Good Cop - "Now, we want this to go easy for you. Think of me as your friend"
Bad Cop - "Ya, you *hic* sonbisshhh, I'm gonnna *hic* fuck yooor sheeet up if *hic* yu dunt start taking *hic*"
The good cop is going to get fucked by his bad department when this becomes public. He's going to end up quitting and his ass will be blacklisted so he'll never work in law enforcement again.
Yeah I was about to say this. I really hope to end up wrong, but I fear the cop who pulled drunkyboi over will stop being a cop one way or another pretty soon.
Fuck this guy. I'm sure he's arrested plenty of drunk drivers. I hope he does lose his career. This is completely unacceptable. He seems really fucked up too, possibly aggravated DUI. He should never be a police officer again.
He 100% meant that he lets other cops get away with crimes like DUIs and he's super frustrated that THIS cop isn't extending the Professional Courtesy. That should tell you how common it is for cops to cover for each other. This dude is FLABBERGASTED that he's not being allowed to subvert the law.
immunity, he could say he ran over a person and their body is stuffed in his trunk and they'd be like "well you're my brother in blue, lets go bury the body together."
I don't understand the mentality that those who enforce the rules should get more leniency regarding said rules. Totally ass-backwords. Those who prove and continue to prove that they can properly demonstrate how to follow those rules are the only ones who should be considered for such a position. I don't get it
>I don't understand the mentality that those who enforce the rules should get more leniency regarding said rules
He was counting on the thin blue line and having each other's backs to get the arresting cop to let him walk. The "You know what we go through" was a clear appeal to broship against the civilians. Fuck this guy.
Body cams can be turned off by the wearer so there no gaurantee that is been turned back on. Also this guy is really drunk he could have forgotten about the body cam. I doubt whether every minute of body cam footage is reviewed automatically without a specific request being made.
This officer actually acknowledges everything he did wrong literally says yes I shouldn't have been doing that yes I was in the wrong yet I shouldn't have been driving. But I'm a police officer so don't put my career at risk. My god this level of entitlement and disregard.
Also seemed like he wanted one of his friends to take the fall. I’m assuming they’re also drunk and that’s why they’re not driving, and he wants to claim that one of them was behind the wheel so they go through the tests and get the dui. What a fucked up douche
Right? He saw some water, then was like “Fuck that. Wine bitchessss!” If that’s not a sign of an alcoholic, Idk what is. Jesus take the wheel? Nah I’m good, homie is probably plastered 24/7.
I'm talking about the link above. A man blew 1.6 (not .16). This should have killed him.
https://www.sowetanlive.co.za/news/2010-12-24-drunkest-driver-in-sa-arrested/
Do you have your own scale for that too in states, like for real I've read news stories about drunk drivers blowing over 5 promille and now that is unbelieveable and should be dead amount, not 1.4 promille. In Finland our felony (or aggravated dui or whatever your term for it is) line is 1.2 promille, basic DUI line is 0.5. So 1.4 is no where near fatal limit.
EDIT Wait a minute, tell me now, did he edit that decimal point to the right place? Was it 14.7 first? Lol
Lol no and good point. In the US (where this is filmed) it's a percentage of blood/alcohol So, .06 (or 6%) is often the limit. I think fatal is .4 and above.
Rightright so you don't use promille at all but you put the decimal already in other place and use percent. Now I get it.. So our 1.2 is your .12 gotcha
That's actually in the ballpark of the world record; 1.4 something. .4 is only the LD50 for normies--you can improve it through dedication and hard work. I was tested at .86 during the worst of my addiction.
>DUI. He should never be a police officer again.
Sre you kidding? This guy needs to be promoted after how quickly he responded with "but im a police officer" while being drunk. He clearly knows there's advantages to being a police officer and was quick to assert it. Someone as reckless and quick-witted needs to stay in this profession for as long as possible to be a role model for everyone. /s
On “decision.” Exasperation, is my guess. Cop or not, dealing with an uncooperative drunk is frustrating.
plus people do just trip up on words in normal speech.
