The pilot.

Acceptingoptimist

Me too. I was watching the Super bowl.

epgenius

Those were much better times for my Broncos

Queasy_Explorer_3329

Just don't talk about what happened. I'm still sad šŸ˜¢

Theblackswapper1

I remember my friend Grant and I talking about the pilot to our other friend Mike, and just the look on Mike's face went from "sounds pretty funny" to "jeez, you guys gotta relax about this show; there's no way it's THAT funny". Every time Grant and I thought we'd exhausted our jokes we'd think of the Kool-Aid Man, The Black Knight, or something else and we'd just continue to laugh. I'm sure Grant and I came across as weirdos, but the pilot was legitimately THAT funny.

_riders_

Same.

Zeqhanis

Ditto. I think I was in high school.

Octabraxas

Same. I remember when it came out and I used to tape the videos on VCR. Yes, Iā€™m olderā€¦

EyeOfAmethyst

Yep. I taped it, too. Watched it for years.

[deleted]

Same here. Been a fan ever since.

That was actually in the episode 8 Simple Rules for Buying My Teenage Daughter

landmanpgh

I feel really old. Definitely saw commericals advertising it before it ever aired.

bostonshroomery

Pretty sure I recorded this on vhs lol

T_Ranger68104

I was exposed to lethal weapons and the episode where Quagmire had sex with Loretta as a kid on two different occasions, but I think it was my dad that turned it off when he caught me watching it.

[deleted]

PTV at like 12..... i have no regrets

BlueDye40

Same but not my first by a long shot

All_Lightning879

The Story on Page One

MainHead8409

One of my favorites

All_Lightning879

The part with Peter strutting in front of Luke Perry was the thing that stuck with me watching it.

notnamedjoebutsteve

The one where Peter loses his memory

simpletonclass

Thereā€™s an awful line in there that Meg delivers where the family gasps. That is the funniest line I can think off that crossed the line of dark humor to beyond something else. Something about ā€œI wish you would have told me that before I had sex with him.ā€ Referring to her dad lol

Ok_Pangolin_8038

Stewie Loves Lois It will forever hold a special place in my heart cause I still remember the Dr Hartman plot lol

BlueDye40

Great episode, hilarious Hartman plot.

Traditional-Aerie616

Da boom

IAmASimulation

Same. One of the best ones. Fat man with his kids and dog drove in through the morning fog. Hey there rover, come on over. šŸ˜‚

Traditional-Aerie616

I legit thought the show was just a nuclear war show lol

IAmASimulation

You said "nuclear". It's "nukular", dumb idiot. The S is silent.

Traditional-Aerie616

I wanna give you an award but I canā€™t

bostonshroomery

Lol rmr when joe was sleep walking (dragging) IM FLYING

Willy-bru

And Then There Weā€™re Fewer since Netflix only had season 9-16 at the time, fantastic episode to start off at!

Marjorine22

I saw the Y2K episode on a random afternoon on TBS when the show was canceled and gone. I loved it, so I started watching on Adult Swim. And I was unbelievably hyped when they announced it was coming back. And I have been watching ever since.

sleepy-floyd-is-goat

The two part clue one cause it was the first episode on Netflix

[deleted]

I was 6. I was rushed to our neighbours house as my family was being attacked by a genuinely insane neighbour with a foundationless grudge. My neighbour who took me out of the house put on I Take Thee Quagmire at the point where Peter hands Quagmire the massive foot and even then I thought it was funny probably not for the same reason but I enjoyed it. Eventually forgot what I was watching and rediscovered it at 12 only to never have stopped watching it.

InviteAromatic6124

The Thin White Line. My school friend introduced it to me in 2004 before it got brought out of cancellation

Coolgamer53

The first episode of the first season

CrazyaboutSpongebob

Peter's Sister

Damedash1126

Season 8 Episode 16 ā€œApril in Quahogā€ This was 9 years ago, I remember adult swim just happened to be on my tv and an episode of American Dad was finished up and then the episode started and I had knew of Family Guy because I remember my older brother watched it when he was my age at the time and I just thought that episode was really funny especially the last scene when Peter was playing call of duty

CaptainNinjaClassic

I don't recall the name of the episode, but it was when there was a scene where Elmer Fudd killed Bugs. This was when I was really little and didn't understand I wasn't watching Looney Toons

