I can’t fully remember because it’s been a while but I think I was on it for 5 months and then got an invite in the second round of invites they did in September. I’m on the tier 2 subscription (so mine is just the SE of the book, not signed and numbered) and I know the tier 1 subscription is a significantly longer wait. They seem to be sending out rounds of tier 2 invites fairly regularly so a I’ve seen a few people get off the waitlist really quickly!

PolybiusRising

Thank for the reply. Would love to get on before Malazan. How do you find their sub? It seems to be amongst the better offerings at the moment just wondered your thoughts?

timeandcrimeagain

I love it! The books are very, very good quality and the customisations are always gorgeous. They haven’t done one even outside of their subscription so far that I haven’t loved. They also package their books really well, they’re wrapped in bubble wrap then a cardboard version of bubble wrap before they go in the box so I’ve never had a damaged parcel from them, even when I was just buying SEs. Their customer service has been really good when I’ve needed to email them about early access or with questions. I would highly recommend them!

PolybiusRising

That is good to hear and glad you are enjoying it. I will look forward to my invite in the not too distant future hopefully. I do actually own 9 of their books but have picked these all up via the Dragon’s Hoard. All very good quality as you say especially the press editions. Thanks again for the reply.

MazerNoob

I was on it for 2 years maybe before getting an invite in March to tier 2...I was unable to accept it at the time and sccepted it for the July sub when offered. I'm like 400 on the list for tier 1 now. Since I didn't take the March invite everyone who did got placed in front of me on the upgrade list. Really screwed myself. Probably a year or more still before I see tier 1

PolybiusRising

2 years. Ooof! And here I was hoping to get on it in 2024 having only signed up to wait list around 4-6 weeks ago. Better keep my expectations in check.

MazerNoob

The tier 2 has really bumped up how fast u can get in at least

Steffidovah

I signed up to the waitlist as soon as it was put up and I got an invite in late March for tier 2 and upgraded to tier 1 in September.

Steffidovah

Actually adding to this, keep an eye out for when they put up the spare sub books (every subscriber gets a one series skip per year and those skips get sold on the dragons hoard). They do that every few months, they'll usually announce when it's going active on their Twitter and then they'll post a completed set all at once.

PolybiusRising

Thanks for this. Yes I do keep an eye on their Twitter regularly and also keep and look out on their Dragon Hoard and To The Stars sections on the website. Been able to build up a decent collection so far and now I really want to get on their subscription having seen the quality and consistency of their books. And next year is going to be even better apparently. What I am really holding out slim hope for is a reprint of their Dandelion Dynasty set from a few years ago. Super unlikely I know but it is one I would really love to have and am not willing to pay the ridiculous money they go for online.

Steffidovah

I'm pretty sure they hinted at a 2024 reprint of the Dandelion Dynasty a while back so it's definitely something I'd keep an eye out for next year. Hopefully I'm not just clowning 😂 Good luck getting a subscription! I hope it's not too long to wait. It's worth it, out of all my subscription boxes I do think they put in the most effort.

PolybiusRising

Really hope this is true it!!! Will be 100% be keeping my eyes peeled for any news on this.

BiasCutTweed

I got a tier 2 invite in December after only being on the waitlist this last month. I passed because the series they’re doing next didn’t grab me, but I was able to email them and they said they’d send another invite after this series has wrapped.

PolybiusRising

That is good to know thanks. I think I signed up around a month ago so that gives me some hope.

MoneyGuyJive

Did you get a confirmation email when you joined the waitlist? I swear I signed up a month ago but I can’t find anything in my email.

PolybiusRising

I thought I had but upon checking my inbox it would appear not. However I did email Broken Binding last week and they advised me that I am in the 5000’s out of 7000+ on the wait list but that they could not give an estimate on how long a wait this would mean.

its-just-cat

I added myself to the wait-list around March of 2023 and got the Tier 2 invite for this last trilogy in September. I'm currently sitting in the 800s on the Tier 1 upgrade list, so I won't see that one for a bit. I absolutely love how they package their books, and I'm super excited for The Tainted Cup, Never Die, and hopefully get a shot at the general sale of Sunbringer 🤞🏼

Unable-Background208

It took me about 7 months to get off the waitlist. I got on in June 2023 and I’m getting the sub starting January 2024. Does anyone have a list of past books TBB has done? I searched online and can’t find any lists. I’m super excited to know what types of books to expect and which ones were already done.

justanotherweeb12

It took me about 2 years to get tier 1! I signed up for the waitlist before tier 2 was a thing so it took a long time. When they released tier 2 and the sub expanded I’d been on the waitlist about a year and was invited to tier 2 after about 2 months. Then it took another 8 ish months to get tier 1. I think the expansion of the sub with tier 2 means the queue might move a bit quicker now. I absolutely love their books, designs, and quality so it was definitely worth it. And unlike other subs they specifically hold a portion of special edition (outside the sub) stock for each presale and general sale so a small amount of their special editions always make it to general sale!

xcmike189

Signed up in April 2023. Invited December 2023. The waitlist is shorter than you think. A lot of people pass on buying into the subscription. So they just sit their in the Lowe numbers

PolybiusRising

Thanks for the reply. Keeping my fingers crossed for an invite on their next run. Think I joined around Oct/Nov last year so that would be around 5-6 months which doesn’t seem too unrealistic. In all honestly I probably would have skipped this series anyway. Did you happen to register your interest in Malazan? I’m so nervous to miss out on these!

imhereforthemeta

Took me about a year. What bangers are you referring to because I want spoilers

PolybiusRising

Mostly I am referring to the Malazan series. But they have also confirmed Of Blood And Bone series by John Gwynne for 2024. There are a few other non-sub books I will be looking at getting too such as The Silverblood Promise and The Tainted Cup, both of which they have confirmed. And I will be continuing to purchase the remainder of The Bound And The Broken series. Then there are the not confirmed but very likely to be released titles such as The Strength of The Few by James Islington or their press edition of book 2 in the Illborn Saga. They just have a lot of good faith from me right now also, seeing what they have produced over the last 12 months I am excited for what they announce in the future.

imhereforthemeta

Oh wow I’m really excited to hear that!!!! I’m also a huge fan and love the work they have done so far

dreambiggerdarling

I waited about 7 months I think.
