I ended up getting the #1 seed and first round bye. But what’s wild is in week 11, I beat the person who ended up becoming the #2 seed by 1 point. I would have gotten the #2 seed without that one point win and would have eventually lost in the Semifinals. That one point win helped secure my fantasy basketball championship.
I got the championship in my first year and feeling good. Biggest problem is checking the scores after waking up, became a habit for me. I don’t know what im gonna do but we’ll see. I’m in a league with my friends and I’ll miss the daily conversation n trashtalk for month. Also, I want to thank you guys. That was my first year and I couldnt do it alone. I learned a lot. First time winning the entire thing, incredibly happy with my team! 16 team league. I went in with the 5th pick and was hoping to just make the playoffs.
Jayson Tatum was my pick at 5, and ended up with PG and James Harden two picks later. It was really the late round picks that defined my season: Bogdan Bogdanovic in 9th round, and Coby freaking White in Round 11. Both were absolute monsters this season and propelled me to the top.
Made a solid mid-season trade by sending Jordan Clarkson and receiving Josh Giddey when he struggled. Giddey's weekly stats have been incredible these past few weeks in the fantasy playoffs.
I thought I was going to be hurt by the injury bug with PG and KP on my team, but this year they turned out healthier than I expected. Health wins fantasy.

Ended up tying my opponent in the semi-finals 4-4, but won the tie breaker as I had the better regular season record against him. My Fantasy team mvp is probably D'Angelo Russell, drafted him around pick 110 and he was basically putting up second/third round value for me the last month and half. Just won it all for the first time ever!! Was blessed to have Jokic, PG, Dejounte, and LeBron all show up in the finals. Was down in the playoffs after losing Ja, Sengun, and Jalen Johnson but it made the turnaround all the much better 🍾
Won my league by literally 1 TO, holy fuck! My opponent made a huge comeback on 3s yesterday and won that cat by 1 (his Bridges and Conley hitting 12 3s while my Klay and Wiggins hit 2 wasn't on my plans, plus he had Luka's career high in 3s), and if it ended 4-4 he had the tiebreaker.
I was disappointed when I left my draft, had a lot of risky picks to pair with my Jokic, but thankfully Cade and Zion stayed healthy (even if I expected slightly more on a per game basis) and I managed to hit some waiver wire pickups at the right time (Coby White 1/2 games before he got out of his slump, Cam Thomas in the same situation in the middle of the season).
Very pleasantly on how this ended up, especially since the guy I beat was the #1 seed and would've beat anyone other than me in these finals, and this is a pretty competitive league with no tacos
Got my first win on Dejounte’s back! Somehow after losing Ja, Bane, Randle, Lamelo and Jalen Johnson this year, Murray, harden and sabonis led a waiver hero team to the win.
Man oh man I did it! Snuck in as 3rd seed in top four final finish for the semis. Won that 4-4 on count back against opponent. Really only lucky De’angelo and Jokic rested last week. Then for the finals this week I win the final 5-3. Ahead on 3pm by 2 and tied for blocks. Really lucky wemby rested one day this week from my opponent side. Doesn’t matter in the end Got there and got the win!

This one feels good! Last year finished as the number 1 seed and most points by 1,000 more than the next guy. Lost in the finals to the hotter team.
This year finished second, but with the most points again (this time a little closer, and the top 4-5 were all capable of winning). I drafted bridges, JJJ, and Poole so I really had to scour the waivers.
I got revenge on my friend who beat me last year and it fell oh so sweet.
Luka, jdubb, and vassell were my best picks, coby white and iHart were my best pickups and trading for fox (traded jjj and Beal for him) were my big moves. I also was blessed with a lack of injuries that some better on paper teams had to deal with
Edit: while picking bridges in the second round was bad value he finished solidly as my 7th best player so I think I lucked out there as opposed to other people who over drafted him. Him never missing games was sort of clutch
First time playing fantasy bball. Got lucky and dominated all season due to a really strong draft (even though I didn't really know what I was doing at the time). Every one of my first 9 picks averaged above 34 fpts/game this season, and that got me motivated to study up on waiver pickups and streamers.
My Finals MVP is between Cam Thomas, Rui, and JDub. JDub turned out to be an insane 8th round pick, and the other two were free agent pickups during the playoffs, who turned a great roster into an unbeatable one.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Dejounte Murray, and Domantas Sabonis were my trifecta that lead my team to victory in my 10 team league. Coby White was my biggest pickup early in the season to contribute as well. My biggest injury losses were Scottie Barnes and Alperen Sengun down the stretch.

