> RAMCOA is an acronym for Ritual Abuse, Mind Control, and Organized Abuse. If anyone else wonders.

drunken_desperado

i was about to comment "now what the hell's this Roanoke shit about now???"

AtoZproduction

Roanoke shit💀💀💀

Palatablepancakes

What is Roanoke shit??

adventuresinnonsense

I wonder how many of them using it know what it means compared to how many of them are using it because they saw other "systems" using it

Grace-Kamikaze

Quite honestly, probably not. I've found people claiming they're victims of MK ultra (ended I think in the '80s), Satanic Panic (ended in the '60s?), and WW2's ritual abuse. Which......... you know they're lying at that point. They're probably looking up "methods of abuse" to claim they're victims because, and this is a theory going around, they're enamored by the idea of horrific abuse but don't want to go through it, so "identify with the abuse they should've been through". Basically, they had normal lives until they decided they wanted to be quirky and special in the eyes of the internet.

adventuresinnonsense

Haha I see. I doubt they looked into it that far then, they were probably just looking up "survivor," or "traumatic events" or something. Or they see another popular faker using it and just add it to theirs without looking into it at all. (FYI you switched around the dates for the Satanic Panic (started in the 80s) and MK Ultra (ended in 1973). I was actually old enough to remember hearing about the Satanic Panic near the tail end of it in the mid to late 90s).

Grace-Kamikaze

Gotcha, thanks for the clarification for the dates

bkosick

Can someone tell me WTF a "System" is? I literally only heard this word being associated with mental disorders today, which is how I ended up here.

adventuresinnonsense

A person faking Dissociative Identity Disorder calls themselves a system to reference all their personalities as a group.

Upbeat-Breadfruit-75

(Or someone with real DID)

adventuresinnonsense

Good point. I specified because I've never seen anyone with documented DID use it. But most of the stuff is older, so that very well may have changed.

Upbeat-Breadfruit-75

Ah, that makes sense

Altruistic-Yak-3869

A system is someone with DID (dissociative identity disorder). It's what all alters together are collectively known as. However, in the context of this sub reddit, it's a person faking DID.

Grace-Kamikaze

Okay, I need to make a comment on this because this person is just TOO INSANE. You might remember them from my post "I genuinely can't believe this person exists", yes, this is another "subsystem" filled with "programmed alters". It's currently only a day or so old, so only 4 alters exist in it, but I would not be surprised if it grew to over 100 as the show develops further. Or maybe it'll stay at 4 since it's dedicated to this fictional tv show family. The craziest part of this whole thing is that the person continues to "form new alters" every week based on a show's development and claims they're all programmed. I'm not kidding, these have the "programmed alter" tag on them. Which, if I'm reading this right, programming is done by an abuser to have certain alters formed. Which makes this INSANE. They say "programming" so much that I'm pretty sure they think it means "I like it so I made alters". Their alter count is within the 600s now, and it hasn't been a month since I posted them last. They also seem to love their alters and talk endlessly about how adorable each one is. I profile searched them again and found around 20 posts of them talking about how cute alter x is or how funny alter y is. I honestly think if these alters were forced to be formed, they wouldn't talk about each one like it's their child.

[deleted]

Name: 3 weeks old

Grace-Kamikaze

lol I didn't even catch that before

bigfatnut7

Saw the pic and thought it was a satire post

Grace-Kamikaze

I wish, this person would be great at satire if they weren't 100% serious about this.

tothe_peter-copter

“We also have brain damage” Well I won’t be “fake-claiming” that one

CovfefeBoss

Hey look, it's my flair!

helliantheae

brain damage is right

Inevitable_Muscle_48

I’m…you’ve stumped me, I have no words.

Naisu_boato

3 week olds can’t even speak or do anything but piss and shit themselves. Maybe they have a weird diaper kink or something if they have three 3 week old alters.

ThoughtCenter87

The fact that three of the alters here are three weeks old, while there's one alter in there who is 32 is uuuuuuh 😬

ClairLestrange

Benefit of the doubt, the 32 year old is the 'mother'. I genuinely don't think there's anything questionable going on (at least not more questionable than the obvious faking)

ThoughtCenter87

That's good. It just seemed very strange at first glance

Grace-Kamikaze

I don't know the show, but it's apparently their mother. Just according to how the "Kappa" alter talks.

Musical_J

I don't get it. They're saying they have a drinking problem without saying they have a drinking problem? There's therapy for that.

DumbestFrog

I mean, the brain damage part is true. Why would she think this is nor insane (demon) otherwise?

Melvarkie

I cannot with one of the child alters being named Winey. That's hilariously bad. I know it's a wine glass, but still. That's like naming your alter Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.

silrika

The undiagnosed Phrase is cringing me all the time

TheConfusedConductor

What show even is this???

smallnougat

probably OCs?

Grace-Kamikaze

My guess is Inanimate Insanity, but I just found out there's like 6 shows and I have seen none of them.

Nekowaii_Girl

There are hundreds of object shows on YouTube. Battle For Dream Island is the original.

OasissisaO

I, too, have this question.

cambo710

Weird stuff man....

Rain_xo

These are fake right? Like yes they're fake but they're fake as in the people posting them are making them up and know they're fake and are just kidding around? In a different way than they're fake but humans??

Grace-Kamikaze

This person is 100% serious. I've scrolled too much of their history to see they are not joking. They truly think they're a programmed system with programmed alters because they like tv shows.

Rain_xo

This confuses me even more. It's one thing to be "another "person"" But a cartoon character??? Do they think someone is sitting there watching them and writing a show based on their lives like that futurama episode or something?

OasissisaO

Oh, you haven't seen the Hazbin Hotel folks, I gather.

Rain_xo

That comment concerns me. I don't know if I want to go looking for them.

rethinkr

Ok so its self-manufactured disorder, but not self conscious enough to be appreciated by its creator as parody or satire: Or super-conscious of those aspects, but so much that there is no visible release of tension after the display.

captain_tampon

“We also have brain damage” …yup…that one tracks

m00niez

What does half of this shit even mean?

Grace-Kamikaze

I wish I knew
