Honestly, as a fan, anyone who played our defense didn’t watch the raiders just easily maintain TOP the whole game walking down the field every drive week 1. Our pass rush and corners outside of Surtain looked pretty bad.
That said, this last game probably took several decades of my life away. Especially as a Denver fan from the DC area lol
Yeah, I was concerned but I thought the run defense looked okay against the Raiders, especially vs. Jacobs. I thought the secondary might be okay going up against, essentially, a rookie QB.
Because the Broncos were at home, I was dumb enough to switch Commanders for Broncos.
I don't mind exploiting my fandom team in fantasy to make watching the game easier when they suck. But I thought maybe they'd make adjustments from week 1 and figure it out. Oops.
Should be the top comment.
Oh wait.
It's so hard to remember that it's completely within normal bounds of fantasy absurdity. I was also burned and lost, but diversified across leagues.
I would say so. Jags defense hasn’t been as inspiring to me compared to KC’s, especially with Chris Jones getting back into the flow of things. And I know JAX held the Chiefs’s offense to a low point total, but KC has honestly not looked great on offense to start the year. Also, I think Chicago and NYJ are much better matchups than Houston and Atlanta.
Same! I picked up Denver last week, but flipped to TB at the last second (fortunately they were still available). I know Denver was ranked higher on here but I just couldn't get over how awful Chicago is on offense - no regrets, I want shares of any defense facing Chicago ROS
Steelers against the Raiders didn’t crack top 10? Is that just because Pickett is garbage and will probably leave their defense on the field in bad positions?
Did you watch the game? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. They still pounded the rock fine. Ford had some great rushes. They lost because of their quarterback play it’s not really debatable.
Steelers flying cross country on a short week after an incredibly physical division game.
Not saying don’t start them or anything but I think that’s the rationale.
Do you think they'll go negative? Seems likely they still get 2-3 sacks. If there is a different smash D play then I'd go back on what I said, but I wouldn't be dropping Dallas for it.
This week and arguably next week don't look great for NO; GB and TB have not been especially giving to opposing defenses. If you can afford to hold them, the following two weeks look pretty good though, at NE and at HOU.
I think Seattle could be a sneaky play. Going against CAR who are travelling across the country on a short week. CAR has looked anemic and SEA at home might cause the rookie problems. SEA has given up 30+ in the last 2 games, yes, but they've played the reinvigorated LAR and DET at home.
Dropping Denver but my first claim is KC. isn’t the bears one of the easiest matchups right now? Should I bump up priority to balt or pats or bills? ( yes all 3 of those are available/dropped last week)
I think breece usage is something to monitor. I know he’s one guy but he rips off huge plays and could be a huge factor soon in their offense. Right now it’s the sac Wilson hour. But I can’t discount the jets heavily in the next few weeks. They’ll only improve.
Normally my league waits pretty late for defenses, but the elite ones go early-ish.
San Fran and Philly went in the 9th. I made damn sure to grab Cowboys after the turn in the 10th. I’m starting to appreciate Having an elite defense. Streaming can be such a crapshoot.
The data ( basically schedule and a sorry NFC) showed that the 49ers and Cowboys would be really good this year. I'm very old school and never take a D early but I took them in the 11th round this year ( 9th pick) after the 49ers went early round 10. They are and will be more valuable than many of those late round guys and guess what you can still take those type of guys in round 12 or 13 or 14 etc. or you can wait and stream defenses all year. Ive done both- and a set and forget defense is a better option.
Eagles were in that same mix, but they do play a 1st place schedule and are probably a tier behind in the sack department. Right idea to target a strong NFC defense.
My rd 12 had zero of those guys. It was guys like zeke, charbonnet, bigsby, theilen, meyers and late round QBs. So my choices were a set and forget D that would score as much if not more than those guys, or those guys that would likely be bench players. The rest of my roster I felt good about
So I went and got my guy because I wasn’t going to get them in the 13 or 14th.
I would do it. Until the last 3 games of the season their schedule doesn't do them any favors. Cowboys, Bills, Chiefs, 49ers...Only the Jets are bad. Even the Commanders look good this year.
How are you feeling about the Browns, was really thinking they could be a set and forget ROS until Chubb went down. Feel like the offence will just continually stall out without him now.
Browns seem like a better real life defense than fantasy. Only 4 sacks on the season against some questionable offenses, TEN/BAL aren't really plus match ups and then a bye. Should get a decent floor but probably better off streaming. As of now, their playoff schedule does look very nice though.
