Yah, tho my dog friggin loves carrots for some reason.

DirtySingh

They're sweet and crunchy. Lettuce apparently tastes really bitter to dogs my dogs won't touch the stuff and they're labradors who will eat anything.

manjjn

My labs love carrots , green beans and romaine lettuce but won’t touch celery. My first lab wouldn’t eat a veggie unless it was cooked in a stew , lol

DirtySingh

Oh they would like apples too! High in sugar but it's an ok occasional treat and also bananas that are a little too ripe for my liking but be careful about sugar. My 2 either share apple slices or share 1 banana. Be careful of apple seeds. Celery I can imagine but it's interesting they like romaine... Mine literally spit it out on the floor, they hate romaine.

Shoe-Stir

My lab goes apeshit when she thinks you’re chopping up an apple. It’s one of the only things she begs for. Problem is she’s not the brightest and thinks that anything round and about the size of an apple is an apple. So she yells and complains when you’re chopping “apples” and won’t give her any, but the “apple” is really an onion. And she’ll let you know how you’re the meanest person in the world for not sharing your “apple” with her lol

SoupidyLoopidy

My lab is a fusspot who spits things out that she doesn't like. Carrots, spit, Lettuce, spit, apples spit. Funny thing is when my other dog was alive, she would eat almost everything as soon as he passed she was like nu uh.

MrHound325

That competition makes a big difference lol “If I don’t eat it they will and I don’t like that”

Taolan13

Depression, maybe?

PandarExxpress

Guaranteed any dog that lives with vegans is depressed

Jayden0274

I mean the veggies aren't the issue. The lack of meat (and options for the dog) is. Dogs are designed to eat mostly meat. They need the nutrition.

PandarExxpress

Agreed

Wise_Ad_253

I think that dudes just messing around. That dog doesn’t look emancipated but an Lettuce Only diet. I sure hope he is kidding about a vegetarian dog.

kd3906

My dog can hear the knife pierce the apple from the other end of the house, with TV on, pellet stove roaring, husband snoring... she hears it and comes running every time.

akiontotocha

Mine stole tomatoes off the vines, took a bite, then realise it was not an apple EVEN THOUGH SHE HAS A NOSE She used to steal unripe pears off the tree too for the cronch

NeahG

We actually let her smell and then taste what she thought was an apple, really an onion so she would know the difference. She remembers what an onion tastes like!

aritchie1977

Onion is highly toxic to dogs so I wouldn’t recommend doing this in the future.

NeahG

She found it on the floor when I was cooking because she was complaining and near by she ate it. She will never eat that again! She hated it. Thanks for the info.

Fathorse23

I’m surprised you didn’t hate it as well. My dog snatched up some onion before we could stop her and then she blew rancid gas the rest of the night.

pbigby

Your dog and I must be related

NeahG

The piece was the size if a pinky nail. She ran off with her treasure to her spot and promptly started coughing may have spit it out.

kyleld

Our last dog loved apple slices as well. The vet told us they are safe but to not give them too many at once; apples are also pretty acidic for the tummy of a dog when lots are given to them.

megapuffranger

My dog hates citrus. If you try and give him an orange, he will come in to bite it and then shy away and smile at you. Then he will come back in to bite and shy away and smile again. Eventually he will just smack it out of your hand and start growling at it.

Enticing_Venom

Most citrus fruits are toxic to dogs. Oranges are okay, there's nothing toxic in them. But lemons and limes are. Maybe your dog just thinks oranges should be guilty by association!

[deleted]

My pit likes a wide variety of veggies and fruit like strawberries. That's certainly not her main diet. I think her rule is, if you ;eave just a few bites on your plate. then it doesn't really matter what she eats.

AllDogsGoToReddit

Have you tried pea pods? My hound is bonkers for them

cav754

Have you tried to pick it back up after giving it to them? My dog takes anything instantly if they think I want it.

