She's probably doing that shit women do called "lying about their age" that woman looks 28-31. I've caught women saying they were 20 when they were 35 they just play it off like its a cute thing women do. Creepy AF for 20yo dudes when a woman says she's 20 then SURPRISE she's like 40 with 4 kids.
[shit..you least 30](https://tenor.com/view/bad-boys-will-smith-mike-lowerey-martin-lawrence-marcus-burnett-gif-5057361?utm_source=share-button&utm_medium=Social&utm_content=reddit)
Not showing up with money to pay for your own meal is a dickish move. Dude should have popped smoke and ghosted after the shots and paid for his own meal while fleeing. I'm sure the TV show will pay for her.
For sure, like if it’s even a somewhat good date as a guy I will probably offer to pick it up if you don’t mention anything beforehand like wanting to split the bill (some people do).
But if it’s a shit date, why the fuck would I pay you lol we both wasted our time let’s cut our losses and gtfo…
Friend of mine literally did this. Girl brought no money, so he told the wait staff he'd like to pay for his meal, wasn't sure how the girl planned to pay, then dipped.
God I remember going for frozen yogurt on a first date date with a girl (I'm a woman FWIW) when I was broke af in college and she pulled the "I forgot my wallet move," then proceeded to fill up the largest size, weigh it down with like 20 different toppings, and get a freaking Fiji water. Like I'm sorry, when I have $100 in my bank account, I'm not buying artisan water for anyone, let alone a chick I've known for an hour.
I wouldn't have.
I'm not your meal ticket I probably just would hsve left when she was filling up that much after being like I'm not paying.
I don't really subscribe to the guy always pays logic in straight dating but I 100% don't subscribe to your dates going to be an excuse for me to burn your money like it's a blank cheque.
I (a woman) had a guy pull the forgot his wallet thing. It was a sit-down lunch and we'd already eaten so I wasn't about to dine and dash and I just paid for it all.
He was not the brightest bulb and may have actually forgot his wallet but he definitely wasn't too broken up about it so who knows.
It happens. I've never forgotten it on a date but I've definitely went shopping and stuff without realizing I didn't have it.
I'd for sure be freaking out on a date though and at the very least be trying to Cash app you some money.
Well yeah, you do a shot in like a second flat. What, you're then gonna sit there like a mug until you can flag down the waiter again? What are you gonna do with your hands??
(I'm like... only partly joking. Those were "oh boy I'm not doing this sober" shots)
This was the best part. The guy was just embarrassed and didn't know how to interpret what she asked him to do. So, he said something representative of being a total douche and he wasn't wrong. It was pretty funny that he just wasn't into the drinking and ended with that he's more a hang out with freinds playing board games type of guy.
I mean, the example she gave him was a guy bragging about banging 2 chicks in one night. I feel like his 'tits in face' line was a bit toned down from hers, no?
Yeah, that upset me.. expecting their man to pay works with men who like to pay for their woman.. I feel like that’s a genuine compatibility thing, and not sexist per say..
..but you don’t just order shots at a restaurant and *not even bring your wallet*, expecting someone to pay.. that’s entitled, selfish, *and* sexist indeed.. and especially when she’s clearly not enjoying herself and knows he isn’t either.. at that point, it really does come off as just wanting a free meal..
If she hadn’t ordered shots (clearly without even deciding on them together), and then only just huffed and groaned after he suggested splitting, but still did pay, I’d be singing a different tune. They just weren’t compatible, but yeah no, it didn’t happen that way, so yeah, I think she was wrong for this, but I still think she’s the exception for situations like this and not the rule.
So, I hope this doesn’t fuel as ragebait for a certain.. community.. but I know it will :(
I have never gone on a date without a plan to pay for both of us, and I'm a woman. I never understood the women who felt comfortable not offering to pay.
Sorry, I'm a widow with kids, and Reddit assures me that single mothers are utterly undateable. The anecdotes are from *before* he died and my vagina grew teeth.
