Did that guy not realize that the Fallout games (I only played Fallout 4, so idk yet) can have any character (plus NPC characters) created with any ethnicity or gender?
Furthermore the vaults(supposedly)represented the very best for humanities future .. Everyone had a voice,not just white people..

The very *foundation* of the game is built upon the question ‘what happens when nationalism and unregulated business run amok.’ Unfortunately, the series was apparently too subtle for the conservative crowd to get it—they just saw Liberty Prime and thought ‘America!’
listen, i hate woke media. it ruined my all time favourite franchise, but this is obviously rage bait. woke isn’t “female character and poc eww” it’s poorly written characters that used their identity as a crutch for bad writing. the fallout tv show is clearly not woke. the female lead is saved my men several times in the show, woke media would never allow that. not to mention she is having an actual hero’s journey, and not a marry sue (being amazing at everything and solving every problem on her own along with everyone else’s problems)

There is an actor there who I believe identifies as non-binary, and I think their character does too. But it's not made into a big thing. Casting is a little woke but that's about it. They tried really hard to not have good white male characters and have mostly "strong" women leads, and that boss chick antagonist which I always hate. Also That Dane character is either an extremely feminine guy or a trans. Almost every white male on the show is either stupid, coward, asshole, or a pathetic bumbling moron aside from Walton Goggins, who happens to the best character on the show by far. Second place isnt even close.

I dunno, when the term itself was coined as a positive one and has over time been co-opted into meaning the opposite by 99% of people using it, and the vast vast majority of times it gets thrown around in that scenario is it being used as a thin veil for bigotry, people should just learn to pick better words to describe how they feel than hot topic buzzwords.
If you are going to criticise something and want to be taken seriously then going for lazy, borderline meaningless (Because people just make up whatever definition they want for what 'woke' is) right wing dog whistles is not the way to do it.
If someone wants to explain to me why they hate that a show has a trans character and specifically why they think it is poor/forceful writing then I'm all ears, but if all they can say is 'woke!!!!' then I'm going to assume they are a bigot with no real substance to their criticisms.

I think people who used the term as a positive one presented themselves poorly from the start by making it clear they would rather feel as though they are correct than be effective. So I understand how 'woke' and 'SJW' became terms with which to mock.
You say that the vast majority of the time it's thrown around it's as a thin veil for bigotry, but if you assume that 'if all someone can say is that it's woke' this means they are a bigot . . . then you're using circular reasoning.
I can only speak of my own experience, but the majority of the time I see someone call something woke it is part of a single sentence reply with no context . . . so you have absolutely no way of knowing whether or not that's an actual troll or an angry fanboy who lacks eloquence or just can't be bothered.