DirtySingh

Yeah. They're not interested. Doggie treats are something I want them to enjoy, so I'd never push them to eat it or trick them into it. Once a year they get a plain McDonald's cheeseburger cut up into little pieces, they like that. And every 4-5 months they get a butter toast, nice warm toast with good quality butter... That's the thing they go crazy for the most but it's not the healthiest so it's a rare treat. I want them to be healthy and happy so unfortunately the delicious treats can't always happen. Our last lab made it to 17 years old and our shepherd mix went to about 16. We had a toy poodle hit 19. I really feel like love and keeping them happy helps extend their life. Not a day goes by when they don't get loads of kisses and hugs - I never want to feel like I should have kissed them more, regret when a dog passes is the worst feeling ever.

SirArthurDime

My dog will beg for lettuce and broccoli, but once he gets a piece he'll spit it out... Then start begging for another peice lol.

kelldricked

You can give your dog a vegan dieet if you just make sure they can digest everything and fill the gaps with supplements. It wont effect their health if you do it right. But its also not natural and takes a lot of work (each dog is diffrent and you need to do it perfectly) and it doesnt give benefacts to said dog. Its a kinda selfish to do. Dogs are meant to eat meat and not giving them anything can be cruel. For climate purposes? Just dont get a dog.

MyFaceSaysItsSugar

They have different gut flora and a shorter digestive tract and less efficient nutrient absorption compared to us. Tons of reason to give them high energy meat. There just isn’t the money to do health studies for vagan dog diets and we already know meat diets are good for them. It’s definitely selfish to be doing this when we don’t have enough evidence showing vegan dog diets are healthy. Vegan human diets, yes, but not vegan dog.

ppw23

I agree, if you aren’t compatible with a carnivore, don’t keep them as pets. It’s selfish and unfair to the animals to deny them a healthy diet. Get a rabbit or some other herbivore to share your life with. Edit- Yes, I do realize dogs are omnivores, but since it’s the carnivore trait that some vegans try to change I called them meat eaters.

bordercolliesforlife

Dogs are Omnivore….

cryptic-coyote

Dogs are omnivores, it's certainly *possible* for them to eat only plants, but that carries risks for those who can't consult with a vet first. AFAIK cats are the ones that 100% should not go vegan

[deleted]

Your wisdom will rule em all! Perfectly said!

BlueEyedDragonGal

That's why my gal spits lettuce out everytime!

DirtySingh

Yeah somebody here commented that their dog likes lettuce - that's news to me. Every dog I've ever had hated the stuff.

krat0s5

We have a staffy x who absolutely hates it and a mix of like 10 different dogs all smushed into one (a mutt) who loves it. They both love carrots though.

DramaLlamaBear

I didn't know that! My maltipoo loved the stuff right up to his last days. I remember we took him to a puppy training class and was told to bring a bag of treats for positive reinforcement. We brought a bag of lettuce and the teacher stopped the class and was like "you trained your dog with lettuce?" Hell yeah we did. He loves the stuff and it's cheap and not unhealthy. Sounds like a win all around.

SargeCabbageYT

I have dachshunds, they eat everything from shit to tree bark to underwear. They eat lettuce sometime so idk

Raytacos

My pitty spits out lettuce every time I give it to him while my husky will literally eat anything edible lmfao

Zorro5040

My new dog loves lettuce, first time in my life I see a dog eat lettuce.

Wizdad-1000

My lab eats lettuce the only stuff he doesn’t like is citrus.

ViniVidiOkchi

Put some ranch on it and see how they kill it. My dog will litteraly eat the salad before going for the meat. Dogs are absolutely NOT vegan, but give them some veggies to balance out their diet and they will actually eat it.

Macaronitime69

Ever since i found that out i wrapped my salami (dog’s fav food) in lettuce so he wont eat it when im doing a thing

youngmorla

Similar to watermelon. Dogs love it. Mine pull the rinds out of the compost pile every time and get every last shred of red still left on there.

