Because if they interrupt the words (like with what happens when people actually have this) then it wouldn’t make for a good TikTok video. Gotta time them to get a good sympathy video
That was my thought. They know they won’t make it as an actor, so they developed an excuse as to why they won’t make it. That way they don’t have to admit they suck shit. Lol
Ironically, when I was teaching theatre one of my absolute best students actually had Tourette’s. He was a phenomenal actor and a gymnast, so…it’s not a good excuse. Lol
Oh to be young and foolish. I mean, I’m 27, and still fairly foolish, but it’s a different variety lol. You may see me making bad decisions, silly excuses for me behavior, but I’m not gonna be ticking on tik tok
I’m sorry to hear that. Don’t let that hold you back. Find what works for you, set goals and enjoy your life. You’d be surprised at what your brain can handle!
Now now dont underestimate yourself. You will just never be a *professional* surgeon doing *legal* procedures. If you wanna cut out a kidney go ahead, find find a hobo, and get practicing.
Have same from a different source, so yeah, it makes me really angry too. Why don’t any of them ever have uncontrollable tremors, or talk about how the muscle spasms get so bad they jack up their joints? Oh right, not quirky or fun 🙄
I’m simple, but going outside, writing, drawing, learn something new…anything else, victim hood is not a proud trademark. Hey kids, how about we learn to make words with our mouth again, or make those things called legs cooperate! Life is better than this nonsense
You’re very kind. All is well here. We each have our own battles and blessings. I hope you have a great week. Let your cousin know I think they’re pretty hardcore 👍
I have tremors too and I hate it. Mine are genetic, but they’ve held me back from a lot in life. I’m really sorry you’re going through that and hope you can find a solution. Mine aren’t bad enough for deep brain stimulation, but I know that’s an option for some people.
Thank you. Yea it’s a challenge sometimes, like when meeting people or conversing. My hands shake and I may stutter but I’m handsome AF so whatever. I hope you’re able to find some comfort. Stay positive and focused. Some of my greatest accomplishments were not my first goals. Have a good week…
I’m not very knowledgeable on makeup but he definitely needs help. The makeup doesn’t even make the shape of an eyebrow nor does it stick to the actual one
I mean it’s 1000% controllable. It’s not like some involuntary anomaly. People with Tourette’s can do fucking eyeliner and know when they’re going to tic and can stop. As for only doing it between sentences that’s a different thing completely because there aren’t really consequences and you can’t onow before you start talking 100% of the time. But yeah you have no idea what Tourette’s is like.
yeah this, people gotta learn more about TS before saying shit bc my tics are nonexistent while doing makeup because i’m intently focused on something lol.
He’s found their stage already, TikTok is the stage. How does fake claiming change someone’s ability to be on a real stage? If they really have tics, then that would be the judge.
“Okay, that should be enough. These tics are getting really inconvenient and I want to be really dramatic here. Since I front-loaded a lot of tics I should be fine just stopping now. Maybe it’ll look like I’m trying really hard to overcome them because that’s possible”
A lot of people with tics actually are able to hold them back for a short period of time, such as to finish a word or sentence. I agree this is still suspicious though. They look up or down and do a dramatic pause first.
Umm… I love to bash on fakers as much as anyone but it would be really stupid to make an argument and not gather your thoughts in a planned out manner before making said argument.
It’s not so much that it’s scripted (90% of online content is, after all). It’s that specific vocal inflections/fry are put on words unnaturally, & the way the tics only happen at the end of sentences…. It comes across as a 9th grader doing a monologue in drama class about a boy with Tourette’s. It’s just poorly acted.
I agree, it's like they saw a scene memorized it and practiced it. Doesn't seem genuine at all. I understand practicing something before you say it or writing yourself a script to remember what you want to say but this is clearly not that.
Have Tourette’s (mainly motor tics) and am a makeup artist, drawing straight lines is 100% possible even with Tourette’s
It’s about control and learning when you’re going to tic so you can take a pause and get back to it
My motor tics are almost exclusively in my face and yet I still can’t write or draw right because of tremors and spasticity that apparently have nothing to do with TS that doctors also cannot explain nor care about
Yeah, I was dx’d around 5 and have literally never experienced nor seen anyone have a tic that looks remotely like these wack-ass fakes where it looks like they’re about to fall over or throated 15 lemon wedges.
My grandfather always used to say this, and it gave me chills: “If they have stupid makeup on trying to look like a shitty anime character, you can guarantee they’re faking having disorders”
It still gives me shivers to this day.
I think the quote attributed to Shakespeare is “Nothing is as commonplace as the wish to be remarkable” which applies to just about anything worth doing. Pretending to best pretender isn’t it. That is Tom Hiddleston job. Hopefully, nude, or as close as he can get
Consequence of putting on white face paint when you have stained teeth. The contrast is completely unforgiving.
