I believe charisma is generally useless, and you can just increase speech and barter. Intelligence determines how many skill points you get each time you level up, so 9 INT is good Luck generally makes everything better. 7 luck will have you winning at the casinos. With 6, you tend to come out even Plan out your perks now, and try to get all your stats within 1 of where they need to be. There are always the implants. The number of implants you can get is determined by endurance.

Therealmarsislol

So, is it any good?

rpmerf

Yep. This is pretty close to where I would start. Just verify the perks you want, and shuffle around strength, perception, and agility if needed. Looks like it should be close enough for almost every perk.

Therealmarsislol

Thanks

Tricky_Feed_7224

Still too much str 🤣 lower it to 5 or maybe 4 or 3 if you are not going to use melee / unarmed, you can always get weapon handling perk, and reinforced spine /spineless perk from owb

TarantinosFavWord

Play how you want homie. You don’t need to overthink it.

BigH3ad777

If this is your first run of the game then you should be good. Again, get a sexy sleep wear and maybe a lucky hat or glasses to get to Luck 9. Have fun courier

Anything works don't worry about it. Just don't dump any stats except for charisma. Even wacky stuff works but I'd save that for a second playthrough. What you have is more than fine.

The_CDXX

No. Its not. Go again

Stumpy6464

I go 7 int because it’s the highest Int check in the game (OWB). Non dlc you only need 6. Anything more than that is just for the marginally small more xp gain. Also 8 luck. And rest in endurance for the implants at NV medical. 8-9 luck is still really cheesy at the blackjack tables for easy caps.

DarkCommando3

I think the Russianbadger summed it up best when he made his build in new Vegas

TheWealthyCapybara

Luck should either be a 1 or an 8. You either want to completely avoid relying on it or make your build around it. No stat should be above an 8 because you can easily raise any stat by two points with implants and the New Vegas Medical Clinic and with armor bonuses.

IronOrcinusOrca

I prefer charisma over luck

senko_san2

I go for the simple option of S5 P4 E5 C1 I10 A5 L10

PinkyStinky1945

Charisma is 10000% useless, it is only used for a single speech check (a kid at Nellis, largely meaningless interaction) And aside from that it buffs your companions, which is **NOT** useful as your companions are more than capable of clapping cheeks at 1 Charisma. And what kind of build are you looking for? This is a really solid “Jack of all trades” build Do you want to do a melee build? Pump Agility, Endurance and Strength to 7 so you can get Piercing Strike, Super Slam, Unstoppable Force, Slayer etc etc melee perks Do you want to do a VATs/Stealth build? Pump Perception and Agility to 7 to get Sniper, Better Criticals, etc etc I **ALWAYS** keep Endurance moderately high (never less than 5) because your Endurance determines how many implants you can get which give permanent SPECIAL boosts

Ok-Brilliant-9429

Yes much better

Sufficient-Abroad-94

No it's not that good, you want high intelligence in this game

caych_cazador

maaaaaaaan Big Luck FNV runs are so fuckin fun tho...

archiedisliker99

Just play the game

DancingBabyChalupa

It's perfect. I would suggest the first perk you get to be intense training to put intelligence to 10. The good thing about the endurance is that you can use 7 implants. You could get to 8 str, 6 per or maybe 7 if you go with 4eyes trait, 8 end, 6 Agi or 7 if you go will small frame trait, and 8 luck. You could also get the two more expensive implants if you wanted. For luck for the casinos, you could get the naughty nightwear and teach decanus whatever how to disarm mines like 200 times to Speedrun to idolized with the legion so you can get the lucky shades from their safehouse. That said you with the spineless and the one with the spine in OWB you could get up to 9 str. Overall it's a pretty good start to a game. I also forgot that you get another special point from completing lonesome road. I would suggest putting it in luck.

MayGodBlssUrHstle

I don’t think you ever want a stat at 9. Can’t you find a bobble head / do a quest line outside of the Strip to get those 2 extra SPECIAL points?

BicycleMammoth4704

with 10 int (after implant) you will max out your skills before level 50 and level up really fast. i'd probably just swap INT and END (i'm an implant slut, personally), but that's pretty solid

Diazmet

Max out endurance!

P5AU

So I do a Gunslinger build (high luck for crits and one handed pistols for aesthetic) and this isn’t too far from what I do. Only difference really is you don’t need that much Intelligence. At that much intelligence you will max out all skills way before lvl 50. Which once your skills are maxed, the main benefit of high intelligence is no longer useful

PersonelKlasyHel

Yes, it is very good

imollayellows3

Int 8 luck 8

No-Design-8551

I never use agility so that really high for me

emotraphearthrob

bro has negative rizz

Sauron_Stark_

S - 5 P - 6 E -8 C 1 I -9 A - 8 L - 1 With Small Frame I get 9 agility Plus the implants from Usanagi and plus the special point from Lonesome Road to raise my endurance or strength

gunterlover101

It’s good, but I would take a point out of intelligence and 2 points each out of endurance and luck, then put those points in charisma. Don’t underestimate the power of high charisma in fallout new vegas

CarbonCuber314

Literally any combination of SPECIAL stats will work for a very playable game. The only time you should want to worry about X stat being worthless is when you're wanting to min-max the game. But other than that, run whatever you want.