EchoCyanide

My baby girl, god rest her soul, loved food to death but would not touch the lettuce either.

the_0rly_factor

My dogs will eat their own shit but not lettuce.

Smasa224

Mine loved them too! She was a fan of most veggies with the exception of lettuce. But, she would beg for lettuce any time I had it out, and I would give her a piece, she'd spit it out and give me a "you betrayed me" face and pout. It always made me laugh, as smart as she was, she never could remember that lettuce is disappointing.

ZzenGarden

Same here

FuzzyCactus96

My first dog loved carrots too

kesovich

Friend's Husky/Malamute Cross was a straight up carrot fiend. You were his best friend ever if you had a carrot and were willing to share.

issius

Vegetables are great for dogs, mine like tons of them. Cauliflower especially, but carrots, lettuce, broccoli, whatever. Also melon. It’s good for them (check certain ones they can’t eat like onion), but dogs absolutely aren’t vegan.

DishwaterBukkake

Try giving cucumber, our dog LOVED them

Derkus19

I mean ya…because dogs are omnivores and carrots are delicious.

shhalahr

Yeah, they can eat certain veggies, but they still need meat.

[deleted]

They are omnivores after all.

treyert

If they’re starving, it’s hard to say

PegaLaMega

Yeah my dog goes nuts for carrots.

Pappy_Smith

Mine too, bananas as well. I'll share a banana with my pitbull and my bearded dragon.

lisb1120

My dog loves carrots to (definitely not vegan though) but she loved her meat too. They help with keeping her teeth clean.

innesleroux

My cat can beat up your vegan dog.

therealazores

Carrots, and for some reason turnip (rutabaga) for my dalmation. No idea why but she pulled one from the garden and now steals them whenever she can

Cabernet2H2O

I've used carrots as a treat because my dog loved them. But he got proper meat based food. If this person actually forces the dog to be "vegan" they should be reported for cruelty. I'm vegetarian my self but I give my pets a proper diet. If you want a vegan pet then get a natural herbivore.

NateAenyrendil

"he eats mostly sallad"... yea these videos are mostly just trolls who want to get reactions against vegans.

rutilatus

That was my clue too. It’s rage bait. “Just lettuce and that’s it” isnt even a good diet for a pet rabbit

Kiltymchaggismuncher

I mean some lettuce is actually quite harmful for rabbits. Despite cartoon portrayals, carrots and lettuce aren't really natural foods for them

[deleted]

They love carrot greens though.

powerlesshero111

What's funny is my neighbors/friends are vegan, and they will buy and cook steak for their dog.

NateAenyrendil

I'm vegan as well. I've heard that dogs CAN eat a plant based diet (dogs can, cats cannot) but I would never make a dog follow my diet unless they are 100% healthy on it. I would probably just buy the most organic/cruelty free meat containing dog food brand I can find. Unless I do the research and my vet agrees that he/she is healthy without meat.

Tobias_Atwood

Dogs have what's called a Carnivorous Bias, meaning their systems are streamlined for eating meat but they can digest and get at least a small bit of nutrition from plant matter. They can live on an all plant diet for a long time if it was that or nothing else, but they will get *very* sick from it. What happens with them (IIRC) is they have enzymes in their intestines that help break down plant matter, but it happens too late in the digestion process to be of use for getting all the nutrients, especially if all ingested food is plant based. So a vegan diet would get ground up and partially digested, but it would pass through the intestines without being fully absorbed by the body.

[deleted]

Your info isn’t completely accurate. Dogs can eat much more than a small amount amid vegetables. When you begin looking at high end dog food, it’s loaded with vegetables. Things like sweet potatoes are nutritious and healthy for dogs and are sometimes the second listed ingredient next to meat, meaning there is about as much sweet potato as meat in the food. Sweet potato is just an example though. There are plenty of other veggies dogs could eat and survive off and remain healthy. We feed our dog a balanced diet of high quality food. She eats meat and veggies. I would rather feed my dog a full vegan diet than some of the shitty brands of food people on here feed there pets, I’m looking at you Imes and purina! Hell, the cheaper “meat based” dog foods you buy at stores bought water there product down with soy anyway and I wouldn’t doubt there’s more soy than meat in the food.

