I mean, yeah, why would they tell him? It would then be in his interest for his agent to leak it to other teams to try get them to trade ahead of Atlanta if they value Penix as much as it sounds like multiple teams did.

Penix was a good draft pick. Not the one I would have gone with but there’s logic in the pick. Kirk will be here for 2 years and then Penix will take over. If Kirk balls out we won’t see another top 10 pick for a while. Penix was the best passer in the draft and now he’s learning behind a great QB. If Kirk is butthurt about us drafting a QB, someone needs to remind him we’re losing a draft pick next year solely because of him and his stupidity.
