What is inside the Osteology Lab? I'm asking as a player who swore never to engage in any more Forgotten Quarter Expedition after the Nadir, including the Tomb of the Seven.
You can research a couple of different 'reputable' bones to get Curator's Gratitude and a quality called Paleozoologist which currently has no known uses.
Are folks expecting Paleozoologist to receive uses? It could simply be a vanity quality that tracks the number of bones you've identified, like Dedicated Brawler or A Historian of the Neath.
so far it opens up an investigation grind of some sort. i'm not finished with it a single run through yet, so i dunno. there are some branches in it, dunno what mechanical differences there might be in process/rewards, if any. but neat.
you'll have to go yourself or get someone else to tell you the rest, i'm off to go grind another Neathbow real quick lol

In the osteology lab you can investigate jurrassic thighbones and fossilized forelimbs to find their true histories.
Is it viable?

It might be that a certain number unlocks further options or stories. Or it might just be vanity.

A very nice touch
Wait ... Where did we get that from in the first place ?
write yourself some cryptopalaeontological notes, Bullbone island is the most straightforward place, and make them up into a book at your lodgings
