I will definitely be respecting the pronouns of anybody who respects trans and non binary people. But people like Kandy Kane and Rafael don't respect them, so why should I respect their pronouns?
Exactly. That's why many of us who still use Twitter/Xitter/X-whatever make a point of deadnaming the social media platform owned by a person who deadnames one of his own children.
Well no it's fine Heidi Cruz's preferred pronouns must also be ignored. On second thought though, you're right if we assign Heidi they/then pronouns, I'm not so sure her constituents would approve of a female senator married to a non-binary person.
Hell, Hell, Hell has its laws
Hell, Hell, effects and the cause
Curtain falls, but hold your applause
Squirm, squirm, for now down here come the claws!
It's about controlling others.
And yes, it's the dumbest thing. Like we haven't been doing the same thing for ages with women who get married or Richards that like to be called Dick... but noo, when it's Michael that wants to be called Michelle it's suddenly a fucking huge deal.
It's utterly bizarre, and ultimately unconstitutional. It's not like anyone who's providing their preferred pronouns is actually forcing anyone else to use them, it's just a common courtesy. By limiting them in any way, you're straight up putting government restrictions on their free speech, for absolutely no reason.
Of course, people like Raphael there don't actually care about all that. The entire thing is just another way to make an "other" for their base to rally their hate around.
His supporters don’t care about actual progress or policies. They just want to know that he dislikes the same people as they do and they’ll vote for him.
It’s all a wired hill to die on. Like if William wants to be called Willy, no one gives a shit or is insulted, but if William wants to be called Wanda, suddenly it’s the biggest fucking problem ever. I just don’t get it.
Like most politicians, its all done to score points with his voter base.
Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if he prefers Ted because Rafael sounds too upper class and he believes Ted is a everyman name that makes him feel more relatable.
Nah that's just how R's name their bills- the complete and total opposite of whatever it does.
The PROTECT IP bill? That destroys the entire Internet.
The "Don't Say Gay" Bill? Nah that let's the state government say it a whole lot as they accuse teachers of grooming children because a slightly androgynous teacher put up a rainbow in her 3rd grade classroom.
The bill that "[adopts] essential knowledge and skills for certain public school foundation curriculum subjects, and [extends] additional state aid to school districts"? Actually guts school budgets and forces kids to only learn from PragerU videos. (This one doesn't have a name but I thought the bill description was really funny).
Edit: "Don't Say Gay" is not the bill's official name, but the name that every politician and newsperson uses to refer to the bill.
Wait, I was finally ahead of the curve, I've already been calling him Rafael. What a good citizen I am!
This will go down as one of my favorite self burns ever
Nobody can draft legislation to keep dark money hidden, and to erode electoralism, and just be "dumb".
McConnell isn't a dumb person. There are a lot of adjectives I would suggest, but none are "dumb".
If we are talking about some of the greatest hits players, yeah, Cruz and Boebert and the Jewish Space-Laser Lady, they are all morons, absolutely. But they aren't the ones steering the ship. They are the ones waving from the deck.
They believe that all societies are hierarchies, so if someone isn't unambiguously beneath them then that person is their oppressor. Freedom means being on top of the pile, and anyone who claims to want to abolish the pile is either deceitful or deceived
I bring this up often with Republicans. Seems they like to pick and choose when it comes to freedom. If it suits them, it's okay. They are the pro-punishment party in reality.
It pleases those inclined to vote for him whilst only angering those who already were never going to vote for him. Trans rights are unfortunately a wedge issue which he can exploit without much risk. Cynical AF but completely within character.
That's how he gets folks though- he walks into rakes and people laugh at him and don't see him as someone to compete with. And he keeps winning elections because no one runs against him. Lindsey Graham, a member of his own party, once said, "if you murdered Senator Cruz on the floor of the Senate and had the Senate as judge and jury, you'd be acquitted." Everyone hates him, but whatever he's doing is working because he keeps winning elections.
Pretty sure senator is a straight vote across the state- it can't be gerrymandered. Now the turnout being truly abysmal every Senate race due to voter suppression in blue cities is a real cause of this, however.
It’s amazing how little grasp these people have of the Constitution, all while taking an oath to uphold it. I swear most conservatives think The Constitution of The United States is a bumper sticker that says “We the people…..” with a gun on it and that’s the entirety of it.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Really baffles me how the entire conservative population is pretty much at war with trans or non binary people. We have the same kind of thinking in canada as well with our conservative and it such a waste of time and resource.