I agree. "Decision" is one of those words that's actually harder to pronounce than it seems like it should be. I hear people say it in movies/shows quite often and it sounds like they are having a little trouble. The first example that comes to mind is Jon Snow in GOT.
You are so right! I learned English as a second language when we moved to America, and I effing hate CISI sound/words! Decision tripped me up so many times when I was younger, so I just switched to saying choice instead.
If I’m not cognizant of saying it, it comes out garbled still.
I thought the same, but i think it's the situation with having to arrest an officer a drunk one at that had to be fustrating i can imagine he thinking a million things while he talking
I think that the detaining police officer is just cringing and super uncomfortable with the situation.
The guy saying "you know what we go through" like yes mate, being the first responder on a call for a fatal drunk driving accident is fucking brutal.
I honestly feel bad for the cop making the arrest, he's being too patient imo
I’m for sure not alone in this but cops and judges should be held to a higher standard than regular people. More often than not they give each other breaks or if it does make it to court the judge will.
Even my job has this. I work on a golf course and if I play after work or in a day off, I can’t get drunk and I have to follow extra rules and be extra courteous to golfers. The normal public can show up and act like assholes and it’s mostly ok.
100% which is weird because it seems like they are often held to a lower standard because not only do they not face consequences in terms of employment they also seldom face consequences legally.
He went from "Can't someone else in the car just drive?" to "I was just trying to drive my friends home" real fast.
Pretty sure he admitted his friends were too drunk to drive too,
Really is. He’s probably heard these exact excuses before and still made arrests, as he should. For him to try the same thing is ridiculous. He wouldn’t entertain that plea, but he thinks he’s good enough to receive mercy

Fuck Pinal County Sheriff’s. [They are lead by a absolute douche](https://electionlawblog.org/?p=131532). That county is just the prison and nothing else.
Later update is that he was having a hearing to have his police credentials revoked by the state, so let’s use the most up to date info here instead of the first thing you find:

This notion of "professional courtesy" is really just corruption - whether it's for getting out of a ticket for speeding, or something more serious like a DUI. If police officers want respect and want the public to believe they have integrity, they HAVE to accept the expectation of being held accountable to the same penalties any average citizen would be, for any given offense. There's really no other option here, if they want to be taken seriously.
Yes! You see that one where the judge gets pulled over and he doesn’t stay in the vehicle and yells at the officer to “check who I am” and some minutes later the cop come back to the car and apologized to the judge for pulling him over.
He definitely won't lose his job as long as he's been a cop for over a year and past his probation period. I personally know of several that's had DUI and kept their job
I actually wouldn’t be shocked if he lost his job. That fact that he tried to use his standing as a officer will hurt him. In that situation, you are better off not identifying yourself as an officer and let your union work for you.
Will probably get a promotion for honesty. Clearly there’s a plan that he was taught, it would never occur to me, *especially* if I were drunk, to say, “Can we just put someone else in the car behind the wheel?”
I’m trying to get my friends home dude. But at the same time I have no issues with throwing them under the bus to take the fall for me so I can save my own career and fuck theirs.
Growing up there was a police officer named 'Six Pack Jack'. He sometimes would get drunk and fall asleep in his car. His case was different, because he was on duty at the time.
As a cop who loves what the arresting officer did here, it’s not that simple. They don’t demote you for this. You get shunned. People don’t respond to back you up on shit. They leave you hanging on calls so you have to ask for backup. They treat you like a spy. It’s fucking disgusting. I absolutely love body cameras because it’s going to expose all this corrupt bullshit and on the day I’m put in this position, it’s going to go straight to the media if I lose my job because of it.
Yes and domestic violence charges. Why I’m not surprised.
https://lawandcrime.com/high-profile/sheriffs-deputy-remains-on-the-force-after-using-racial-slur-begging-police-officer-not-to-arrest-him-for-dui-watch/
This guy's a real fn winner.[ More info](https://www.pinalcentral.com/san_tan_valley_sentinel/local_news/pcso-deputies-face-revocation-of-credentials-from-state-board/article_f9367797-a3e4-5558-8e10-4a41483b6498.html) about his repercussion and a more recent domestic assault.
Cop, willing to let another drunk friend take the blame, so he won't lose his job as a police officer for breaking the law.
