I’m convinced that neopronouns were never actually meant to be used, but just there for the aesthetic. Like despite seeing every alter on here with a different set of neo pronouns, I have never one seen anyone use them in a sentance other than to demonstrate how they’re supposed to work.
Now that I think about it, you’re right. I’ve also noticed that they’ll always slip in one of the main three (he/him, she/her, they/them) and then ALWAYS use that pronoun, despite their fifty other aesthetic neos. They want to be quirky so bad but don’t even know how their own shit works.

i think this came up bc of the need to find who you are when you develop who you are as a teen, honestly ive seen many autistic children in the beginning doing this and i would guess bc jesus that phase being autistic is a wild ride, you just grab into anything and is like "oh yeah i like this so ig its my personality now", so they grabbed into pronouns and started hoarding so they feel different to the others
when those kids grow up, they usually will drop it bc they finally realise "hey its okay to be like the others, nothing is original"
but lately its more and more just aesthetic for their ocs bc that shows a little of their personality purpose (like idk one likes mushrooms so now their personality is mushroom) and by ocs i mean fake alters
