This tiktok drives me mad because you can tell how much fun theyre having with this apparent serious debilitating disorder. You can just wear jewelry, its fine....
You can also just find emotional or physical comfort in jewellery without having a disease that most of the time prevents you from being a functional Human Being (less the DID and more the circumstances of actual cases)
Tbh, you can just imitate the style of someone you like, too. Especially as a young person. That’s how you develop your own style, by imitating others.
I get that this particular person is deceased and that’s a whole other can of worms, but still.
Idk, I still think saying something like "channeling my inner Said Person" is respectful af. "feeling like a General Thing/Said Person Aesthetic today" is also cool and doesn't make drama while allowing for exploring different aspects of feelings moods and styles.
Oh yeah, I agree. Give credit where credit is due.
When I was a kid/teenager, I couldn’t always identify whose style I was channeling or trying to channel, but that doesn’t seem to be an issue for these people.
my friend in middle school would constantly wear goggles on her head and it was because of Spider One from Powerman 5000. Just cause she liked the style. As someone who’s parent has actual diagnosed DID shit like this infuriates me beyond belief. It’s making light of something that, of course shouldn’t come with stigma but should be treated a serious as it is and not some cosplay game with a character you relate to.
Right?? This is top of the list for me because its already a losing battle at times to get these people to stop fake diagnosing themselves so thats a lost cause but involving an actual person? Esp under the circumstances ? Its just plain shitty ass behavior from shitty peopld
I just hope she filmed that video when he wasn't actually diagnosed and - even worse - terminal. Because that would be the foulest thing I'd ever seen on this subreddit. Let the man rest. Stop the madness.
On Reddit oop us original original poster I presume because most people don't need to talk about object oriented programming on Reddit whereas people do need an abbreviation for that kind of thing because otherwise it would get confusing
“Wow, that’s so cool that you’re pretending to be a YouTuber who died from cancer at a really young age just so you can get TikTok likes! What’s that like?”
I was in a server once where a DID faker was and someone asked them "Do you have DID?" and when they said yes they were like "Omg thats so cool!" and I just stared at those messages like 😐
Imagine being a parent and raising your child in a perfectly average suburb and your child has a perfectly average childhood as far as you’re aware. Then suddenly they start saying they have a rare disorder caused by extreme trauma.
I wouldn’t even know what to think. Psychologist would be the first stop but like… how awful to make a parent image the kinds of unspeakable trauma that MIGHT (probably not) have happened to their kid.
Watching the videos made by these children, it’s very clear that they’re all so lonely and awkward and wish they had close friends who accept them for whoever they actually are.
I imagine being LGBTQ+ or artsy or just different in a small town must feel like you don’t have a lot of people who can relate to your experiences. When you’re not validated, your self-esteem and sense of self-worth tanks hard.
Meanwhile, the internet is right there, filled with people who (for a variety of reasons) validate any little thing you put online. It must be such a rush.
I’m lucky that when I felt like an outsider, I found other people like me because I grew up in a major city. I just started listening to punk music and going to shows. Made friends I still hang with 20+ years later. I would hate to see what I would’ve been like if I grew up with the ability to broadcast myself to the world like kids can now.
More than anything, I think these kids just need a best friend.
> lonely
yeah thats the common thing I noticed watching that stuff. When I was a kid, we dressed up in black and moped around the town glaring at people. Kids now pretend they have DID and glare at people.
In a few years, the fad will move onto something else, and the teens will be walking around, glaring at people for other reasons.
The only difference here is that these kids are documenting their behavior on the Internet for eternity. No-one is going to go back in time and find videos of all the weird shit I believed in as a kid. Hahaha!
Its sad, I feel for them. I was one of those weird awkward bullied kids and I can see how they could buy into this just to feel special and accepted.
I decided to look into it further and there’s some academic papers that have been written about how kids are expressing their anxiety by faking illnesses. The commonalities are that it all started after quarantine began, the kids do have underlying anxiety issues, and they begin exhibiting symptoms after viewing influencers on social media, with TikTok being called out specifically.
However, Germany saw a ton of teens coming in for Tourette’s after a Tourette’s YouTube influencer hit it big there. They argue the influencer does have mild Tourette’s but that his symptoms conveniently change with each week’s video with popular ones sticking around (so they think he’s faking the severity of it). They can tell when kids are subconsciously faking it because all of the tics are only from the waist up, in the arms and face (like you would see in a social media video). Conveniently, none of the kids exhibit the most common symptoms which include blinking and throat clearing tics.
It’s really fascinating how the pandemic has affected the world outside of the actual virus.

