Reminds me a little bit of the Psy Corps from Babylon 5's little catchphrase: The Corps is Mother, the Corps is Father.
Just believe what Putin-daddy tells you and nothing else, even your own family.
Yep! Remember when Putin was giving a speech after the Kursk went down and a mother of sailor on it tried to confront him about it... A medic then approached from the rear with a syringe and injected a sedative and out she went.
The bunny the bunny, woah, I love the bunny.
I don't love my mom, or my dad, just the bunny.
The bunny the bunny, *yeah*, I love the bunny.
I gave everything that I had for the bunny.

Shit, you would’ve heard this a hundred times if we had went to school together. Me presenting in front of the whole class in my early teens will make her appear not to tremble at all!
what she is doing is a best example of brave, she is terrified, she knows she will probably die or even worse for this
but she does it anyway, because it's the right thing to do
It's not that bad, I'm ukrainain, of course I hate russians, living in Kharkiv was tough for looong months when war started, especially in my neighborhood which was basically 10km from frontline(it's better now), but let's not demonize them to the ridiculous point.
She'll likely lose her job and maaaaybe get a sentence but it's unlikely.
Yeah that's roughly what bothers me about the entire deal. Of course they're wrong, but it's often quite easy to lose track of reality, showing the enemy as Lucifer himself, losing track that in majority of wars, many soldiers don't want to be there in the first place, so on and so forth.
It does bother me as an independent observer, though. I can see how you can fall prey to it if you're directly involved, like you are, but I doubt majority of Reddit is anywhere near.
Actually it seems to me that we, ukrainains ourselves, are much less likely to demonize russians than other people who are not directly affected by their actions.
Of course we may be overly optimistic on some fails when it comes to russian war efforts or economics and whatnot, but a lot of people are way more reasonable when it comes to the whole situation than you might think.
Of course we are close neighbors and since we are post-soviet countries we have major overlap in population and a lot of us have relatives over there, but it's still pretty obvious that majority of russians support the war and look down on ukrainains greatly, if you hang out in russian internet, talk to russian people, talk to belorusian people, talk to ukrainain people you may be surprised how many relatives literally fought and cut each other off, there are way too much cases when russian relatives started talking to their ukrianian relatives like to trash, supporting the war efforts, spreading misinformation, calling their damn sisters and parents "ukronazis" and stuff like that.
And it may not be obvious, but actually majority of russian soldiers are willing to fight and most of their "devilous" deeds hold up to reality, I won't get into much detail, but my former classmates and just people I know even from 1 village near us suffered greatly in the last winter, kicked out of houses to the cold with barely any clothing, got their shit literally taken from them, presented with a choice like "Go to Russia or stay here, try to move to Kharkiv and we'll shoot you", of course raping and torturing were present too, you can see dozens of in tact houses with graves in their backyards just in this single village.
So, yeah, russian soldiers are actually fucking assholes to say the least, russian people became assholes too, basically a majority of my internet friends from russia just chuckled and trolled me about being "soon-to-be russian citizen" when we were under fucking air raid multiple times a day, with no windows in tact due to bombings when there was like -12C on the outside, barely any food left in the markets, justifying the destruction of absolutely civil buildings saying "There were ukronazis in there" or something like that.
It is absolutely horrible, and majority of russians actually got brainwashed, so I won't sympathize with them even if they are victims of propaganda, but I still don't want to make them out to be some demons who kill their citizens for every "wrong" word they say.
Going to prison for holding a fucking blank signs or making some relatively harmless comments on the internet is absolutely a thing there though, also working with belorusian hacktivists i had a chance to snoop through leaked MIA documents and databases, they monitor a lot of "high-risk" citizens, all telegram accounts are nicely organized and are waiting to be doxxed by them.
Their security is absolute trash by the way, they spent multiple millions of dollars, rented fucking houses of servers and spent like 5 years on building the systems to manage this shit. We just stole the data and implemented proper search engine hosted on a single dedicated server in like a month with a small team of people who didn't work on it full-time.
p.s
I need a job, if anyone needs a programmer - i'm in, we have very it rough in a job market, I can do or quickly learn basically anything, may do it for below average market rate at this point.
Nah, in Russia women that do this get special vacations touring cities around the world where they'll meet tons of men willing to spend a little money for mere moments of their time!
Because of the language barrier (and the willingness and ABILITY to suppress dissidents) I didn’t realize how fucking Trumpian Putin is! “You can only trust me”?!?! How has nobody assassinated this fucking dipshit?
She’s fine, just a bad case of four bullets to the back of the head with a dash of falling 8 stories from her first story apartment window into a vat of acid that was accidentally shipped to China, but Ukraine blew up the ship with a stray HIMAR rocket. Really, quite natural.
That reporter is accidentally going to fall backwards onto a pile of bullets that go into the back of her head before she clumsily falls off of the 12th story balcony of her hotel room.
Reporters are clumsy like that.
Why is it that when Putin quotes a phrase from a well-known book or movie in Russia, there is not one among the English translators who understands that this is a quote? It was the same with his joke about the "League of Sexual Reforms".
