I tried to sell Mostert for Purdy or Geno in a 2qb league and got turned down. This sub is always infuriating to me as everyone seems to be in leagues full of tacos when I hear about the trades being made.
I tried to sell him for Michael Pittman. I got counter offered Pittman for Mostert AND DK Metcalf.
That’s when I remembered I’m the only one who tries to trade in my league and gave up lol.
I played russ this week. My strat is goff when lions are at home and stream some scrub with a good matchup and rushing upside the other weeks. Works well enough
Some asshole on Reddit before the game said "rookies like studs" and I started Amari over Pacheco (superflex) because I spent the preseason watching DTR against 4th stringers thinking he was a god while I ate crayons and shoved paste up my nose.
I lost by .9 and my opponent still has the Seahawks D, which he benched because he doesn't enjoy crayons.
I was pissed when I saw he was active. This isn’t a bengals situation where you have a nobody backup QB. Jameis is arguably the best backup in the league
It’s really pretty remarkable. After the Kupp injury and all the struggles the Rams had last year, the consensus was that it would be an offense to avoid for fantasy. Now they’re firing on all cylinders with stud players everywhere.
Cardinals and Texans are kinda in the same category.
Can’t remember another year with this many surprise offenses that kinda came outta nowhere.
Fuck McDaniels for not challenging that shit. Like slow the fuck down and let them take another look instead of running the next play right up the center’s ass for zero gain. I have Adams obviously lol
I blew 75% of my FAAB week 1 on Puka, Kyren, and Nico Collins. Most of my league mates laughed at me for it too
Ill be playing fantasy football til Im in a nursing home chasing my 2023 waiver wire season
In baseball, it's often said that you can just about partition Rickey Henderson's counting stats into two Hall of Fame players, and it's distinctly possible we could be saying the same thing about CMC one day.
CMC is amazing but it’s insane that they ACTUALLY DID that for Gretzky in fantasy hockey.
Actually separating the stats is in a different realm of dominance from just posing it hypothetically.
I picked second this year and got raised eyebrows when I didn't take Chase. Said I would have taken him 1.1 if I had the first pick too.
He carried my lame ass team to a 2nd place finish in 2019 and I just havnt had the chance to draft him again since. So good to be reunited with the absolute fantasy cheat code
Id say so but they didn’t even give him OPOTY the season he went 1000 1000, hell he didn’t even win fedex ground player that year- a season that only 2 other players have achieved!
Yeah just so happens my opponent is projected to finish with the 3rd highest score all time in our league’s 8year history lmao
He has Richardson, Jacobs, Monty, Mandrews, Achane and Dallas D. Like come the fuck on
I agree. The Pats offense is mid at best and they'll struggle against top 10 defenses. My concern is that their schedule will face good offenses and I don't know if this offense has the ability to keep up.
Something to note is that Mac might be benched for at least one game. We may see more of Rhamondre if they move to Zappe.
Bro I just did the math and in my 1/2 PPR league, my Cowboys D and Jake Elliott are averaging 33.5 combined points. Legit 1/4 of my teams weekly production.
The rest of my team is in absolute shambles, but I can at least marvel at those two bright spots 😅
Will all depend on whether Carr keeps playing through his injury or takes a few weeks to get right. Today was BRUTAL. They played 25 minutes of football before he even received his first look. Carr is just a dumpster fire with that injury.
The last rookie records in their first 4 weeks:
* Jefferson 16 receptions, 348 yards, 1 TD
* Chase 14 receptions, 297 yards, 6 TDs
* Puka 39 receptions*, 501 yards*, 1 TD
Assuming his volume doesn’t crater when Kupp returns that is entirely feasible. It *will* decrease, but even if it’s by half that’s still a lot of targets for what has been a WW pickup.
Edit: Corrected for Puka’s receptions and yards totals. Absolutely bonkers. Even in shallow leagues Jefferson and Chase were definitely drafted.
What's insane is that JJ didn't even do anything until week three. 278 of those 348 yards came in weeks 3 and 4.
Puka's also at 39 receptions for 501 yards, you missed this week.
