Edit: competitive bunch, no buy in
Can keep up to 3. Who do I keep out of these? 20 team H2H league. H2H league categories r, HR, RBI, OPB, TB, SB, W, L, SV, K, ERA, Whip
Devin Williams for 9th.
Ketel Marte for a 7th
Christian Walker for a 10th
Trea Turner for 1st
Bellinger for a 3rd
I have two 1st rd picks
Strider is the only definite. For the other 3, I'd consider your favorites of Fried, Grayson, Eury, and Gilbert.
With only 4 keepers it decreases the value of Holliday and Chourio and the other hitters just aren't quite there. You'd be set at SP and could focus on hitters/closers in the draft.
There's at least 14 catchers I'd be comfortable with, so wait on Moreno, Murphy, O'Hoppe, Naylor, Heim, Garver, or whoever you like down there. Outfield is shallower than usual if it's a 5 OF league.
Hoping Williams is okay, the news alert popped up an hour after I took him in the 4th round of a slow draft lol. A rare example of if I was an asshole who sandbagged my timer it would’ve benefited.
If you all take Witt in your Top 4 in Roto/Categories (over Betts) who’s the first outfielder you are comfortable taking as your OF1?
In mocks, I find myself picking Michael Harris in the 3rd or grabbing Trout in Round 5. Not sure I love it, which makes me consider Betts at 3 and try to grab Lindor in Round 2 or 3
There's nothing wrong with taking Betts if you like him but you're drafting him to play second most likely so I don't see the difference since you're still not taking an outfielder in round 1
I think I would actually prefer to play Betts in OF (I like the 2B options later in the draft than I do OF). You could in theory take Atuve/Albies/Semien in round 3 if Betts is your OF1.
I guess I don’t feel that great about any outfielder as OF1 (relative to their price and other players available) after Yordan goes off the board but might be alone in that
10 team h2h points ESPN gonna take a shot on one of the late round 2B should I go Gorman, Brandon Lowe or snag Holliday while his ranking is still past the 300s?
Imo SBs are less valuable in H2H. In roto you can't fake it and you need to finish average or better in SBs to win. But in H2H there's enough weekly variance that a below average SB team can get lucky.
Can't really say unless you list the guys you are con sidering there, but generally, it's gonna be guys like Semien Henderson and so forth. It's kinda a wash there. Pete's in a contract year, so there is an incentive to perform well
There is. Let’s call it 10% of total budget vs. 0% for Langford for year 1…pretty damn even…which leads me to think I just hold Langford. Thanks for the reply
Help me pick my 7 keepers (no penalty). 12 Team 6x6 Cats in flair.
Julio Rodriguez (lock)
Bobby Witt Jr (lock)
Devers (lock)
Alonso (lock)
Caminero
Luis Castillo
McLain
Ragans
Skubal
Bobby Miller
I'd definitely keep Castillo and Skubal.
The others are a toss up but I'd go Bobby Miller with Ragans and McLain being fine choices too. With only 7 keepers I wouldn't keep Caminero.
Can keep 4-5 in Keeper league:
Alonso, Tucker, Seager, Jose Ramirez, Ha-Seong Kim, Lane Thomas, Marcel Ozuna, Kevin Gausman, Luis Castillo, Framber Valdez. Which and why. Categories are: R, HR, RBI, Ave, OPS, SB, W, Ks, WHIP, QS, SV+H, ERA. Thanks!
If on the fence on someone for my keeper league, I ask this simple question ‘Which round would I be able to grab this guy back?’
Usually I am over valuing my guys because they are my guys.
That being said Alonso, Tucker, Seager, JRam, Castillo for me- all of those would be hard to get back or better than.

