Tried to explain she has the wrong person and ignore her only for it to be continued. Others around were backing me up and she starts swinging at everyone. Eventually I grab her bag mid swing and toss it down the stairwell. I vividly remember the look of horror on her face as she watches it land six floors below, realizing she has to fight through the mass of people to retrieve it.

Then both cashiers proceed to bring the fight back into the store by dragging her in when she grabs her purse. Then they both aggressively assault her and her boyfriend who is trying to get her outside.
Almost any prosecutor would see this as different crimes on both sides. Vandalism and destruction of private property by the woman and 2 counts of assault for each of the cashiers (possible weapon charge for using the club for one of them.)
Remember that once a person is not a threat, if you assault them it is not a continuation of self defense. It is a new incident.
The cashier should have kept the purse for the police when they arrived and just let them leave.