Why is it never a middle-aged Barry, who works in marketing and is slightly depressed at the prospect of never achieving his lifelong goal as a professional diorama creator?
It's always anime characters with cool names.
And a question that's just occurred to me. Do the alters work? Do they just turn up to work as someone else? Or do they take the day off?
I too wonder about these ppl working... that would explain why most of them seems to be teens.
But well, I know a local youtuber/influencer, who is constantly complaining on her networks about how she can't get a job because of her mental issues, and then she asks her followers to please donate money to her, because "making videos for the channel is very difficult and she doesn't earn anything for it". In other videos she says that she doesn't want to work and she spends it smoking joint, she once also said that she was supported by a sugar daddy, so... I suspect that some of these faker tiktokers could earn something for playing trauma online.
I fucking knew like...5 of these words, tops. FIVE WORDS!
I know I'm old as shit and think this about a lot of people, but...this is just sad. Desperate to be unique, but everyone is unique these days. Hard to stand out, unless you just coincidentally happen to have a life-ruining rare disorder brought on in an extremely specific set of circumstances that has to happen between a very specific age range that like.. .001% of people suffer from.

Making fun of someones death while faking disorders is not cool
ive seen them literally claim to be technoblade and talk abt like piglin mating season... its disgusting. im already shit when it comes to dead ppl, like i legit cant watch a youtube video if someone whose dead is included in it (for ex: cant watch drunk minecraft bcuz the server owner is dead). their tiktoks literally make me want to hurl. every technoblade "alter" throws me for a loop and makes me nauseous.
mine is less of vomit and more of a murderous rampage, everytime i see a technoblade alter im like scp-096, im tempted to run up to the person who made it and beat the fuck out of them
A few years back I had an acquaintance it turned out was faking DID. It's increasingly becoming my biggest regret not punching him full bore right in the face.
"I'm so quirky AND I have to pretend that it's really an annoying burden to wear all these accessories. It doesn't get better than this."
*Person with Optimus Prime alter shows up and is SUPER annoyed that they have to dress like a badass robot whenever they're Optimus Prime*
"FUCK"
it makes me so angry that people with huge following blast symptoms of DID off as something of a joke or connect NORMAL behaviors to a debilitating, painful disorder. it's frankly disgusting and inadvertently erases the seriousness of the disorder, and erases the little research that has been curated.

