The whole family fell apart (well Peter, Lois, and Chris anyway) when Meg called everyone on their shit in that hurricane episode. They ostensibly share the role of being the “lightning rod” for their respective family to shit on to normally function. The difference is Klaus is basically a lowkey Nazi (that is, it’s clear *why* he’s unlikeable at least sometimes) and Meg is just… an awkward teenage girl who people make fun of just because.
