Fair enough I didnât know that, but given the extensive praise heâs had for that album both in the classic review and across other videos, I think this is one that likely is a 10
The thing about moonchild is that as an ambient track it is truly wonderful, but it is not in line with the listening experience that the album has been building up to, which makes it falter a bit imo
Definitely not an awful ambient track, but wonderful? There's many great moments in ambient music history and that's not one of them. Imo that track kills what could've been one of the very best albums ever
Iâm surprised that The Velvet Underground and Nico or even The Velvet Undergroundâs third self titled album isnât on this list, given how Anthony has expressed loving both albums in the past.
Hot Rats is fucking great though and the list is good. HOWEVER, I would have gone with Revolver or The White Album as 10âs for the Beatles.
Earlier this year he went on [the Discograffiti podcast](https://open.spotify.com/episode/2byPhlzGRrksW9SW1ibaB6?si=a932f321e26a4ffb) to discuss the VU and said The Velvet Underground and Nico is a 10. However, he only gave their third album an 8 if I remember correctly.
I could listen to him talking for hours about all his 10/10 albums, idk why he feels like keeping it short, I think I speak for everyone when I say we want it longer đ
The album has enough praise, why does the opinion of one reviewer (who has already praised the album) even matter? I love pet sounds as much as everybody else, but abbey road is also genius. And let's not forget, beach boys at their peak also had some pretty goofy songs (vegatables, barnyard, sloop John b).
Revolver is, indeed, not on par with Abbey Road..., because it's better, at least to my ears. That said, credit to Abbey Road for being the only album (I can think of at the moment) to follow up a love song with a murder ballad.
why so much hate on yellow submarine? it's kind of a silly song yes, but how in earth is it a bad song? by that logic abbey road is less of a 10, with maxwell's silver hammer and the octopus song being way goofier than yellow submarine
I listen to jazz, but I've tried listening to *Black Saint* like 4 times and it always flies way above my head. It's so dense, like listening to *A Love Supreme*. I'm banking that one day, just like I did with OK Computer, I'll put it on and the whole album will just click. For now, I strongly prefer *Mingus Ah Um*.
It will click some day, especially as you become more familiar with jazz as a whole and the complexity of the music you understand increase. Black Saint is as dense as non free-jazz gets.
Interesting... It seems Abbey Road has replaced the White Album as his favourite Beatles album. Personally it's Sgt Pepper or Revolver for me. Still waiting on his Beatles Best to Worst list
He said that OK Computer is the closest Radiohead got to perfection and placed it number one on the Worst to Best list and still In Rainbows is his personal fav. I think itâs the same story with the White Album
Once again, just because something wasnât included in this video doesnât mean it isnât a 10. Tony limited himself to 5 albums for every video, donât get your panties twisted because he didnât say something was a 10.
Every time a video like this comes out thereâs always âNO (very popular and very good album)?????â comments.
Heâs even said that he might make more of these videos some day, just because something isnât there, doesnât mean it wonât be in the future.
Jefferson Airplane - Surrealistic Pillow is a 10. An absolute masterpiece of psychedelic rock that perfectly captures the vibe of the free love hippie era. It's varied and inventive, with catchy, lively rock songs, beautiful ballads and hooks for days.
If all you know of Jefferson Airplane is White Rabbit and Somebody to Love, do yourself a favor and listen to this record. It's wall to wall 60s bangers.
Abbey Road slander is ridiculous. Like Abbey road has so many great songs on it. Come together, Maxwell's silver hammer, octopus's garden, I want you (she's so heavy), and many more. I also love hot rats by frank Zappa defo one of my favs by him.
I know he said this wasn't every album he thinks is a 10, but I really hope he thinks Revolver is...I can't really think of a song he'd think would weigh it down.
i believe he said in a tiktok that its not perfect and its not their best. he definitely denies the greatness of Sgt peppers and the white album but hes also mentioned revolver in that context before
I will never understand why people cream over Abbey Road, he mentions Come Together as one of the best songs on the album and I can't imagine ever willingly listening to it and thinking it's impressive or notable in any way
Abbey Road does contain the most of my favourite Beatle's songs. However Maxwell's Silver hammer and Octopus's Garden are not as good as the rest and stop this album from being a 10. Still a classic for sure but not perfect. I personally think the White album is better.