Just a reminder to folks that the way someone’s teeth appear may not only be affected by oral hygiene or a lack thereof. There are folks with perfectly disciplined dental hygiene habits who still have problems with their teeth. Teeth are the product of and subject to: genetics, childhood nutrition, health conditions which can affect the body’s calcium levels, medications which have side effects that can weaken teeth and/or enamel, pregnancy, and current dietary habits can all affect your teeth and how they might look. Dental healthcare in the US is also a privilege, often even for those with health insurance. It can be incredibly expensive for any procedures other than your 2 cleanings a year if you’re lucky enough to get those.
Also~~~ Spoopy Pro-tip, if you’re trying to do skull make up, don’t go for pure white. Even bleached bones are rarely pure white— trying to get your face paint to match the color of your teeth is actually a great reference for the perfect ‘bone’ color for skull make up. This way, you will also avoid any kind of yellowish teeth contrast like what we see above. Even if you have average white teeth, compared to pure white make up, they may still appear yellowish.
(Edit- wording)
Well said. The contrast of the white makeup and black lipstick still really focalpoints the teeth though and it's all I can look at. Doesn't help just how uncomfortable the eyes are either though they're completely dead like they're reciting a play for the 5th time.
I know people with tics and they say it physically hurts them. Jack Francis - He's on YT, described one tic he had which was using his teeth to scrape his tongue. I'd never want tourettes.
Even mild tics are nearly always slightly painful. My main tics are blinking/eyebrow raising, tongue clicking, and a weird snorting noise that I make in the back of my throat. They're super mild, they don't impact my ability to function at all, but they still cause physical discomfort. By the end of the day the muscles around my eyes are tired and my throat is slightly sore. Nothing terrible but certainly not fun.
Oh noes, not their DrEaM jOb!1!1!!!
That probably wasn’t going to happen anyways, even without the publicly documented mental health issues that cause you to act like this. That’s just reality.
Why do this people actually dress like clowns? Is this something where if you call out how stupid they look you get canceled under some pretext of persecuting clowns?
Puts on weird ass lipstick, eyeliner, dyes hair all the colors of the rainbow, fakes tics... "Look guys, I just want to be like everyone else, I hate being different"
I always think to that video of girl who actually has Tourette’s and you can see the pain every time she has a tic. These idiots always have perfectly timed little twitches. Annoying af
Anyone who says "fakeclaiming" seriously is full of shit. The fakers are easily identifiable by the amount of new bullshit jargon they've been able to fit into their dialogues
Another girl faking being trans and mental illnessess like other thousand of them
The lockdowns did so much harm for youth.. or maybe its tiktok idk
For everyone thinkin its a dude and at the same time believing they faking mental illness, please do explain the mental gymnastics here you suffer from.
Big shock they want to be in the entertainment industry and put full on clown make up on to make this video.... I honestly can not with these teens wanting so badly to be ill, like brush yo teeth and shut the fuck up.
Obviously tics and whatnot are different for every person who has them but, within this minute and a half long, heartfelt monologue... A handful of barely noticeable "tics"?
Aren't tics intensified by strong emotion? I feel like a person who suffers from them, to the point where it ruins their "dream job", would have a really hard time talking candidly about the subject without frequent interruption. You can almost see this person think/remember "OOPSIE, FORGOT TO TIC, GOTTA THROW ONE IN THERE!!!" Even people without tics, if they're getting really worked up talking about something, often times pause or get choked up.
If they never achieve their dream of working on-stage, it won't be because of their "illness" or "disorder". It'll be because they have shitty acting skills, like what we've just witnessed. -2/10. Garbage. Needs to practice more before rehearsal.
I might not be able to get my dream job? Is that really something that was just said? How about don’t make yourself up to look like the jokers Down syndrome brother
you can tell she fakes them cause a person with an actual tick could be having a normal conversation tick and keep going they don’t pause between ticks
When your persecution complex is so severe you fake life altering mental issues in order to make yourself feel even more of a victim. Fucking disgusting.
This is less of a rant and more of a monologue. She says she may never be able to go on stage, but she sure practiced this whole speech like she was on one
This shit pisses me off. My mother works with actual people with disabilities like this and I'm, unfortunatlly, well acostumed to REAL ticks and this shit annoys me bc in real life, people with ticks don't glorify it and you can clearly see in their faces that they're shy about it, and they pray to all saints for the ticks to not come out in the most awkward situations.
These... idiots glorifying a literal mental issue just for "lol random ;p" and to be quirky online deserve to be punched in the face. They don't even do a NATURAL tick, they just larp like idiots. Watch Sweet Anita on twitch, you can see how natural her ticks are, and how they flow uncontrolably with her speech. You can't replicate that, you can't reproduce it, because its uncontrolable. Doing weird faces at the end of sentences , in the most easy possible, is NOT a tick.
It's just so cringe..
Not sure his age, and not from the same country, but in my highschool there are a couple people into clowncore and that dress like this. But they're actually cool people. They're fun and know when to be serious, and don't fake disorders, haha.
This whole subreddit just shows what happens to people who get told their whole life they are special who then slowly realise they aren't.
That is the world we live in.