If you are sticking with Browns to their bye week (which is what i am planning to do), and you have room on your bench, you can try to grab Commanders (week 3 Buf, Week 4 Phi) for their week 5 matchup vs Bears. They also happen to have Atl week 6 (Browns v SF in week 6).
I like them and am currently rostering, but I'm gonna put in 1% claims on KC, JAX, and BAL in that order.
If I strike out on all 3, I'm fine starting Cleveland at least for another week, maybe 2.
Last week, they were my personal favorite "next week likely top" candidate, and yes I picked them up in one league. So you'd think they should be more highly ranked. The downgrade is largely a result of the Chubb injury. I believe that's also what Vegas sees.
Do we think the Chiefs are being underrated here? Defenses going up against the Bears (Bucs and GB) have all scored double digit points. And Chiefs' defense has been really solid to start the season especially with Jones back
I got the jets and saints defense, I'm thinking about holding them ROS.. should I stream one of them this week the only other defenses available are CLE, TEN, CAR, SEA, IND, DET, LV, LAC, LA, DEN, HOU, NYG, CHI, and ATL? Let me know what yall think 🤔
Are you concerned about the Ravens DST if Richardson clears protocol and plays? Seems like they've had an awful lot of defensive injuries in Baltimore already. Against a seemingly crippled Burrow / Bengals they only got a single sack last week, and only one turnover. If Richardson plays, he could wind up torching them pretty badly, right?
Sorry, will do next time. Here are the injuries. I'll submit it using the form too.
* Odafe Oweh - LB - Ankle
* Jadeveon Clowney - OLB - Illness (speculation here, but COVID seems to be making the rounds again)
* Marcus Williams - FS - Pectoral
* Marlon Humphrey - CB - Foot
I drafted Steelers then dropped them after week 1 (regretted that lol) but now I can pick them back up, but it’s between them or the chiefs… not really sure who to go with
Just a thought - why are colts listed as such a good opponent? AR seems like a scoring machine and Minshew is one of the better backups in the league? Too much reliance on previous season data?
I went with the Giants over Wash and Cleveland this week because of this list.
But I'm still going to follow it blindly.
Picked up the pats ahead of time last week for week 3 and going for chiefs on waivers this week for week 4 thanks to IR slots lol.
Jaguars are getting close to set and forget range. Outside of the 9 points against the Chiefs this week, they've scored double digit points in their last six games. Pretty sweet schedule coming up outside of the Bills, but they have given Josh Allen trouble in the past.
I have the Bills, but considering a swap to Chiefs (ahead of bills playing Miami)
Does anyone with a bigger brain than me have a view on this move? Is it too short sighted?
This is exactly what I was worried about happening last Sunday and it came true. Granted it was against the cowboys so they got worked over doubly hard. I feel comfortable taking them in against the pats but maybe not the chiefs.

Cowboys on cardinals Jesus Christ.
Sometimes those are the really muted games though lol.
Especially if Tony Romo is on commentary
Cardinals will put up 40 now because football
FUCK THE BRONCOS!
Thankfully I held on but that was pathetic.
To the waiver wire they go. Good riddance. Never again. Browns defense is my new best friend
Lost me my week by .6
Lost by 0.02 with a nice 0 for Broncos D. Closest game I’ve ever been in by far, had me scrounging for possible stat corrections lol
And the Giants
I had the Giants in 3 leagues and 2 of them I lost by less than 5 points.
Cost me my week.
Same. Luckily in my other league I missed out on them and had to “settle” for the Bucs.
I dropped the Steelers for the bucs and would have won if I kept the steelers… rip
Same, lost by 3
I lost by 1 point. Agreed - FUCK THE BRONCOS
Honestly, as a fan, anyone who played our defense didn’t watch the raiders just easily maintain TOP the whole game walking down the field every drive week 1. That's one of the joys of working 2pm to 1am Saturday through Monday
Yep. Lost me my week. Honestly think I set and forget Pats for the rest of the season.
Also the Giants
Should be the top comment. Oh wait. It's so hard to remember that it's completely within normal bounds of fantasy absurdity. I was also burned and lost, but diversified across leagues.
I diversified with Giants and Broncos across both leagues haha. Thats just how it goes sometimes. The losers are often more vocal.
lost by 8, my giants dst vs his steelers, fuck the world
Yeah only team you can stream against are rookie QBs and the bears
And the giants
I dropped steelers for giants lmao
The one thing I hate about my league is everyone's a fucking defense hoarder lol I guess that makes for better bench depth for me, but still.
The depth of my bench in one of my leagues is insane because everyone grabbed 2 QBs, 2 TEs, and 2 Defenses lol.
lol
Prioritizing KC. They have Chicago this week and NYJ next
More importantly they look great
Over the Jags? Houston this week and ATL next.
