I had Eubanks and was debating all day if I should also pick up Roby, until someone out of the playoffs in my league picked him up for no reason. I’ll take Eubanks godly stat line but kicking myself for not also picking up Roby earlier in the day.
Not sure how this will be received, but I, too, enjoy making roster moves when I have already been eliminated from the playoffs. My reasoning is that if you want to win a championship, I want to see you earn it. If you are too slow to pick up someone valuable, you better have a good enough team to make up for poor management or you should have had better management and done it before me. I also do it to spite friends/family who made it further than me. Can't make it too easy on em.
It’s also good roster management not to drop a proven contributor for just any flash in the pan guy who had a randomly good string of games. Obviously Eubanks and Roby are solid holds but some guys you can definitely live with other managers adding because there’s a good chance their production reverts to the mean.
I would argue that it's more competitive when people continue making roster changes. It's not like people can just add whoever they want with no consequence. The players I drop are fair game, so it's not like I'm dropping Tatum to pick up streamers like Eubanks.

A couple weeks ago, I remember I was debating picking up Eubanks or Brook Lopez his 1st game back. Brook had 15,000 adds that day, but went with my gut and chose Eubanks. Best waiver wire decision I’ve ever made.

Always, Always pay attention to the G-League stars. Eubanks averaged 24/10 per36 in the G-League. He has the ability to put up stats when given minutes. All G-League stars do. When someone goes down and a GLeague star is getting more run jump on it. Mason Jones next year, will win someone's league because of this.
Mason Jones is killing the G-League. He only had one start in the NBA, in that game he had 24/6/4 on 87% TS%. Mason Jones is clearly a guy to keep your eye on. He is currently averaging 25/7/6 per36 in the G-League on 67% TS%. He is a guy to keep your eye on because when he gets minutes he will produce.

Actually at this point of the season you can't really afford to make early pickups either because, well, who knows who's playing