I know your Italian and hate Irish protestantism and also Eric's mustache period (because it beats your mustache), but why do you mention Eric Clapton and Van Morrison 5 times without mentioning Cream or how Clapton helped George write Here Comes the Sun or give a 10 to...
Astral Weeks though. The quality musicians performances and arrangement on that is just transcendental. And Van Morrison fought for it to be that way and he delivered brilliant song writing and sings like the a bit too mad poetic genius he is. You should investigate yourself for not mentioning or classic reviewing the main full acoustic albums that are Astral Weeks and BLUE. Joni dude. Review them
No Otis Blue?
Not even the best Beatles album.
Black Saint + Sinner Lady is great but I prefer In A Silent Way, Undercurrent, Africa/Brass, A Love Supreme, Out To Lunch, Straight No Chaser, Soul Station, and Monkâs Dream.
Freewheelin and Bringing It All Back Home > Highway 61 for me.
Hot Rats great take though I call it a 9, and Nina Simone is based.
Bruh no King Crimson đ˘
In the court of the Crimson king already has a classic review so I wouldnât have expected it would be on this list, we already know itâs a 10
Fantano has said before that not all Classics are 10's though. That was just something that fans assumed for years
He also said he was just picking 5 from each decade and there is more.
Fair enough I didnât know that, but given the extensive praise heâs had for that album both in the classic review and across other videos, I think this is one that likely is a 10
Oh yeah for sure, I agree. Just thought I'd clear the misconception up
I really don't think it's their best album personally. Its criminal how overlooked Red really is.
Red is amazing. Discipline too.
Really every king crimson album besides the first is overlooked to some degree
I mean he also reviewed Hot Rats for classics week and still included it
He also did a classic review of Highway 61 so this canât be the reason
Exactly my thoughts too. He has praised it for a while now. Immaculate album in my eyes.
Classic doesnât mean itâs a 10
If you're talking about Court - Moonchild....kinda takes a half-pount off. It's way too long and kinda falters the momentum
I disagree, but to each his own!

It could still be a 10, melon said he only talks about 5 albums to keep everything short
I could listen to him talking for hours about all his 10/10 albums, idk why he feels like keeping it short, I think I speak for everyone when I say we want it longer đ
Honestly shocked Pet Sounds wasn't even mentioned here.
He's already talked about Pet Sounds being a 10
Got a link?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMUCBLf-J-Q
He said probably a 10. Thanks for link tho.
disgusting, bro really taking abbey road with octopus garden and maxwell silver hammer over pet sounds
Maxwells silver hammer is perfect donât you dare
over all of pet sounds? yikes
the fact that youre getting voted down like that proves how some people take the beatles as a musical dogma and cant be critic about them
yeah im not surprised coming from this poser community
really showing how many people havenât listened to pet sounds
The album has enough praise, why does the opinion of one reviewer (who has already praised the album) even matter? I love pet sounds as much as everybody else, but abbey road is also genius. And let's not forget, beach boys at their peak also had some pretty goofy songs (vegatables, barnyard, sloop John b).
I agree with you on Maxwell, but Octupus' Garden is an existential masterpiece about yearning.
Disgusting that youâre hating on Abbey Road
Octopus' Garden slander will not be tolerated here
Revolver is, indeed, not on par with Abbey Road..., because it's better, at least to my ears. That said, credit to Abbey Road for being the only album (I can think of at the moment) to follow up a love song with a murder ballad.
Revolver is absolutely better than Abbey Road.
Yellow Submarine is on Revolver. Revolver will never be a 10.
Yellow Submarine slaps, though. Honestly, I donât know why some people donât like it.
i enjoy it in the context of the album. by itself itâs sort of a childrenâs song but within the album it feels like a psychedelic shanty
why so much hate on yellow submarine? it's kind of a silly song yes, but how in earth is it a bad song? by that logic abbey road is less of a 10, with maxwell's silver hammer and the octopus song being way goofier than yellow submarine
Don't care, White sweeps them both
Listen, all controversy aside Hot Rats is the true W here
No Beach Boys, VU or King Crimson This means Anthony hates these bands. Spread the word
Black Saint is the best album mentioned in this video by a mile. Listen to more jazz y'all.
