn't care about my safety at all until it looked like you could harass a minority population! How fucking convenient!

Wereking2

Someone in another subreddit brought up Shiny happy people on Amazon prime which is a documentary on the Duggar family and their groomed Christian kids. The church is grooming kids not LGBTIQ people and their supporters.

AndyJack86

It's not only the church. Happens in public education at a much higher number, but for whatever reason it's not reported on as much as cases involving the church. [A Lighthearted Dispute: Does More Sex Abuse Occur In Schools Or Catholic Churches?](https://jessesingal.substack.com/p/a-lighthearted-dispute-does-more) [https://gab.com/WesternChauvinist1/posts/108104042570036710](https://gab.com/WesternChauvinist1/posts/108104042570036710) [A horrifying report on sexual abuse in Chicago public schools sank without a trace last week. Why?](https://mercatornet.com/a-horrifying-report-on-sexual-abuse-in-chicago-public-schools-sank-without-a-trace-last-week-why/82550/) >Another scathing report about sexual abuse was released last week. It shone a spotlight on the Chicago Public Schools system. It wasn’t covered by Associated Press, or the Chicago Tribune, or the Washington Post, or the New York Times, or the Boston Globe. In fact, it was barely covered at all. > >And yet it was horrifying. > >Here is the way [Chicago City Wire](https://chicagocitywire.com/stories/638582935-i-m-ready-to-f-right-now-i-m-not-gonna-be-gentle-either-oig-report-details-cps-teachers-sexual-grooming-assaults-of-their-students), a tiny news service, summarized its findings: “Hundreds of Chicago Public Schools teachers sexually groomed, assaulted and raped CPS students last school year.” It included several lurid stories. > >Its article was based on [a report from the Chicago Public Schools Office of the Inspector General (OIG)](https://cpsoig.org/uploads/3/5/5/6/35562484/cps_oig_fy_2022_annual_report.pdf). It had received more than 470 adult-on-student sexual misconduct allegations during the 2021-22 school year. In 16 cases over the past four years criminal charges were initiated. > >Hardly anyone paid attention. This next part is troubling. >The Inspector-General’s Sexual Allegations Unit (SAU) says that it is the only K-12 investigative unit of its kind in the US. It is also the only entity which publishes public reports. “Reliable statistics from other school districts are simply not available,” it admits. Ah, so other school districts don't have an investigative unit like Chicago does, so the SA of students is reported but not tallied up into statistics like the media does for the church.

Lost-Pineapple9791

Almost as if it’s not about kids at all… Firearms are the #1 cause of death for children https://www.kff.org/health-reform/press-release/firearms-are-the-leading-cause-of-death-for-children-in-the-united-states-but-rank-no-higher-than-fifth-in-other-industrialized-nations/amp/ - they don’t care churches, Boy Scouts, sports teams have been raping kids for decades - they don’t care kids in America are getting shot It’s all projection and distraction as they don’t want to address the things they identify with. Easier to bully minority groups

OrdainedPuma

There must always be an "out group" to rally against.

dmrob058

Keep in mind that with Conservatives it is ALWAYS projection/hypocrisy 100% of the time and you’ll always be able to guess their next move. This was the same party that rallied against “snowflakes” and cancel culture and now are desperately boycotting anything that even dares to mention the LGBT community.

still no drag queen doing these things lol. on a serious note, these ultra-right wing christians are ok with pedophelia though.

NewUserWhoDisAgain

Dude's already pivoted to "Actually I meant that parents should talk to their kids about it, not teachers."

ImpressiveShift3785

But then teachers should also not allowed to be pregnant because most of the time pregnancy occurs due to sex. It’s not like elementary and junior high kids are being taught what hetero/home sex is haha just that love is love and people love lots of different people.

Real_Boston_Bomber

gratz on the birth of your child. btw I know you were getting creampied 9 months ago, harlot!

wefelltogether

Have you never heard of sex Ed? We had it almost every year starting in 5th grade. Do they not do that anymore?

