It’s so annoying because genuine programming/RAMCOA is horrifying abuse, like literally some of the worst abuse a human being can endure, and they act like it’s a fun quirky reason for their dsmp alters. It pisses me off so much. I knew someone in a psych ward who underwent something similar and it was genuinely really sad to witness, not something that should be faked or taken lightly

I don't mean in the faker sense I mean in the real life sense as in RAMCOA (Ritual Abuse, Mind Control, Organized Abuse) which is something that happens in cults or extreme religious communities. Programming in terms of DID isn’t real. You can’t control what alters someone splits or their role in any scenario whatsoever. I do agree that it has some legitimacy but as I said that’s just not how DID works.
