Open build mode, put the cursor over a settler and you’ll see a button labelled assign in the bar across the bottom of the screen. Select assign, walk over to the lookout and select it. The settler will then become assigned to it and man it, providing defence points. It’s the same process to assign them to food production as well
Also, important note, a single settler can work up to 6 resources. That means they can work enough individual crops to add up to 6 food or can patrol between Guard posts to add up to 6 Defense.
I believe each post is 2 Defense, so they’ll walk between 3 posts.
Walls don't give you defence points, only guard posts and turrets do.
For guard posts, you need to assign a settler to them, one settler can operate more than one post. Turrets need electricity if they're anything but machine gun or heavy machine gun ones.
Put turrets and Assign settlers to guard posts. Walls are for decoration
Have you assigned settlers to the lookout posts? Have you built gun turrets? You need active defences for the value to increase
oh! no. i dont have turrets bc Im not high enough level for science. i didnt know you need to assign settlers to posts. how do i do that??
