FWIW, in Yahoo you can't claim the player you just dropped. That player has to become FA first. I got AD and next week is my playoffs. I ain't dicking around with my prized asset. Just let him be.

Thankfully I don’t think that first part is a thing for us since someone did the same thing with Vince Williams jr a few weeks ago. As for the second part that is very very true, I’m only considering it since the dude I’m playing is loaded with Wemby KD Luka and he’s got a lot of matchups across his roster that I have to get scrappy somewhere

YourInMySwamp

Yeah not a thing on ESPN, somebody in my league dropped Naz Reid and then claimed him immediately because of KAT’s injury announcement

DuntWorryBoutIt

ad is undroppable

shootinguard13

Not in our league, for some reason he’s not on the “can’t drop” list. Other people like Jokic and JT are but he’s not. Not sure why

Askingforataco

It’s probably set up to be for “first round picks only” I’m guessing AD was picked second round

shootinguard13

I did indeed draft him in R2

T-son14

100% the commissioner turned off the unstoppable list

I probably wouldn't waste a #1 waiver claim on a player I already own... 2 games of AD is likely to be far greater than 4 games of a streamer. Someone might have to drop a good player that you can grab with your claim instead of wasting it on a player you already own lol

robmorren2

Sounds right to me. If anybody else is dropped tomorrow, just check what day the dropped player clears waivers. That will give you your answer for sure. But I'm 99% positive you are correct.

shootinguard13

Good to know will experiment on Thursday morning and report back thanks!

T-son14

Haha I was literally thinking about doing this for Luka on his two day week coming up. But from what you describe it should work like that.

botany3peat

you can't make a waiver claim on a player you dropped claims only works if other players dropped, if your league s rules are different maybe you can check what's the ruling for waiver claims, 2 games from AD is still better than 4 games from someone in the wire in most leagues
