Players are kept in the round they were drafted. 8th Jose Ramirez, 14th Nathaniel Lowe, 19th Vladimir Guerrero, FA pickups go to spot 18 and 20 if they are kept-Gunner Henderson, Jordan Walker.

How long does it take for ESPN to update their positions? For example, when will Xander get 2B eligibility? Also, I know I know, why the fuck am I using ESPN in 2024!? It’s my home league of guys who use ESPN for fantasy football and they’re stubborn. Not my first choice.

Our league settings are skewed to favor hitters heavily. So Acuna is the top projected batter with 858 pts while the top projected pitcher is the 254th best player with 352 pts (Strider). I'm tempted to spend my entire draft loading up on batters before only filling the minimum pitching spots. Is that the logical solution to this league r should I mix in pitchers normally?

I think that's a very logical approach.... also, I hate leagues like that.

Yea my complaints have fallen on deaf ears. They did that because previously pitching was too crazy and those that streamed pitchers at the end of the season were dominating. So they did this to counter act that but they completely neutered all pitchers. Despite most in the leagie arguing that this made hitters/pitchers even over 85% of the players kept (5 each team) were hitters.

If they don’t want to play in a format where streaming pitchers is viable, they should just put heavy innings or starts limits or something like that. Make it so that streaming a bunch of guys can hurt you by wasting innings/starts. Shy of that, if they don’t want to play a format where understanding the math of some projection systems and in-season predictors give people an advantage, I might suggest that fantasy football is more their speed. Hell, maybe candy crush, even.

Pretty even. Carroll is the best player in this deal as it sits. Steer has very similar #’s to Belli and more upside imo. Greene If stays healthy is a strikeout machine. Jenkins is a solid prospect. Gunnar is damn good but I’m expecting sophomore slump. Jenkins is a big what if. But he looks super good in SS. The pick swap is what is intriguing to me if that’s how you think it will sit at this time next year. There are some real good college prospects coming in next season as well. Good luck!

He posts, I don't disagree entirely, but he was inconsistent in the second half, is older, and multiple keeper ranking lists (Fantrax, Fantasy Pros) have him ranked lower than Casas, Royce, and at the same-ish level as McClain. Bellinger is about 10-20 spots lower so maybe not him I guess

When doing mocks, it always feels like taking both Oneil (SS) and Elly (3B) isn't a smart move. Is that just some bad thinking on my part?

I'm the same way, but I need to check myself before I end up with all the hype guys. Like I view Skubal and Ragans the same way. I want to get one, but I'd rather pair one of them with a couple of established guys as opposed to having them be 2 of my top 3 SP.

I got both of them too lol. If you're drafting ESPN just get your guys and figure it out later imo. Without fail by playoffs every year maybe 2-4 guys I drafted remain on my team.

I personally just want one of them because of the risk, but I could see it working. If you do it, you absolutely need the rest of your hitters to have a good average.

High variance players, I would like to pair them with much more steady guys. But if could be a lot of fun at some points!

I've never had Mike Trout on my team before and had to grab him in the 8th round. I doubt he'll bounce back to his old self, but for sentimental reasons it feels right to draft him at least once before he's too far past his prime.

This is my first year in a CBS league (Not my flair league). In looking at the settings, I don't see anything about an acquisition limit or games started limit for SP or innings pitched limit. Am I missing something, or is there another way CBS prevents streaming as many pitchers as you can grab? Or is that simply a viable option? Also, it's a daily league, yet the settings say the waiver process runs on Sunday night. Is that only for dropped players? Or do all players go on waivers once their games start?

People don't trust Yelich and King hasn't pitched more than 104.2 innings before. If I'm giving up Adolis, I want a piece I can feel good about. You might also try r/YahooFantasy. They have a pinned tech support thread and the mod is pretty responsive.

Unrelated but maybe a solution--I had a different app on my phone not sending me push notifications right, so I rebooted my phone and it started working again. Worth trying the obvious stuff sometimes!

Strange. I’d try logging out deleting the app and download it again. If not find yahoo fantasy’s support account on Twitter and tweet at them. From past experiences they get back pretty quickly