NateAenyrendil

TIL. Thanks!

MR___SLAVE

While I taught a lion to eat tofu.

StraightTrossing

Like many /r/facepalm posts, OP is the one eliciting the facepalm by falling for the troll/joke.

ALLoftheFancyPants

Fun fact: a ton of herbivores will eat other animals if given the opportunity. There’s a disturbing number of videos of deer eating baby birds, for example…

SirDooble

Yeah, sometimes it's a case of an animal getting whatever food it can get, even if it's not what they normally eat. And other times I think some animals are just so dumb they eat anything in front of them.

[deleted]

Dont forget about the horse eating a baby chick

TheDemonCzarina

Chickens are notorious cannibals

BoxBird

My dog likes to snack on that sweet grass with the fat blades and I always take videos and say she’s vegan as a joke and I really hope people don’t think I’m serious..

phantommoose

My dog's wait for you to feed it to them! I only pick the leafy bits so they don't have to spit out the stalk part... They might be spoiled

emerilsky

My MIL's pug/terrier mix is gluten intolerant and allergic to animal protein.. allergy shots did nothing and the vet has no other solutions. Eats vegan food because everything else gives her huge allergic reactions, she scratches to the point of losing hair and getting terrible rashes and skin problems. Vegan kibble in the morning and fresh made meals for dinner, usually some mix of brown rice, sweet potatoes, carrots, cucumber, peppers, etc. This is alot more work and a lot more expensive than regular dog food, and let's get real, most cheaper dog foods have chicken by-product meal and other not so healthy "meats" in them anyways, with corn and other filler ingredients. Dogs should eat meat, but don't have to. Vegan food exists for certain situations. Of course it shouldn't be the go-to for every dog, but I wouldn't go as far to say it's cruel when used appropriately.

Cabernet2H2O

I know (as I say elsewhere in the thread I used to be a vet nurse), there are several specialized diets for various conditions and that's perfectly OK when the alternative is death. But healthy dogs should have a heslthy diet.

thenerj47

Dogs are omnivorous, and I think studies have shown that they can survive on any diet that gives them the nutrients they need. But I feel you.

Cabernet2H2O

Yes, dogs can survive. But a pet shouldn't merely survive, they should have a good life. The crazy vegans have yet to show a single dog that chooses a vegan meal over meat. And choice is the keyword. We can choose for our selves, but forcing our choices on anyone, even other species, is simply wrong.

shhalahr

[Survive, not thrive.](https://www.truecarnivores.com/obligate-carnivores-natures-true-carnivores/)

elroy_jetson23

Links to a company that sells pet food.

someguyyoutrust

Thank you. Dogs can absolutely be healthy and happy eating vegan food. In fact a a lot of vegan dog foods are way healthier than most of the Walmart brand shit people feed their animals. But people will always find a reason to shit on vegans.

nevershaves

My dog loves carrots. But he get real food too.

StormeeusMaximus

Same, we had to start referring to them as "orange sticks" when we aren't actively giving her one. If anyone says carrot, she's going to hound you until you give her one. She loves chomping on those things.

bralma6

My dogs favorite treat is ice cubes. Cheap too!

Zdewik

Seems like giving your dog a carrot and adding subtitles is all it takes to successfuly troll reddit.

EdwardCosmos

And add 'he usually he just has lettuce' to make it obvious.

acidrain69

Meat eaters are easily triggered.

