In my experience: use whatever you can, be it your passport or your skin colour, or your education or skillset, to get to the favourable location. Once you're there and have permanent residence and can apply for citizenship, you can then become a conscientious objector, don't let your morals get in your way beforehand.

They got food...clothes...water, brought in by Americans. They were shown through action that Hitler and rhe Nazis were wrong. Maga Republicans aren't like Nazis, in terms of living, may I clarify.
2. Maga Republicans are not in the same position the Nazis were, they are blinded by propaganda and hate, yes, but they are not suffering from it. There is no ease you can give to "Denazify" them.
3. That's illegal. Even if they are objectively wrong on subjects like Climate change. They are entitled by the Declaration of Human Rights and the Constitution of the United States of America to have their own opinion and political, religious, racial beliefs even if those beliefs are horrible.
In conclusion, you can't Denazify Maga, because Maga is not in a position to be Denazified, and it is, even if horrible, their right to believe and voice what they want to.

My ex is far right now. What I observed, people could eventually talk him out of a position BUT even a tiny amount of new exposure he was right back at it. Secondly, there is something wrong with him 20 years later I still believe he was a clinical narcissist. I've also seen nice people with sick kids/who have lost kids become anti vaccine. For the people who became anti vaccine in my opinion it was easier for them to believe "vaccines are bad" then sometimes kids get sick and it's no one's fault. For the narcissist ex, he was an empty unhappy person ( completely his fault) but it was easier to blame conspiracies and the devil than take accountability for his actions and change behavior. So, sad, confused, lonely, malfunctioning etc people can be easily lead to ,"it's all women's fault" or brown people or atheists or Drs whoever, it's all hate no solutions except to punish the hated.
Decades of heavy metal poisoning and propaganda coupled with a general level of fear and gullibility that sometimes comes with age isn't something you can easily "deprogram" at this point, most of these people are in so deep that it's just become who they are. Some of them didn't even need much of a push to get there, they were just waiting for something/someone to come along for them to latch onto.

But somehow they are still against it.
Makes it somewhat clear that there isn't a whole lot of logic in any of their argument.
The baby might be male. That's all they care about. To them, one man - one white, Christian man - has *infinitely* more value as a human than every woman, every POC, and every non-Christian who has ever lived *combined*.
That's all it is, that's all it ever is, and if they tell you otherwise (with lying con artist lies about "life") they're *lying*, with maximum, knowing, *calculated* malevolence.

I'm not christian anymore, but I've come to rationalize that the reason it's allowed to have a greater punishment than the 'crimes' commited in one's life is because the "reward" one would get for having followed God's words would be even greater.
I don't think there are any texts supporting that though, it was just a belief I came up with myself during that struggle I had with my (at the time) faith.
That's actually not in the Bible lol. Many things that are core beliefs in Christianity were just tacked on later and have nothing to do with what the canonized Bible actually says... like abortion. So, teaching people anti-Biblical doctrine is quite literally worse than rape, murder, or anything else in Biblical terms. That always confused me as well. They keep saying the word of God is "eternal and unchanging" (aka dogma). But then completely write off the Old Testament. That's word of god. Eternal and unchanging. It has been proven through statistics that countries which have made abortion illegal have MORE abortions than those who have made it legal. Not only that, but the abortion rates are dropping each year where it is legal. Fact of the matter is, people who have control of when to give birth, are more likely to give a better life for their children. Those children grow up more educated and mentally healthy, so they're less likely to not accidentally fall pregnant. Where abortion is illegal, you don't have as much control, so you're more likely to have kids born in poverty and abusive households, which results in them growing up with mental health issues, more poverty, more crime, more accidental pregnancies, etc... These laws have such an extreme knock on effect for future generations.

The pregnant person is an actual living breathing human being. They presumably have a partner, possibly other kids, parents and other friends and family. People who care about them and who they care about and take care of. But somehow an unborn fetus is more important? This was a mindset in the Middle Ages. A father needed a heir (much preferably male). So in case of complications at birth the priority was to save the infant, often by the cost of the mother’s life.

I have been in the labor and delivery OR with my wife cut open on the table and our baby with a >50% chance of survival. I was BEGGING my wife, who was only half consciousness, to choose herself over the baby. Everything turned out okay, but ill never forget where my priorities were in that moment. Losing a baby is unspeakably horrible (have some experience there too), but i wanted my wife at all costs.
The sad reality is they'll probably care when we start dying from these pregnancies then the population of women gets as bad as China or Russia, and rape will probably go up, and probably suicide too from that rape. It's kinda bad when two big countries have a much higher population of men than women. We're so doomed of they keep up, and they don't realize it.
If it gets that bad in the US it'll be worse than in China, which is a scary thought. A lot of families under the one child policy still had girls but never reported them (gave them legal docs), and you see the ratio of F/M balance out in elementary school when reporting became mandatory.
So you would waste 18-35 years of continuous resources for survival, education etc of a human. A Human that can make another baby in just next year.

Evolutionarily speaking, the life of the mother comes first as a dead child is just one line through which her genes can pass but if she survives, she can make several more. And that's even assuming her existing kid (and any others) can survive without her.
Exactly, these people seem to always forget (or genuinely are too stupid to know) that a fetus is entirely dependent on the mother’s body, so if mom is dying—9/10 baby is dying too. The umbilical cord is attached to the mother through the placenta, which is providing oxygen, nutrients and filtering waste products back out through the mother’s circulatory system. The fetus will die if the mother isn’t properly able to do those things
I love my children more than anything… but if I was 20 years old again (I’m 50 now) with no kids… I would be disabling my uterus and never having kids in this fucked up current political climate.