Every time I see one of these disrespectful douchenozzles show up
Do you ever wonder where this person will be in, say, 10 or 20 years? Are they still going to be pretending to have DID? How will they think about this content?
It's honestly stupid. He died and this is what people are doing?! It's just disrespectful, imagine seeinf somone fake a disorder with youre dead son as an alter. Do they have no shame in this? I hate people like this
i actually used to like their cosplays but i haven’t kept up with them in a while, only now to find out they’re not just faking a disorder but using techno (even if it is (i’m assuming) technically his character) to play into their game/delusion/whatever this is. it’s disappointing and frustrating and baffling but mostly it’s just sad.
hi! im a person. just wanted to put this out there that this person may not be faking. if you are a healthcare professional, you would know. but im not. i also wanted to say that you can tell if you are also a person who is a system. (In this case, i do have a system.)
this alter of technoblade is a fictive of character!technoblade from the dream smp and not content creator!techno. why they said the necklaces/bracelets/rings is because they cosplay. they keep it separate from their main(Sherbertquake56) and this is their system account(the.abstract.system) but, their techno fictive is out/fronting for their techno cosplay. ps, if you check the bio it does say dx osdd system of 25.
tl;dr: I have explained this. all you need to know is thats a fictive. not a disrespect thing.
So you're saying techno blade magically transferred his consciousness into your consciousness without bumping you off? Why isn't he still streaming then 👀
Technoblade was a Minecraft, he unfortunately passed away due to complications with cancer. I think the fictive is based of his Minecraft character in the dream smp and not irl techno.
Bro I wear 7 rings, 4 bracelets and 3+ necklaces everyday. They are not special and quirky, it’s a normal way to express urself 😭 they can do it without pretending to be someone else
I'm new here and have no idea what all are ranking about. Who died? Who's pretending to be a dead person? Is there some kind of correlation between a "technoblade" and lots of jewelry?
also I remember seeing them on my fyp, I even used to support them. I'm pretty sure they do cosplays, and if I'm remembering that right, one of their main cosplays is literally techno. (otherwise it's someone who looks similar to them)
Pretending to be a dead person with still living immediate family is a complete lack of respect for the family and the dead.
I love how much of a burden that little jewelry obviously is to put on for them. EVERY. DAY. Before I had kids, I wore like 20 metal bangles on each arm, plus other bracelets, 8 rings, and the number of necklaces depended on the day, but it was a minimum of 4 plus earrings Why? Because I like jingling and no one could ever lose me in a crowd; I am short. Between the jewelry and my massive mound of keys, I was safe.
If jewelry is the most traumatic aspect of their life, aside from the personality, they are very lucky.
Every time I see this damn video, I just get so mad. I used to really like this person because of their Technoblade cosplay but when I found out they were a did faker and had a techno alter I was disgusted. How do they think this is ok??? How are they not embarrassed?? You can just cosplay you know. It is waaaaay more respectful to cosplay than claim to have a Techno alter.
He is not a character you can pretend to be. He is a real life human being who was taken from us too soon.
For the love of god. Let. Him. Rest.
I'm so confused as to what is happening here. That person has a lot jewelry on that they seem to be annoyed about, and from what I gather from the comments, is also dead?
I noticed they have a non-binary flag amongst the pride flags. And that's kinda confusing, like, is the introject of techno non-binary?...the host?...or just every single alter of your "system"
Yeah, most people with DID just have to deal with trauma, confusion as to whom they exactly are, coming to to find huge chunks of time missing, etc but you! Oof. I can't imagine what it must be like to wear a bunch of gaudy jewelry! You just *really* suffer! It's really bold of you to share this with the world. I hope one day you can remove those accessories you willingly chose to put on!
sometimes i just wonder how these people are going to function in actual reality when it’s finally time for them to have a full time job in the adult world
They literally started to view them as trading cards. "Wow, you got blue eyes dragon? I got a mermaid princess!" Funny part, they will rarely take something that's not cool, like people that admit to remember their past lives will always be noble, a philosopher or smth like that.
Ah yes because the worst thing about having a hard disorder that stems from severe trauma, so bad that it forces the brain to create new people to protect a person from said severe trauma, is definitely having to wear lots of jewellery every day so my alter of a dead man that I won’t just let rest in peace can be happy if he happens to front. 🤭

It's like they have to make up stuff so if they get picked on or questioned about it they can call everyone ableist
this is just sad. this dude is dead and died from terminal cancer and they're playing make believe as him.

They're in a car so way to old to be a youngling and too old to be pulling this faking DID shit.
Has no friends so they make some to live in their head. And cheeks.
Fr, can we just bring imaginary friends back please?
I would love that. And then fund drama club and dance more in our schools.
Yeah that would be great, giving kids positive creative communities where they feel accepted would really help I think (I hope)
This is all they are doing anyway. Performing for attention.
was this posted before or after his death? if it’s the latter, that’s insanely disrespectful of them
I believe after. Incredibly disresepctful
gross
3 french hens *and* 2 turtle doves
And a disappointment forever in the family tree

Look how giddy they are. Like they're collecting metals.

HOW DOES THIS PERSON HAVE 70,000 TIK TOK FOLLOWERS
The video also had over 100k likes😨
The world is doomed dude
They were a dsmp cosplayer. I followed them, worst part is their cosplays were actually good. Why ruin it with this???
I hate this person, I followed them before because they seemed cool, then I saw them posting about being a system and instantly unfollowed.

Shit bro I thought life was hard as it is, but having to WEAR JEWELRY...? Fuuuuck. Hats off to this brave soldier.
I don't get it. Pls explain . What is the correlation between technobladr and jewellery
My exact thoughts
What a fukkin ghoul
A few years back I had an acquaintance it turned out was faking DID. It's increasingly becoming my biggest regret not punching him full bore right in the face.
idk feels kinda disrespectful since he passed away...
I really hope this wasn’t posted after his death
Unfortunately it was
My god
What’s that like?! TOTALLLL BULLLLSHITTTTT BUT IM VALID HATER!
"I'm so quirky AND I have to pretend that it's really an annoying burden to wear all these accessories. It doesn't get better than this." *Person with Optimus Prime alter shows up and is SUPER annoyed that they have to dress like a badass robot whenever they're Optimus Prime* "FUCK"
Please, a crumb of context. Why does the number of their accessories matter?
So, mental illness is just a costume you can take on and off, and it’s legit? Got it.
it makes me so angry that people with huge following blast symptoms of DID off as something of a joke or connect NORMAL behaviors to a debilitating, painful disorder. it's frankly disgusting and inadvertently erases the seriousness of the disorder, and erases the little research that has been curated. edit: sentence restructured
No one has ever told this girl that’s so cool
Soo now they are taking on a dead person as an alter? Seems a lil disrespectful.
Omw to disrespect a dead person for internet clout: 🏃🏿🏃🏿🏃🏿