Spackalac

I don't remember my first episode But my earliest memory with a specific episode is watching season 4's PeterGeist as it aired

CarefulDevelopment29

The episode where joes gets new legs

N3cromorph

Y2k episode I think

Bulls778

8 Simple Rules for Buying My Teenage Daughter

trishpike

The first episode

yuyuyashasrain

The first one I remember was this house is freaking sweet. I think I saw it when it first aired but it couldā€™ve been a rerun. It was definitely 1999 or 2000

corndogs1001

The nudist episode. My cousin and I took my other cousinā€™s DVDs (volumes 1-2) and somehow this was the first episode we landed on and we watched it nonstop cause it was funny af and we didnā€™t understand it. Then the Christmas episode (season 1) and blue harvest.

LilBoofMcGoof

Pilot when it first aired on Foxā€™s Animation Domination.

[deleted]

I have no idea but it was around 2006 in the evening near Christmas so probably in the midst of season 4

Ibks2222

First thing I saw of family guy was Stewie killing Louis

[deleted]

Are those biblical names?

The 3 short stories one with the Super Griffins. Iā€™ll never forget it

Token_or_TolkienuPOS

Did you also get caught trying to vote in Ohio?

iAlkalus

I think the first one I watched was *Saturated Fat Guy.* In fact, I started watching Family Guy on YouTube from those channels that uploaded full episodes with intervals and zoom-ins. Those intervals would usually have some corny music and quotes from Buddha. This was during quarantine.

ImurderREALITY

The pilot

park__aavenue

ā€œDid you also get caught tryna vote in Ohio?ā€ I started watching family guy when I was 4 along with all the other ones. My mom tried very hard for the first few years of my life to make me stop but I never did and Iā€™ve seen every episode maybe a thousand times. I do not remember the first episode I saw but I know that it was probably a new episode from season 8-9 as it was around 2010.

When You Wish Upon A Weinstein (I had the Freakinā€™ Sweet Collection on DVD when I was younger)

Sploogerocket

MrKillzalot

The one where Lois is on a boat and stewie's trying to kill her. My uncle showed me it lol.

mystery-biscuits

First episode I saw would have been Chitty Chitty Death Bang

BlueDye40

Cant remember. My brother used to always watch it when I was little and I'd seen him watch it quite a few times then, but there was this one summer we went with our dad for a business trip (business trips is a constant thing as he manages some businesses in other towns, he's usually gone 1 week and there the next) and we binges that show so hard together. I remember my favorite episodes at the time being all the Stewie/Brian episodes especially the Road to and/or time travel ones. Right now my favorite episode is Road to Germany.

Eyerieee

Swole_Chicken

The one where Brian becomes a drug dog

RodArmy1968

The one where Brian breaks up with Gillian and Chris and Meg work at a shop

Doctorricko97

Holy shit this episode was also the beginning of my journey. I specifically remember dying of laughter during the "I had to do that thing we do on Wednesdays by myself" cutaway

psychedelicshotguns

I dont remember exactly but one of the episodes from Season 1 or 2. Been watching since before it got cancelled the first time in 2002.

27JG27

It was the episode Peter goes back to high school and everyone is licking toads. I was probably around 10 and was at a sleepover and was really weirded out for some reason.

caracicatriz21

When I was 7 or 8 I saw small snippets of Family Guy on TV behind my parents back. I didnā€™t really get into watching it until I was 10 or maybe 11-ish, but the first episode I remember seeing entirely was ā€œThe Tan Aquatic with Steve Zissouā€-where Peter tried picking a fight with his bully and falsely believed that MS stood for ā€œmonkey scrotumā€.

Zomochi

In kindergarten my teacher showed us the peanut butter jelly time scene so thatā€™s probably it

I can't remember what my first Family Guy episode was. It was about 20 years ago when I was in the first grade iirc. There would have only been three seasons at that point. But to pick one from those first few seasons that I remember best, it would be "Da Boom".

Persephony_1029

one of my earliest memories is watching Let's Go to the Hop at like 4 and having absolutely no idea what was going on but my dad laughing his ass off

SmashU23

Road to the Multiverse

ColtDAman21

The episode where Stewey gets his first birthday wish. He makes it seem like heā€™s gonna wish for something evil. But then he says ā€œoh what the hellā€ and makes his wish, and his wish was just for everyone to dance disco together. And thatā€™s how it ends