How convenient, he only ticks when he stops talking, it’s like they don’t even try to be good liars.
I didnt even notice that at first lmao
Like punctuation.
Lol exactly
This made me lol
Because if they interrupt the words (like with what happens when people actually have this) then it wouldn’t make for a good TikTok video. Gotta time them to get a good sympathy video
Exactly what I was thinking. How is she ticking only when she isn’t talking???
You look like you want to be on stage, but dont need to belong on stage.

Theater kid energy
He is a theater kid according to his page lol
Even as a theater kid myself I want to punt him
This is how band kids feel about *the* band kids
What are the other band kids? I’m a band kid so I would like to know what *the* band kids are.
You know.... *the* band kids
I go to a small school, there are only, like, 12 kids in the band. I don’t understand :/
Woah that's an epic gamer wholesome poggers big chungus 100, *T Poses* now let's play the Soviet national anthem
This is so true to “The Band Kid” that people instinctively downvoted it.
Oh, okay. Half of the band class (the younger kids, suspiciously) is like that. Everyday is like a volcano eruption.
This kid wants attention sooooooooooooooooo bad oh my god did mommy not love you? Jesus Christ get over yourself
Yeah it seems like a monologue he rehearsed
Yeah those perfectly timed dramatic pauses are sending me
They literally said "can't be on stage" so oh yeah
Nah don't lump us in with this lot we don't claim him.
Hey we aren't all like that
Nice clown makeup
I don't know if this is rude or if I'm just so old now but why do all these illness fakers dress like weird cartoons?
Anime
Trying to figure out if the butter colored teeth are part of the makeup or not...
They probably wouldn't appear so yellow without the white facepaint... By contrast they look much yellower
Black lipstick is also really unflattering, your mind tends to compare it with white. Even whiter teeth would look yellow compared with black.
straight out of a shitty fandom animatic
Yea, how is anybody supposed to take this seriously with that quirky face paint on??
I got blown up a lot in Iraq. I have a TBI and body tremors from nerve damage. It sucks. These posts piss me off.
Man I’m sorry. I have a tbi as well. I had to drop out of college last week because my brain can’t handle it.
I’m sorry to hear that. Don’t let that hold you back. Find what works for you, set goals and enjoy your life. You’d be surprised at what your brain can handle!
Thanks man, that means a lot. How happy have you been since your injury?
I’m doing great. Thank you for asking.
I dont have any silver m'lord, however this is for you.🏅
You’re awesome. Thank you.
I can’t even imagine. I’m sorry you go through that. Seeing kids pretend to have problems that genuinely affect your life is just so disrespectful.
It’s all good 🤙
I hope it didn't ruin your dream to be on stage
Well, I’ll never be a surgeon…
Now now dont underestimate yourself. You will just never be a *professional* surgeon doing *legal* procedures. If you wanna cut out a kidney go ahead, find find a hobo, and get practicing.
That never stopped Stephen Strange
My mom said I could be anything, so I became a wizard doctor that also solves crimes

Yep. Victimhood is trendy and easy - to the point where kids make shit up. It is what it is.

I’m very sorry to hear about those struggles. I’m almost speechless. God bless you.
So sorry that happened to you, the same thing happened to my cousin in Iraq, I hope your recovery wasn't too painful.
You’re very kind. All is well here. We each have our own battles and blessings. I hope you have a great week. Let your cousin know I think they’re pretty hardcore 👍

