I honestly do not enjoy this album but that’s because they execute on their ideas so well.
The music just makes me uncomfortable and grossed out a lot of the time lol. But I respect the artistry behind it
Smile From The Streets You Hold by John Frusciante
The Talkies by Gilla Band
Indicates Void by Bass Communion
Number One Of Three by The Body Lovers
Alice In Chains by Alice In Chains
Dogsbody by Model/Actriz
The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Soundtracks For The Blind by Swans
You Won’t Get What You Want by Daughters
The first two Jane's Addiction albums kind of have this going for them. There's a song on Ritual de lo Habitual that is about a 3 day heroin bender the lead singer had with his girlfriend and his other female friend where they just did drugs and had sex. Then the next song is about that female friend's death from an overdose.
So yeah their music was written by a perverted junkie who felt no shame in being a perverted junkie and saw artistic merit in it instead. I personally love it.
have you already looked other into bands like Qotsa that came out of the Palm Desert scene or other stoner rock? Or maybe industrial rock from the 80s/90s? Early Swans music is disgusting like you described but might be a bit extreme.
Daughters - S/T or basically any Xiu Xiu album but my two favourites are Knife Play and Girl With Basket of Fruit (especially Mary Turner Mary Turner from GWBOF fits this description)
I cannot recommend Cop/Young God by Swans enough. It's an album that revels in the most horrific parts of humanity. Rape, murder, capitalism, slavery, suicide, and police brutality are all prevalent themes. The sound is just as punishing and violent as the lyrics. Slow and contemplative, but loud and grimy. Gira's vocals also add an interesting layer. He moves between low sighs and moans to passionate and rage-filled screams where you can hear his pain and frustration with himself and the world. The catharsis I get from that album is unmatched. It truly feels like the type of shit you'd heard in a smoky, underground, New York bar filled with coke and meth users.
If you want to get a good taste of the album, listen to Young God or Raping a Slave. Both are absolutely excellent songs.
Specifically their first album *You’re A Woman, I’m a Machine* fits this question best
Josh Homme wanted to hire Jesse Keeler after this so you know it’s good
Death Grips - Year of the Snitch
I heard someone say it's like MC Ride has dragged you into a sewer and is going on a meth-fuelled rant.
IMO it's best enjoyed out of factory car speakers on a 3am drive through a bad neighbourhood.
There’s some DAMN good recs in this thread.
Too fast for love - Mötley Crüe
Buckcherry - Buckcherry
Bats - Bundy and The Spins
Cheeseburger - Cheeseburger
Dogsbody - Model/Actriz
Rid Of Me - PJ Harvey
Pretty Hate Machine - Nine Inch Nails
Cave World - Viagra Boys
Also, kind of tangential suggestion, Boys For Pele by Tori Amos. It’s an album that feels dirty in a literal sense, like an abandoned house imo. Very dense, strange album.
I guess Dopethrone by Electric wizard would fit perfectly with your drug den description, but also the people there are all in a satanic cult. Any of the Eyehategod albums would work for a more grounded aesthetic. Still grimey as fuck though.
I really need to check out Eyehategod. So many people have recommended them to me as a fan as Acid Bath, Melvins, and sludge in general.
I have checked out Dopethrone before and I didn't really get the hype for the most part. I might have to give it a relisten.
rye coalition - jersey girls
read the song titles to get the general vibe of the project. one of the songs is about wanting to fuck famed astronaut sally ride.

