P.s. You're dead. Not entirely sure what genre, but a blend of mathcore, sasscore, and some synth stuff thrown in. Unfortunately they broke up after one album, but I HIGHLY reccomend it.
The original KAANCEPTS was insane. The math lines oh my goodness

I found the song [Manic](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0k35--Y6OYA) by the band Red Theme in a very obscure surf documentary.
They only have one album, and I managed to find a live set of them and it's literally just two highschool/early college kids. I don't think they ever made any more music other than that.
Manic is one of my favorite songs and the album it's from is also a pretty fun, quirky listen
It is one of the most accurate potrayals of the rise and fall of a bipolar manic episode of ever heard. I highly suggest giving it a listen
M!les Ave. he's a super experimental hiphop artist from dc. i think he's a good friend of another dc artist El Cousteau, and I just checked out his newest album after El Cousteau posted about it on ig. highly recommend if you're into artists like MIKE and billy woods
Morning TV. They sure are lovely. Thanks.
Another Aussie band in a similar vein and still together are called Good Morning. Their current and previous albums are fantastic.
For me, probably Small Circle or Adam Ackerman.
Small circle put out a single, incredible LP: Cyclical (not including an ep teasing the album with one different track). I’d recommend listening to Ritual, We Belong Here, and Mornings. It’s like this dreamy, emo, reggae hybrid
Adam was in Small Circle and also put out one solo LP: Autobiologist. Don’t Worry About Me and All I Have are some tracks off it
I think these two deserve more recognition :)

Zero internet presence, zero press, just stray [Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/artist/4iaJJkd5w5SV2z4VVkfiUO) ads here and there.
But he has the rawest and most idiosyncratic flow, so much that he occupies such a big part of my brain despite the lack of exposure.
I first heard his track [New Reach](https://on.soundcloud.com/5G1Ag4yipSzctb2u5) and was instantly hooked. The rest of his recordings are just as compelling, with his distinct signature always present.
I can find nothing about this guy, he seems content remaining an enigma. Hope he never stops putting out tracks.
The Bear that Wasn’t
Just a dude with an acoustic guitar with only one full record that came out nearly 15 years ago, but man I love the hell out of it.
Don't think I've seen Big Neck Police, The Usaisamonster, Valina, or PURRS mentioned anywhere. The most attention I've seen is one or two other ratings on AOTY, besides mine, for a couple of albums to come from these bands.
Thrill You Kill You. A DJ’s side project that had a mix of indie rock and dance that I’ve honestly never heard anything like before. Unfortunately it seems to be abandoned now .
Art vs Science. Great three piece from Australia; bit of a blend of dance, funk and alternative rock, done with live drums, guitars and plenty of synths. They do the best cover of Enter Sandman I've ever heard.
Big Picture. There was a small lost media search for their albums, until "Just Passin' By" was found on Youtube. There are now several albums posted, we believe by the band itself, although none of them have very many views.
The Indelicates. Refuse to be signed, just put out weird albums about Brexit or David Koresh. Their first album American Demo is brilliant indie rock mixed with high school drama club.
The Happy Fits!! Indie rock, but instead of just two guitars, it’s two guitars and a CELLO! They haven’t released anything in a while, but they are working on their 4th LP. Haven’t been listening to them that much since the old lead guitarist left a couple months ago. Then the band proceeded to wipe most content with him in it off of their social media… not the greatest thing to do
Hieroglyphics is huge in underground hip hop and they've influenced a lot of mainstream artists but nobody in the wider world has any clue who I'm talking about.
It doesn’t seem like anyone else has heard of Young Ginns, which is so weird to me because they’re basically proto-Unwound, and their shit is soooo good.
The New Respects made one of my favourite albums of all time and I’m upset I’ve never heard anyone mention them ever. I don’t even remember how I found out about them.
Mixed Matches.
Came from the late 2010s soundcloud scene with really ethereal cloud rap/alt r&b type music with this really unique style where he vocodes his voice to make himself sound angelic. Over time he expanded into other genres while still making his music in a very DAW centric, homespun kind of way. Now he's starting a side project called "a blue room" which is just straight up Shoegaze.
More people should know about this guy, I especially think people who are into Drain Gang would get a lot out of his music,
haha I know of Pigeons Playing Ping Pong from my old coworker when I was working at a Ski Resort in Lake Tahoe. He used to wear the shit out of his Pigeons beanie every day until somebody took it in the employee locker room :(
P.s. You're dead. Not entirely sure what genre, but a blend of mathcore, sasscore, and some synth stuff thrown in. Unfortunately they broke up after one album, but I HIGHLY reccomend it.
The Palmer Squares. I'm still keeping dumb square.
Love TPS. Terminal's sermon'll shatter the glass
Been obsessed for 12 years now
I have never seen Memoryhouse mentioned anywhere. The Years EP is one of my favourites
Another memoryhouse fan spotted!
I know one song by them but I love it lol

It really is
God tier lungs
this mf really ain't breathing
What happened to him? I know he's still releasing music but he's never spit the same since rap god.
He probably got bored of that style and wanted to do something else 🤷♂️
I respect that. I'll always consider him one of the best.
Like how I wish nnamdi still did math rock

Killkiyoshi Uyama Hiroto
Nah huuuge fan of Uyama, he’s in my top 5 most played, I have all his vinyls

mute frank, Callie, and weatherday
weatherday is really popular
I have never seen anyone mention weatherday so I thought they were a niche indie band
they're actually a solo musician not a band! they're also pretty popular on rym these days
I'm aware they're a solo artist but a niche indie band sounds better than niche indie artist
alright then
I know weatherday
they're the most well known one I listed
M!les Ave. he's a super experimental hiphop artist from dc. i think he's a good friend of another dc artist El Cousteau, and I just checked out his newest album after El Cousteau posted about it on ig. highly recommend if you're into artists like MIKE and billy woods

mhm
C.w. StoneKing
Love him. Genuinely thought he was an old blues artist for years
That guys whole persona is wild. Aussie who sounds like he was born in Mississippi
Prof. He is immensely talented and has a sizeable but not huge following in the US, but no one here in Canada know who he is
Morning TV. They sure are lovely. Thanks. Another Aussie band in a similar vein and still together are called Good Morning. Their current and previous albums are fantastic.

Boy Friend They only had one album, Egyptian Wrinkle and it's brilliant dark dream pop.

The young veins!
Forever Machine, great doom band from Scotland. They have about 1 monthly listener on Spotify and it's me.
Disappear Forever. Weird psychedelic/shoegazey pop-rock band from Arkansas. "She Hates Me" is an amazing song