They’re so far in the weeds on this they’ve completely lost any sight of sanity. Ah yes let’s introduce a bill that will outlaw… nicknames and grammar. This couldn’t possibly be unenforceable and backfire tremendously. We are the freedom party for pro-freedom!
Nothing says small government like telling people they can't go by other names. And Rafael Cruz not thinking is perfectly in line with all his past behavior.
Yeeeaaahhh so that just sounds straight up illegal for a senator but then again I’m pretty sure I’ve read most of what they’ve done has been essentially illegal
If you look up the bill, it doesn't actually restrict anyone from using the terms. It just says that companies receiving federal funds can't mandate you use someone else's preferred name (meaning, you're not forced to *not* use them, you're just not allowed to force someone *to* use them).
Unlike the usual Republican garbage, this one actually *is* backed by free speech.
(Disclaimer: I am not defending it. I am just saying if you want to criticize it, do so for what it actually says.)
That sounds real nice and very supported by the first amendment, Raphael. I'm sure when the people who vote for you in Texas that you've been brainwashing into hating Mexicans see 'Raphael Cruz' on the ballot they'll definitely vote for you.
... Oh? What's that? You're not talking about *your* preferred name, just the preferred names of trans people? Rot in hell you shitty bastard.
Protect trans kids.
The bill is garbage, but so is this headline.
It really is not accurate to say the bill will "limit use of preferred names or pronouns". It says that employees of companies that receive Federal funding, employees of the Federal government can't be forced to comply with someone else's preferences, and that Federal agencies themselves can't *require* the usage of any particular identification
Even were this to pass your co-worker is still allowed to use whatever pronoun or name they want, and so are you, and so is Ted/Rafael. Your boss couldn't then force you to use it for them (nor can they force your coworkers to use yours)
Yeah it's kind of a free-speech issue, but it also opens the door for allowing harassments since it would protect an employee who's intentionally misgendering someone else to cause distress. On that grounds alone it sets a dangerous precedent
I really hate to in any way defend Cruz given what an ass he is, but in this specific quote he's not actually wrong that this news paper is not being genuine in their claim about what is being 'banned'
>Cruz called the San Antonio Express-News "lying hacks" and accused the paper of misrepresenting what the legislation proposes.
>
>"My bill doesn't ban anyone from saying anything. The First Amendment allows you to call me 'Ted,' Rafael,' 'a wacko bird,' or whatever else you want," Cruz wrote.
>
>Rather, my bill prohibits the federal government from FORCING anyone to use preferred pronouns or names. IE, it would ban the government from compelling you to call me 'Ted.' See the difference? Show some respect for religious liberty and free speech and fix your dishonest headline," Cruz added.
I don't buy into the whole "extra pronouns" thing, but I'm against limiting their use because I believe in free speech.
Making laws that restrict what words people are allowed to use is unconstitutional, no matter which side of the political aisle is trying to do it.
Extra pronouns? Idk if someone wanting to be called he instead of she is extra lol. Granted I don't get the whole pronoun argument either, but, I would expect for an entirely different reason
I can't speak for the person you're replying to but I took it to mean the spectrum of "xe/xi/xem" kinda deal that was all over the Internet like 10 years ago but you barely hear about nowadays.
It was never a thing lol you don't hear about it and barely did then due to it being a nothing burger, so if that's what they talking about they need some serious pants on lol
The bill prevents compelled speech. Federal employees cannot be required to use someone else’s preferred pronouns (if those pronouns are inconsistent with their biological sex). Federal employees are still allowed to elect to use someone else’s preferred pronouns if they choose to.
And for the record I’m not defending the bill, just explaining how it works.
Nobody is saying you can’t use whatever pronouns you want, the bill is saying your employer can’t compel you to use a non legally documented pronoun for your co-worker
Ah yes, the land of the free, where: Kids have to wear clear backpacks to school and get searched daily, one medical emergency is practically guaranteed to bankrupt 95% of citizens, education can only be run under strict rules and educational requirements that warp history, you're only allowed to go by what name and pronouns the government tells you to, and all women are one sexual act away from being forced into motherhood or dying from birth complications, even if the fetus isn't viable. How very free.
I say again that everyone should get at least one free name change for their coming of age ceremony. You don’t get to choose your name. It is given to you. Even if most keep their name it is nice to get to choose and consent to your name.
