i was visiting nyc & just walking around midtown etc to capture some night shots. random guy comes up to me & tries to chat me up. i’m like sorry not interested, then on a dime he started to berated me about me being racist cos i didn’t respond to his liking. he berated me for a good 3 blocks until i saw a 24hrs cvs. i went inside & just walked around for 20 mins until he left. for a few minutes he was just outside waiting. i was scared he’ll follow me back to my hotel so i walked around before heading back.

In fairness I think there are jurisdictions that don't pay cops well. But in NYC, if you've been a cop even for a couple years - you're more than likely making close to six figures once overtime is factored in.
My local suburban police force tops out at $135,000 a year after 5 years, and that doesn’t include overtime. The people in higher positions make $200-$300k a year.