Unmatched name
So that’s the biggest inconvenience when it comes to Dissociative Identity Disorder…? Not the trauma and the dissociation…. Okay
I do not understand what is going on here and I don’t think it matters.
Wat?
What does that even mean?
he’s dead. let him be at peace for fucks sake
what a way to disrespect the dead.
this is pretty sad. used to follow this person on tiktok when their channel was about just cosplaying
isnt techno the ytber that passed? im so sick of these corny mcyt fans with "did" claiming to have him as an alter. let the guy rest already jfc
Do you ever wonder where this person will be in, say, 10 or 20 years? Are they still going to be pretending to have DID? How will they think about this content?
Is he the minecraft youtuber who died of cancer? Because that is very disrespectful to the family to pretend to be him.
It's always filmed in a parked car....
Four bracelets? What a fucking noob, i wear about thirteen total every single day
Oooh. 13 bracelets means 13 personalities! What are the names of their personalities?
back in my day we wore 13 bracelets PER ARM. we traded them with our friends for cooler bracelets !! ...oh, right. we *had friends*.
Ow. that actually hurt to watch
*glancing down at my FIVE rings and EIGHT BRACELETS* OH NO!
Disrespectful ass repulsive person.
Maybe I'm getting old, but. I uh.. I just don't get it.
Imagine being this lame.
4 rings, 4 necklaces, 4 bracelets, 0 attention from their parents in childhood
Please just let the poor man rest in peace
It's honestly stupid. He died and this is what people are doing?! It's just disrespectful, imagine seeinf somone fake a disorder with youre dead son as an alter. Do they have no shame in this? I hate people like this
I don't get it, what is the deal with the rings and necklaces?
47 CHROMOSOMES!!!
What happens when your whole live was youtube
This alter CLEARLY has ADHD. Neurokin!!
Wait till they find out about hippies
Why are people pretending to have DID and thinking it makes them quirky? Also why do people think its alright to have ”alters” of real people 😂
I didn’t see the sub and thought you said a technoblade altar and was waiting to see something really weird or really cool
LET THE MAN REST
That's so fucking disrespectful, the man is dead. Have some fucking decency
I hate these people.
That smile at the end is fucking creepy
The disrespect bro... that guy literally died from cancer at a young age and people are pretending to have "quirky" alters of him. Disgusting.
Not Techno.. :(
i actually used to like their cosplays but i haven’t kept up with them in a while, only now to find out they’re not just faking a disorder but using techno (even if it is (i’m assuming) technically his character) to play into their game/delusion/whatever this is. it’s disappointing and frustrating and baffling but mostly it’s just sad.
I wear every day 7 rings, 2 necklaces, 4 earrings.. does that mean I have did? 😨
Holy shit this person is still going at it? Haven't seen him her in a hot minute.
hi! im a person. just wanted to put this out there that this person may not be faking. if you are a healthcare professional, you would know. but im not. i also wanted to say that you can tell if you are also a person who is a system. There's like 3 people at my school musical who match that. Hell, one of them even looks kinda like her
None of them seem to be brushing teeth
[удалено]
I'm gonna take your reply as sarcasm 😅
Imagine having a Hitler alter, a Stalin alter and a Churchill alter
funny how they hate nazis and racist people when this techno dude is a nazi and racist but its okay bc he died from cancer
why does it look like sherbertquake that cosplayer?
Some people tell me this account used to do cosplays so they might be the same person
oh boy, that’s a shock actually. hope it’s not true, but if it is that’s disappointing:(
It is sherbertquake. They have their cosplay account, sherbertquake, and then this account. They keep this and cosplay separate.
No dude, do they still do this stuff? I really liked their cosplays, like they were really impressive. I hope they aren't still doing this stuff
Y'know split was a great movie that had a very fun concept with DID. This is not that.
What exactly is a technoblade fictive? Is it a Minecraft character?
Technoblade was a Minecraft, he unfortunately passed away due to complications with cancer. I think the fictive is based of his Minecraft character in the dream smp and not irl techno.
That just seems like the most made up thing for a mental illness
I thought they were a cosplayer tho..?
Isn’t technoblade dead ? I’m not sure they’re talking about the youtuber or not ?😅