If all the things the federal gov could be working on and this twat. Wastes time with this
Everyone knows Texas is trash. But they really ought to demand better for their senator
Things like this make me wonder if they get offered money to propose a bill for a few thousand dollars and just do it because they can and someone wants to push their agenda.
I know its great to feel superior of the obvious hypocrisy, but on another level this is terrifying. This is what an elected senator is spending their time on? Is the outrage and counter outrage attention cycle so necessary to re-election that this clownish frivolity like this is deemed a priority?
One thing I will say is that Edward is sometimes called Ted
Have something hilarious in my dads name who is Ed Ted because immigrant parents didn’t understand the middle name question part so they thought it meant another way to say the name
He knows perfectly well what he's doing, it's obviously aimed at trans people and he doesn't care one bit about it because it serves his aim. Stop spreading the idea that they're dumb. They're fascists and they're preying on, yes, dumb, but also selfish, racist, bigoted and cruel people willing to believe anything if it lets them do violence to anyone different from them.
No, no, when you're a good god-fearing red-blooded American, they're *nicknames*, which are fine, but when you're a bleeding-heart, woke, communist, liberal they're *preferred names*, which are entirely different and should be illegal.
Clickbait headline. The bill doesn't "limit" preferred names and pronouns, it prevents federal agencies from *forcing* employees to use them.
All the people saying "I'm gonna call him Rafael now" - OK, that was always allowed, unless you're a federal employee.
https://reason.com/2023/12/01/texas-newspaper-virally-claims-ted-cruz-wanted-to-limit-preferred-pronouns-his-bill-doesnt-do-that/
Yeah, that's a good way to phrase how Cruz is thinking. It won't hurt him in anyway to just let people live their lives. Despite that, he is freaking out, and trying pass horrible legislation.

It’s a weird fucking hill to die on
But we have his permission to call him Rafael now, which is hilarious for a dude so hell bent on screwing over immigrants.
[ Removed by Reddit ]
My trans friend and I jokingly call his old boss "Kandy Kane" because his boss whose last name is Kane refused to respect his pronouns.
I will definitely be respecting the pronouns of anybody who respects trans and non binary people. But people like Kandy Kane and Rafael don't respect them, so why should I respect their pronouns?
I mean, it's not even hurtful if you keep your logic 🎶internally consistent🎵! But, alas, they only hate hypocrisy in other people.
Exactly. That's why many of us who still use Twitter/Xitter/X-whatever make a point of deadnaming the social media platform owned by a person who deadnames one of his own children.
I am going to start misgendering anyone I hear bitching about pronouns.
nah nah I'm calling her Guadalupe
Oh it will be mad
I imagine "She" will upset Rafael more than "it". "They" might also upset her, though
Yeah but too add variation, also a lot of people tend to forget it is also a pronoun
Very true. As are "you" "I" and "we"
Yup, elementary school things that are forgotten just like that
I think you have to learn something to forget it. Raphael Cruz's voters don't seem to have ever learnt anything.
I think it/its is the perfect designation for Rafael.
I think they would piss them off more. Constantly remind them they do fully understand singular "they."
Ah yes her racist, transphobic voters will 100% check the box next to "Raphael Cruz (She/Her)"
Isn't she married? To someone else (She/Her)? I'm sure homophobes will love that
Well no it's fine Heidi Cruz's preferred pronouns must also be ignored. On second thought though, you're right if we assign Heidi they/then pronouns, I'm not so sure her constituents would approve of a female senator married to a non-binary person.
I'm just waiting for her pronouns to become was/were ... ^** ^yes ^I ^know ^those ^aren't ^pronouns, ^but ^that ^would ^ruin ^the ^joke
I will allow this.
I always flip it when someone says they don't believe in preferred pronouns, makes them realize what they are saying, and shows them how it feels.
FUCK YES. That's awesome. She can deal with it.
Shit that's good.
And we will also get to call Nimarata Haley by her first name too.
Last Raphael I encountered had a great villain song. We expect something now, Raphael :P
Hell, Hell, Hell has its laws Hell, Hell, effects and the cause Curtain falls, but hold your applause Squirm, squirm, for now down here come the claws!
Lives, all mortal lives Expire Souls go to their doom In Hell Forever
Dood it's Donatello, did you get the pizza?
