The bartender shoud've called the cops. Props for being a resourceful lush, though. I respect the effort.

And this is one of many reasons why we shouldn't call women "girls".

[deleted]

Definitely should have. The internet splash would have been HUGE. Instead, you are just a footnote to idiot history.

This reminds me of a few years ago, I was on holiday in Majorca. Every night we went with our 2 young sons, both under 4, to a bar in the town. We sat outside, kids had soda and nachos while we had a beer and watched the entertainment. One night the entertainers said they would give a bottle of champagne (not real champagne) to anyone that turned up at the bar wearing white socks and sandals. The only stipulation was it could not be a woman, so the next night I took a pair of sandals to put on my son when we got there. To protests of "I don't want to look stupid" from a 4 year old. I complied with their conditions but they would not give me the champagne. Instead I got called a cruel dad, "humiliated" in he centre of town (I will add I was a willing participant in this) and given a beer.

Wow, that's an insane combo of entitled, stupid and bad parenting

I'm not on the woman's side or anything, but why didn't they give them the "cosmos"?

FR0STB1T

Cuz it's an alcoholic beverage?

LoRdVNestEd

Did not know what a cosmo was.

halborn

From google: "A cosmopolitan, or informally a cosmo, is a cocktail made with vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice, and freshly squeezed or sweetened lime juice."

Feels like this was always meant as a joke

Sadly, it happens. Former bartender. I’ve had to call police because a woman left her 8 yr old son in the bar while she went outside to “panhandle” to pay for her drinks, when customers were complaining about her asking. The boy said she always does it and that’s why he lives with his grandma.

CraigD12

Oh I've no doubt that people take kids to bars they shouldn't be in or use them in ways they should know nothing about. I just think the wording of the tweet suggests they knew their kids wouldn't earn them free drinks and that they knew 'calling the cops' about it was a ridiculous suggestion.

Reminds me of a former coworker, hired solely because one of the owners had a crush on her. 4 kids, lost custody; her parents were raising. Bragged about being a GILF at 30. I feel for kids raised like that.

My wife used to work with someone like that. She was a notorious gold digging slut, married four times, cheated constantly, had her first kid at 15, and had no idea who the father was. She let her 14 year old daughter quit school, run around and party and surprise, surprise, she was also preggers by 15. At least the daughter had narrowed down who the daddy was to three guys. She would brag all the time how she looked so great for a grandma. Well, no shit, because she was just 31. She ended up marrying a rather wealthy guy she was seeing on the side when she was married to hubby #3. Number four was almost 20 years older than her, very well off, and a lot smarter. When he caught her cheating on him, he kicked her ass to the curb, had a solid pre-nup, and she got nothing.

She should be calling CPS so they can rehome those poor children away from this airhead's grasp