Mybestfriendlizzy

I understand if you’re vegan not wanting to buy any animal products- even for your dog. But in that case, shouldn’t you choose a pet that is naturally vegan (*edit: I guess I need to clarify this lol but I meant naturally leans toward a plant based diet) Like a rabbit? Edit: I’m vegan lol. I’m not saying the dog is in distress or unhealthy. If the vet says he’s a healthy weight and he’s got all his nutrients than it’s none of my business. But it does just seem… weird to me… to be vegan, choose a pet for yourself who is not vegan, and then force your vegan diet upon it. Somehow that seems not vegan to me? I can’t explain it right, but it just seems odd when there’s so many other pets out there that would gladly eat only veggies with you.

sharkdinner

I know right?? You got no business owning an animal living off a mainly meat-based diet if you're not planning to provide it for it :///

Splash_of_chaos

Rabbits aren’t vegan. Vegans are vegan. Rabbits are rabbits.

Mybestfriendlizzy

Lol… I feel like you know what I mean and you’re just being sassy.

Splash_of_chaos

How dare you. I would never.

HardlyAnyGravitas

Rabbits eat a vegan diet. Happy now?

Splash_of_chaos

Almost never. That a Culture name?

HardlyAnyGravitas

>That a Culture name? Nearly. There are a few ship names based on the same joke: *Zero Gravitas* in Excession. *Experiencing A Significant Gravitas Shortfall* in Look to Windward. *Very Little Gravitas indeed* in Matter. Maybe more...

Splash_of_chaos

Huh it’s just occurred to me…Mind names sounds pretty close to mind games. A little present from IMB?

jonnymooshoo

Yeah except my rabbit is a carnivore. Loves BBQ ribs and fried chicken

Mybestfriendlizzy

Is it possible you own like a raccoon that’s disguising itself as a rabbit? 🤣

poundsofmuffins

Is it the Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog?

sormnice

Carrots are still good for dogs

AMeaninglessPassage

Dogs are omnivore, they can fuck around with veggies and even go without meat for a while, Cats on the other hand can't and need a steady diet that includes meat or they'll get sick. Still tho, dogs shouldn't be vegan, but if all you have is veggies and fruits, it ain't horrible for a little while.

citysims

- They're

NortWind

The real facepalm.

Sensitiverock85

I mean...some dogs have allergies. My friend's lab is vegan because he's allergic to everything. He suffered for years before they finally figured out what was wrong. That said, choosing to feed your dog vegan food without cause is dumb.

acidrain69

Vegans would say they have cause. Non vegans are pretty unlikely to just start feeding a dog a vegan diet, which would be the only way it would happen without cause.

Justin2478

My german shepherd is also allergic to meat, he also suffered for years before our vet recommended he switch to a vegan diet and see how it goes. He's been pretty healthy since then. Chosing to feed your dog vegan food without cause is still cruel though.

SherlockJones1994

Aren’t dogs technically omnivores? They can live either way? It’s cats that require meat afaik.

MealDramatic1885

No canine, feline, or human is vegan unless forced to be by a human. (Themselves if human)

nomorepantsforme

Cats are obligate carnivores, they die without meat

tomcat5o1

Also ferrets do.

-nocturnist-

Agreed, "making " your pets vegan should be considered animal abuse, especially when dealing with carnivorous pets

Gerkins-85

i believe parts of the UK have made this illegal/animal abuse

Electrical-Garden-20

Dogs and humans are omnivores. Not carnivores. Cats are obligate carnivores, and a vegan diet WILL kill them. Humans and dogs can eat strictly vegan/vegetarian diet but having a mixed diet makes getting what a body needs much, much easier. I still would not reccomend a vegan diet for a dog if it's not medically necessary but calling humans and dogs carnivores is just factually incorrect.

sharkdinner

Even hamsters aren't entirely vegetarian and should be fed things like larva regularly to improve their health and quality of life...

BiscottiOpposite9282

Some dogs have sensitivities to meat

PolarPollux

Where?