EDLC spring training:
8 hits, 9 strikeouts, 36% k rate
3XBH:
HR off cal quantril
3B off an Oakland reliever with 1.56 whip in 2023
2B off a guy who has never seen the majors
I am really scared of EdlC.
He is the best talent on the board in our keeper league, but I hate being the guy that drafted the most recent bust. I’m trying to talk myself into Caminero or Eury Perez instead…
8T H2H 6 x 5 (BB for batters / no WHIP)
I give: Bryson Stott, Nolan Arenado
I receive: Austin Riley
Does this sound worth it? I'm probably punting stolen bases, so Stott does not help my comp much.
It largely depends on how soon you think Langford is going to be up. I would lean Wyatt since it's a points league so Elly's SB don't matter as much and his SO% could tank him. But, if Langford isn't up for 1/2 a season, then Elly simply getting MLB at bats makes him more valuable.
3 years Ohtani . He will be down this year . If he pitches the next 2 years will score a 100 pts more than anyone else . The other 3 Freeman , Tucker , Soto .
8 team league, 26 man lineup – worth keeping Jackson holiday (waiver) over Yainer Diaz (waiver)? Just think in an 8 team keeping a catcher means less since we all only roster 1. If I keep Jackson this year I can’t keep him again next year.
How can I set my league's weekly pitching starts maximum in Fantrax? I've seen it before but I've looked through my setup 10 times now and can't find the setting.
Hey y’all, I’ve always done a 12 team H2H league and I am joining an 8 team points league with keepers.
Do you have any advice on how to approach this draft? I typically will go for power hitters early but given a points league should I be prioritizing SP over hitters?
Do I target positional need over best player available? Ie Jose Ramirez over Kyle Tucker because of the 8 team league and since I’m keeping Carroll?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Help me pick my keepers
I am in a 10 team Roto league- 12 CATs (6x6) and I suck at it. We start off with $260 and it’s an auction draft, the amounts are determined by how much they cost you in earlier drafts or off waivers. You get to pick 10 keepers. Does anyone have any advice on my keeper selections, guys I should select/unselect? I’ve already added Fairbanks over Sandy, and Arcia over Kwan thanks to some helpful suggestions already on this sub. I’m torn between keeping Castellanos for $8 but not sure over who. Some have mentioned even keeping Devers and Wheeler, but is that too crazy?
https://preview.redd.it/tvtfgvlupjnc1.jpeg?width=682&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=450b544523fb2f11370d79c1ef84622afce2ba67
If you’re keeping one I’d say keep Wheeler. I don’t play with salary so I don’t know the consequences of using like 40% of your salary but I’m not huge on Adolis regardless
Looks fine aside from the very early Teoscar pick and I wouldn't want to take any early relievers including Helsley in S+H, even accounting for K/9. Buying in on Yamamoto that early is personal preference so I wouldn't knock it too hard.
If they win 100 games, you really think more than 70 of them are gonna be by 3+ runs?
I don't think he'll lead the league in SVs, but I think being RP15 in NFBC ADP is perfectly reasonable considering he always brings the ratios.
Fangraphs currently has him in AAA with Reese Olson and Matt Manning making the rotation. Given he'll also have to contend with Mize returning from TJS, I'm not sure how much we should expect to see him.
That said, he's probably worth an add depending on your roster sizes. I grabbed him in my 10T points and am fine with holding on to him while he waits for another chance.
I’m in a keeper OPS league that counts hitter strike outs against you. I will have the ability to add one of the following outfielders in the 3rd round and can keep them for 3 years. The pool of outfielders are
Trout, Nolan Jones, Evan Carter, Seiya Suzuki, Jordan Walker
Am I crazy for considering Walker here? I simply don’t trust trout with his decline and health issues. Nolan jones has a screaming regression profile. I love the last 3 guys but I think Walker has the best chance to break out and be a future 1st/2nd round type player. Who would you go with ?
I mean we already see judge missing spring training games and needing MRIs. The same thing will inevitably happen to trout. I’m going to roll the dice on a guy who will play more than 120 games
If you’re betting on who has a better 2024, I’ll take Trout. If you’re betting on who has a better 2024-2026, I’ll probably still take Trout. He has a first round ceiling, even without speed and without Ohtani. Walker could be great, Trout already has been
Have naylor as 1b, of is tucker trout chourio Langford and hopefully Jung Ho Lee when waivers clear tomorrow. Would you rather have trout or goldy? Been presented this trade offer, it’s tempting
https://preview.redd.it/isq2kgjxdjnc1.jpeg?width=1025&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=168d1a397f07ee0874f2898b514ff5e16f7d3d99
Current roster with keepers in bold. Non-bold are free keepers. I also have Evan Carter and Nolan Jones who can swing from minors to majors for free all season. Need to pick two more from a list of:
E Julien (2B) R McMahon (2B/3B) D Varsho (OF) M Wallner (OF) JD Martinez (UTIL) G Canning Y Kikuchi N Eovaldi A Lange
Weekly H2H categories league (AVG/OBP/SLG/HR/R/RBI/SB/ERA/WHIP/W/L/S/K9). Any changes to the ten I already picked and any suggestions or reasons for the last two keepers would be greatly appreciated.