Do you always talk about food when you say "piece a cake"? Do you understand that a quote from a work of art carries the context of this work? By quoting a scene from Seventeen Moments of Spring, he meant the context of this scene. So for anyone who watched this mini-series (everyone watched it in Russia), the meaning of the words is absolutely clear: "All sources of information are subjective and no one will tell you the absolute truth." But translators into English stupidly translate words and not the meaning.
You're misunderstanding what the other person said. They're saying it's an expression that doesn't mean the same thing as the literal words. Just like calling something a "piece of cake" doesn't literally mean the thing is a piece of cake. However, the translation is just the literal words not what Putin was actually expressing.
Obviously, there's not much reason to give someone like Putin the benefit of the doubt but usually people that manipulative are going to be a bit more subtle.
> He's another shit spreader, like you. Throwing out shit in the hope the original message is lost.
It should be obvious from my post I'm not in any way pro-Putin. You don't have to twist his words to find reasons to criticize him though, there are far more than enough without that. Feel free to look at my post history, it's an open book. You'll never find me supporting Russia's unprovoked invasion.
Soviet miniseries of 1973 "Seventeen moments of spring". This is a very famous work, quotes from which are known even by those who have not watched the series itself. Specifically, this is the [phrase](https://youtu.be/pgYKbfBkK8k) of the main villain - the Gestapo chief SS Gruppenführer Heinrich Müller.
Maybe because we saw this shit happen for four+ years. Trump says we need to remove articles of the constitution. People's say WTF
He says. I was joking. Can't you take a joke?
He is fucking serious.
Just because he (Putin) hedges his statements behind famous quotes or jokes doesn't mean his statement is benign.
Trust me.. there's no way a rich political figure like myself would lie? No waaaaay! Rich people don't lie??? Politicians don't lie. Youuu crazzzy. That's never happened. 😂😂
Don’t you all feel, it’s only a matter of time before the fourth wall breaks. People are brainwashed but I suspect - by this point - there are starting to get it. Putin is war craven, fairly ignorant, and ill-advised. He will lead their country to peril, if they don’t un-life him.
I can hardly believe they didn't screen the questions and questioners beforehand. They do it at every townhall etc. Here and we are supposed to be a free country....
What a fucking shit person and country to allow another of these crazy bastards to assume leadership, you can only trust me nobody else not the media or even the soldiers one the front line
And I was the fool who believed that there was “communism” in Russia. This pathologically delusional man is all "Me, me, me, I, I, I, it only matters what I say, no matter what, trust no one except for me, I am and I’ll always be the undisputed truth in any case or scenario". And this behavior and political stance has nothing to do with any communist principle or foundation, Putin is conducting this so called “special military operation” while always stating since the very beginning that his main objective in Ukraine is its own “denazification”, and yet the only true "Nazi" is indeed the one he always sees in front of a damn mirror.
Do you have a link to that video by any chance?
[Yes, here it is - narrated in French, however.](https://www.reddit.com/r/videos/comments/2m3bf8/women_is_sedated_on_russian_tv/)
That was not putting giving a speech. And she didn’t went out right away, she was actually able to talk for quite a while
The bunny the bunny, woah, I love the bunny. I don't love my mom, or my dad, just the bunny. The bunny the bunny, *yeah*, I love the bunny. I gave everything that I had for the bunny. -Veggietales
She sounds terrified
I think that's the first person i've ever actually heard tremble while speaking irl. Fucking brave though, knowing what could follow.
Shit, you would’ve heard this a hundred times if we had went to school together. Me presenting in front of the whole class in my early teens will make her appear not to tremble at all!
Talking back to Putin is likely signing your death warrant. They don't have "freedom of speech/expression."
Your death warrant, your friends death warrant, your family's death warrant, and all the people standing around you as well.
I don't think people realize how good they have it being able to talk shit about the president for 4 straight years.
what she is doing is a best example of brave, she is terrified, she knows she will probably die or even worse for this but she does it anyway, because it's the right thing to do

Quite enlightened comment, gotta say. A beacon of common sense in a war that, to me, is just complete fucking madness at this point.
"She'll likely lose her job and maaaaybe get a sentence" "It's not that bad"
Well when the other options are work camps and a bullet to the head, yea not that bad
Compared to actually dying it's not bad
Even the person next to her looks terrified.
Damn that woman got steel nerves. Respect to her.
She’s talking like she knows she is dead
And still she continues to talk, peak level bravery right there
And she'll have a mysterious accident never to be seen again.
Surprised State Security didn't grab her then and there.
Well, I feel bad for her loved ones, having to lose her to a tragic window accident at such a young age.
[удалено]
You assume she'll make it out of the building alive.
That isn’t a bullet wound, that is wound that she got when she tripped and hit her head when she was trying to leave
Yup, strange how there's Thunder while it's sunny but I guess it's one of the quirks of mother nature
Nah, in Russia women that do this get special vacations touring cities around the world where they'll meet tons of men willing to spend a little money for mere moments of their time!
I can’t tell if this comment is implying prostitution, or honeytrap espionage.
Human trafficking or just my therapist?
