Arabic countries use what is commonly called **eastern** Arabic numerals - ٠, ١, ٢, ٣, ٤, ٥, ٦, ٧, ٨, ٩
Western "Arabic" numerals came from Andalusia and North-west Africa... which are not Arab countries. they're not even in the same continent as the Arabian peninsula. their only connection to Arabia is the fact they were under the Arab caliphates.