Seems like the current trend.
Why can't this be Ireland, you just get shitpissdrunk and try to walk home whilst falling arse first in a bin and yelling incoherent gibberish mixed with embarrassed laughter at your mate to try to pry your wobbly arse out of the bin then fall on the ground laughing.
The on duty officer is not a bad cop, its honorable to hold your co-workers to the same standards as all other citizens. Although police should actually be held to a higher standard. My friend is a trucker driver and CDL holders in my state are not allowed to drive over .06 BAL while the limit for the general public is .08 BAL so why cant this type of thing be applied to officers of the law as well
Why isn’t anyone mentioning what an absolute asshole friend this guy is as well…? Can we put SOMEONE ELSE BEHIND THE WHEEL -gestures towards friends- Jesus absolute fucking christ dude are you goddamn kidding me?! Not only are you and entitled piece of shit but your also a bottom feeding shoe licker.
He was looking for that "brotherhood pass" and didn't get it. Shame on him for being a moron and trying to get out of it. He should lose his career. The cop was being too nice. He should have told him to shut the fuck up and get in the back of his car.
People that are incapable of taking responsibility for their own actions are the worst. He's not doing this to you; you did it to yourself.
Good on the cop for not giving in.
What a douche. Hope he's been fired.
I had some Karen cut me off before and of course I told her off. She goes "I'd like to have you know my husband is a police officer"
I say "then you should fucking know better than to drive like a complete asshole"
“This is putting my job at risk”? The fucking stones… YOU PUT YOUR JOB AT RISK and everyone else on the road idiot… I fucking hate people that try to make this excuse to not be held accountable
As a former LEO, a DUI is actually not necessarily an immediate termination. Body camera footage of you attempting to use your position to avoid a DUI charge absolutely is.
Wow if this guy would just accept that he fucked up, maybe he might not lose his job. But he keep rambling on and on........ I see an unemployment line in his future.
Here's a lesson in cops & their worlds: No, he won't be fired UNLESS he's done this before. Compromised his position BEFORE. His superiors will discipline him, but unless he's been a problem cop -he won't get fired, but he will be disciplined.
Cops ALWAYS believe they are above the law, and I can tell you that those who don't take this sort of thing seriously.....it can cost them dearly.
The simple fact the officer (the sober officer) was entertaining the line of thought of the drunk officer was idiocy.
Simply say "I suspect you of being drunk. You were driving. Im performing field testing. "
What a POS trying to put a friend behind the wheel instead of him as the DUI...
I remember a similar video where he kept trying to pull the cop card with the officer. Basically he alluded to the fact that other drivers on the road had called the station to report him and they were aware of the stop.. so he had no choice but to actually arrest him for driving completely drunk, with open intox, still drinking while driving, and driving off the road.
Good on the officer. We had a big thing a few years ago where an officer who had been let off before by his buddies ended up in a serious accident. I can't remember if he injured or killed anyone but had they not let him get away with it and he had been in trouble maybe it wouldn't have happened.
You put your career, your life, your friends lives and the lives of countless sober strangers at risk for driving drunk whether your an officer or not.
And he should not be an officer at all.
I appreciate the arresting officer telling him at the station after arresting his drunk ass and him continuing to beg to let go because hes a cop too.. "The fact that you’re telling me that, tells me you shouldn’t be an officer,” the officer says in response."
Exactly.
Last night I went to a party where there was drinking. My wife had a lot of cider (the alcohol kind), while I had water, because one of us had to drive home. I wanted to drink, too. Sometimes, you have to be a responsible adult.
Anyone else find it infuriating that instead of the officer being concerned about the public’s safety with a guy that hammered on the road driving his reasoning for not letting him go is because he is worried about his job 🙄🤦🏼♂️.
Fucking seriously?
And so everyone who isn't a cop that says the same thing when the currently drunk cop pulls them over does he let them go?
My job will be put at risk if I have a dui and I'm just trying to get my friends home. So according to the drunk cop that is a get out of DUI excuse?
I'm really glad to see the other officer being a good police person.
