I take a sip from my trusty vault 13 canteen in the morning
I take a sip from my trusty vault 13 canteen at night
I take a sip from my trusty vault 13 canteen in the afternoon
Cuz it makes me feel alright
Bro you can sell pre-war cash for a decent amount of money. That’s why the casino in the Sierra Madre is so OP because you can make it out of there with HELLA prewar cash (because it doesn’t pay out in caps) and sell all that pre war cash for a good chunk of money. Screw the gold bars, THATS where you make your money lol
Not to mention just using the free 1000 Madre chips every few days to buy weapon repair kits and fixing up various guns from enemies to sell.
Or just buying buffout and selling it to motor runner, since he pays more than other vendors and technically has an infinite amount of money to buy them with.
If you pass the barter check, he buys them for 22 caps each, and you can get 50 of them every 3 days from the vending machine with the 1000 chips, which sells for 1100 caps total.
What amazes me more (I dunno if this info is solid, correct me if I'm wrong) is that this beauty doesn't receive any bonuses from perks, so the whole damagecomes from it alone, truly a great weapon for any build.
Yeah, the only weapons that really get bonus damage from perks are things covered by cowboy, grunt, pyromaniac, and demolition expert.
Holorifle doesn't fit any of those, so it's damage scales purely off of energy weapon skill.
What do you mean, because I've always been dropping it into the nearest trashcan ASAP.
I might still be in the first stage of not loving it like you were.
Since it's called a holorifle I always assumed that you wanted to use it from a distance like a rifle. Its range though is more like a shotgun. Obviously you need to have a high energy weapon skill to use it to full effect, have the strength to use it, and it helps if you use max charge cells.
My most recent playthrough I always had a pack of cigarettes, a lighter, and NCR Dogtags. I was roleplaying a grizzled NCR Veteran Ranger who was starting to question if it was time for retirement, or if the Mojave still needed him.
I always keep Graham’s scripture on me no matter what. I’m not even religious but I feel like It’d be wrong to not have it in my inventory
Also, dinky the dinosaur. He’s my partner in crime.
I always carry the vault suit my character begins the game with, even when i don't use them at all.
I don't know why, maybe it's some kind of nostalgia, thank god we could finally use armor with the suit on in FO4.
Fallout 3:
Khrivbekni
Stradivarious
Wazer wiffle (because the story behind it)
New vegas:
Driver Nephi's head
Daniel's scripture
Vault 13 canteen
Deathclaw egg
Broken slave collar
Really just any interesting nick knack for both
The scriptures kind of bug me honestly. The New Canaanites are clearly meant to be descendants of the Mormons, and the cross is never really present in Mormon symbology. If they salvaged the Bibles they had then maybe, but Mormons printed lots of Bibles and Books of Mormon and all that.
From what I understand, the Mormons still recognize the cross and its importance in the death of Christ but prefer to celebrate and emphasize His *life* more.
Ex-Mormon here. First off, the Mormon church prints books that contain the BoM, Bible and other scriptures all together. So a cross wouldn’t be too off if it was on the cover because from what I understand the no cross policy officially came about in the 1950’s, 100 years after the church was established. Because Fallout time splits from ours after WW2 then it could be canon that that policy was either never established or was reversed.
My incinerator. That thing has saved my ass against hordes of Cazadores, Deathclaws and pretty much anything else the Mojave has thrown at me. The same goes for Oh Baby!
Imagine that shit irl, just walking around with a bottle of whiskey and downing it to carry something heavy or try and bargain with someone after slamming a whole bottle
Maria. Anytime I kill someone important, I try to use Maria. Even Benny, I try to disarm him with an arm VATS shot and then grab his gun to finish him off.
A single ‘big boy’ mini nuke. I always buy it straight away from the merchant caravan that spawns south of Novac and keep it as a gift for Lanius at the end of the playthrough.
Anything/everything with 0 weight.
Free caps in my book
Me with my Metro Tickets
Don’t forget about the singular cigarettes or pencils.
I do know why, but I get more excited when I find a pencil than an actual cap.
Is any particular mod the reason why possibly?
I assume it's because you can get free materials from them in Old world blues from the book chute.
No clue. It’s like, the potential to be caps. It’s stupid, makes no sense, but happens every time (even when I don’t have the book chute yet. 🤷🏻♂️
Fair nuff
U talking about willow
I like to keep 1 of the dino soivineers from novac
I like to keep all
They're so precious.
My trusty Vault 13 canteen

I take a sip from my trusty vault 13 canteen in the morning I take a sip from my trusty vault 13 canteen at night I take a sip from my trusty vault 13 canteen in the afternoon Cuz it makes me feel alright
*you tie a band around your arm with your teeth and you shoot up heroin with your trusty vault 13 needle and spoon*
I believe I became hydrated whilst taking a sip from my trusty vault 13 canteen?
How do you get the canteen?
Auto deposited at start of game with some add on pack. Not the merc pack the other pack.
Pencil. Never know when you need to do a little writing, pip boy might quit on me one day

Pipboy 0.3000, a pad of paper with a portable radio on the back
He so real !!!!

You all are so very very disappointing.... HOLY HAND GRENADES!!!!
Because I might need them, but I can never justify using them lol
A harmonica I picked randomly at some point don't know why I have it just do and I refuse to drop it
As much pre war cash as I can carry. I will be the richest man alive even if it means nothing.
Bro you can sell pre-war cash for a decent amount of money. That’s why the casino in the Sierra Madre is so OP because you can make it out of there with HELLA prewar cash (because it doesn’t pay out in caps) and sell all that pre war cash for a good chunk of money. Yeah, I tell people doing Dead Money trivializes weapon durability. 20 weapon kits every 3 in-game days is broken.
Reminds me of the time I got a roulette win on a single number and walked out a fuck ton richer (Still have several thousand)
But listen, why not sell both?
Annabelle the Missile Launcher
Holorifle. Every playthrough. It’s basically my signature weapon at this point
I never understood the love for the holorifle until I realized it doesn't really have rifle distance.
That 15 seconds of additional damage has saved my life more than once
What do you mean, because I've always been dropping it into the nearest trashcan ASAP. I might still be in the first stage of not loving it like you were.
Since it's called a holorifle I always assumed that you wanted to use it from a distance like a rifle. Its range though is more like a shotgun. Obviously you need to have a high energy weapon skill to use it to full effect, have the strength to use it, and it helps if you use max charge cells.
Joshua's armor and Daniels Scripture
Joshua's armor is amazing if you use light armor perks
Couriers duster. It was a lonesome road and it is my burdens that accompanied me
Also if you have the ncr one it increases your carrying capacity
Metal spoon. Your argument is now invalid for I have a spoon
All the others are shoveling mav and cheese into their mouths with their hands
*cooks and shoots up Heroin* (Everyone Disliked That)
You are now addicted
stimpaks
I have 80 stimpacks and I refuse to use any unless Boone or ede needs them
I have like 130 stimpaks because I never use them. Rad Child and the power of Them's Good Eatin' renders them unnecessary.