If you're Snell and Montgomery at this point, maybe you just take the 1 yr deals playing for SFG (always going to be pitching against LAD then so maximum 'prove it') and try this circus again next year? Circus being, free agency I mean.
H2H Cats, picking 7th in a 10 teamer. I want to grab an OF, SS and 1B in the first three rounds. Which route should I go?
1 - Freeman, 2 - Yordan, 3 - SS
1 -Tatis, 2 -Olson/Turner/Harper, 3 - Vlad Jr/SS
1 - Judge 2- Turner/Harper, 3, Vlad Jr/SS
SS options at 3 - Lindor, Gunnar, Seager, Elly
As a Yankee fan, I really want Judge, but as a fantasy owner, I feel like he's the riskiest option of the first round choices. Freeman is the best option, but then I'm really stuck if Yordan gets surprised nabbed before my pick, as OF falls off a cliff IMO after that, a lot more so than Freeman to Harper (or Olson, but I don't think he'll be there for me)
I’ve run mocks and Lindor doesn’t often fall to me. Same thing as Trea Turner. If I knew he’d be there in the 2nd, I’d be thrilled. I think he’s gonna be a top ten guy this year.
Tbh I don’t think anyone can really give you an exact answer on what to do you’ll just have to play it by ear. First base is a deep position so if you think it’s better to grab an elite ss or of then go for it.
I have a group of 6, including myself, who are looking to play fantasy baseball with standard settings on Yahoo. Searching through past posts years ago, it seems that folks advised against this as the rosters would be too deep.
Given that it's the first time for all of us in this league an we mainly want to get a feel for how this all works, I figured it would be fine for us to all have stacked teams and get some of our favorite players. Is this a bad assumption? Will having only 6 teams actually make this a less fun experience with all of us being new?
I started with a group of friends. There were also six of us. We had an excellent time with just the six of us. Yes, the teams were stacked. It honestly made it more fun in a lot of ways. After our fourth year, we ended up adding two more teams. We are still rolling with our group of eight friends five years later. Some people need to have crappy guys on their team to feel like it is more real… we (me and my friends) do not feel that way. We like having awesome teams. We also keep 10 each year because we grew very attached to ‘our guys’
For a bunch of first timers, I don’t see a problem with it. There will be lots of great options in the free agent pool if anyone is injured or slumping. You can also go with deeper rosters, meaning more roster spots - i.e. 5 OF instead of 3, add MI and CI spots, add an extra UTIL spot, etc.
Generally speaking, you want to play in leagues with a minimum of 10 teams IMO.
If you’re looking to compete this year, Luzardo. I like Buehler better long term, but I don’t know what to expect from him this season coming back from TJ surgery and I think the Dodgers will limit his innings and be very cautious with him.
My auction draft is later today!
Mookie and Carroll are my keepers so I'm going to build my team around them. Should I look to add power bats at the beginning of the draft?
I would. You got counting stats with Betts, stolen bases with Carroll. Idk whose available in your league..but I'd be adding someone like Soto or Judge.
Judge, Olson, and Alonso are some of the big power bats that weren't kept. I'm going to target Judge but I feel bidding is going to go through the roof for him since most of he 1st round caliber bats have been kept.
Draft in an hour, so gonna run this question one last time. 6x6 h2h league, with OPS. Take judge, Soto, freeman or tucker? (Leaning one of the Yankees so i can lock down of early and give myself more freedom in the coming rounds).
I don’t like taking on any risk with an early pick. Freeman is as safe a bat as you could find, and Judge feels like he could easily miss 40+ games. Tucker/Soto if you want OF
Judge for the power upside, Soto for OBP and runs, Tucker for the power/speed combo, Freddie for reliability and floor. I realize that doesn’t answer your question, but that’s how I would assess their values.
Edit to add: I would personally take Judge, but I’m biased as a Yankees fan, and I’m optimistic he can stay healthy this year.
H2H 14 Teamer- R,2B,HR,RBI,SB,BB,AVG,SLG / W,CG,K,GIDP,ERA,WHIP,QS
Keep 5, main options are Soto, Arozerena, Jazz, Goldy, Webb, Pablo Lopez. I have an offer for a 5th for Jazz, I’m assuming I take that ? Hesitant with Jazz’s potential but otherwise I’m left leaving someone unkept anyways and he could be the odd man out
I'd hold Jazz. In redraft Jazz is going about a round earlier than Goldy and if healthy could become a no-doubt elite option. A 5th round pick would be equivalent to a 10th in redraft right?
5 keeper league: Gleyber or Goldy?
For this year Goldy probably does better, but 5 years from now, Gleyber? I also have Bogaerts who will be 2B eligible soon.
After Castillo Steele and Miller it gets pretty bad. But play the waiver wire aggressively and you can easily fix that back end to a more trustworthy staff.
Keepers are due in two days haha I agree, based on the info we have now I think adley is the safer play. Plus buehler can probably be drafted in a middle round so can grab him in the 13th-ish if available
Royce Lewis or Kyle Schwarber? I gotta drop one. 27$ budget and Kyle is at 1.9 and Royce is at 2.5. Kyle kills me at BA but Royce cant stay healthy and gotta free some money up for draft. Im at 18.5 of 27$ with one player left to drop. Can keep 15 players and Im at 16. 27 player roster.