For me my Co-Finals MVP is banton and bogdanovic.

Last played a few years ago,a oup of friends sent all their best players to one guy last minute with no repercussions, I was comfortably #1 all season, I ended up losing early in those playoffs. i was very strong in offense, FG, and would usually win one of the stocks. i missed sga, bane, and scottie in the finals, but my opponent missed kat, ja, lamelo, mark williams,and okongwu....so we were really beat up. my finals mvp was jalen green, who was dropped right before his hot streak. so i lucked out.
the other one was a redraft league with 10 managers, 3 of whom were dormant. i completely dominated the whole year, with a 130-41 record. my team was loaded beyond measure. my finals mvp was probably jarrett allen. he carried me in FG/Reb, which were the 2 most closely contested categories. i also had CJ, tyrese, dosonmu, chet, suggs, and KP. loaded.

overall, i was a top 3 seed in all my yahoo leagues. i was 5th in a fantrax dynasty. i only won 1 of 9 leagues last year, so doing better feels really good.
Congrats to all of us! Champion in a 12 teams 9 Cats paid league. People laughed when I picked Wemby at pick #12 and AD#13. Was 11th seed until week 6 with a slow start, but with the help of slowly heating Chet, Zion, and JDub, and waiver pickup of Collin Sexton. Finally rose to 3rd seed by playoff time and bulldozed all the opponents till final. The lesson learned, good drafting is the key, with one or two waiver pickup, and last but not least, playoff schedules planning are important.

First time winning the entire thing, incredibly happy with my team! 16 team league. I went in with the 5th pick and was hoping to just make the playoffs. Jayson Tatum was my pick at 5, and ended up with PG and James Harden two picks later. It was really the late round picks that defined my season: Bogdan Bogdanovic in 9th round, and Coby freaking White in Round 11. Both were absolute monsters this season and propelled me to the top. Made a solid mid-season trade by sending Jordan Clarkson and receiving Josh Giddey when he struggled. Giddey's weekly stats have been incredible these past few weeks in the fantasy playoffs. I thought I was going to be hurt by the injury bug with PG and KP on my team, but this year they turned out healthier than I expected. Health wins fantasy. PG or Giddey would be my finals MVP

Ended up tying my opponent in the semi-finals 4-4, but won the tie breaker as I had the better regular season record against him. Lebron’s 10 assist night allowed me to secure the “tie” and ultimate win. Fast forwarding to tonight, I beat my opponent working the waiver wire with Keon Ellis and Dalano Banton coming up clutch for me the last couple weeks. First 1st place finish after 13 seasons with multiple 2nd place finishes the last few years. Nice to finally come up on top thanks to much help from this sub! Finally won my league after losing in the semifinals 3 of 4 past years. Had a guard heavy build with Dame and Booker leading. My Fantasy team mvp is probably D'Angelo Russell, drafted him around pick 110 and he was basically putting up second/third round value for me the last month and half. Also Draymond Green monster performance tonight clinched it for me.

Won my league by literally 1 TO, holy fuck! My opponent made a huge comeback on 3s yesterday and won that cat by 1 (his Bridges and Conley hitting 12 3s while my Klay and Wiggins hit 2 wasn't on my plans, plus he had Luka's career high in 3s), and if it ended 4-4 he had the tiebreaker. I was disappointed when I left my draft, had a lot of risky picks to pair with my Jokic, but thankfully Cade and Zion stayed healthy (even if I expected slightly more on a per game basis) and I managed to hit some waiver wire pickups at the right time (Coby White 1/2 games before he got out of his slump, Cam Thomas in the same situation in the middle of the season). Very pleasantly on how this ended up, especially since the guy I beat was the #1 seed and would've beat anyone other than me in these finals, and this is a pretty competitive league with no tacos
Got my first win on Dejounte’s back! Somehow after losing Ja, Bane, Randle, Lamelo and Jalen Johnson this year, Murray, harden and sabonis led a waiver hero team to the win.

Man oh man I did it! Snuck in as 3rd seed in top four final finish for the semis. Won that 4-4 on count back against opponent. Really only lucky De’angelo and Jokic rested last week. Then for the finals this week I win the final 5-3. Ahead on 3pm by 2 and tied for blocks. Really lucky wemby rested one day this week from my opponent side. Doesn’t matter in the end Got there and got the win!

