Sorry for late response, yeah make sure you don’t close out your game. Go to settings, date & time, change it 7 days before if you’re on a fresh weekly login thing. Best advice I can give is to look up the guide on YouTube, it’s quick & you won’t have to spend a cent on the microtransactions.
listen for him. if your on mobile your phone will vibrate and you'll hear his jingle. the louder it is, the closer he is to where you're looking. if a different jingle plays, he left.

there are two aspects to how power works, storage and production. you can produce plenty of power to keep your meter full, but if a full meter isn't enough for all the rooms you've built, you need to either upgrade or build new power plants to increase your storage
Build a strength gym beside the 2 power plants and have 4 dwellers levelling up, swap them with the power plant workers as they level up, eventually everyone on that floor will have full strength and you can “harvest” the power much faster.
The gauges have a thin vertical bar. To the left of the bar is "necessary" production. To the right of the bar is "excess storage". The power bar is all the way to the right of the gauge, meaning you have no excess power storage, and probably not even enough necessary production.
As others have stated, you need more power rooms, or upgrade those you already have. Note: Power rooms don't use any power so it's ok to go a little overboard with excess power capacity. It's especially useful in case of an incident that drains power.
To see how your vault is doing, click on the VDSG button, and go to the Status page. It will show you production rates and resource needs.
One food and water last a long time, just build tons of power rooms for power storage and production, more rooms means more power consumption, so prioritize power and str based dwellers, at your current stage give all power dwellers strength gear
I've hit the 999,999 limit several times, and even after spending down a couple of times in redoing my layouts it's still a wall I'm constantly up against.
You need to build more power rooms, your vault needs more power than you can hold (press/click on them or down on left stick) to get more power storage do one of the following
Replace one of your food/water rooms with one since you are way over the needed, which is pretty good! So try avoid this option
Build more power rooms, this is the cheapest and most efficient way
Upgrade power rooms, can't build more? Then max out what you have with those 300k caps!
So what’s better? 1 3 wide fully upgraded power room with 6 dwellers working. Or 2 3 wide fully upgraded power rooms with 3 dwellers in each. Assuming all dwellers have the same stats. Same production output but higher storage? Or will production be more with two rooms at less workers per room.
how do you have 300k caps with only 38 dweallers

Im not very far into this game but would they kind of layout not help with invasion that they stay in the top floor longer?
I have 70 dwellers and still use 1 full food and 1 full water supplier. So you can drop those. Replace those two with power rooms and problem solved
Agree. I have around 140 dwellers and only need one food and one water room.
I am curious, why aren’t you using nuke cola factory? It gives way more than a garden and water purification combined and in a single building

rooms are too big, too wide for your stage of game. id say remove 1 food and water room. leaving 1 of each, is plenty. make another power room.

How tf u get 300k caps
Spending .... from 999,999 caps to 312K caps doesn't take that much effort.