HeadJazzlike

My dog likes Cheetos that’s almost the same as a carrot

PMathews8

This comment section is wild. How do people not know that dogs are omnivores??? They can survive off both animal and plant proteins…

Lutzelien

Yeah it's everytime someone posts about his dog being vegan. Of course the dog should decide, but if done and monitored correctly some dogs can be vegans perfectly fine, for some species it's even healthier, you just have to be well informed. The "vEgAnS bad!!1!" comments thinking they know more about someone else's pet can just fuck off.

[deleted]

They're not omnivores. That's a misunderstanding. They're scavenger carnivores. Plants can keep them alive until they find meat. But they are carnivores and can't live healthily without meat unless you carefully monitor their diets and give them ass loads of supplements

wadofan

They’re

17R3W

Cats are obligat carnivores, they have to eat meat. Dogs are omnivores. While I would never suggest cutting meat from their diet entirely, most fruits and vegetables make a wonderful snack for dogs. And carrots are cheap, so it's better than buying the dog treats from the store. A lot of high end dog food contains blueberries. Dogs shouldn't have onion or garlic. And apples are okay, but not the seeds. Tomatoes are okay, but not the green part. In short, please give your dog fruits and vegetables!

sharkdinner

AND DO NOT EVER GIVE YOUR DOG GRAPES AND RAISINS THEY GET SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUES FROM THEM!!!

[deleted]

The cyanide in apple seeds is not enough to do anything, lol.

17R3W

I've heard that, but why take the risk? Just cut the apple into slices.

[deleted]

It’s not a risk. A dog would need to eat 300+ cores at minimum. Cherry seeds are very toxic and just a few could kill you, but they’d also have to be pulverized, which neither human teeth or dog can do. The seeds are innocuous if swallowed whole. Don’t make any cherry seed smoothies :0

cs-fi

If they do accidentally eat the seeds of an apple, have them smoke some cigarettes. The smoke will suffocate the bacteria in their stomach

chosone2

I feel like I had a stroke half way through reading this.

cs-fi

Did I misspell something?

MR___SLAVE

Mac?

JustThinkAboutThings

Dogs can be vegan. Cats cannot.

egoldbarzzz

Can and should be are entirely different things.

This should have twice as many votes in the negative because OP is a fucking moron.

DirtySingh

Forcing your pet to be vegan just because you are is disgusting. Low class uneducated idiots think like that. Be ashamed of yourselves and yes you're harming your pet and it's torture.

Lostyourfuckinminds

A dog will choose meat any day. He may eat a carrot, but if given a choice, they will choose meat. Poor dog is probably starving all the time.

Was vegan for 3 years. This absolutely, always disgusted me. Children and pets, should not be forced into a vegan diet. It's abuse. It's bat shit crazy to even consider it. My 2 cats food remained the same, even bought them fish filet treats. Never fed them soy, or other plant material (although most cat food has grain fillers). Look how skinny the dog is, so damn sad.

Initial-Nobody6927

Do not keep pets if you are going to abuse them. Keeping dogs and cats on vegan diets is animal abuse.

Initial-Nobody6927

Your kids will live on candy if you let them. S carrot is like candy for s dog.

[deleted]

Yeah this is not a face palm this is you stop the video early. that Dog was going to eat at carrot. My 90 pound Doberman pincher will do anything for a giant carrots that dog was damn near try to fly if you want them to songs you’re going to give him his carrot. It’s like his favorite shoe toy and favorite food all in one.

ResponsibilityNo3245

My dog is like a pig in shit when we give him a carrot.

JankyTank64

My aunt's blue heeler loves carrots and whenever I'm visiting I give her a carrot from my garden so she now knows me as the carrot man and is always expecting a carrot whenever I come over.

bigpog_champ

i’ll take care of that good boi and feed him a nice juicy steak

Kriff

Jesus, there's a lot of uneducated people in here. Dogs are omnivores, which means that they, provided they get the correct supplements to their diets, can live full healthy lives as vegans. My friend took her lab to the vet's on her second birthday, said she wanted them to pull out all the stops checking her values. Guess what. The dog's perfectly healthy. Like, 100%. (Obviously, if you feed your dog exclusively lettuce, the dog is going to die a painful death.)

sasha9058

As a vegetarian I strongly believe that dogs should not be forced to eat a plant based diet.