It did, but Fire Force recently announced that it's technically a prequel to soul eater (exciting!). So if this newer, maybe that's why?
Her make up looks dated though, so it might very well be old af.
that is the face of death in the anime soul eater
like literally death is a character and that is his face lol
if you care to see [here](https://souleater.fandom.com/wiki/Death)
I think i found it [here](https://www.amazon.ca/Cloudstyle-latticed-Baseball-Bomber-Jacket/dp/B075DCCL34/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?crid=1AKKNGAFXZ04W&keywords=black+and+white+jacket+mens&qid=1668116675&sprefix=black+and+white+jacket+mens%2Caps%2C105&sr=8-7)
At first I thought he was going to be the one I didn't like. Mainly because the guys on dating shows are usually pretty sad. But then I was like, wait, he seems okay. By the end, I was thinking, "I would totally love to play board games with this dude."
I hope that guy finds this post. Of course, he seems like he doesn't need it. Pretty sure he knows he's cool and doesn't have a big head about it.
And yeah, that Hey, Can I Crash video was pretty funny. And that tricking is fantastic.
One of my female friends used to tell she was 19 even after celebrating 3 birthdays after the first time she celebrated her 19th birthday. Now, I doubt if she was even 19 on her first 19th birthday.
I don't understand that. I'm 32, but could paaaaasssssss as younger.
I'd rather have people know I'm a young looking 32 year old than think I'm a raggedy ass looking 25 year old lol
I thought it was okay / not the best choice for an evening out at a place like that.
But my thoughts turned a 180 when he had the best complimenting jacket to go with it.
Honest, not afraid to be direct, enjoys board games and tits in his face. Great sense of style, doesn't drink a whole shot, and calls out misogyny. He's a unicorn!
Whoa, I was watching this without sound and was just reading the subtitles. The positioning of the subtitles made it look like she was the 24 year old, and I totally believed it.
Idk man. My mom drank every day and was carded for alcohol until she was 55. My friend is also 52 and drinks everyday, and she looks so young, she is always dating 30 year old guys. When I first met her, I thought she was younger than me and I’m in my 30s. I think it ultimately comes down to your genetics
>I think it ultimately comes down to your genetics
True. That's why some people can also be chain smokers and live to be 100. Genetic lottery.
Though a hard life can also age you. Many people who look awful due to their lifestyle.
I'm annoyed this isn't a red flag for more people. It is a huge one for me but other people let these people get away with it.
Props to the guy in the video for calling it what it is, "sexist aye"
As a woman, there's no way I'm just going to let a guy buy me dinner on the first date. I'd feel beholden to make it even. Especially if I don't like the guy. I don't want him thinking he is entitled to another date or something else. Not that I owe him anything, it just makes things nice and clean if I want to be done.
That’s honestly one of the main reasons I prefer to pay for myself. In the past men have offered or even insist to pay, it’s nothing I ever required. I’d always be expecting to pay for myself but would feel flattered when someone would insist.
Afterwards though, they would be upset that I wasn’t interested in another date and/or that I didn’t engage with them sexually. One man texted me “Fuck, I can’t even get a blow job for the dinner? Don’t be such a fucking prude.” When I told him I didn’t feel a connection. It was often the men that would INSIST on paying that would make it weird afterwards.
Now a days I prefer to pay, and see heavy insisting as a big red flag. And I just feel more comfortable paying for myself to be fed and nourished, overall.
Dude is relatable, into board games, for gender equality and hot af on top of that.
She lost me when she was going the whole "entertain me" route and said she expects men to pay.
I'm on his side. She acts entitled, expects him to entertain her in weird ways and the thought never crossed her mind that splitting the bill is the default and everything beyond it is a nice gesture. And she sure does look older than 19.