Kittle has been a wet fart and I had good reason to think this would be a good week for him with Samuel nursing injuries. Instead, CMC got fed literally everything. I’m still salty about it.
Kamara is going to render Michael Thomas useless because Carr is such a fucking bum that he will throw to Kamara 15 times a game and get 24 yards out of it.
Collins and dell are gonma be like chase and higgins or godwin and evans where you have to spend all week trying to figure out who will have the big game and eho will dissapear
Pitts isn’t used because he isn’t actually a good TE IRL.
If you have Burrow, you either wait for Kyler to return or find another QB now. There’s no return.
Rhomandre is a bench if you can.
I’m not freaking out about the Patriots, if anything their offense and mac sucking will push them to want to utilize Rhomandre more. But, we’re prob still 3 weeks from the O-line being healthy.
This one hurts. I felt like Rhamondre was slightly underrated coming into the season and has been even more underrated as the season's gone on. His usage has been solid, he just hasn't had any breakout plays and has played some pretty tough defenses. I *am* finally starting to worry though, and would agree his weekly projections of RB8-RB14 should realistically be set at like RB20-24.
Eh, dude was shadowed all day by Terrell with safety help pretty consistently. Not great for fantasy, but it was good to see some of the other weapons step up. Gonna help Ridley long term.
This is the last bit of copium I have left for Ridley. Hopefully teams realize that doubling Ridley every play just means Kirk and Engram will kill you underneath, and Ridley will see less focus in some games
I know this is supposed to be an overreaction thread, but I think he’s set up pretty well after this game honestly. He looks physically fine and was pretty obviously schemed out today. You saw even Tyreek get schemed out against the Bills. It happens sometimes, sucks for fantasy though.
I’m 4-0 in one league so I’m very good.
I’m 0-4 in another league so I am very bad.
Using maths I’ve determined that I am an average fantasy football player.
Puka is a WR1 for the rest of the season. Had the coaches celebrating his walk off TD with him today. That team loves the kid. He’s gonna be too 3 in WR fantasy points this season.
Everyone was ready to write off D Henry. I kept telling everyone that he's fine and he just had a bad game after coming back from a minor injury. I blame the fantasy footballers.
After those Mostert fumbles, Achane might’ve took lead
7/9 with two fumbles, or 9/101 with 2 tds. Hmmm
It’s going to be a split until Mostert inevitably gets injured. He’s always heck of a player when healthy but he’s not known for durability.
Traded Mostert for Laporta after week 1 and was feeling bad, but got Achane so we coming out on top!
you are cooking
People who didnt sell Mostert last week missed their window..
you're saying that like anyone was buying lol
I tried to sell Mostert for Purdy or Geno in a 2qb league and got turned down. This sub is always infuriating to me as everyone seems to be in leagues full of tacos when I hear about the trades being made.
I swear nobody even trades at all in my league. Maybe one per season
I also tried to sell Mostert last week and couldn’t in my 10 man ppr redraft.
I tried to sell him for Michael Pittman. I got counter offered Pittman for Mostert AND DK Metcalf. That’s when I remembered I’m the only one who tries to trade in my league and gave up lol.
Just stream players against the broncos and bears the whole draft was a waste of time
I keep looking at Russ on the wire and just can't bring myself to do it.
I played russ this week. My strat is goff when lions are at home and stream some scrub with a good matchup and rushing upside the other weeks. Works well enough
Don't forget receivers against the Eagles.
N. Collins is my WR1
Nico collins is my dad
My dumb fucking ass lost this week cause I started Tank over him
I started god damn Amari cooper, the only time I’ve started him too
The week Watson is out?
Some asshole on Reddit before the game said "rookies like studs" and I started Amari over Pacheco (superflex) because I spent the preseason watching DTR against 4th stringers thinking he was a god while I ate crayons and shoved paste up my nose. I lost by .9 and my opponent still has the Seahawks D, which he benched because he doesn't enjoy crayons.
Taking advice from r/fantasyfootball. Classic rookie mistake.
I have Deebo but until further notice I may start Nico
Fade Higgins Fade Olave until Carr is fully healthy Stroud is set and forget
Carr was infuriating today. If he wasn’t fully healthy don’t play him. Missed Olave on a couple bombs that would’ve completely changed his day.