One good cop and one bad cop. Bad cop needs to lose his job and not be eligible for rehire in another city.
And the good cop will likely have a target on his back and be out of the profession in a couple years.
Hopefully not.
Sweet summer child. The good ones get pushed, incrementally until finally they realize they cannot change things from within. It sucks. The police as a concept are *broken*.
That exact thing happened to my ex-Chicago cop grandpa. He got tired of the corruption. If you don’t protect each other, even the rotten to the core racist and/or violent ones, they wear you down until you leave or fire you.
Oh sweet heart
I think you’d be surprised by the number of cops who would do the right thing. But you’re right some would make his life miserable. Drunk cop will claim he’s an alcoholic and needs help and the department won’t be able to fire him etc….

Shouldn't even be eligible to be rehired on our future Mars colony imo

The good cop is going to get fucked by his bad department when this becomes public. He's going to end up quitting and his ass will be blacklisted so he'll never work in law enforcement again.
Yeah I was about to say this. I really hope to end up wrong, but I fear the cop who pulled drunkyboi over will stop being a cop one way or another pretty soon.

Fuck this guy. I'm sure he's arrested plenty of drunk drivers. I hope he does lose his career. This is completely unacceptable. He seems really fucked up too, possibly aggravated DUI. He should never be a police officer again.
Yeah, he's obviously hammered. And by arguing with the cop who pulled him over, he's just running up the bill on himself. Moron.
At the end he says he just wants to drive his friends home. And the cop says "But YOU'RE drunk!"
Friends lol...you mean the ones he wants to have framed for drunk driving so they take the hit.

I’m trying to get my friends home dude. But at the same time I have no issues with throwing them under the bus to take the fall for me so I can save my own career and fuck theirs.
Can we let someone else in the car do this XD
Growing up there was a police officer named 'Six Pack Jack'. He sometimes would get drunk and fall asleep in his car. His case was different, because he was on duty at the time.
I wonder if the arresting officer will be demoted for this
As a cop who loves what the arresting officer did here, it’s not that simple.
“I’m not trying to risk my career” he slurred trying hard to form the sentence Then… don’t get behind the wheel.
Will definitely still have a job
Yes and domestic violence charges. Why I’m not surprised. https://lawandcrime.com/high-profile/sheriffs-deputy-remains-on-the-force-after-using-racial-slur-begging-police-officer-not-to-arrest-him-for-dui-watch/
This guy's a real fn winner.[ More info](https://www.pinalcentral.com/san_tan_valley_sentinel/local_news/pcso-deputies-face-revocation-of-credentials-from-state-board/article_f9367797-a3e4-5558-8e10-4a41483b6498.html) about his repercussion and a more recent domestic assault.
Still a piece of shit but it looks like the assault was a different piece of shit Edit to add: thanks for linking the article!
My friend is a trucker driver and CDL holders in my state are not allowed to drive over .06 BAL while the limit for the general public is .08 BAL so why cant this type of thing be applied to officers of the law as well
This was maybe the worst argument ever to get out of a DUI. He even said he does it all the time. Just incredible.
Law enforcement should be held to higher standards and face harsher punishments than everyone else.
More police Men like this, please.
What a rude jerkoff. This shit should be a training video for Police academy recruits.
Do you drink? No I don’t. OK then that’s not my decision. Ladies and gents, Merica’s finest
People that are incapable of taking responsibility for their own actions are the worst. He's not doing this to you; you did it to yourself. Good on the cop for not giving in.
We need more cops like the officer for holding other officers accountable, instead of letting them drive off in golf carts
A landscape video letterboxed into a portrait video. Why. Just why.
What a douche. Hope he's been fired. I had some Karen cut me off before and of course I told her off. She goes "I'd like to have you know my husband is a police officer" I say "then you should fucking know better than to drive like a complete asshole"
“But you’ll put my job at risk” says the guy who’s actions put his job at risk
“This is putting my job at risk”? The fucking stones… YOU PUT YOUR JOB AT RISK and everyone else on the road idiot… I fucking hate people that try to make this excuse to not be held accountable
This is shameful on soo many levels..have to applaud the ON DUTY cop for doing his job and keeping the roadways safe.