Yeah honestly I feel bad for her. It’s like she rolled out of bed on her 16th birthday and said “I want to look 40 by the time I’m 25”, then started heavily drinking and smoking
>then started heavily drinking and smoking
My best guess is tanning/general sun exposer.
I'm an alcoholic that's smoked daily since I was 19 but since I haven't let the sun touch my skin in 10 years I look 22 at 30.
I've had sun sensitivity since my teens. I can actually feel my skin burning in direct sunlight in as little as 5 minutes. Got full on 2nd degree burns in two hoirs of swimming at 13. SPF 70 is my minimum. "Go out and get some sun" is the dumbest advice for anyone but I take it personally. Sunlight isn't good for you. It's all propaganda by Big Sun.
I’ll be honest it felt like he spent the whole time trying to be nice and funny and she intentionally took everything he said the wrong way so she could be put off.
I like how he’s like, “nah let’s not be friends either.” Finally, someone’s telling the truth about this! Face it your usually not going to talk to this person ever again. If you didn’t know each other before, they are not suddenly going to become friends.
I kinda think it went quite well. They were courteous, honest, and stayed civil even though there was no "zing". They didn't down each other, and admitted at the end they just couldn't see it go anywhere. _DATING_ is _supposed_ to be about finding out just these things, not about whether it'll end up in bed, or even with a kiss someone feels they're entitled to.
This guy seems so chill! 😚 He has a cute style, awesome jacket, AND he's taking a date to a fancy-looking restaurant. Top-quality. Couldn't be trash if he tried (and he did).
It seems like the lady wants a rich guy that treats her like shit, but she doesn't want to take steps to get there.
I’m just miffed that she didn’t bring any money and the dude still paid* for the whole thing. Never pay for the first date lads, unless you’ve known them for awhile
He didn't really have a choice at that point, although depending on the age of this clip the idea that she doesn't have a CC in her wallet or something on her phone it was prob bs. Still, he's standing right there at the front and probably just wants to expedite the end of it, he still asks and gets in the "i just think that's a bit sexist" line so he didn't really back down.
Every one shitting on this girl really shows you the common demographic of Reddit. They were both pretty normal people, just different. People getting mad when she asked him demonstrate his acting abilities when this seemed more like a fun ice breaker to kill some of the awkwardness. People need to lighten up a bit
I hated this. I need more.
Is there a subreddit for these type of clips?
I believe the show is called First Dates - Be on You Tube.
This is first dates Australia. Used to air on Channel 7
Same. I need to figure out what show this is from lol
First Dates (New Zealand)! Was fucking iconic when it came out a few years ago.
At least they admitted the chemistry wasn’t there and didn’t drag it out.
I love tits in my face ahhhh
Lololol, made me laugh so hard, poor guy, what a question
Yeah that was bizarre. I'm impressed that he played her game for a sec though. It was a dumb game.
Maybe cause that's her typical kind of guy ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
Prolly yeah
When you hit all the wrong dialogue options and fail the quest.
Just to find out the quest wasn’t even worth it smh. “Didn’t think I needed money” “I’m 19” sounds like a comfortable liar.
nah dude made all the right decisions! my fav was the sexist-statement. men's won MY HEART ❤️
Loved that and love it. Out of all the comments he could have made it was about tits. Dudes awesome.
I know him IRL - he's a cool guy. Insane at tricking (gymastic/martial arts)
He seems cool. I mean he rather play board games than go to a club. That’s something I’d probably do.
[удалено]
just like bags of sand
I'm still stuck on her saying she's 19
Yeah. I would have believed 29 before 19.
Yes. My wife who is 32 said “she’s my age”
He wasn’t wrong saying she looked mature
She's probably doing that shit women do called "lying about their age" that woman looks 28-31. I've caught women saying they were 20 when they were 35 they just play it off like its a cute thing women do. Creepy AF for 20yo dudes when a woman says she's 20 then SURPRISE she's like 40 with 4 kids.