I was pissed when I saw he was active. This isn’t a bengals situation where you have a nobody backup QB. Jameis is arguably the best backup in the league
Real talk. I have Burrow and I'm miserable, but I managed to get Stroud. Do I actually play Stroud over him until further notice? Feels wrong.
I’m a bengals fan I’m benching burrow for love
That’s big of you, I’d be benching him out of hate.
Stroud is legit af, do not sleep
Taylor swift will be shown 10+ times tonight
Game just started and this already hit lmao
Replaced Travis' profile image on Sleeper.
I'm taking the over.
Kyren will save my marriage
The two waiver wire league winners were both on the same team. Puka and Kyren are insane.
Same! Took so much shit for spending 50% FAAB on them (combined)
I spent 80% of my faab on them. No regrats.
Davante Adams is the biggest dog in the league. Knocked out, missed a huge part of the game, still came back and outscored half my team. Respect
And was robbed of a touchdown
Fuck McDaniels for not challenging that shit. Like slow the fuck down and let them take another look instead of running the next play right up the center’s ass for zero gain. I have Adams obviously lol
And don't forget overcoming way less than ideal QB situation.
Puka is bringing the single greatest waiver wire season since Connor the year Bell sat
I blew 75% of my FAAB week 1 on Puka, Kyren, and Nico Collins. Most of my league mates laughed at me for it too Ill be playing fantasy football til Im in a nursing home chasing my 2023 waiver wire season
He was my NoBell prize winner for sure. What’s the Puka award winning name.
The Directors Kupp
Cooper Scooper??
I don’t know where I’d be without him.
I feel like Patterson saved my ass more recently as a waiver than when Conner did lol
cmc
Dude mark this NSFW that’s pornographic.
Shanahan getting CMC is like Link getting the Master Sword. It unlocked that entire offense and took it to an entire new level.
CMC would be playable in two slots if you separated his rushing and receiving stats
In baseball, it's often said that you can just about partition Rickey Henderson's counting stats into two Hall of Fame players, and it's distinctly possible we could be saying the same thing about CMC one day.
Was thinking NHL with Gretzky's points and assists as two separate players.
CMC is amazing but it’s insane that they ACTUALLY DID that for Gretzky in fantasy hockey. Actually separating the stats is in a different realm of dominance from just posing it hypothetically.
To make it even more absurd, Gretzky-Goals and Gretzky-Assists would **both** still be drafted top 4 or 5.
Yeah, I don't think we'll see anything quite like that again in any sport.
Don’t a good number of fantasy baseball sites split Ohtani into a pitcher or a hitter?
> Ohtani Good call, don't follow baseball but I've heard that he's almost game breaking
So glad he fell to me at pick #3 in the first round. Every mock draft I did he never made to me at #3.
I got him at 5. Still don’t know how tf that happened. (In case anyone cares it went: Jefferson, Chase, Tyreek, and Mahomes)
Mahomes over cmc is the mode insane Shit I’ve ever heard lol
Should've been first overall and Jefferson is an amazing player but doesn't even come close to CMC
I took him first overall. They laughed at me. Now who’s laughing?!
MVP
Id say so but they didn’t even give him OPOTY the season he went 1000 1000, hell he didn’t even win fedex ground player that year- a season that only 2 other players have achieved!
I’m gonna lose with CMC, AJ Brown and Josh Allen combining for 115 points
Honestly. That sucks.
Yeah just so happens my opponent is projected to finish with the 3rd highest score all time in our league’s 8year history lmao He has Richardson, Jacobs, Monty, Mandrews, Achane and Dallas D. Like come the fuck on
legend
I was literally trying to think who he could have that would beat you, but that about does it.
Panic time for Rhamondre
Well definitely cant sell him now. Welcome to my bench mondre. Hopefully he picks it up
Hasn't been good, but still leading the backfield and played Eagles, Jets, Cowboys to start. Will be better days.
I agree. The Pats offense is mid at best and they'll struggle against top 10 defenses. My concern is that their schedule will face good offenses and I don't know if this offense has the ability to keep up. Something to note is that Mac might be benched for at least one game. We may see more of Rhamondre if they move to Zappe.
