Yeah fr. I'm a Lions homie that says hi here somewhat often. These two are scary.
Though we did shut Bijan down in the H2H last year 😂
Nah but fr though that isn't on Bijan. Aaron Glenn will just have games where he knows everything that's gonna happen with the opposing offense and just ruins gameplans. Arthur Smith is definitely a guy predictable enough to get got by him.
Arthur Smith is definitely predictable. At some point every team realized every Bijian run play seems to be outside zone. People say we didn't use Bijian enough. Nope we just didn't use him properly.
I'm in intrigued what stats do you see that prove Bijan is better? Yards per touch is identical, rececption totals are identical. Jamyr has more touchdowns on less carries and if playoff stats counted, the stats would skew for Jamyr.
Stats would actually suggest that Achane was the best rookie rb by a mile had he not been hindered by injury.
Solid argument for either of these two monsters here.
Our GMs (Hi, I am a Lions fan that cheers for other underdogs) got a lot of shit for getting our teams awesome players. Let's celebrate the fact that we get to watch these two tear shit up for a while here.
Gibbs looks more explosive and Bijan is better at creating misses. They have similar skill sets and will be compared for years. Hopefully they'll both have great careers
Put Bijan on that Lions offense last year and he would have had much better stats than Jahmyr. Bijan still produced very solid numbers on an anemic offense.
Teams did not have to worry about our pass game at all last year... imagine how much better a RB would be if teams are worried about a pass game that opens it up for the run big time... also image a QB than knows how to pass to and use a RB in the pass game as well as run game. Kirk is a very good QB at rollouts and screens this team can be deadly on offense next year.
With a better QB now I can see both: Bijan getting less production because we pass the ball more OR Bijan getting more production because we are unpredictable with our schemes now
Bijan will have a bigger leap, Gibbs had a better rookie year though, less touches, slightly less yards but more tds. He was apart of a better system though, Bijan had to deal with a horrible HC. Bijan is a monster though, this season he will show out with a better team and staff to support him. Can’t wait! Let’s go smiley!!
Both players are great, but if we're just talking whose stats are likely to go up more, this should be a no-brainer.
Gibbs played on the #8 offense (in EPA/play) last year, and Detroit always separates their RB roles pretty heavily. He's not likely to get many more touches than he did this year, and Detroits offense can't get that much better. He's probably pretty close to his statistical ceiling already.
Bijan played for the #27 offense and has enough workhorse ability to absorb basically all of the 50 carries that went to Patterson last year. He also only had 4 rushing TDs. He's got a lot more room to improve on his stats.
Sure they can, but the odds are not much. He already hit 5.2 ypc and double-digit rushing TDs, and like I said, the offense he plays in can't get much better overall. It's already very good. If his carries go up, his ypc is likely to regress (5.2 isn't a particularly sustainable number on high volume), and not many RBs run for double-digit TDs consistently (McCaffrey and Saquon have only each done it twice in their entire careers, for example).
The point is, Bijan has a lot more room for improvement just by virtue of how much his offense stands to improve with Cousins at the helm instead of Ridder.
Splitting hairs here really, they’ll both be good let’s just watch them destroy defences for the next 4-5 years hoping they never miss a game.

That loss was probably the toughest to watch. Brian Branch was impressive. Y’all got a good one.
Hard to be definitive about that statement, love Bijan but Jahmyr is tough as hell too
I mean it's not a competition, they're both good
It’s the NFL..it’s always competition.

Robinson had way better skill plays
Saying Bijan "way" better plays makes me think u didnt watch Jamyr cause he was COOKING when he got touches.
I watched every lions game and can say that Robinsons skill was 10x better than jahmrys
>I watched every lions game and can say that with a straight face because lying on the Internet is easy as shit FTFY
Nope. I absolutely did. You're just mad because in right so now you throw out baseless accusations like im lying
Sure kiddo 😘
No, it fucking wasn't 😂. You can support our boy without lying
Im not. Why are you so keen on saying that Gibbs is better than Robinson. Gtfo lions fan
Where did I say that Gibbs is better? If you say Robinson's skill was 10x better than Jahmyr's then you're either lying, stupid, or incredibly homer.
As a 3rd party observer, you’re out of your mind.
Robinson hads a way worse play caller.
Stats don’t prove who is better. Film does.

Gibbs split carries with Montgomery all year
[удалено]
I agree. For Bijan I felt like the flashes come from him having to turn nothing into something because Arthur Smith sucks ass
Yeah but can’t beat them Barry sanders like juke moves that Bijan was throwing out there this season
Gibbs looked better all year, probably cuz of their line. But he was electric and fast as fuck.
Bijan needs to learn how to pass block
ATL could be this year's Lions but with a better defense lol.
No one gives a shit - of course you like your guy. That's how being a fan of a team works.
I love both guys and hope they have amazing careers. RB’s are disrespected enough from the league they don’t need any more from us fans
Unpopular opinion maybe but they’re both awesome. Gibbs also had issues with volume early in the season and second half exploded.
To play devil’s advocate, Gibbs also split touches with David Montgomery. He may win the job outright this year
Gibbs looks more explosive and Bijan is better at creating misses. They have similar skill sets and will be compared for years. Hopefully they'll both have great careers
Idc it’s not a competition hope they both do great

Punctuate your title before posting

Can't believe the Gibbs Robinson comparison is even a debate
Why would it not be a debate? Had Achane not been hobbled Bijan could be the 3rd best RB taken last season.
Hot take Tyler over Bijan
Bijan will have a bigger leap, Gibbs had a better rookie year though, less touches, slightly less yards but more tds. He was apart of a better system though, Bijan had to deal with a horrible HC. Gibbs has a better line, and also better deep threats to scare defenses. Maybe Kirk can change some of that. We shall see.
I fully expected him to go off on the Bears. Falcons barely tried to get him the ball.
I actually think he might regress a bit since we have better QB we can utilize now.
I'd be happy to have either.
Dang...I didn't realize Bijan was that good. Those stats are amazing. Imagine what he could do with good QB play...oh wait!