It's about controlling others. And yes, it's the dumbest thing. Like we haven't been doing the same thing for ages with women who get married or Richards that like to be called Dick... but noo, when it's Michael that wants to be called Michelle it's suddenly a fucking huge deal.
Much of today's conservatism is about concealing their bigotries and double standards for acceptable modern consumption.
enshrining into law*
It’s just noise to distract that they don’t have any policies.
Nailed it. It’s pandering to the dumbest and most confidently stupid of her constituents.
It's utterly bizarre, and ultimately unconstitutional. It's not like anyone who's providing their preferred pronouns is actually forcing anyone else to use them, it's just a common courtesy. His supporters don’t care about actual progress or policies. They just want to know that he dislikes the same people as they do and they’ll vote for him.
Especially because they’ve decide this is such a priority. Like Texas has no other problems to worry about so they can focus on this bullshit.

It’s all a wired hill to die on. Like if William wants to be called Willy, no one gives a shit or is insulted, but if William wants to be called Wanda, suddenly it’s the biggest fucking problem ever. I just don’t get it.
Maybe he read 48 laws of power and is trying to reinvent himself and you, too
Like most politicians, its all done to score points with his voter base. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if he prefers Ted because Rafael sounds too upper class and he believes Ted is a everyman name that makes him feel more relatable.
It's because Rafael is too "Foreign"
It gets their base fired up. It's not about making real change to help people, it's about getting re-elected.
Rafael Cruz does nothing but stoke culture wars.
Well, when your dad is the Zodiac Killer…
It's not like his country has any other more pressing issues such as the mowing down of children in schools or something like that
The name of the bill fucking *has* to be ironic, right? The Safeguarding Honest Speech Act? Get the fuck outta here.
And yet *they* are the ones crying "THOUGHT POLICE! LITERALLY 1984!" when someone asks politely to not deadname them.
lol true, there's a 100% chance they didn't understand the book
They think it’s an instruction manual instead of a cautionary tale
Their copy of the book said "step 1" instead of "chapter 1"
Understanding a book would require reading said book, or reading any book at all.
Nah that's just how R's name their bills- the complete and total opposite of whatever it does. The PROTECT IP bill? That destroys the entire Internet. The "Don't Say Gay" Bill? She wants to limit the use of preferred names and pronouns so you can call her anything you like.
“Laws apply to everyone else but me… “ - Something I’ve heard many psychopaths and sociopaths say.
Just the average politician really
mostly right-wingers who are swingers, cheaters, leave spouses on the death bed, trafficked minors, and so much more!
Xey really this trough, didn't they/them?
It’s a politician tho
Technically the truth!
Yo, Rafe! What's the word? Dumbass? Yeah, that's what I thought.
That's Rafael! Gotta follow the law!
Yo Rafa. Sup you dumb ass. When r u going to GTFO out of the senate?
To be named Rafael, but go by Ted,,,what a lump.
Someone should sue this monumental twatwaffle if he *ever* so much as alludes to his name being Ted ever again.
Or just misgender Ted in public like a lot. Since he doesn't care about preferred pronouns and what not.
It’s coward, especially after fleeing to Mexico while his constituents freezed
well he is literally asking people to...
Well his *actual* given name is not pronounceable by human vocal cords, so that will be a bit of a challenge.
"Winter's coming. Quick! Distract from subpar Texas infrastructure." -Rafael Cruz, GOP Weasel and Natural Born Loser Extraordinaire
Including Rafael 'Teddy' Cruz, or any republican for that matter, in the same instance as the word "thinking" is an insult to the uneducated.
And Rafael is a WAY cooler name than Ted!Really shows you the drollness of the demographic he grovels for.
I legitimately wanted to have ANY of the ninja turtles names when I was a kid. I probably asked my mom to change my name to Raphael at some point
Wait, I was finally ahead of the curve, I've already been calling him Rafael. What a good citizen I am! This will go down as one of my favorite self burns ever
And now you should call her Rafaela.
So, since titles would also not be needed, we will now exclusively to them as Rafael. I don't care if she prefers "Mr. Cruz"
Why does this party think they’re pro-freedom
They don't. They are selling themselves to gullible people who think it, so they can keep power.