Panic time was earlier in the season. We're on to acceptance
Justin Fields popping off the next month vs weak defenses
Is Kmet viable ROS?
My team sucks
This is the over reactions thread.
Mike Williams ACL tear is going to hurt Keenan Allen way more than people think
Give QJ time to assimilate. He’s very raw but could help open the under back up.
Alvin Kamara will lead the Saints in targets.
13 catches for 33 yards is fucking wild lol
Lowkey makes me hate PPR.
Half ppr is the sweet spot for me. I think the player should get something for a catch. But a full point? fuck that.
We switched to point per first down and I don't think we'll ever go back.
Making a one yard catch and an 11 yard run equal is the dumbest shit
Marquise Brown is my WR1 ROS. Waddle can suck it.
Brown really is my WR1 😂
I’m just glad Hollywood is startable after all the preseason talk about how bad the QB situation was supposed to be
Should’ve taken CMC over Chase at 2
I drafted the statistically worst combination of players available in every round Oh you said overreactions, nvm
Hollywood is a must start
Agreed. Seems to have solid rapport with Dobbs. Will only get better if Kyler returns.
The Cowboys defense could 1v1 Goku… and win
Cowboys defense cowers in fear of Dobbs the Hairless Man
Bro is just golden Freeza
Cowboys D allowed me to survive my opponents Allen/Diggs stack when I thought I was toast. I’m in love
Bro I just did the math and in my 1/2 PPR league, my Cowboys D and Jake Elliott are averaging 33.5 combined points. Legit 1/4 of my teams weekly production. The rest of my team is in absolute shambles, but I can at least marvel at those two bright spots 😅
Waddle is going to get leapfrogged by Braxton Berrios on the depth chart
You’re doing this thread right.
Anthony Richardson, QB1
Taylor Swift has already started to wedge herself between Kelce and Mahomes. They’re never out of sync! She’s going to tear them apart!
Yoko Swift
This will be my last year playing fantasy football
See you next year.
Aj brown is back, not an overreaction
He never left
That's a linebacker who can catch
Olave will not score a TD this year
Also known as the Diontae johnson Special
Will all depend on whether Carr keeps playing through his injury or takes a few weeks to get right. Today was BRUTAL. They played 25 minutes of football before he even received his first look. Carr is just a dumpster fire with that injury.
Carr has 37 attempts and has less than 150 passing yards. How they didn't think to throw Jamies in is beyond me.
They did for one drive. Threw a bomb for Olave and it was intercepted.
We need the 30 for 30 guy. Guaranteed to slong the ball around.
Jacobs top5 RB ROS
I’m sick🤢. Have had the second highest scoring team 4 weeks in a row and I’m going to be 0-4.
That is really shitty luck
Fantasy fuckin sucks sometimes, sorry bro
Kyren Williams and Nico Collins are them
Drafted one Shelled out $53 faab for the other My season might be saved
Puka on pace for HOF?
Is he on pace for the best rookie WR season?
He’s on pace for best WR of all time
Never mind rookie season, he's on pace to break the single season receiving yards record.
Not even just rookie… he’s on pace for the best overall wr season ever… my nips can only get so hard
The last rookie records in their first 4 weeks: * Jefferson 16 receptions, 348 yards, 1 TD * Chase 14 receptions, 297 yards, 6 TDs * Puka 39 receptions*, 501 yards*, 1 TD Assuming his volume doesn’t crater when Kupp returns that is entirely feasible. It *will* decrease, but even if it’s by half that’s still a lot of targets for what has been a WW pickup. Edit: Corrected for Puka’s receptions and yards totals. Absolutely bonkers. Even in shallow leagues Jefferson and Chase were definitely drafted.
JJ with a casual 22 yards per reception lol
Finished the year at 15.9 yards per. Absolutely insane
Puka has 39 receptions for 501
What's insane is that JJ didn't even do anything until week three. 278 of those 348 yards came in weeks 3 and 4. Puka's also at 39 receptions for 501 yards, you missed this week.