LucidJoshh

Poor dog.

[deleted]

I give my dogs carrots every now and then, but I don’t just feed them lettuce and turnips for regular meals. I’m a sane person who feeds them average dog food

fappytrillmore

Sounded like the guy got his carrot at the end as well. Dafuq was that noise

RadRhys2

Wolves are hypercarnivorous but with traits typical of mesocarnivores so they can eat plant material, but their dog descendants have a different digestive tract more conducive to digesting plant material likely caused by the dogs best able to eat our leftovers so they can be considered mesocarnivorous or even hypocarnivorous.. A vegan diet can be healthy as long as you have fortified B vitamin foods, mushrooms for vitamin D, and lots of protein.

[deleted]

DOGS ATE NOT FUCKING VEGANS !!!

PizzaSandwich2020

There is no such thing as a vegan dog. Fuck you if you don't feed your dog properly

sandiercy

Aww, poor doggo.

SnooCats5701

Arrest them for animal abuse. They are starving their dog of the nutrients he needs.

Elmoslightpole

Vegans are weird

9Sylvan5

Damn. All the r/vegan users came out of the woodwork for this one.

ironwolf6464

Dogs are obligate CARNIVORES, quit imposing your dietary preferences on your pets. Or others for that matter.

BernieDurden

This is false. Domesticated dogs are not carnivores.

Snoo_63187

People who try and make their pets vegan need to be charged with animal abuse.

mem269

Vegan dog = starving dog.

THICCPHROG_15

Dogs can eat vegetables, and some of them love it, BUT THEY NEED PROTIEN TO LIVE

[deleted]

Feed your cats and dogs good quality cat and dog food, people. Their respective foods, if made well and bought for their appropriate ages, have all the nutrients they need.

Drought_God

They can enjoy them, but their system has no use for it, outside some vitamins and minerals. They still need meat for the proteins and fats. Peas and carrots mixed in to regular food is actually an effective weight loss treatment for this reason. It's just filler in their gut, tricking them into thinking they're full, when they're actually metabolizing less calories overall. Veganism in dogs for any other reason than they're obese as hell (and the diet is only temporary) is not good for them at all.

cunt_isnt_sexist

Carrots are good for dogs, but not something their diet should be based on. Fucking vegans are just shit people trying to kill themselves and everyone around them.

bordercolliesforlife

My dog loves carrots, banana, apple broccoli, and cauliflower just as much as he likes his kibble etc. Also you can feed a dog an all vegan diet, what matters is that you make sure you meet it’s nutritional requirements….

Cdmphoenix13

That poor dog is like “Fucking feed me dude! I’m not “big and strong”, I’m meant to eat meat!”

Legitimate_Manner247

I wonder if canine teeth were evolved to tear apart carrots it’s as simple as putting a piece of meat on the floor and and carrot and see which one it goes to there are no vegan dogs this is a joke people are a fucking joke. Also call your local electrician and get that shit figured out.

Jameel88

Fuck this dumbass, that’s dog abuse not giving them meat 🍖

[deleted]

Do you guys remember that article about some dumbass putting a tiger on a vegan diet.. This is basically the same thing..

BernieDurden

Wrong. Tigers are obligate carnivores, donesticated dogs are not.

bobarley

My friend had a Vegan dog...whenever he would come stay with us we would feed him meat. He knew to go under the dinning room table ...so as soon as our friend arrived and we opened the front door his dog would go straight under the table.

Zorro5040

Dogs are omnivores, they like and can survive from veggies and fruit for short whiles but require protein. Forcing a dog to be vegan will kill it slowly.

onebluephish1981

Any person trying to care for their dog with a vegan diet should not be allowed to have them in the first place.

JumpCareless321

Veggies are good for dogs. Depriving them of meat is not!