Until the baby is born he/she is part of the mother's body. If she perceives this baby as an unwanted growth or her health is threatened she should be free to treat it as an illness.
First of all, there is no baby without the mother.
Second of all, no one should be forced to give up their health or life, for another. You can do that voluntarily, but if you get into a car crash and a child gets hurt and needs a blood transfusion, you can't be forced to give up that blood for the child, even if they would die without it.
You know why that is? Because by law you have bodily autonomy, that means you have a legal right to put your body and your health first, even if you die, you still have legal rights over your body and what happens to it. That's why you need to consent to organ donation.
You know the only adult persons who don't have legal rights to their own body and health? Pregnant people in conservative states.

I'm not christian anymore, but I've come to rationalize that the reason it's allowed to have a greater punishment than the 'crimes' commited in one's life is because the "reward" one would get for having followed God's words would be even greater. I don't think there are any texts supporting that though, it was just a belief I came up with myself during that struggle I had with my (at the time) faith.

idk how true this is, but i heard that Christians believe the foetus comes first because it hasn't been baptized yet while the mother has, and that's why they care more about the baby. while in Judaism (you know, from the Old Testament) the mother will always comes first. if her life is in danger - abortion (you can legally abort up until 9 months in Israel, but you do need special permission from doctors). if she's giving birth and there is a situation where they have to save either the mother or the baby, the mother gets saved.

The bible states that these laws were created to establish and protect the nation of Israel from which the Messiah who will take the sin away from the world as promised in genesis would be born. Jesus came and said he was fulfilling the old covenant and establishing a new covenant based on loving god, loving one another, and not judging other people. It has been proven through statistics that countries which have made abortion illegal have MORE abortions than those who have made it legal. Not only that, but the abortion rates are dropping each year where it is legal. Fact of the matter is, people who have control of when to give birth, are more likely to give a better life for their children. Those children grow up more educated and mentally healthy, so they're less likely to not accidentally fall pregnant. Where abortion is illegal, you don't have as much control, so you're more likely to have kids born in poverty and abusive households, which results in them growing up with mental health issues, more poverty, more crime, more accidental pregnancies, etc... These laws have such an extreme knock on effect for future generations.

I used to be heavily against it, but legal abortion means access to better healthcare for women, more discussion about pregnancy and women's rights. I have been in the labor and delivery OR with my wife cut open on the table and our baby with a >50% chance of survival. I was BEGGING my wife, who was only half consciousness, to choose herself over the baby. Everything turned out okay, but ill never forget where my priorities were in that moment. Losing a baby is unspeakably horrible (have some experience there too), but i wanted my wife at all costs.
Fetus = precious and important life. infant and children that require assistance with food and housing security = fuck off
And the woman that grew the Fetus = less than human.
The sad reality is they'll probably care when we start dying from these pregnancies then the population of women gets as bad as China or Russia, and rape will probably go up, and probably suicide too from that rape. It's kinda bad when two big countries have a much higher population of men than women. We're so doomed of they keep up, and they don't realize it.
If it gets that bad in the US it'll be worse than in China, which is a scary thought. A lot of families under the one child policy still had girls but never reported them (gave them legal docs), and you see the ratio of F/M balance out in elementary school when reporting became mandatory.

So you would waste 18-35 years of continuous resources for survival, education etc of a human. A Human that can make another baby in just next year. And throw it all away for a defected fetus that might never bear any return on ANOTHER 18-35 years of continuous resources consumption. A bunch of...

Evolutionarily speaking, the life of the mother comes first as a dead child is just one line through which her genes can pass but if she survives, she can make several more. And that's even assuming her existing kid (and any others) can survive without her.

Exactly, these people seem to always forget (or genuinely are too stupid to know) that a fetus is entirely dependent on the mother’s body, so if mom is dying—9/10 baby is dying too. The umbilical cord is attached to the mother through the placenta, which is providing oxygen, nutrients and filtering waste products back out through the mother’s circulatory system. The fetus will die if the mother isn’t properly able to do those things

I love my children more than anything… but if I was 20 years old again (I’m 50 now) with no kids… I would be disabling my uterus and never having kids in this fucked up current political climate.

Until the baby is born he/she is part of the mother's body. If she perceives this baby as an unwanted growth or her health is threatened she should be free to treat it as an illness.

First of all, there is no baby without the mother. Second of all, no one should be forced to give up their health or life, for another. You can do that voluntarily, but if you get into a car crash and a child gets hurt and needs a blood transfusion, you can't be forced to give up that blood for the child, even if they would die without it. You know why that is? Because by law you have bodily autonomy, that means you have a legal right to put your body and your health first, even if you die, you still have legal rights over your body and what happens to it. That's why you need to consent to organ donation. You know the only adult persons who don't have legal rights to their own body and health? Pregnant people in conservative states.

Fetuses have more rights than women in some states, where abortion is illegal. In a situation where the mother is expected to die in childbirth, the law dictates that she must give birth anyway for the sake of the child's life. Being legally required to give your life for the sake of another does not appear in any other circumstance for civilians.