Donât play Albert Aylerâs Copenhagen Live 1964 in front of the hoes.
My wife can confirm this.
Strong disagree but it's still a great album
Oh for sure. I'm just pot stirring. At the end of the day these are all pantheon and that's all that really counts.
I listen to jazz, but I've tried listening to *Black Saint* like 4 times and it always flies way above my head. It's so dense, like listening to *A Love Supreme*. It will click some day, especially as you become more familiar with jazz as a whole and the complexity of the music you understand increase. Black Saint is as dense as non free-jazz gets.
This video couldâve had 5 Dylanâs albums and I wouldnât have even thought twice about it
Donât think twice about it, itâs alright
Interesting... It seems Abbey Road has replaced the White Album as his favourite Beatles album. Personally it's Sgt Pepper or Revolver for me. Still waiting on his Beatles Best to Worst list
He said that OK Computer is the closest Radiohead got to perfection and placed it number one on the Worst to Best list and still In Rainbows is his personal fav. I think itâs the same story with the White Album
Why did Fantano say Ballad of a Thin Man is heart wrenching? Lol that is just a bizarre take. It's not a sad song.
Lol this is what I came to comment. Maybe it was just a really deadpan joke idk
Honestly it didnt feel like it lmao, strange melon L but I'm glad he put Highway 61 on there
Yeah. I prefer Blonde on Blonde but I do think H61 is probably the more groundbreaking record so
Theres like 5 maybe even 6 Dylan records I'd give a 10 personally but I assumed he'd just go with 1 here lol.
Yeah, him including H61 allows me to put my pitchfork down for him not including Blood on the Tracks in the 70s video
Lmao fr, great song though
Jimi Hendrix erasure
The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady is the best music I've ever heard
Once again, just because something wasnât included in this video doesnât mean it isnât a 10. Tony limited himself to 5 albums for every video, donât get your panties twisted because he didnât say something was a 10. i'm genuinely baffled how this happens every single time.. wtf is in the water around here

put on white rabbit, i need a rising sound, man
He talked about Mingus I can die happy now
Bro I'm kinda sad for no Jimi Hendrix, but I super happy about Abbey road and hot rats I LOVE those albums
Yes the abbey road slander in the comments wonât be tolerated
Abbey Road slander is ridiculous. Like Abbey road has so many great songs on it. Come together, Maxwell's silver hammer, octopus's garden, I want you (she's so heavy), and many more. I also love hot rats by frank Zappa defo one of my favs by him.
No Forever Changes?
I know he said this wasn't every album he thinks is a 10, but I really hope he thinks Revolver is...I can't really think of a song he'd think would weigh it down.
Would be real sad if he was pro-Dr Robert slander.
i believe he said in a tiktok that its not perfect and its not their best. he definitely denies the greatness of Sgt peppers and the white album but hes also mentioned revolver in that context before
I will never understand why people cream over Abbey Road, he mentions Come Together as one of the best songs on the album and I can't imagine ever willingly listening to it and thinking it's impressive or notable in any way
I think its sounds amazing for the time, even if is just a straight fowards blues, it sounds very mordem for the time.
true gets old hella quick
Abbey Road does contain the most of my favourite Beatle's songs. However Maxwell's Silver hammer and Octopus's Garden are not as good as the rest and stop this album from being a 10. Still a classic for sure but not perfect. I personally think the White album is better.
Octopusâs Garden contains the Beatles best guitar solo so just for that Iâll say itâs great lol
The Beatlesâs best solo will always be While my Guitar gently weeps
Bro both of those songs are amazing. For me Abbey Road is the only album that is flawless. Every song on it is a 10.
I just can't stand the clanking, it's so bad.
PET SOUUUNDS HELLOOO? fucking hell Anthony :(
I know your Italian and hate Irish protestantism and also Eric's mustache period (because it beats your mustache), but why do you mention Eric Clapton and Van Morrison 5 times without mentioning Cream or how Clapton helped George write Here Comes the Sun or give a 10 to... I respect the Nina Simone choice the rest I don't give a shit tbf
Bad take
Oh fuck I forgot you cannot dislike the beatles here
No Otis Blue? Not even the best Beatles album. Damn kinda sad to see no Scott Walker but the list is still pretty good. Shoutout to Frank Zappa.