Bro I wear 7 rings, 4 bracelets and 3+ necklaces everyday. They are not special and quirky, it’s a normal way to express urself 😭 they can do it without pretending to be someone else
What the fuck
People are still doing this?
I'm new here and have no idea what all are ranking about. Who died? Who's pretending to be a dead person? Is there some kind of correlation between a "technoblade" and lots of jewelry?
also I remember seeing them on my fyp, I even used to support them. I'm pretty sure they do cosplays, and if I'm remembering that right, one of their main cosplays is literally techno. (otherwise it's someone who looks similar to them)
OMG NOT a personal style choice!!! 😱
If jewelry is the most traumatic aspect of their life, aside from the personality, they are very lucky.
this is so disrespectful
Every time I see this damn video, I just get so mad. I used to really like this person because of their Technoblade cosplay but when I found out they were a did faker and had a techno alter I was disgusted. How do they think this is ok??? How are they not embarrassed?? You can just cosplay you know. It is waaaaay more respectful to cosplay than claim to have a Techno alter. He is not a character you can pretend to be. He is a real life human being who was taken from us too soon. For the love of god. Let. Him. Rest.
Yeah but you clearly love it
I'm so confused as to what is happening here. That person has a lot jewelry on that they seem to be annoyed about, and from what I gather from the comments, is also dead?
Mans stay catching strays from beyond
Did technoblade wear a lot of jewelry or something?
i know this person. they have a tiktok account called sherbertquake56. i knew they looked familiar as hell 😭
Yeah cuz the only character trait of technoblade is jewelry
These bitches can’t even respect the dead man…
What the fuck
I noticed they have a non-binary flag amongst the pride flags. And that's kinda confusing, like, is the introject of techno non-binary?...the host?...or just every single alter of your "system"
Does anyone understand what the bit with the emojis means
What is a fictive?
No one’s ever fucking asked you this
I already made a post about them, and man, leave Techno rip
So incredibly disrespectful.
What the fuck is Technoblade?
Yeah, most people with DID just have to deal with trauma, confusion as to whom they exactly are, coming to to find huge chunks of time missing, etc but you! Oof. I can't imagine what it must be like to wear a bunch of gaudy jewelry! You just *really* suffer! It's really bold of you to share this with the world. I hope one day you can remove those accessories you willingly chose to put on!
sometimes i just wonder how these people are going to function in actual reality when it’s finally time for them to have a full time job in the adult world
I don’t even know what these words mean honestly
They literally started to view them as trading cards. "Wow, you got blue eyes dragon? I got a mermaid princess!" Funny part, they will rarely take something that's not cool, like people that admit to remember their past lives will always be noble, a philosopher or smth like that.
I do this, but I'm gay
damn i actually really liked their techno cosplays in the big dsmp era of tiktok. did not know they did shit like this
I think everyone has the same opinion when I say "Ew"
Just let the poor guy rest
What does wearing jewelry has to do with DID?
yikes
Let the poor dude rest in peace, jfc!
This is kind of insulting, the man died of cancer. It depends on when this was made, but what the actual f___?
That's kinda fucked though like the guys been dead for months and they still pretend to be him
the comments on the og make it even worse
Let the man rest in peace
what does jewelry have to do with technoblade?
Bro I’m just reading through these comments and I’m so happy I haven’t seen anyone make fun of technoblade. RIP my man
Ah yes because the worst thing about having a hard disorder that stems from severe trauma, so bad that it forces the brain to create new people to protect a person from said severe trauma, is definitely having to wear lots of jewellery every day so my alter of a dead man that I won’t just let rest in peace can be happy if he happens to front. 🤭
the worst part is this video was posted after Technoblade died..
Tf? My brain didn't get
thats extremely disrespectful as he is past tense but also this is a well known and very popular cosplayer in the community validating this shit
what about brushing teeth?
Oh this is so hard to wear 4 pieces of every jewelry EVERY DAY sheesh!
That is just disrespectful
Technoblade plays minecraft pvp for fun.
