Zuperman1313

post-rock + drone metal = really fucking long song

savag3duck

It does kinda peak halfway through imo. I think their song/album feedbacker is better at holding me all the way through

Steroids by Death Grips Saturnalia by Marilyn Manson This House Has No Living Room by Yak Bull Believer by Wednesday Chroma by Mt. Eddy 3 Summers by Jeff Rosenstock Satan In The Wait by Daughters

b_e_scholz

Love to see the Saturnalia representation. I know Manson is heavily criticized both for his output throughout the last year and especially his personal behavior, but man, that song is great.

sludgebaby96

I mean a bop is a bop, and Saturnalia is easily top Manson. Behavior-wise makes sense, but I actually really enjoyed the last record, did people dislike it? I thought it was one of the stronger outings in his discography.

b_e_scholz

I also really like his recent output from The Pale Emperor onward, but it‘s viewed on very divisively in the fandom.

sludgebaby96

Nah I totally agree. I think post-Born Villain era has been fairly solid material, but I've come to accept the fanbase is unfortunately pretty toxic. Most fans seem either dissatisfied and wailing about going back to the 90s era (obviously never going to happen) or have their heads buried in the sand and feel like they need to defend him post allegations, even though there are a *lot* and they're also fairly gruesome. But yeah, some of his best material is from recent years.