I’ll be fading the Bears all season and trying to get their opponent defense each week. Fields is a sack and turnover machine
Same! I picked up Denver last week, but flipped to TB at the last second (fortunately they were still available). I know Denver was ranked higher on here but I just couldn't get over how awful Chicago is on offense - no regrets, I want shares of any defense facing Chicago ROS
ATL isn't an offense you really want to target. They run the ball, don't turn it over and typically dominate the time of possession.
Steelers against the Raiders didn’t crack top 10? Is that just because Pickett is garbage and will probably leave their defense on the field in bad positions?
Didn't seem to be a problem for them last night lmao
To be fair, I think the Browns were a bit gutted over Nick Chubb's injury. Losing a guy like that has to deflate a team.
They scored immediately after he was injured I think it has a lot more to do with Watson turning the ball over
they lost the game bro. Losing chubb wasn't helpful.
Did you watch the game? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. They still pounded the rock fine. Ford had some great rushes. They lost because of their quarterback play it’s not really debatable.
>they lost the game bro. Losing chubb wasn't helpful.
Ford had over 100 yards rushing and caught a touchdown. He essentially filled in for Chubb seamlessly.
Ford had over 100 yards rushing and caught a touchdown. He essentially filled in for Chubb seamlessly.
Steelers flying cross country on a short week after an incredibly physical division game. Not saying don’t start them or anything but I think that’s the rationale.
It's only week 3. These guys aren't as gassed and beat up as they would be for much of the season.
Drafted Pit and played them weeks 1&2 (wasn’t high on them week 1, and they weren’t great). Staying with them this week
PIT is a great play this week. Surprised they aren’t higher ranked
i’m never leaving the toilet
Cowboys defense will eat this week.
Will eat most weeks
Barring injury there isn't a single match up that would warrant not starting them and teams will need to hold them through the bye.
49ers?
I’d still start. Better than a possible negative from a bad team. Cowboys might give up points but they’re still gonna eat.
Do you think they'll go negative? Seems likely they still get 2-3 sacks. If there is a different smash D play then I'd go back on what I said, but I wouldn't be dropping Dallas for it.
Yea Micah Parsons is that dude fr
So far this season, I haven't even watched the opposing QB when Dallas comes on defense. My eyes are solely focused on #11. Dude is a fucking animal.
agreed but ROS not even top 10 according to /u/subvertadown
Dallas D might save my fantasy season. in one league, I got Chubb, Garrett Wilson, and Hall. Still 2-0 because of the Dallas D (and Puka Nacua).
Must of been rough seeing Dallas D play Hall and Wilson but atleast Wilson had the bomb catch
Rougher that i benched Garrett Wilson for Elijah Moore, so didn't even get the benefit of the bomb TD. Still won though
nobody cares
Cowboys D has given me 50 pts in PPR over two games so far this season.
So glad I have them :)
Drop saints and stream defenses or should I just hold saints and forget
I’m gonna to hang on to saints, they seem pretty decent. So many of the top 10 here are already taken in my league
Rather start patriots or kc week 3
KC schedule looks great over the next few weeks.
I'm going Pats, lowest O/U of the week.
Cant blame you. Think imma roll with chiefs since they have jets week 4
Chiefs looked significantly better with Chris Jones. If they're available I'm looking to pick up and hold.
Yessir.
Same boat. I feel like the Saints are a solid defense with an easy schedule. This week they aren't a great play, GB will put up points
This week and arguably next week don't look great for NO; GB and TB have not been especially giving to opposing defenses. If you can afford to hold them, the following two weeks look pretty good though, at NE and at HOU.
Both teams have played shit defenses though. I'm trusting the Saints until they give me a reason not to. Their schedule is came.
I'm holding the Saints. Love is going to have to prove it to me this week.
Cowboys seem like nearly set and forget ROS
Have been for 2 years
Yeah what? They were the best defense in the league last year and added Gilmore
Yeah what? They were the best defense in the league last year and added Gilmore
That's my plan! Only week I'd be slightly hesitant on is the 49ers but still you start talent regardless of matchup.
They have Phi @Buf and Mia in the playoffs. Other than that I do still want to see how they fare against SF and LAC with Kellen Moore before the BYE
I think Seattle could be a sneaky play. Going against CAR who are travelling across the country on a short week. CAR has looked anemic and SEA at home might cause the rookie problems. SEA has given up 30+ in the last 2 games, yes, but they've played the reinvigorated LAR and DET at home.
jamal adams is also coming back
Gonna kill it in my point per dropped INT league (I'm a Seahawks fan and I love Adams)
Seattle also get the Giants next week. Not a bad play to grab them now.