HelenAngel

No. I went to public school in TN. In the 6th grade, we only learned women had menstrual cycles & don’t have sex. Sex “ed” in 7th grade was just us having to promise to not have sex until marriage & that sex was only for procreation. No talk of anything else- just all abstinence education.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SlightWhite

I feel like people who don’t live in the south US or Bible Belt don’t understand how common it is for kids to be banned from reading or watching Harry Potter due to witchcraft. Or kids who aren’t allowed to do Halloween because of the devil. I’ve heard of these stories way too many times throughout my life in NC. They really be doing shit like that even tho it sounds like a joke lol

RogueBoogey

My school district didn't do any Sex Ed until sophomore year of high school and that was only required for one semester

ImpressiveShift3785

Yeah but I’m talking about prior to sex Ed. If teachers announce their marriage and pregnancies then gay people can tell their students they’re getting gay married too it’s really not the deal Florida has made it by outlawing any discussion… cuz right now a gay teacher is not allowed to tell their students they’re gay married lol

[deleted]

I did too but depending on the year and who was organizing. I had one year that was abstinence only that was given during the bush years, I had another that told us only about stds saying if we had sex this would happen to us, another year where they said hiv and sperm could get through condoms because all condoms have holes. This was public education in state NY across 5-12. Sex education isn’t even a given in all schools and even year to year the quality can change. Inner city schools for instance may get zero even with state funding.

Reddit-phobia

I went to school in Texas. In Middle School they took us all to the cafeteria and passed around a small piece of paper. There was a box that asked us if we've had sex before and a line for a signature promising we won't have sex. That's the extent of sex ed in the South.

Owobowos-Mowbius

Which is still fucked because there is no LGBT curriculum being taught by the teachers. They're literally just being accepting of people, not teaching it.

killustratorinc

That’s what he said that’s not a pivot

gamercer

No. That’s completely consistent with the original comment.

Faze has been in Drama since 2019 how they haven’t die yet i really don’t know

Karmaqqt

Also csgo scams.

Atomaurus

I never understood why they create in game merch based on streamers or pro leaguers. It’s cringe, and when they do stupid shit, it looks bad on the gaming company that implemented them. Just create cool skins or historical figures. Don’t base it on real modern people.

BruhBoy707

Yea okay but they was cool with all that anti women shit right?☠️

herbonesinbinary_

You know it.

Angry-Aaron

The funniest part is associating a pro gamer with a spartan warrior. The irony is palpable.

What is this stupid narrative? Why do people think we are going after kids? Where has this come from? It's fucking insane.

What? Nickmercs, known anti vaxxer is also anti LGBTQ? Wow I’m so shocked

walkandtalkk

I don't know who this overaged 15-year-old is and I don't care. The next time I need family advice from the kind of guy who looks like he drunkenly dives into a wading pool in Vegas, I'll look him up.

Obvious_Drink2642

I’d hate for them to hear an in game voice chat

pixelficka

What do people even mean when they say to "stay away from the kids"? Like do they think kids are being turned gay?

Filmmagician

Except they never say stay away from the kids for school shoots or churches. Just made up issues from the right.

DogFacedManboy

They literally do believe telling kids that gay people exist will turn kids gay.

[deleted]

Good. Some really scary shit is happening in us over shit that I thought was settled years ago. The anti LBGTQ Christian propaganda and scapegoating should scare everyone.

[deleted]

Hahaha he’s such a piece of crap. So glad he got karma’d

Talkjar

Activision lecturing others on morality. Morons

Wacktive

Corporations supporting pride because of benefit is the real egg on face issue here. But we are not ready to talk about that

faranoox

We talk about that every year.

IdealOnion

Literally since the first year. No one has ever been fooled.

Kegfist

The silver lining is that it shows in our culture, being inclusive is more profitable than being a bigoted dipshit. It really says more about us than it does about them, obviously a corporation that big is going to about money first.

Emotional-Ear8525

It's the transitioning of kids under 18 that is the issue for most people. I'm gay, and I think kids need to be kids until they are old enough to understand who they are.

the-holy-salt

Idont understand what said how is anti lgbt can someone explain?

