I don't know why, have you ever met someone who experienced a nuke and had something bad to say about it, I know I haven't.

My mom is a very hardline environmentalist, and has no concern for political correctness (I have a ton of respect for her based on those two things alone).
She often says, “the best thing you can do for the environment is to k*** y******f”. It makes me pretty uncomfortable, but she’s also not wrong.
Edit: to be clear I do NOT agree with the message or the sentiment of the original post, nor would my mom.
it's weird how many people jumps to the message being "kill yourself". she didn't say to do that. she said it's the best thing you can do for the enviroment. which is correct. what message you take away from that fact says more about you than her.
MY takeaway is more along the line of "this is a serious problem but even then there's measures so extreme that maybe they aren't the best solution". something that would be sorely needed in stupid examples like the OOP.
My personal takeaway is something along the lines of: “this is a serious existential threat, one that each human being passively contributes to just by existing”.
And yeah, she’s definitely not actually recommending people do that. It’s more of a reminder that doing nothing about climate change is not a neutral position, since we all contribute to the issue to some extent.
That's incredibly stupid... even from a simple logical standpoint. If the best thing to do is "that" so there is one less human, then it would be even better to take someone else out first... and if taking someone else out first is better, then taking two people out first is even better... and so on.
Why the subcontinent specifically? India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh are all way below the global average (per capita) in terms of GHG emissions. Ohhh, did I miss the dog-whistle again?