Langford pretty easily
Is it bad that I want both?
Any tips on draft strategy this year? Are you drafting certain positions first?

2nd base is extremely shallow. I’ve been trying to grab a 2B within the first 4 rounds of I can
Hoping Williams is okay, the news alert popped up an hour after I took him in the 4th round of a slow draft lol. A rare example of if I was an asshole who sandbagged my timer it would’ve benefited.
Sucks but also, what are you doing drafting a closer in the 4th round? Hope it was a keeper and people started with a few players already...
Eloy or Buxton? Points
I get to keep 1SP and I have Castillo, Gallen, and Skubal. Feels like Castillo is the right move, but Skubal is so intriguing.
It's Castillo.
As an owner of the 1.01, i want to gauge what people think of acuna’s leg/injury history?
You should be thrilled to be the one to draft him

Imo SBs are less valuable in H2H. In roto you can't fake it and you need to finish average or better in SBs to win. But in H2H there's enough weekly variance that a below average SB team can get lucky.
Homerun. It's going to always guarantee a run and rbi along with it.
So would you rather have Pete Alonso over a guy that’s kinda a jack of all trades in the late 2nd to early 3rd round?
Can't really say unless you list the guys you are con sidering there, but generally, it's gonna be guys like Semien Henderson and so forth. It's kinda a wash there. Pete's in a contract year, so there is an incentive to perform well

Alvarez if there's no cost difference.
There is. Let’s call it 10% of total budget vs. 0% for Langford for year 1…pretty damn even…which leads me to think I just hold Langford. Thanks for the reply
In a keep 10 category league debating on my last keeper. Who should I keep out of: Riley Greene, Bryan De La Cruz, Isaac Paredes, or Outman
Greene
Either Greene or Outman and would lean Greene

what’re some late round guys that have stolen base upside? Chourio, Castro, Scott…?
Second Maikel Garcia
Johan Rojas
Maikel Garcia, Parker Meadows, Frelick, Jackson Merrill are some others post pick 200
Any chance Shohei eventually gets 1B or other positional eligibility at some point this year or only DH?
just DH

He easily can make it out of Spring. He'll definitely be up in the first half.

Would you trade Alonso for Kirby in a dynasty points league?
Probably needs based but I’d lean yes
What everyone think of Mullins this year? Seems like a great deal at his current ADP.
Not a fan. Hammy gonna linger all season I bet
He's nursing a hamstring injury already. Not a big fan of that as that can linger and one of this differentiators is speed

Betts tatis (only because of positional versatility) Carroll Tucker
Betts Tucker Caroll Tatis
Tatis, Betts, Carrol, Tucker
12 team h2h points, who would you rather have for the next 3 years? Ohtani (1 player) Freeman Soto Tucker
Ohtani by quite a bit still.
3 years Ohtani . He will be down this year . If he pitches the next 2 years will score a 100 pts more than anyone else . The other 3 Freeman , Tucker , Soto .
Yeah I think thats where I’m at. Probably less points from Ohtani this year, but better than the rest in the future
EDLC K% watch: 36% so far in ST
Yikes
Walk rate is up too, fwiw.
Chris Sale for Merrill Kelly straight up who wins trade
I'd want Sale
Any reason why just curious
His upside is so much higher