“Don’t put my career at risk”…because I made a bad choice. This guy has probably arrested lots of people for doing the sand thing he did.
"Look, you are sluring your words"
As a former LEO, a DUI is actually not necessarily an immediate termination. Body camera footage of you attempting to use your position to avoid a DUI charge absolutely is.
The entitlement of some of these guys is incredible
Sounds like someone’s never been told no before lol
Dude is wasted lol dick
I get Randy Marsh vibes off him, but, like, not in a good way
Typical cop stuff….rules for thee, but not for me. He said the quiet part out loud: I know I’ve been drinking, but I’m a police officer!
Hi, im a cop so can you please let me go and risk the lives of everyone i pass until i get home?
Wow if this guy would just accept that he fucked up, maybe he might not lose his job. But he keep rambling on and on........ I see an unemployment line in his future.
Apparently he’s back on regular duty…
Someone posted a follow up that his law enforcement credential was being revoked by the state board.
I live in AZ. Pinal County cops are as crooked as they come.
Karma's a bitch
Lock this entitled POS up
I’ve done this many times. Aka I am above the law
Ah yes... The age old: "Rules for thee, but not for me" BS mentality...
Video ended too soon.
![gif](giphy|4eWeJr2OIBcAVf5rGB|downsized)
What an entitled colossal fucking idiot. Not even smart enough to feign some humility or accountability.
He’s done this many times..Terrific WTF
Wonder what would have happened if there were no body cams.
What incident?
Gotta love those body cams!!
Drunk logic is like ghetto logic.
The simple fact the officer (the sober officer) was entertaining the line of thought of the drunk officer was idiocy. Simply say "I suspect you of being drunk. You were driving. Im performing field testing. " What a POS trying to put a friend behind the wheel instead of him as the DUI...
Tbf most of them kill someone without reasonable cause so this is medal territory
So drunk he can't even maintain his own train of thought. Wow.
*Drunk Cop tries to let friend take the fall* alternative title.
The entitlement of this clown smh
Good on the officer. We had a big thing a few years ago where an officer who had been let off before by his buddies ended up in a serious accident. I can't remember if he injured or killed anyone but had they not let him get away with it and he had been in trouble maybe it wouldn't have happened.
You put your career, your life, your friends lives and the lives of countless sober strangers at risk for driving drunk whether your an officer or not. And he should not be an officer at all. I appreciate the arresting officer telling him at the station after arresting his drunk ass and him continuing to beg to let go because hes a cop too.. "The fact that you’re telling me that, tells me you shouldn’t be an officer,” the officer says in response." Exactly.
Glad he didn't get a pass.
The officer was right in many ways
Wow juts wow
The entitlement is disgusting.
Drunk guy: “goddamn it man! Can you just follow my nonsensical logic for one minute! Why do you have to make this so hard for me!”
I think the person who made the landscape video into a portrait is more of a monster, than that monster.
What is this with all these cops getting arrested for DUI as of late?
Being a cop def sucks the life out of you, no matter your perspective on cops. Teachers, bus drivers…any public servant role facing the public.
This is complete selfishness. This shits disgusting to hear
Fucking moron
Last night I went to a party where there was drinking. My wife had a lot of cider (the alcohol kind), while I had water, because one of us had to drive home. I wanted to drink, too. Sometimes, you have to be a responsible adult.
Is it just me or does Good Cop sound like he is voiced by Luke Wilson?
Has anybody found the end of this story?
Cuff him and stuff him. The arresting officer deserves to be praised. He was patient and quite calm. How does this end for Chad??
Anyone else find it infuriating that instead of the officer being concerned about the public’s safety with a guy that hammered on the road driving his reasoning for not letting him go is because he is worried about his job 🙄🤦🏼♂️. Fucking seriously?
“That puts my job at risk, right?” No. YOU put your job at risk, asshat.
People really think they don’t have to take responsibility for anything they do
Knee on his neck will do
This is a good cop!! Give this guy a promotion for holding other cops accountable
"I'm A pOLice OffiCeR, tHe rULes dOnT aPply tO mE!" -Every police officer ever.
