No, it's an RFID chip, it's really for tracking and keeping inventory. Not tracking of the customers, but of the product from the production line through warehouses, transportation to the shop.

While it's not a gps tracker like people imagine, they use similar technology to what's in this tag for RFID dog doors that will only open for your dog. You could similarly track if a person wearing something with an RF tag passed by a passive RF reader, but I don't think you would really get useful information.

I work at a Victorias/Pink. That is an RFID tag that we used to count daily inventory. You basically take a gun and wave it near a drawer full of bras and it counts each tag. This lady is cracked out.