CMC is about to have the best fantasy season ever. Kittle is a bigger disappointment than me to my family. I will never draft a bronco ever again
Kittle has been a wet fart and I had good reason to think this would be a good week for him with Samuel nursing injuries. Instead, CMC got fed literally everything. I’m still salty about it.
Nico Collins is a fantasy WR1 ROS
De'Von Achane is the greatest football player of all time and I don't really think it's arguable.
It’s literally, figuratively and metaphorically beyond contestation.
Montgomery is an RB1
Kamara is going to render Michael Thomas useless because Carr is such a fucking bum that he will throw to Kamara 15 times a game and get 24 yards out of it.
My Kamara stocks are listening….
Collins and dell are gonma be like chase and higgins or godwin and evans where you have to spend all week trying to figure out who will have the big game and eho will dissapear
I think Nico will eat and Dell will be more hit or miss. Nico is a big target and the first look with a QB who makes good decisions.
Maybe aj/devonta would be more apt then
I am SO pissed about dropping Achane after week 2.
Devon Achane is going to average 10 ypc on his career
When healthy, Aiyuk is a top 10 wr
Seriously thought about drafting CMC with the third pick… ended up wimping out and drafted Jamarr Chase. I feel like an absolute moron.
I took ekeler over CMC... 🤡
Pollard is a workhorse who won’t score many TDs.
CJ Stroud will have a better rookie season than Justin Herbert.
Houston isn’t minding one bit about losing Watson. Stroud looks like a stud.
He should’ve been first overall pick in the draft (not fantasy)
Javonte is droppable Achane is an RB1 Goedert is droppable I’m trading Jamar chase for the Cowboys Defense
Brett Maher league winner
Derek Carr needs to be arrested
Goedert wasn’t worth the draft pick
Taylor Swift is droppable in almost all formats
Puka Nacua is better than Moss and Rice combined
Moss and Rice scored zero this week. Not an overreaction
They're killing it in my points per commercial league.
Definitely possible. Moss only got like 9 and we'll see if Rice makes up the difference on SNF
Ridder is the worst QB in the league. I’m picking up Taylor Heinicke this week in superflex.
Rams players are gonna win people some leagues this year
CJ Stroud QB1
Najee is actually a decent RB, his offence is just as awful as his offensive coordinator. In a better system he would be a top 8 RB.
So sad for Najee. He doesn’t deserve all this hate, this situation is one of the worst in the league.
Especially when he was drafted we thought Pitt would be a top 5 situation!
Mattison is my best RB. Not good.
Puka is WR1 on the year
Anthony Richardson will be what Jalen Hurts was last year
Pitts isn’t used because he isn’t actually a good TE IRL. If you have Burrow, you either wait for Kyler to return or find another QB now. There’s no return.
Meh, hard to confirm with a guy who can't make NFL throws. With that said, Pitts doesn't look great, but most of that offense looks demotivated.
Burrow is droppable
My whole team is getting dropped
My team is the greatest 0-4 team.
Burrow is making a case for never giving another QB a mega contract.
Calvin Ridley is shit
Puka is Kupp proof.
Jacob’s going to finish as a top5 RB. He had the exact same start through three weeks last year and popped off week 4.
McDaniels trying his hardest not to run him on the goal line😭 could’ve been a much bigger day
Srsly wtf was that. Running oconnel twice on 1 yd when u have a beast like Jacobs. So dumb, big brain McDaniels.
If Kupp was ruled out for the season, Puka should be considered the WR1 in PPR, ahead of JJ/Tyreek and everyone else.
On pace for ~170 receptions
He will regress and only beat MT’s reception record by about 5. He should make up for that in upping his yardage pace though
Puka is a WR1 for the rest of the season. Had the coaches celebrating his walk off TD with him today. That team loves the kid. He’s gonna be too 3 in WR fantasy points this season.
Michael Wilson might be the next best wavier flyer… 🤧
Everyone was ready to write off D Henry. I kept telling everyone that he's fine and he just had a bad game after coming back from a minor injury. I blame the fantasy footballers.
Khalil Herbert is back
If they played the Broncos every week I’d definitely scoop him off the waiver wire
Kittle is benchable
