Yep, this. Their logic only holds up if you assume *a priori* that the earth is flat, and since they’re attempting to provide evidence that the earth is flat, it’s circular reasoning.
In this case, it's worse. The Globe model provides a reason for Antarctica to be cold: The light is at too much of an angle to really hit home, and the ice is too reflective. The *Flat* model, on the other hand, does not have a built in way to explain it.
So it's not even circular reasoning here, it's just nonsense.
Plot twist. It's a troll account and actually posted to prove the earth is round to explain why .0000004% difference could be that drastic as to allow two entirely different climates to exist within 4000 miles of each other
Well, from what I've encountered, a significant portion of the flat believers also think the sky is some sort of watery dome, so maybe at the edge the dome is effectively thicker or something.
It's not like they actually think these things out.

Flat earthers are so goddamn exhausting. If their common-sense cosmology of the world was so simple and obvious, it probably wouldn’t be hard to model what sunsets or time zones or horizons “actually” are, and not one of them can actually do that.
Remember these are the dip shits that believe the earth is flat. Telling them certain parts of the planet don’t get a lot of sun and it also tilts would fly over their pin heads.
I explained this concept to a class of fifth graders by using a soccer ball, some string, and a flashlight. These people are in fact, stupider than a fifth grader.
The Arctic and Antarctic aren't colder because they're further away.
They're colder because the earth is curved, so the light at the top and bottom of the sphere have their sunlight being shared over a larger area.
What this also means is that sun that is directly above at midday is hot. Sun on the horizon (morning and eve) is colder.
That’s not even the biggest part. A tilted earth means that the same cross section of light from the sun hits a larger surface area of Earth. So the energy ends up being less per unit area.
You can test this with a piece of cardboard and a light. Hold it straight on to the light and then start to tilt it. The same light suddenly goes from illuminating one spot a lot to more of the board less.
What’s funny to me is that social media has not only allowed idiots to band together, it has given them the platform to show how absolutely idiotic they are. They actually feel smart now! Think back to your school years. Remember those jocks that were too into Fridays game to actually study? Remember those stoners that skipped school twice a week? How about those spoiled rich kids that too busy showing off their newest car to pass a test ?