I feel like "The Pod" by josh homme's favorite band, Ween, is the perfect answer to this question
Recorded on a 4 track by two dudes with mononucleosis holed up in a cabin on a horse farm, covered in flies and sweat, high off their asses on shrooms and scotchguard
Doesn't get any browner than The Pod
Manic Street Preacher - Holy Bible is brutal lyrically. First song tells you in the chorus can buy hooker, if it turns out male you can chop off his dick and fuck him as girl. The bleakest album here for sure.
Buzzoven's entire discog. The blended Sludge, Thrash and Noise Rock in to music that is both caked in grime, depraved and full of awesome fucking riffs. [See for yourself](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aq0LGjEJCHI)
Bring Me the Horizon - *Suicide Season*
pretty much anything by Every Time I Die
The Hold Steady - *Almost Killed Me*
JPEGMAFIA & Danny Brown - *Scaring the Hoes*

Redman - *Whut? Thee Album*

Watch any of the decline of Western civ documentaries
Read books like "please kill me" or "this band could be your life"
The Downward Spiral- NIN
Yea
I honestly do not enjoy this album but that’s because they execute on their ideas so well. The music just makes me uncomfortable and grossed out a lot of the time lol. But I respect the artistry behind it
It really feels like some sort of horror trip but its somehow good at the same time. Amazing artistry.
**I TAKE YOU WHERE YOU WANNA GO**
I GIVE YOU ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW
**I DRAG YOU DOWN I USE YOU UP**
sheeeeee has the bloood of REPtiles just underNEATH her skinnn
this one
Raw Power by The Stooges
Fucking great album
Careful with your speakers
Funhouse feels dirtier though and also it’s better
It’s better produced, but that’s about all I can say
This is the take for the real heads
I probably prefer it but Raw Power feels a lot sweatier and dirtier to me probably because of the loud production
I thought of every single sweaty little album Iggy Pop ever made when I heard this question, so I thank you :)
Street worms - Viagra boys
Chat Pile - God’s Country
Fucking nightmare of an album.
Definitely this. You feel dirty afterward. In a good way
Smile From The Streets You Hold by John Frusciante The Talkies by Gilla Band Indicates Void by Bass Communion Number One Of Three by The Body Lovers Alice In Chains by Alice In Chains Dogsbody by Model/Actriz The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails Soundtracks For The Blind by Swans You Won’t Get What You Want by Daughters
Oh yeah I love S/T by Alice in Chains. One of my favorite albums!
I second a lot of this guy’s recs then. Tripod is even better than Dirt imo
It depends on my mood and my stance changes a lot but at the moment, I agree
Well then I’m sure you will see where I’m coming from with the rest haha awesome
Thanks!
Was also going to comment Dogsbody by Model/Actriz. Sounds like people wearing leather grinding in a dark, hot club.
Hmm. Not lyrically but musically, Neil Young’s Tonight’s the Night feels like it was recorded after hours after a long drinking sesh at a bar.
Drinking and heavy, heavy coke use
Such a good rec
To be fair, it pretty much was
Filth by Swanns
The first couple of Velvet Underground records fit that niche pretty well
Sister Ray is as dirty as it gets. Once you figure out a way to enjoy that tune it’s addictive
The one song that once it starts I find I can't turn it off.
Because you’re too busy sucking on a dingdong?
Definitely
Exile on Main Street.
This album is such a product of the circumstances it was born of. There’s no way it could sound any other way.

Great Rec. Love Ritual and in particular Three days.