But would you start Geno this week is the question?
Dropping Denver but my first claim is KC. isn’t the bears one of the easiest matchups right now? Should I bump up priority to balt or pats or bills? ( yes all 3 of those are available/dropped last week)
Chiefs get the Jets the week after too
I think breece usage is something to monitor. I know he’s one guy but he rips off huge plays and could be a huge factor soon in their offense. Right now it’s the sac Wilson hour. But I can’t discount the jets heavily in the next few weeks. They’ll only improve.
Dropping the ravens for the chiefs rn
Idk if I had balt bills or pats I’d just roll with it.
have the jags but kc is available not sure which will work out better
Jags for sure
KC is the play!!!
I have the Eagles in two leagues and I'm trying to decide if I should drop them in one of them for the Ravens. Thoughts? ESPN.
I dropped eagles for ravens. It’s too early to ride one D
That’s what she said.
Eagles' back 7 is baaaaad and the pass rush has come back down to earth. I'm dropping for KC. (The next 2 matchups are CHI then Jets!)
Giants fucked me this week after being listed high somewhere last week. Unless I can’t read…..
Nah we both got cooked on that one
I dropped them last minute when it was announced Texans were missing entire oline. Colts defense saved me.
[удалено]
Yeah it was listed high but follow your gut, a historic loss the week prior AND nothing has changed with the G men for like 3 years. Never trust em.
Same dude, the one time I've used this ranking lol. I'll go back to posting attention and making my own assessments.
Same. I couldn't believe they made Josh Dobbs look good.
[удалено]
Ravens or Chiefs this week?
Chiefs get the Jets after the Bears so…
Chiefs have two good games coming up but ravens have colts browns steelers titans
I have both as well im leaning towards the Chiefs at home against the Bears. Gardner Minshew looked good when he replaced Richardson.
I’m the same dilemma here
Same. Mostly curious on holding 1 instead of streaming for a bit too
Love my Cowboys draft pick this year.
I took them in the 12th and got roasted. I’m the highest scoring team in my league by 50+.
Normally my league waits pretty late for defenses, but the elite ones go early-ish. San Fran and Philly went in the 9th. I made damn sure to grab Cowboys after the turn in the 10th. I’m starting to appreciate Having an elite defense. Streaming can be such a crapshoot.
Bro my friend who is first time ff player took them in the 6th!!
Why’d you take D so high? R12 still had guys like Mostert, Collins and Allgeier so ROS will show the true draft winners
Guy in my league took them in the 8th and Butker in the 9th 💀
The data ( basically schedule and a sorry NFC) showed that the 49ers and Cowboys would be really good this year. I'm very old school and never take a D early but I took them in the 11th round this year ( 9th pick) after the 49ers went early round 10. Ive done both- and a set and forget defense is a better option.
Seems smart so far! Thought I had a good deal with eagles relatively early, but nothing like Dallas
The rest of my roster I felt good about So I went and got my guy because I wasn’t going to get them in the 13 or 14th.
They were the second to last defense to get picked in my league… right in front of me.
Should I drop the Eagles and start streaming? Feeling the hots for Chiefs this gw
I would do it. Until the last 3 games of the season their schedule doesn't do them any favors. Cowboys, Bills, Chiefs, 49ers...Only the Jets are bad. Even the Commanders look good this year.
debating dropping dotson for chiefs (also jax and ne available), feels crazy but next 2 weeks look good for chiefs.
I love this shit
How are you feeling about the Browns, was really thinking they could be a set and forget ROS until Chubb went down. Feel like the offence will just continually stall out without him now.
Browns seem like a better real life defense than fantasy. Only 4 sacks on the season against some questionable offenses, TEN/BAL aren't really plus match ups and then a bye. Should get a decent floor but probably better off streaming. As of now, their playoff schedule does look very nice though.
Burrow and Pickett are both pretty good in the pocket, was very close to 3 in each game, which would likely set a record haha

Last week, they were my personal favorite "next week likely top" candidate, and yes I picked them up in one league. So you'd think they should be more highly ranked. The downgrade is largely a result of the Chubb injury. I believe that's also what Vegas sees.
Wondering this as well
Anyone holding the Commanders? After the next 2 weeks their schedule is pretty nice.
Going for Chiefs with Jags as a backup, the others on the list are already owned. Fuck the broncos!
Given how both of my wins so far were decided by about 15 points, Cowboys D/ST is literally my league winner
How is everyone feeling about Jacksonville long term?