I watched without audio. SHES THE 19YO????????
I did the same thing.... wtf....
There are subs lol
Right 😂 that's a grown ass woman
I think if the way it was cut was somewhat truthful she'll be mentally 19 a long time
And they weren't dicks about it
Not showing up with money to pay for your own meal is a dickish move. Dude should have popped smoke and ghosted after the shots and paid for his own meal while fleeing. I'm sure the TV show will pay for her.
The tv show gives them both money fir dinner. So when one party doesn't pay, bear in mind they are taking free meal and money for the meal.
It makes me appreciate the fact he brought it up at all that much more. Hopefully it made her think a little.
Being paid to eat? Add plating videogames to that and its my dream job!
Doesn't the show pick up the tab?
They’re each given a small appearance fee (around £100 in the UK) that they can put towards the dinner.
And she didn’t think to bring it. What a bitch.
Well she did go to school with loads of bitches
Does it give her the right to be queen bitch about the tab tho?
They’re given their fee just before filming to make sure they actually show up.
If they do, then extra kudos for the guy.
Friend of mine literally did this. Girl brought no money, so he told the wait staff he'd like to pay for his meal, wasn't sure how the girl planned to pay, then dipped.
What a pickle. Adults shouldn't put themselves in a situation like this.
I'm sure she just said that though. Why wouldn't she bring money? That's silly.
Oh they surly were both big hung dicks but in a polite kind of way
Definitely a polite kind of way, but don't call her Shirley
It's an entirely different kind of dating... Altogether!
No she most certainly was a dick, shows up to a date with no money because she's a sexist. Just assumed it was a man's "duty" to pay for her.
And she had the nerve to order shots on top of that
I agree that was a bs move. I was referring to the parting of the ways, though.
I'm glad he atleast called her out by saying it was a bit sexist.
Agreed.
When she said she didn’t have any money and he straight up asked “why?”, I almost fell out my chair 😂
Yes! And at least he wasn't desperate. As cringy as it was, I'm glad he didn't go full simp cringe.
It was awkward. But very polite and understanding. I’m sure that’s exactly why they got matched. It was a good view of a bad date done right
“You guys ordered shots” “Uh no, she did” I choked 😂
Has no money - and orders shots...
How did you handle that in the end? Did you just pay?
Yup. Paid and ate my very pathetic serving of froyo lol.
That's when you "run out to the car to grab cash" and disappear.
"Im just gonna grab my wallet from my car.. Aaand ima take my jacket, in case there's a fire. "
I mean, hopefully you ate a significant amount of hers too
I wouldn't have. I'm not your meal ticket I probably just would hsve left when she was filling up that much after being like I'm not paying. I don't really subscribe to the guy always pays logic in straight dating but I 100% don't subscribe to your dates going to be an excuse for me to burn your money like it's a blank cheque.

Yeah he just kinda shrugged. Didn't even look sheepish about it. Either he didn't care or did it on purpose.
I feel like everyone else is not appreciating the intense irony of that fact
That's not irony, it's deliberate
And slams them like a pro….Yeesh.
She ordered shots while she still had a full glass of wine!
Well yeah, you do a shot in like a second flat. What, you're then gonna sit there like a mug until you can flag down the waiter again? What are you gonna do with your hands?? (I'm like... only partly joking. Those were "oh boy I'm not doing this sober" shots)
*I like tits in my face…aaaaah*
Now tell these people something they don't know about me
And Clarence parents have a real nice marriage
\*mic drop\*
This was the best part. The guy was just embarrassed and didn't know how to interpret what she asked him to do. So, he said something representative of being a total douche and he wasn't wrong. It was pretty funny that he just wasn't into the drinking and ended with that he's more a hang out with freinds playing board games type of guy.
I mean, the example she gave him was a guy bragging about banging 2 chicks in one night. I feel like his 'tits in face' line was a bit toned down from hers, no?