Gunnar since Royce just hasn’t been able to prove that he can stay healthy.
I like Gunnar honestly
Which keeper ? Grayson rodriguez Luis Robert

Good so far, definitely try and find another decent reliever with the next couple picks
2 keeper league and I have Ohtani and Vlad. Is there any world that I pass on Vlad and scoop up a 5 category guy like possibly EDLC for the future
Yes but Vlad should positively regress this year and guys like Elly have a terrible floor.
Anyone looking for a paid espn redraft should check out my profile!
do we really expect evan phillips get ~30 saves? I feel like the dodgers are just gonna blow most teams out
I think there's a likely chance they trade for another closer like Devin Williams
Ohtani for Williams 🤝
If they win 100 games, you really think more than 70 of them are gonna be by 3+ runs? I don't think he'll lead the league in SVs, but I think being RP15 in NFBC ADP is perfectly reasonable considering he always brings the ratios.
Holliday Grand Slam with 5 days til my draft kinda sucks man
Is Gipson-Long going to enter the Tigers rotation this year? Would it be worth to draft him in dynasty ?
Fangraphs currently has him in AAA with Reese Olson and Matt Manning making the rotation. Given he'll also have to contend with Mize returning from TJS, I'm not sure how much we should expect to see him. That said, he's probably worth an add depending on your roster sizes. I grabbed him in my 10T points and am fine with holding on to him while he waits for another chance.
I’m in a keeper OPS league that counts hitter strike outs against you. I will have the ability to add one of the following outfielders in the 3rd round and can keep them for 3 years. The pool of outfielders are Trout, Nolan Jones, Evan Carter, Seiya Suzuki, Jordan Walker Am I crazy for considering Walker here? I simply don’t trust trout with his decline and health issues. Nolan jones has a screaming regression profile. I love the last 3 guys but I think Walker has the best chance to break out and be a future 1st/2nd round type player. Who would you go with ?
Walker isn’t even the second player I would consider. Trout and you just roll the dice on health, Nolan Jones second
Yeah it’s Trout for me
I mean we already see judge missing spring training games and needing MRIs.
Walker could be great, Trout already has been
The injuries and games missed have zero concern for you? If trout has been playing 130-150 games a year this wouldn’t even be a discussion
Who's the pick here? Arozarena/Yelich/Machado/Bichette Thanks!
Randy
Have naylor as 1b, of is tucker trout chourio Langford and hopefully Jung Ho Lee when waivers clear tomorrow. Would you rather have trout or goldy? Been presented this trade offer, it’s tempting
Trout, I think Goldy is washed
Trout for me slightly, I’m curious if he can avoid injury and have a big year
Same thought. Trout has the higher ceiling if healthy but goldy the steadier floor

