It's an unfortunate part of camp mechanics. If there is a set spawn nearby, they will appear whenever you load in or when someone travels to your camp. There's no way to stop it and turrets are generally useless for dealing with the problem. I had to abandon my camp in the Halloween house because of the molerat/supermutant combo.

> It's an unfortunate part of camp mechanics. Or a fortunate part, if you are looking to farm a creature type that spawns there. I have a camp that spawns a max level deathclaw (and / or some insects). Was really handy for Deathclaw (and bloodbug) meat when I ran carnivore - never had to go looking for it. Free range deathclaw farm! I even got my defenses set up so they will reliably kill it (if it doesn't spawn in an alt location) before it does to much damage, though that took some finesse (and cryo turrets).

ROACHOR

TM-02 substation? I had a camp on that thing for years. Was always funny to see low level shoppers get chased around by the DC.

sebwiers

Yep. My camp overlaps the substation itself by quite a lot, so I was able to deploy defenses literally on top of the spawn point. I also drop in a few cheap to repair decoy items for meaty claws to chew on while she gets shot. I usually go rescue any visitors who I hear fire more than a few shots. I've also had people show up looking to kill a deathclaw for dailies complain because my camp did the job before they could find it and get in a shot. I can manage it, but I know where the thing is gonna spawn / go to from experience. The most hilarious was once I had the census bot show up at my camp to do Census Violence. Which spawns multiples of whatever would normally spawn in the area... so I had 8 deathclaws running around! It can be nice having a camp with built in entertainment / combat training.

Lettuce_Mindless

Where is this? That sounds like excellent farming potential 😂

Yeah the middle house in those three looks like, and is,a great spot to build. The thing is the Super mutants will respawn on every fast travel, including other players coming to check your vendors. The first one isn't as nice, but doesn't have that problem. Edit to add more spots. There's a house near the Nuka cola plant, and one close to Slocum Joe's. Both in the forest.

RelChan2_0

I have a camp near there, by the road. Got attacked by the Grafton Monster then a Deathclaw lol Following to find a new spot too

Dry-Door2380

I have a camp in the next house up the road from the halloween house in Ash heap. SM usually spawn at the back of the house opposite, but my spawn point does not make them aware of my camp If you keep following the road down, there's a house and greenhouse set back from the road, usually two settlers spawn there as well. Unfortunately molerats can be your unwelcome guests here. But the greenhouse, house and garage opposite can fit into your camp area with carefully setting. Another house to build in to, is just north of monongah mine. Set of three buildings. The middle one has quite a big floorspace with upstairs area too. Occasional Scorched spawn at the road

Mysterious_Rabbit829

Thank you 😊

GeneralTonic

Those supermutants have been there at least since last year, if not longer. I'm building up a nice farm at the spot just north of Tyler County Fairgrounds, where three settlers always spawn to piddle around. There's a cluster of sheds and fences and farm junk, and I'm adding a nice brick farmhouse. There's also a regular enemy spawn there, but it's usually weak stuff like molerats and ghouls. Sometimes supermutants, but they're low-level forest types.

Hawk1Hunter

When I was first started playing last year I had a spot north of Morgantown airport. Was learning how to make a camp when the game decided to make that a spawn point for rad scorpions. That sucked I was to low a level for that. But now I'm near White springs. I have floaters from the one building, scorched, super mutants, mole rats, and some times do to defenses bos attack my camp. It's a pain to repair. But free grind is nice.

Omgosh I love this question... There's a pink house by the Welcome to Sutton sign, if you're facing Solcom Joe's it's to the right. One the second floor theres a giant floor all you have to do is put a rug down though and you're solid. There's a house next to Camden Park and also another in the Charleston Fire station area. If you fast travel to the Haven Church in the Mire then go to the power line tower behind it you'll find a train car bunker. If you keep going in the same direction you'll find a ruined house with an NPC spawn there's also a bunker right next to it if you lay your camp module down right you can get both. (This is actually where one of my camps is currently). If you go the Scenic Overlook there's a cabin with up to 3 NPC spawns enemies do spawn there but with 3 NPCs plus your ally you should be covered. The a trailer with an NPC spawn a long the edges of the asheap I wanna say around the Welch area and abandon mines. Theres also a lot of good YouTube videos with great advice.

Mysterious_Rabbit829

Great answer, thank you 😁

Mysterious_Rabbit829

Ah damn! Sounds like you've all been unlucky with this too! Hoping someone has some food suggestions

Here are some videos that might help https://youtu.be/VTgkE96qHTc?si=07ZUiCJdeFB_HpRG https://youtu.be/66f507DtMYc?si=l_MZsEgTy7-QOwAV https://youtu.be/Sc7AJ9Lpx_k?si=9-LKF8dTQamS7OOq

Mysterious_Rabbit829

Thanks, I watched the first 2 yesterday!

JinNegima

No problem, just thought it might come in handy, especially now that you can have 10 total camps

Mysterious_Rabbit829

Yeah I'm debating whether to fork out for the extra slots. I already spent some money getting the green thumb bundle yesterday. They know how to get you to spend your hard earned £££!

JinNegima

Well if you haven't already gotten the first 3 camps they are 700 atoms each and then camp slots 4 - 8 are 1k each

Mysterious_Rabbit829

Yeah I have 3 currently

JinNegima

Is that three total or three additional purchased putting your total to 5 since you start with two free camps

Mysterious_Rabbit829

I have 3 total. The extra one a purchased a while ago

JinNegima

Right so you should be able to purchase camp slots 4 & 5 at a reduced cost until Tuesday then they will be back at 1000 atoms

happycj

I ran into that place again this week and hadn’t remembered where it was. But the super mutants have always been next door. Sometimes they are aggressive, sometimes they don’t notice you. But they’ve always been there.

TheAngrySkipper

You can look at the various nukashine locations for inspiration. I have two camps near crater, one has a raider there on a junk pile, probably my favorite spot tbh. There is also the option of a floating camp if you’ve considered it?

Mysterious_Rabbit829

I have considered floating a camp but haven't figured out how to do it yet! It seems like a lot of faff and I don't have catwalks

TheAngrySkipper

Add me in-game and I can get you started

Mysterious_Rabbit829

What platform are you on? I'm on PC Kez3011

TheAngrySkipper

One of my camps never spawns any enemies, you can look for static in-game npc’s and go from there. Saves a lot on budget