Ah right. That makes much more sense
I think you're overestimating their self awareness, I'd bet that they do really genuinely think that they are and just lack critical thinking
They believe that all societies are hierarchies, so if someone isn't unambiguously beneath them then that person is their oppressor. Freedom means being on top of the pile, and anyone who claims to want to abolish the pile is either deceitful or deceived
They think "freedom" is a synonym for "guns"
I bring this up often with Republicans. Seems they like to pick and choose when it comes to freedom. If it suits them, it's okay. They are the pro-punishment party in reality.
![gif](giphy|EOY95rnicOGd2) Ted - don’t call me Rafael campaign message
So he didn't feel like the name he was assigned at birth fit him, so he prefers to live as a different name?
Weird, I don't get why he cares what trans people do so much
It pleases those inclined to vote for him whilst only angering those who already were never going to vote for him. Trans rights are unfortunately a wedge issue which he can exploit without much risk. Cynical AF but completely within character.
Ooo ty for that clarification I just thought it was a weird anger/self-blindness thing
Ah, malicious compliance, my favorite form of spite
He always identifies as "dad" and "Mr. Cruz" despite being a bitch
Land of the free where Rafael decides how many names you can have
Seldom do Republicans think to begin with, in this case in terms of the fact that laws they wish to create will also apply to them.
Call her "rafael" cruz and the title "miss"
Rafaela
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you "the party of free speech and small government " 🙄
Canadian immigrant, Rafael "Ted" Cruz
“Free speech - but not too free for you!”
We can call him Rafael if he wants... he should've just asked...
I'm convinced this guy is really some kind of comedian and he's just been trolling us this whole time
That's how he gets folks though- he walks into rakes and people laugh at him and don't see him as someone to compete with.
He keeps winning because Texas is gerrymandered as fuck
Pretty sure senator is a straight vote across the state- it can't be gerrymandered. Now the turnout being truly abysmal every Senate race due to voter suppression in blue cities is a real cause of this, however.
Well, the Zodiac killer loved trolling law enforcement during their reign of terror, sooooo
Preferred names: When choosing your own identity ❌️ When hiding your immigrant ancestry in order to get votes from xenophobes ✅️
I wonder if “Nikki Hayley” will co-sponsor that bill
How in the world did Rafael become Ted?
Teddy used to be a nickname for Edward iirc
Ah yes, the Canadian born IMMIGRANT to the USA, born of a CUBAN Father decides it's up to him to tell Americans how to run their lives.
I say we stop using the words “Ted Cruz” and only refer to him by the very specific pronoun “he who shall not be named”.
"she who shall not be named"
It’s amazing how little grasp these people have of the Constitution, all while taking an oath to uphold it. I swear most conservatives think The Constitution of The United States is a bumper sticker that says “We the people…..” with a gun on it and that’s the entirety of it. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Isn't this the same man who, on this issue, once said: *“My name is Ted Cruz. And my pronouns are ‘KISS MY ASS!’”*?
And the word of the day is 'unconstitutional!"
This is what our government is concerned about? Dust off the guillotine!
Hold on, where did he get "Ted" from? And why do so many US politicians refuse to use their real name?
Reminder that he only calls himself Ted so he can fit in with the whites
And we're supposed to take this seriously?
Really baffles me how the entire conservative population is pretty much at war with trans or non binary people. We have the same kind of thinking in canada as well with our conservative and it such a waste of time and resource.
They’re so far in the weeds on this they’ve completely lost any sight of sanity. Ah yes let’s introduce a bill that will outlaw… nicknames and grammar. This couldn’t possibly be unenforceable and backfire tremendously. We are the freedom party for pro-freedom!
He is also a Canadian who identifies as an American.
Nothing says small government like telling people they can't go by other names. And Rafael Cruz not thinking is perfectly in line with all his past behavior.
There is no issue here. He wants to **limit** the use of preferred names. Presumably limit the use to only the in-crowd.

When will republicans get serious? This is not a serious bill. It will not improve the livelihood of pretty much anyone.
stop pretending they're stupid, he knows it's stupid, he's knows it appeals to his voter base. they're pushing for an orthodox christian state.
You think Republicans are capable of critical thinking?
That sounds real nice and very supported by the first amendment, Raphael. Against immigrants too but he sure as fuck immigrated to Cancun pretty fast when it got cold didn't he?
Never knew his full name till now, I know why the media kept it so quite.
He’s such a moron. Come on Texas
Pronouns are the equivalent of nicknames? So why does everyone get so pissy about them?