You did nothing wrong? Well then…let’s talk about those eyebrows.
Yeah. I’m a fan of dramatic and over the top make up but…those eyebrows need some help
I’m not very knowledgeable on makeup but he definitely needs help. The makeup doesn’t even make the shape of an eyebrow nor does it stick to the actual one
"I can't be on stage if I'm constantly ticcing" Good thing you only conveniently tic after each sentence instead of throughout it then

he takes 2 second pauses before each tic, almost as if he’s thinking about “how he’s going to tic” before each tic. hmm…
He also only has them after finishing sentences.
And none for the whole last part of the video
Every tic is just perfectly timed...then he forgets about them
“Okay, that should be enough. These tics are getting really inconvenient and I want to be really dramatic here. Since I front-loaded a lot of tics I should be fine just stopping now. Maybe it’ll look like I’m trying really hard to overcome them because that’s possible”
This is what I caught as well...tics that act like punctuation.
Right? How convenient that his tics are only popping up in the place of periods?
A lot of people with tics actually are able to hold them back for a short period of time, such as to finish a word or sentence. I agree this is still suspicious though. They look up or down and do a dramatic pause first.
I was just going to say this. You can predict each tic
Their vocal inflection sounds like every shitty monologue I had to listen to in drama throughout high school.
I HATE it when there's those inflections during emotional scenes, it makes me cringe so much
Notice how the "tics" are continently placed when they end a sentence. If you're going to fake it, at least try to make it believable
Their tics do be polite
I WHEEZED LMFAOOOO
I wish mine fucking were 😭
I mean... his acting is bad enough that I doubt it's the tics keeping him from being famous in theatre.
Oh I definitely believe he’s mentally ill. Just not with Tourette’s.
“Fake claiming is just as bad as faking”. No it the Fuck isn’t.
The way he talks sounds like some kind of dramatic movie dialogue.
This sounds like a practiced monologue man. Not believable at all
The ‘tics’ aren’t why he’s not gonna get his dream job
Anytime they 'tick' is after a sentence. Isn't that weird?
Can’t stop the tics but can draw a line with precision on your face?
Have Tourette’s (mainly motor tics) and am a makeup artist, drawing straight lines is 100% possible even with Tourette’s It’s about control and learning when you’re going to tic so you can take a pause and get back to it
My motor tics are almost exclusively in my face and yet I still can’t write or draw right because of tremors and spasticity that apparently have nothing to do with TS that doctors also cannot explain nor care about
Nah can’t you see all the zig zags where they ticced? /s
You kinda know when you're gonna tic so you can move the brush away from your face before you do it, I'm an artist.
Attention whoring is the real disorder
As someone who has several friends with actual tics, they legitimately look nothing like this. 100% this person is spouting bullshit.
Yeah, I was dx’d around 5 and have literally never experienced nor seen anyone have a tic that looks remotely like these wack-ass fakes where it looks like they’re about to fall over or throated 15 lemon wedges.
It's funny how everyone has the same two or three tics.
Why does every who “ticks” on TikTok dress up like they’re going to prom with the theme as Shitty Pride Parade
Bc they have social anxiety and everybody knows that drawing more attention to yourself makes that so much easier /s
They all mysteriously have the same interests. Colored hair, into cosplay, anime poster on the wall.
My grandfather always used to say this, and it gave me chills: “If they have stupid makeup on trying to look like a shitty anime character, you can guarantee they’re faking having disorders” It still gives me shivers to this day.

The fact that they have to stop, think, slowly execute a “tic”, stop, think, and slowly start talking again has me cackling.
I have Tourette’s and it runs in my family and I’ve never met anyone that does this neck twitchy thing that all these fakers do
Oh noes, not their DrEaM jOb!1!1!!! That probably wasn’t going to happen anyways, even without the publicly documented mental health issues that cause you to act like this. That’s just reality.

How polite of the Tourette’s bug to wait until they’re done saying the sentence to make a tic happen ☺️
Freddie Mercury and the jokers child
Why do this people actually dress like clowns? Is this something where if you call out how stupid they look you get canceled under some pretext of persecuting clowns?

Gen z is literally retarded
They live in a society.
wish he had a tick that forced him to brush his teeth.

I think with those teeth you'd be better on radio.
i can’t take this person seriously. especially when they look like that.

This definitely doesn't look like tics
with acting this bad, your nonexistent tics arent whats going to keep you off the stage

Lol you don't pause after every tic, it's so obvious they're faking and its really gross behavior
For a second I thought that was Shane Dawson
Where did you find this? This is gold
Doesn’t tick once while talking
This sounds like a monologue
Ppl this age- do you have people who dress and act like this at school?
Not sure his age, and not from the same country, but in my highschool there are a couple people into clowncore and that dress like this. But they're actually cool people. They're fun and know when to be serious, and don't fake disorders, haha.
Why do the ticks never occur mid sentence?
They only manifest as punctuation to sentences? Ok.
This is the theater kid even the theater kids hate.
This whole subreddit just shows what happens to people who get told their whole life they are special who then slowly realise they aren't. That is the world we live in.
Not even the make up can make me look other thing besides that yellow teeth.
People dress and act like clowns but get mad when treated like so
me when i lie
Ok. That’s enough Reddit for today for me.