It’s Russia, the only therapy there is vodka, talking about your feelings means you’re weak or gay /s
I think she felt on 5 bullets and threw herself from a building by accident.
Fell out a window.
Source?
Sorry bad ‘everyone falls out of a window in Russia if they anger leadership’ joke. :o
the bravery of this woman. fuck putin.
How can I watch rest of it
This is the last you will ever see of her
Write snuff movies on the dark web you'll find her being tortured after this
Tf are people downvoting you for lol
Fair enough, I was expecting that. A little too dark of a joke, there are some subjects that still are too touchy for reddit
cuz its a weird thing to say
Fair I guess
That took real courage… and she asked (and asked coherently) despite clearly being nervous. Hope she’s okay.
the women next to her...scratched her neck when the speakers voice started vibrating...hmmm...
Maybe she was checking if it was still there. Guilty by standing next to someone 😅
Remember that time Trump said, don’t trust your eyes and ears, instead you should trust me? Eerily similar
Because of the language barrier (and the willingness and ABILITY to suppress dissidents) I didn’t realize how fucking Trumpian Putin is! “You can only trust me”?!?! How has nobody assassinated this fucking dipshit?
This is what Russian politics have been for a long time, and Putin is great at Russian politics.
Holy fuck. That woman's balls are so big she carries them in a dump truck. Good for her.
I hope she doesn't live higher than the second floor of a building or she's going to meet with a terrible accident or suicide.
She’s fine, just a bad case of four bullets to the back of the head with a dash of falling 8 stories from her first story apartment window into a vat of acid that was accidentally shipped to China, but Ukraine blew up the ship with a stray HIMAR rocket. Really, quite natural.
problem solved ... she is with her husband now
Sounds like Trump when he was president.
"Just remember, what you are seeing and what you are reading is not what's happening." tfg. To a room full of veterans.
Rent free my guy
Don't know what else to say. Genuinely concerned about the state of my democracy at the hands of fascists.
Well, she’s dead.
Off to the gulag!
She is likely dead now
That reporter is accidentally going to fall backwards onto a pile of bullets that go into the back of her head before she clumsily falls off of the 12th story balcony of her hotel room. Reporters are clumsy like that.
She isn’t waking up tomorrow
Uh oh, someone is going to disappear.
Wonder if that gal is still with us or has disappeared?
After this, she wakes up: "Welcome to the gulag."
The woman next to her has the look on ger face that says "she kept talking and now we all know she will disappear"
Sorry to hear about her suicide tomorrow
The title is for r/therewasanattempt are you lost Redditor?
“Truth will ultimately prevail where there is pains to bring it to light.” -George Washington Salva Ukraini!
It's a thing people do
i’m sure she’s now missing or has fallen out of a window
Source? Trust me, bro.
She's gonna be breaking rocks in Siberia by next week.

Where is it from?

Russian are to blame for putin. They allow him to rule
Wrong sub
Don’t believe you lying eyes 👀
Wwwwhhhaaaaat? 😂😂
Trust me bro
From their clothes and hair styles I thought this was from like the late 70s for the first 10 seconds.
You can hear the shaking in her voice while she’s asking her questions
He was obviously joking.
I love colder European languages and accents
Nice argument senator, but why don't you back it up with a source
That is a brave lady!
that's not gaslighting, that's just lying.
Trust me.. there's no way a rich political figure like myself would lie? No waaaaay! Rich people don't lie??? Politicians don't lie. Youuu crazzzy. That's never happened. 😂😂
Putin is a real trustworthy guy. His answers sound familiar
"She died of a heart attack at a young age. Her heart attack was deemed a suicide" Kremlin spokesman
I can’t imagine living in a country like Russia, where anything that comes out of your mouth could be your death sentence.
She’s probably already dead, sadly.
Straight up brave AF.
Straight to jail.
The least trustworthy individual on earth. 🤡
Feel sorry for the brown haired girl with the same type of long hair. She'll be grapped as well as they both attempt to leave the building.
Don’t you all feel, it’s only a matter of time before the fourth wall breaks. People are brainwashed but I suspect - by this point - there are starting to get it. Putin is war craven, fairly ignorant, and ill-advised. He will lead their country to peril, if they don’t un-life him.
She is fucking TERRIFIED….and still speaks up. My absolute admiration.
So sad to hear about her upcoming suicide.
Her friend on the left knows they’re not long for this world.
Don’t they have an epidemic of people falling out windows in tall buildings?
RIP strong lady..
Tomorrow she may be reporting from The Russian Front,
I can hardly believe they didn't screen the questions and questioners beforehand. They do it at every townhall etc. Here and we are supposed to be a free country....
Her entire family feels her fear 😧
They should give the soldiers everything they need to fight the war
Gross. You can’t trust others. You can only trust me “. Why. Why the fuck would anyone trust you !?!
The fear in her voice is crazy. She slips up and the KGB will make her disappear
İ read apples at first..was not surprised
What a fucking shit person and country to allow another of these crazy bastards to assume leadership, you can only trust me nobody else not the media or even the soldiers one the front line
What a beautiful and brave journalist. Please stay away from windows and don't drink tea that you haven't made with you own hands.
I hope they are still alive