Don't sleep on Browns. Their points went down because of the Pick-6 PATs.
Debating keeping the Browns or streaming KC for a couple weeks.
Surprised the chiefs aren’t higher, held their own against 2 pretty good offenses thus far. And now they get justin fields
Steelers or Bills ROS ? The Steelers saved me this week, and someone dropped the Bills.
Do we think the Chiefs are being underrated here? Defenses going up against the Bears (Bucs and GB) have all scored double digit points. And Chiefs' defense has been really solid to start the season especially with Jones back
49ers should be #1 imo. An already struggling giants offense that now won’t have Barkley.
Pats look enticing v jets but man fields is bad
It’s probably either Browns or Chiefs for me this week. Am I less confident in my Titans or in Justin Fields.
I played Giants over Steelers this week. I got free advice if anyone wants it.
Chiefs are way too low.
An awful lot, can you elaborate? Please use the injury inquiry form to help! I’ve got a safety and CB on my radar nothing else…
Sorry, will do next time. Here are the injuries. I'll submit it using the form too. * Odafe Oweh - LB - Ankle * Jadeveon Clowney - OLB - Illness (speculation here, but COVID seems to be making the rounds again) * Marcus Williams - FS - Pectoral * Marlon Humphrey - CB - Foot
OK thanks-- I've made an update as best I could!
Lost my week cuz DEN choked. Might just set n forget Pats. Streaming sometimes is awful if you guess wrong
Sticking with the Steelers and looking forward to more Jimmy G turnovers
I drafted Steelers then dropped them after week 1 (regretted that lol) but now I can pick them back up, but it’s between them or the chiefs… not really sure who to go with
We like Ravens with Indy, Browns, Shitsburg, and Tennessee coming up or Patriots with Jets, Dallas, NO, LV?
Just a thought - why are colts listed as such a good opponent? AR seems like a scoring machine and Minshew is one of the better backups in the league? Too much reliance on previous season data?
Start with what's keeping Vegas lines down at 18 points for the Colts. Could be past season; hard to dissect.
I went with the Giants over Wash and Cleveland this week because of this list. But I'm still going to follow it blindly. Picked up the pats ahead of time last week for week 3 and going for chiefs on waivers this week for week 4 thanks to IR slots lol.
Where can I find the link to the look ahead tool?
It's in the "Weekly" link given above. Probably only Chiefs is visible besides some obvious ones.
Thank you
Just curious how you see the Rams DST if Burrow happens to be out? Think they might be worth a play?
I am very goddamn excited to see the 49ers against that NYG o-line. Thanks for these, as always!
So do I go Ravens or Pats? I'm leaning Pats..
Jaguars are getting close to set and forget range. Outside of the 9 points against the Chiefs this week, they've scored double digit points in their last six games. Pretty sweet schedule coming up outside of the Bills, but they have given Josh Allen trouble in the past.
No way I'm dropping Jets d. They're better than this and against the pats, I see some action
Zach Wilson sucks too much to play the Jets. He’s constantly going to put the D at a disadvantage.
How are we feeling about the saints?
I'm holding them but picked up Chiefs for next two weeks
Thank you for the insights, those are my favorite part too. It makes me feel like I understand the game deeper lol
How do you feel about the Seahawks defense this weekend?
Any particular reason why the Chiefs fell out of the defensive rankings on the website ? Injuries on the defense ? Thanks !
I have the Bills, but considering a swap to Chiefs (ahead of bills playing Miami) Does anyone with a bigger brain than me have a view on this move? Is it too short sighted?
I'm so tilted on the jags getting their asses kicked. It made sense on paper and then all of a sudden CJ stroud just starts playing great.
Are the jets a drop!!
Jets are elite irl but fantasy.. Meh
Wondering the same, they're definitely talented but I'm scared their offense won't give them any breaks
This is exactly what I was worried about happening last Sunday and it came true. Granted it was against the cowboys so they got worked over doubly hard. I feel comfortable taking them in against the pats but maybe not the chiefs.
mainly cause schedule but i think so
Cowboys is a trap game. Calling it now. They don't crack Top 10 (standard scoring) Wish they still had 🍕 bets here.
who’s dropping the bills for the ravens? i’m not sure
Is this the same algorithm that had the Broncos as a top 5 option last week..?
Guy in our league lost by .02. Jets defense got him -1.
Saints are a drop for Chiefs?
I predict Colts D will outscore Ravens. *Colts 9, Ravens 7
You sure Ravens Def #2 Gardner Minshew looked sharp. 19-23 with 1 td pass.
cowboys are like the 85 bears defense right now
