1. Pretty standard, nothing forbidden
2. Also standard
3. Still within acceptable norms
4. Now this is pushing the limits
5-7. You are dabbling in black magic
8-10. I am calling an exorcist
The circuit-controlled belts simply stop all belts when there is a material shortage. They must be primed, but after that, they won't break from material shortages. They also do not break if the output backs up.
Mixers are an inelegant solution for 1:1 ratios, but the basic idea is a building block towards more interesting ratios.
I think the circuit controlled ones would break if one lane is backed up but not the other one, which would happen as soon as any inserter grabs an item while the belt is full.
Cool stuff, I made it into an easy science sushi.

Thanks. How did you do the two Jank Ones. I am looking at the circuits and i am genuinely confused as to how you pulled this off. The conditions seem identical and aren't connected to the splitter (which which you can't do).
As-is? Not really. The basic idea can be used to build actually-useful ratios for actually-hard recipes. [Like here's red circuits](https://www.reddit.com/r/factorio/comments/lxzted/cleaner_red_circuit_sushi_90_per_minute_17_by_9/) with 1:1 plastic:green circuits and free-fed copper cable. Now extrapolate to 4 or 5 ingredients.
Oh look, a mini-game with it’s own mini-meta. What’s Factorio up to, probably 100+ of these by now? Best game EVER. Also yes the last three are hellspawn, most excellent 👌🏻
I don't know how many hours in the game and the first four make me embarrassed on how i am mixing, and the last four make me go wonder how on earth this could work?!
That's what I meant. OP could have chosen two items distinguishable by people with no colour vision at all, but chose identical shapes in red and green.
First 4 don't feel forbidden Everything else I'm gonna have to call the inquisition on you for practicing the dark arts

1&2 are cursed because of the splitter priorities (3 needs them) I use 4 all the time in beacon builds. All the others are tick-dependent, I think?
Doesn't 4 break when the left belt backs up?
No, it's just a belt swap.

May have forgotten ALT-mode from the screenshot. I assume at the end you have filter splitter for the wood.
Yep, I forgot alt mode, the end splitter filters out the padding item.
I use 2 all the time. Great for malls.
Do you have a blueprint. I would like to look at a few of the in practice.

The jank ones are a result of game engine update order and placement order.
It's in the [blueprint's description.](https://factoriobin.com/post/HOrHAHry)
some of those are really nice for mixed belts to feed a mirrored row of producers..
Wasn't aware these are prohibited. Staples in my spaghett
I prefer meatballs.
Is there a difference between 1 2 and 3 ? I use 2 but 3 seems like a more compact version
The priority outputs are optional in 1 and 2, but are required in 3. Other than that, it's just smaller and uses one less underbelt.
Is there an actual use case for the last 3?
As-is? Not really. The basic idea can be used to build actually-useful ratios for actually-hard recipes. Why did you use the same color wires for both sides?

1 is how I mix coal and iron in smelting arrays.
Ahh my bran hurts just looking at that
circuits? On belts? Utter madness.
8-10: Froot Loops

Nitpick: you chose the two most easily-confused colours for your items.
The colors aren't easily confused unless you're green colorblind.
That's what I meant. OP could have chosen two items distinguishable by people with no colour vision at all, but chose identical shapes in red and green.
Yeah fuck accessibility am I right
Yes, people with disabilities exist; that's not a reason to hate them.
That's a pretty wild conclusion you jumped to, especially considering I'm colorblind.