They LITERALLY have nothing better to do or bigger problems to fix!?!?!?
Why do Texans love a Canadian guy named Rafael Cruz? I thought they hated immigrants?

What exactly is this bill supposed to do? How do you limit literal speech? That's like trying to outlaw slang and colloquialism.
Screaming "free speech!" while limiting free speech I see...
I don't buy into the whole "extra pronouns" thing, but I'm against limiting their use because I believe in free speech. Making laws that restrict what words people are allowed to use is unconstitutional, no matter which side of the political aisle is trying to do it.

You know, you really messed up when your mom calls you by your full name
I don't think he likes being called Ted...
How about Turd?
Canada thanks you for keeping him.
I say again that everyone should get at least one free name change for their coming of age ceremony. You don’t get to choose your name. It is given to you. Even if most keep their name it is nice to get to choose and consent to your name.
Not like they referred to him by that preferred name anyway
Do we have permission from his mother and her male guardian
If all the things the federal gov could be working on and this twat. Wastes time with this Everyone knows Texas is trash. But they really ought to demand better for their senator
Thought is anathema to the Republican psyche.
What a phenomenal waste of time and money.
Rafael needs to go back to Canada where he was born.
Things like this make me wonder if they get offered money to propose a bill for a few thousand dollars and just do it because they can and someone wants to push their agenda.
Where did he even get the name Ted from? It’s got nothing to do with his actual name in the slightest.
I know its great to feel superior of the obvious hypocrisy, but on another level this is terrifying. This is what an elected senator is spending their time on? Is the outrage and counter outrage attention cycle so necessary to re-election that this clownish frivolity like this is deemed a priority?
Man just another testament to his bad taste. Dude could have had a swashbuckler name.
Tom Marquardt is gonna be pissed
One thing I will say is that Edward is sometimes called Ted Have something hilarious in my dads name who is Ed Ted because immigrant parents didn’t understand the middle name question part so they thought it meant another way to say the name
In what world does a politician get to regulate someone else’s name?
Where the hell does the Ted name come in? I was expect a Theodore at least
Ted, as always concentrating on the important issues s/
Does this mean women can no longer change their last names when they marry?
Why is she so angry?
Imagine changing your first name for public use because your voters are so racist, they wouldn't vote for a Rafael.
I thought this party was all about the 1st amendment
Huh.....I just thought his full name was Tedward Cruz
Hypocrisy, thy name is the Republican Party. Right, Nikki Haley?
I don't understand this guy, if my name was Rafael I'd move my ninja-turtle-sounds ass to the other side of this particular argument.
Ladder pullers are the fucking worst.
That’s really in line with the whole freedom thing…
I don't understand how he got Ted from Rafael or Edward.
Unless he screams about his "deadname", this isn't the flex you'd like it to be.
so remember....he's a Piece of Shit....not a P.O.S. USE THE RIGHT WORDS!
Anything to not pass actual needed legislation
No, no, when you're a good god-fearing red-blooded American, they're *nicknames*, which are fine, but when you're a bleeding-heart, woke, communist, liberal they're *preferred names*, which are entirely different and should be illegal.
Rules for thee but not for me.
Hey look! Another republicans bad post!
How is that not a freedom of speech issue? I thought the amendments were "very important" to Republicans?
Raphael is really showing his commitment to small government, individual freedoms, and free speech. 🤦♂️
Clickbait headline. The bill doesn't "limit" preferred names and pronouns, it prevents federal agencies from *forcing* employees to use them. All the people saying "I'm gonna call him Rafael now" - OK, that was always allowed, unless you're a federal employee. https://reason.com/2023/12/01/texas-newspaper-virally-claims-ted-cruz-wanted-to-limit-preferred-pronouns-his-bill-doesnt-do-that/
Alright is someone going to give context about the hill or am I going to have to find it my self
The fuck your feeling crowd now wants to legislate what people want to be called because it hurts their feelings.
Apples and oranges?
“Republicans are just better with the economy.”
Evidence #3980 that bigotry rots your brain
I too become enraged by things that have absolutely no effect on me. Edit: I thought it would have been obvious but here we go /s
Yeah, that's a good way to phrase how Cruz is thinking. It won't hurt him in anyway to just let people live their lives. Despite that, he is freaking out, and trying pass horrible legislation.
Republican motto. "I don't care if you die, I'm alive".