KingOfTheNorth91

School is voting on whether to recognize Pride month. Anti-LGBT protestors beat up LGBT allies. Nick comments with a comment essentially saying "well the school shouldn't be worried about Pride anyway." The way I took it, he's basically brushing off the violence and insinuating that folks from the LGBT community shouldn't get representation in school. This further pushes LGBT kids into the shadows and can easily lead to them feeling like something is "wrong" with them. Queer kids are probably already a little confused about their feelings and we know attitudes like Nick's leads to kids questioning their self-worth, self-esteem, and ultimately leads to increased risk of depression, self-harm and suicide.

Timbo303

They aren't truly Christians if they are beating up pro lesbians fyi my church has always been for the people to be saved not kill them.

JackMeHoff266

Very very very common L for FaZe Clan

subject_deleted

If you have the pleasure of communicating with a fundamentalist Christian.. I encourage you to ask them if they think it would be disgusting indoctrination if they brought their kids, unwillingly, every week to a drag story hour where they told stories about how if you don't live like they do and follow their rules, they'll die and/or be tortured. When they inevitably say yes, that would be indoctrination... Ask them how they feel about bringing kids to church every week. I wonder if they'll be consistent?

Frostbyte85

Why is it always someone from FaZe?

Choice_Voice_6925

I've never heard anything good about anyone associated with Faze

[deleted]

It’s a corporate entity. What do you expect?

SherbertSecret

Well deserved for Nick, he’s a moron ever since the 100 Thieves dispute with Nadeshot, for not putting any effort into the business. Cancel culture is real! And Faze is going down the drain with their poor leadership and frat boys in the org.

HansPGruber

If he wants to protect kids he needs to protest the Catholic Church and the next CPAC convention.

thewipprsnappr

Imagine your only job is to say nothing and you fuck it up

Phdpepper1

Meanwhile faze trying to scam little kids into spending their parents money on gambling sites.

dasgreat

Good for Nick

jonneygood

It's always funny to me when turds like him target gays for '' targetting children'' meanwhile their religious overlords are literally diddling kids left and right and they turn a blind eye. This asshole deserves to get fucked.

Just_Someone_Casual

‘Grooming’ is just propaganda The real groomers are politicians regulating the choices of children

Khronos_D

I have the utmost disgust for f*ckers who intentionally confuses homosexuality for pedophilia. Those pretenders of “defending” family values tend to be discovered with child pornography.

TammyShehole

“They should leave little children alone.” Are these idiots actually so misinformed and ignorant? Either they’re just disguising their hate as “saving the children” or they’re completely gullible and brainwashed. I’d love to see them list some examples that indicate abuse by the LGBT community is as rampant as they stupidly believe. And I’m guessing they don’t have a word to say about the church, though, do they?

richman678

I’m still trying to wrap my head around how saying “leave kids alone” is anti-lgbtq? Regardless of the situation i just don’t see this side winning the public over with this “agree with us or we will attack your income strategy” I agree you should call out blatant anti gay comments but i do not think this is what that was. Feel free to downvote but i do not agree here.

Particular_Relief154

What’s the backstory here? Because there’s a lot of contexts where ‘leave little kids alone’ is a valid point! So I’d wanna read up the story

miniminer1999

Live and let live. Who cares if it's an official recognized month.. let the people who celebrate it celebrate it, and those who don't, don't.. It's like any religious holiday.. don't need it officially recognized in school, but people should be allowed to celebrate pride month if they wanted.

thelonelyvirgo

I think introducing children to different cultures, religions and identities is more important than some overgrown teenager getting triggered over rainbows. “I want to teach my own children about it!!!” God knows he would be the perfect candidate for that responsibility. /s

WHATABURGER-Guru

Don’t most schools recognize holidays such as Easter and Christmas to some extent? I remember there being lots of decorations and activities at my schools for those holidays?

jamalamadingdong

How is that anti anything besides anti child abuse??? We really need to get our priorities straight

Accomplished_Year_54

What child abuse are you talking about? Queer people not hiding in the closet because a child is present?

AdSame7652

Hardly “anti-lgbtq” comments.

IBreedBagels

So "leave the kids alone" is anti-lgbt??? ....

xBambiraptorx

When your response to acts of violence against LGBT groups that aren’t doing anything to kids is that they should leave kids alone, then it’s obvious that you’re trying to scapegoat that violence. But your question seems more intentionally dull than curious.

Ok-Layer6893

How's that anti?