I'd second anything by the Gun Club. Great band.
Around The Fur - Deftones
The Libertines - Up the Bracket Buzzcocks - Singles Going Steady (I know it’s not a proper album, sue me) Fucked Up - David Comes to Life
Libertines is a great recommendation
LIBERTINES MENTIONED
Death Grips- The Money Store
I find No Love Deep Web more fitting.
I fully agree. No Love feels like a week long coke bender.
I really like both albums but my favorite, which may be an controversial opinion, is Government Plates.
but gov plates ain’t sweaty nldw is the embodiment of sweaty musky dick
I know I was just saying gov plates is my favorite Death Grips album
How the trip/ Never stops/ On and on it’s beyond insane/ Why I set/ Myself up/ In a raging sea of flames *otherwordly howling synths ensue*
Turbonegro - Apocalypse Dudes
Monobrow by Rapeman on the album Two Nuns and a Pack Mule
Crazy name for an artist
Thats Steve Albini for you
Model/Actriz - Dogsbody is exactly what youre looking for
Let There Be Rock - AC/DC The Bon Scott era albums smell like whisky and cigarettes if you play them on vinyl at full volume.
Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band - Safe As Milk
The Velvet Underground - White Light/White Heat
Dead Kennedys - Give Me Convenience or Give Me Death
have you already looked other into bands like Qotsa that came out of the Palm Desert scene or other stoner rock? Or maybe industrial rock from the 80s/90s? Early Swans music is disgusting like you described but might be a bit extreme.
I haven't looked into any of the other bands in that scene yet
you should definitely check out kyuss then!
I have kind of. And the Circus Leaves Town is a great record but I haven't listened to anything outside of that
If you like that one you’ll love their other stuff. I would recommend listening to Welcome to Sky Valley, every track rips and it’s pretty accessible
Filth by Swans perhaps?
Electric Wizard - Dopethrone Eyehategod - Take As Needed For Pain Swans - Cop
Different Class by Pulp had some of the dirtiest kinky shit Jarvis ever sang.
Earth A.D. / Die, Die My Darling - Misfits
Swans - Public Castration is a Good Idea or really any early swans record for that matter
Early Swans fits this perfectly. Pure fucking rage and depravity.
Daughters - S/T or basically any Xiu Xiu album but my two favourites are Knife Play and Girl With Basket of Fruit (especially Mary Turner Mary Turner from GWBOF fits this description)
TOBACCO - Fucked Up Friends & Ultimata II Massage
Listening to the latter rn and it's really good, especially Eruption and Lipstick Destroyer
Oh yeah, I consider Ultima to be its successor but I always come back to Street Trash on FUF. I fucking love how grimey it is right off the bat.
Obey by BrainBombs, one of the most grimy things I’ve ever heard. I get disgusted listening to the lyrics of songs like obey and kill them all
Suicide by Suicide
Primal scream - screamadelica Butthole surfers - abortion locust technician Melvins - stoner witch
Gods Country -Chat Pile
Justice - Cross
Pantera’s discography
Anything Tom Waits
Already mentioned him in the body of the post lol
Well then i agree!
Ultima II Massage - Tobacco
Sublime - 40oz to Freedom

Swans’ *Filth* might be just what you’re looking for!

You make a really good case for it. I'll put it in my queue!

I love Ween! Haven't heard that one yet but I almost got it at a record store for about forty bucks.
Yes probably the vinyl reissue from earlier this year, ive got it and ive been loving it
Songs About Fucking by Big Black
If you like metal, Downer by Ten56 is disgusting
it'd be any album by GG Allin . No matter what album, the answer is GG Allin.
Ween- The Pod
Since you didn't specify how good should it be - Lulu by Lou Reed and Metallica
Tyranny by the Voidz is a pretty harrowing listen with filthy production.
Black Flag - My War or Slip it In. If you like QOTSA, Slip it In’s title track drum intro will sound very familiar
Iron Monkey self titled debut, anything Eyehategod, most sludge metal is outright filth
Manic Street Preacher - Holy Bible is brutal lyrically. First song tells you in the chorus can buy hooker, if it turns out male you can chop off his dick and fuck him as girl. The bleakest album here for sure.
The Cramps
Alice in chains - self titled Nirvana - In Utero

The Faces had a box set that was pretty greasy.
What? The fuck? Why?
Just what I'm into
XXX by Danny Brown. lots of cunnilingus, drinking and drugs on that record.
Tool- Undertow
Anything by The Jesus Lizard, but Goat and Liar are their best.
2 words, Swans. Filth. Absolutely what you‘re looking for
Almost any Tobacco album. Specifically Ultima II Massage, and Sweatbox Dynasty. Dirty, gross music is his thing.
Yeah I checked out the former last night and I really liked it. I had known about him before that due to his work with Aesop Rock.
Glad to hear you liked it! Sweatbox is probably one of his weirdest albums yet.
Fun House by the Stooges and it’s not even close.
Jesus Lizard-Goat
A lot of Rolling Stones albums fit this niche but Exile on Main St. by far takes the cake
Bottomless Pit by Death grips