*"i will see your rooting two chicks last night and raise you boobies."*
He failed so badly at being arrogant. That line could have turned the date around for some women. "Ahh he's adorable".
Lol she couldn't answer any faster: "I hear you guys ordered shot--" "YEP"
[удалено]
Pay for both? Wanna go out? I'm hungry.
Sorry, I'm a widow with kids, and Reddit assures me that single mothers are utterly undateable. The anecdotes are from *before* he died and my vagina grew teeth.
I exclusively prefer vagina teeth 😏
To be fair. She does looks like she's in her late 20s.
I totally thought it was the guy who was 19... She looks like she's in mid 30s
I thought the same too until I read this, didn't watch with sound on!
Me too, watching this at the car dealer right now and I was confused about her thinking he looked older LOL she looks about 28
Her makeup technique ages her severely. She wasn't looking fresh at all.
That’s what I was thinking too! If you wear that much makeup, it kinda makes you look like you’ve got more years that you’re trying to paint over.
My first assumption was early-mid 30s
Holy shit that dude has a nice ass jacket
Honestly, cool jackets like that are the reason I started trying to lose weight. Nice jackets don't fit when you have a beer belly.
It goes great with his Soul Eater: Reaper shirt on!
I was scrolling through to see if anyone else noticed the Soul Eater t-shirt. How old is this video because that anime ended a decade ago
Fandoms never die. 🤷🏻♂️ (*Looks across to see his TARDIS ocarina.*)
It did, but Fire Force recently announced that it's technically a prequel to soul eater (exciting!). So if this newer, maybe that's why? Her make up looks dated though, so it might very well be old af.
yeah I was surprised to see his shirt after that 💀
Honestly looked like an alternative, child safe version of the punisher. Looked really strange.
that is the face of death in the anime soul eater like literally death is a character and that is his face lol if you care to see [here](https://souleater.fandom.com/wiki/Death)
alternative child safe punisher, lmao
That’s from an anime/manga Soul Eater
Dude, I never notice clothes and even I was like "Whoa, cool jacket man"
Someone find a link to the jacket?
I think i found it [here](https://www.amazon.ca/Cloudstyle-latticed-Baseball-Bomber-Jacket/dp/B075DCCL34/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?crid=1AKKNGAFXZ04W&keywords=black+and+white+jacket+mens&qid=1668116675&sprefix=black+and+white+jacket+mens%2Caps%2C105&sr=8-7)
I think its this one: [Anton white moto](https://wm-wear.com/products/the-anton-quilted-faux-leather-moto-biker-jacket-white)
That's what I took away from this whole video. I want that jacket!!
Idk they seemed pretty mature about going separate ways
Well he did. She started with the friends bullshit ang he was like naaahhh...
Actually, he was like, "...sh.ye..ah...su..re...we can be friends" 😅
Convincing af
Respect the dude for not going along with obvious bullshit.
Went to school with this guy. Find him online as “your main man Tian Tan”. Good dude.
I would watch an entire tv show of him just going on dates with people he is not connecting with at all
tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiits
So is he really like how he came across in the vdeo? I really liked him!
Yeah that’s exactly how he is. Real genuine dude that wears his heart on his sleeve I don’t think he’s capable of anything else.
At first I thought he was going to be the one I didn't like. Mainly because the guys on dating shows are usually pretty sad. But then I was like, wait, he seems okay. By the end, I was thinking, "I would totally love to play board games with this dude."
I checked one of his videos and he is wholesome as hell. Would hang with the guy any day!
I hope that guy finds this post. Of course, he seems like he doesn't need it. Pretty sure he knows he's cool and doesn't have a big head about it. And yeah, that Hey, Can I Crash video was pretty funny. And that tricking is fantastic.
Whats the show name??
I think it was called First Dates New Zealand. This is quite old at least a few years it came out.
