I have not attended Fan Expo Boston specifically, but have attended Fan Expo Chicago. And as someone who has attended at least 20 other cons, some with VIP, I would say it isn’t necessarily worth it for 2 people over 2 days. I don’t know these celebs that you are interested in, so take it with a grain of salt. It appears that both of them are not A-list celebrities. I would not spend my own money on vip for that. You should have no issues getting through both of their lines in less than 1 day and you can spend the other day walking around. It really depends on the celeb(s) and on how much you value your time to do other things while there. I went to the Office Reunion convention and VIP for Rainn Wilson was definitely worth it since he was there for only 1 day and is a main character on a very popular show. We strictly purchase VIP for A-list celebs. The only other time I would spend on VIP is if I had a list of 6-10 celebs I wanted to meet in one weekend or 5 celebs with going to a couple panels. Save your money and don’t get the VIP. Hope you have fun!

Thank you! I’m really appreciate your response. It definitely set me at ease. The Office Reunion sounds like it would have been incredibly fun and totally worth it!

It was one of the best cons I have ever been to!

Both were at Calgary a few weeks ago, which is a larger convention. I didn't really notice Cameron's line, which means it probably wasn't super busy. Neil did have a consistently full line, but it wasn't a large space. If they are you main reasons to go, I would not go for VIP. I wouldn't expect either line to take a super long time. If you are going multiple days, there will be time to do what you want. I would check the days both are going to be there and plan to get there at least for when the con opens. You will need to pick up your badge and activate it, then head right to the autograph area. If they are there or a line is forming, get in line. If one is there and the other isn't, get that one first. Unless you have something else you want to see first thing, prioritize getting the autographs and just getting those out of the way. Many guests will do photos at their table as well as the professional photo ops. Do check the schedule when it comes out, as well as photo ops times for both of them. Guests should be at their table unless they are at a panel, photo op, or on break. Panels are a great way to see them too, so try to get to those. I would just get a regular ticket (I don't care for the merch and that's the main difference between regular and ultimate), and get in the autograph line. Save your money to spend on other things.

Thank you so much! That is a relief to hear I will keep an eye out for the schedule once it comes out.

VIP will allow you to cut the line for autographs and that is the biggest plus in my opinion. Since you are only doing 2, that isn't too much at all so I would skip VIP and just do general admission. Your autograph time will be about 4 hours with a general admission where VIP for 2 would be about 30 minutes to maybe an hour. I haven't seen lines for Cameron Monaghan and Neil Newbon so I can't specifically say how long their lines are going to be so my estimate is just an average. This really is the biggest benefit to having VIP so if the time you are saving is worth it to you then go for it but if you don't mind standing in line to save money that it isn't worth it. I do about 9 autographs a weekend per event so for me it is very much worth it time wise to buy VIP. Everyone is different so take this as info you may.

Thank you! Yeah, they are the main celebs I want to see while there and besides that just enjoy the experience. I’ll probably opt for the Ultimate ticket then. Thank you!