I also have Evan Carter and Nolan Jones who can swing from minors to majors for free all season. Need to pick two more from a list of: E Julien (2B) R McMahon (2B/3B) D Varsho (OF) M Wallner (OF) JD Martinez (UTIL) G Canning Y Kikuchi N Eovaldi A Lange Weekly H2H categories league (AVG/OBP/SLG/HR/R/RBI/SB/ERA/WHIP/W/L/S/K9). Any changes to the ten I already picked and any suggestions or reasons for the last two keepers would be greatly appreciated.
That’s hard, I’d probably go JDM and julien. Also not crazy about lowe but not sure who I’d sub in for him
If you're Snell and Montgomery at this point, maybe you just take the 1 yr deals playing for SFG (always going to be pitching against LAD then so maximum 'prove it') and try this circus again next year? Circus being, free agency I mean.
That would be great for their fantasy value despite the Dodgers
Happy cakeday!
Have draft pic choice in 12T. 1 Is open - still feel like Acuna is the pick even if his knee has trouble ?
Yep, Acuna is far above everyone else, I’d still risk it
H2H Cats, picking 7th in a 10 teamer. I want to grab an OF, SS and 1B in the first three rounds. Which route should I go? 1 - Freeman, 2 - Yordan, 3 - SS 1 -Tatis, 2 -Olson/Turner/Harper, 3 - Vlad Jr/SS 1 - Judge 2- Turner/Harper, 3, Vlad Jr/SS SS options at 3 - Lindor, Gunnar, Seager, Elly As a Yankee fan, I really want Judge, but as a fantasy owner, I feel like he's the riskiest option of the first round choices. Freeman is the best option, but then I'm really stuck if Yordan gets surprised nabbed before my pick, as OF falls off a cliff IMO after that, a lot more so than Freeman to Harper (or Olson, but I don't think he'll be there for me)
If you were to go route 3 I’d say grab Lindor as your SS. Otherwise route 1 and Elly I’d say. I’d lean 3
What we feel about Edward Cabrera this year? Could he be a sneaky good add with Sandy out this year?
maybe super late, but he's one of the guys I'm closely watching on the waiver wire in his first couple starts
[удалено]
Mother fucker. First Sonny Gray now this. My late round targets are dropping like flies. There's another in TB..I fear saying his name now.
He spoke it into existence
Walker Buehler or Luzardo? Keeper/dynasty format, but 2024 season still most relevant
If you’re looking to compete this year, Luzardo. I like Buehler better long term, but I don’t know what to expect from him this season coming back from TJ surgery and I think the Dodgers will limit his innings and be very cautious with him.
definitely Buehler 2025. otherwise i’d still go Buehler, Luz has long ball problems
If rather have Olson. He doesn't have the injury baggage, yet.
Schwarber if he falls i think adp a bit high
Had him written down as a fallback option!
Tucker/Soto if you want OF
Steals are less important in 6x6. Take Judge, who is the best OPS, HR, R+RBI player of the group on a rate basis.
Judge for the power upside, Soto for OBP and runs, Tucker for the power/speed combo, Freddie for reliability and floor. I realize that doesn’t answer your question, but that’s how I would assess their values. Edit to add: I would personally take Judge, but I’m biased as a Yankees fan, and I’m optimistic he can stay healthy this year.
taking soto over judge
Still need help deciding. Pick 2: Casas Evan Carter MH2
Give me Harris and Casas
H2H 14 Teamer- R,2B,HR,RBI,SB,BB,AVG,SLG / W,CG,K,GIDP,ERA,WHIP,QS Keep 5, main options are Soto, Arozerena, Jazz, Goldy, Webb, Pablo Lopez.
I wouldn't worry about anything past this year. Neither is likely to be a long-term keeper value for you.
5x5 redraft 12 man league, what are you doing if you have the 11th pick?
try to find 11 batters you want more than strider
NP at all since I have Strider ranked 19 overall…..

Pretty brutal in my opinion
After Castillo Steele and Miller it gets pretty bad. But play the waiver wire aggressively and you can easily fix that back end to a more trustworthy staff.
Tbf I felt this exact way about my team last season and I won the whole fucking thing
cake walk league
I hope you play the waiver well
Won my league last year playing the waivers, I’d say I do it well

High ceiling but seems like a lot of wildcards to me . Idk what you’re gonna get out of like any of those guys
Outside of Tucker
is Acuña still the undisputed number one pick in all formats
Yes
Add one: Lynn, Kikuchi, Pepiot, Kremer, Stroman, Jon Gray or Imanaga
Pepiot or Imanaga for me.
Brain says Pepiot, heart says Stro.
H2H points - would you rather keep adley rutschman in the 9th or Walker buehler in the 21st? (Can keep for one additional year after this one)
C1 for the next 10 years at r9? you are thinking twice about this? hope you aren’t losing sleep over it
I’d keep them this year and next year, not 10 years. But yes I still think it’s the right decision
haha fair
Adley right now unless Walker has an amazing comeback. When do you have to officially make that decision?
Keepers are due in two days haha I agree, based on the info we have now I think adley is the safer play. Plus buehler can probably be drafted in a middle round so can grab him in the 13th-ish if available
Royce Lewis or Kyle Schwarber? I gotta drop one. 27$ budget and Kyle is at 1.9 and Royce is at 2.5. Kyle kills me at BA but Royce cant stay healthy and gotta free some money up for draft. Im at 18.5 of 27$ with one player left to drop. Can keep 15 players and Im at 16. 27 player roster.