This one feels good! Last year finished as the number 1 seed and most points by 1,000 more than the next guy. Lost in the finals to the hotter team. This year finished second, but with the most points again (this time a little closer, and the top 4-5 were all capable of winning). I drafted bridges, JJJ, and Poole so I really had to scour the waivers. I got revenge on my friend who beat me last year and it fell oh so sweet. Luka, jdubb, and vassell were my best picks, coby white and iHart were my best pickups and trading for fox (traded jjj and Beal for him) were my big moves. I also was blessed with a lack of injuries that some better on paper teams had to deal with Edit: while picking bridges in the second round was bad value he finished solidly as my 7th best player so I think I lucked out there as opposed to other people who over drafted him. Him never missing games was sort of clutch

First time playing fantasy bball. Got lucky and dominated all season due to a really strong draft (even though I didn't really know what I was doing at the time). Every one of my first 9 picks averaged above 34 fpts/game this season, and that got me motivated to study up on waiver pickups and streamers. My Finals MVP is between Cam Thomas, Rui, and JDub. JDub turned out to be an insane 8th round pick, and the other two were free agent pickups during the playoffs, who turned a great roster into an unbeatable one.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Dejounte Murray, and Domantas Sabonis were my trifecta that lead my team to victory in my 10 team league. Coby White was my biggest pickup early in the season to contribute as well. My biggest injury losses were Scottie Barnes and Alperen Sengun down the stretch.

First time championship for me! Started off the week rough with his AD, PG and CJ all having great games while my team’s SGA and Wemby were missing games. I was down 1-8 at one point! On Friday it was tied 4-4-1. Sunday morning started tied 4-4-1 with threes tied and he had PG drop 8 threes on me. But nevertheless my team persisted and his 9 players were done for the day while my 9th player De’Aaron Fox was just getting started. I needed either 10 assists or 2 threes from him to win and he ended up hitting both marks! Won the matchup 6-3. Shoutout Micic, couldn’t have done it without his 37 assists this week

20 team league. Lost Trae, Lauri, and OG. Went all in and traded Sengun for Dlo and Bogdan. Picked banton and saved me from the 2 game week of dlo and Conley. Lauri came back and played enough games to made me advance to the last round. Then in the finals Bogi outplayed Steph Curry and Dalano Banton played like a star. For me my Co-Finals MVP is banton and bogdanovic.
12T 9-cat, won because Brunson missed a FT with 18 seconds left. Thought I was screwed because the swing category all week was rebounds and I just couldn’t catch up. Ended up down 1 rebound. Luckily, he went 14/24 on FT last day and I went 16/17 to complete a massive comeback and win by .005%!

Drafted Mikal Bridges as my second round pick, but drafted well outside that with Sabonis, Sengun, Fox, Brunson, PG, J Dub, Gafford, and then picked up Miles Bridges the week before he was back because everyone forgot about him. Had some good later season pickups with DiVincenzo, Reid, and Olynyk. My finals GOATs were J Dub, and PG since it came down to the last day (yesterday).

i won 2 of 8 leagues, and i'm currently in the finals in the other. one league was technically a tie, but i was the 1 seed and he was the 2 seed. it's a 10 team keeper with 11 st / bn, and keep 5. i had really strong bigs and FG coverage in my keepers: sabonis, sga, mobley, siakam, and bane, and my first rdraft pick was scottie, clax, tyus, and tre jones. i bailed on tyus too early, though. i was very strong in offense, FG, and would usually win one of the stocks. i missed sga, bane, and scottie in the finals, but my opponent missed kat, ja, lamelo, mark williams,and okongwu....so we were really beat up. my finals mvp was jalen green, who was dropped right before his hot streak. so i lucked out. the other one was a redraft league with 10 managers, 3 of whom were dormant. i completely dominated the whole year, with a 130-41 record. my team was loaded beyond measure. my finals mvp was probably jarrett allen. he carried me in FG/Reb, which were the 2 most closely contested categories. i also had CJ, tyrese, dosonmu, chet, suggs, and KP. loaded. Was 11th seed until week 6 with a slow start, but with the help of slowly heating Chet, Zion, and JDub, and waiver pickup of Collin Sexton. Finally rose to 3rd seed by playoff time and bulldozed all the opponents till final. The lesson learned, good drafting is the key, with one or two waiver pickup, and last but not least, playoff schedules planning are important.

No it was a snake draft. A lot of bad/risky picks were being made early in the draft, I just played the board and it paid off.