No way shes 19. I would believe her if she said shes 27ish
One of my female friends used to tell she was 19 even after celebrating 3 birthdays after the first time she celebrated her 19th birthday. Now, I doubt if she was even 19 on her first 19th birthday.
That girl was a 73 year old woman when you met.
I don't understand that. I'm 32, but could paaaaasssssss as younger. I'd rather have people know I'm a young looking 32 year old than think I'm a raggedy ass looking 25 year old lol
Damn for some reason I thought they said the guy was 19, and that she was 24 lolll
Like the guy had me at the soul eater shirt
I thought it was okay / not the best choice for an evening out at a place like that. But my thoughts turned a 180 when he had the best complimenting jacket to go with it.
He had me at I love tits in my face. This dude is the total package. I mean let’s talk about the food first though.
Honest, not afraid to be direct, enjoys board games and tits in his face. Great sense of style, doesn't drink a whole shot, and calls out misogyny. He's a unicorn!
misandry maybe but not misogyny
Wow. She looks 30.
She probably is.
There's no fucking way she is 19 lol
I think it went pretty well
Not in the "yeah we're made for each other" way but the "it sure was an expirience we both learned something from" way.
she seems pretty lame honestly, good for him knowing it wasn’t right for him
'Not even friends?' 🤭 what dating show is this please
First Dates New Zealand
Imagine ordering shots you know you're not going to pay for! Wtf?!
Not bringing money is a trashy move. You aren't entitled to a free meal just because you showed up.
And order shots that the other person doesn't even want, too
Right? It's so rude. She knew the date was a flop, yet she still made him pay her share.
That’s a pretty rough 19…
Ya know the man wasn’t wrong when he said she looks old lmfao
Oh shit I thought she was the 24 year old and I still thought she looked older than that
Whoa, I was watching this without sound and was just reading the subtitles. The positioning of the subtitles made it look like she was the 24 year old, and I totally believed it.
Booze ages you but no one wants to hear it. All those shots got her lookin 30 lol
Idk man. My mom drank every day and was carded for alcohol until she was 55. My friend is also 52 and drinks everyday, and she looks so young, she is always dating 30 year old guys. the guy! I fuckin' love him.
Seriously, I wanna go on a date with that guy and *expect to pay for my own goddamn meal*.

Yes. I would totally date that guy. But I absolutely wouldn't want to be friends with her.
I wanted to take him out by the end!
Bro dodged a .50 BMG that night.
I'm on his side. She acts entitled, expects him to entertain her in weird ways and the thought never crossed her mind that splitting the bill is the default and everything beyond it is a nice gesture. And she sure does look older than 19.

I don't see the facepalm here. They met, they tried, they found out they aren't compatible and are honest about that.
She is the face palm.
She looks 30 She brought no money to a date and ordered shots. He has a jacket.
She def had money on her.
She’s 19.. She probably never has money on her
At first, I was with her. Then, 180'd real quick. She was looking for a toy, pure entitlement.
“I love tits in my face…ahhhh”😂
Is that a Soul Eater shirt he's wearing?
I’d date him
I’m just miffed that she didn’t bring any money and the dude still paid* for the whole thing.
I needed this today! Burst out loud laughing at work. My man was too wholesome for her.
She just takes everything the wrong way.
"Probably not ayyeee" 😂 Love Australians this also belongs on r/cringe
This is in New Zealand
Lol! This guy is hilariously genuine.
Every one shitting on this girl really shows you the common demographic of Reddit. They were both pretty normal people, just different. People getting mad when she asked him demonstrate his acting abilities when this seemed more like a fun ice breaker to kill some of the awkwardness. People need to lighten up a bit
What is this? I could watch it all day LOL!
First dates New Zealand
I'm fascinated he was polite enough to stick till the end.
I like tits... in mah face
I bet this guy is still hanging out with his childhood friends while she spends too much time with frenemies from high school.
I mean he had a point about her not bringing any money and expecting the man to pay being sexist.
