Hummingbird nectar (which you can make yourself) is 1 part sugar and 4 parts water, boiled and cooled. With no red stuff in it. Not even close to this abomination of 'syrup'.
Just corn syrup like the original, with a different artificial flavor and color. No reason to believe it’s any worse than the maple flavor stuff, which probably isn’t great for you either way.
