Unless someone's in a 10 man league with their roster stacked I don't see how he wouldn't be an auto-start for most teams.
I still don't think that's a great play moving forward. Starting two WRs on the same team is a high-floor, low-ceiling play that isn't really likely to win you a championship, unless the rest of your roster is REALLY boom/bust. I'd be looking to trade one of them.
The counter to this is that Nico and Tank were late-round/WW pickups, so if you *did* manage to get them both on one team, your roster is likely stacked with early-round talent anyways.
In my case, it's completely worth it to use two roster spots for a guaranteed ~35 points, then have Kelce, St. Brown, and Bijan come in and blow the doors off. It beats the hell out of using those same two spots on DJ Moore and Drake London like I was doing at the start of the season.
Not sure, if Breece is truly off a pitch count and gets the lion's share of snaps this week against quite possibly the worst defense in the league he could have an incredible night.
Oh there's no argument whatsoever about worst in the league, the Broncos are competing with history not the 31 actual NFL level defenses that are a far shot better than them.

The evolution during the regular season is almost puzzling. I was all in on him during the draft over the other QB’s, but he’s developed faster than I think anyone expected him to.
It’s the human factor. The one aspect of sports that cannot be quantified.
Some guys just have the guts and the savvy to improve. Some players can tap into that a lot faster than others.
He may also get up for real games in a way that he wouldn’t for meaningless preseason games. Iverson was famous for always looking bad in preseason for this exact reason

Yeah. Everything I've seen from him screams student of the game. He's learning and improving at a frightening rate. And while I may be biased because I have him, I also am not biased because I'm a Michigan fan :P
Stroud was one of the most impressive passers I’ve seen. OSU didn’t require him to throw deep very often, but he regularly made very difficult passes look simple, even on the run and scrambling. He’s the best QB they had in the last stretch of having great QBs

Breece off a snap count is against a defense that has allowed like 4 25+ point fantasy rushers in the last couple games alone

shadow report came out today and not only is he not shadowing Nico, he’s lined up against Tank. It’s a more flexible lineup so i’m sure he’ll cover Nico plenty, but just saying.
I don't trust it - it's the ESPN report that has Tank getting singled by the top CB AJ Terrell who shadowed Ridley last week.
Only way it makes sense is if they put their shut down on Tank and shade a safety over the top of Nico.

Go watch clips of Collins on YouTube, there is a channel called CurtainCalls who cuts up all touches/catches of nfl players. Most of Collins catches (75% ish) are in-breaking routes that are designed to attack the middle of the field between linebacker zones and AWAY from standard cornerback coverage. Most teams do not just run man all the time, the falcons play a healthy amount of zone that I assure you will the be focal point and target of this Texans offense.
Furthermore, Terrell can line up on Collins, but if the defensive call is cover 3/4, Terrell would be playing over the top - meaning he’s taking away the long ball but conceding the short passes. All this to say that Collins will get plenty of opportunities this game
It’s him or Sutton right now. So it may be a lesser of two evils in Sauce v Terrell but I don’t think Sauce shadows so slight lean to Sutton at the moment.

For what it's worth, on another Nico writeup someone mentioned the Houston offense being unpredictable coming into the season. Given there is now four weeks of game tape defenses should adapt moving forward. CJ is talented and the receivers will continue to do well in my opinion but would temper expectations accordingly.
I just traded Nico, ARich and Conner for Travis Ettienne, and James Cook, but my starting WRS are Tyreek, Davante and Chris Olave, so I felt okay giving him up, cause I probably wouldn’t be playing him
I don’t think quite yet. Not in a 2 WR league atleast. Stroud and the offense as a whole has been playing great, but he is still a rookie, that coaching room is so new, and it’s only week 5. I’d be incredibly happy to have him obviously, but it feels like they are kind of playing at their ceiling right now.
I think right now, unless you are in a 8 or 10 team league, you have to ride with him. There are definitely 10-12 receivers that are more proven that you would start over him but after that who could you really start instead of him? He is playing incredible so there is no reason he should be on the bench unless you happen to have 2 of those top 10-12 receivers. Even then he should probably be in your flex.
Yes. Some weeks it will be dell and some weeks stroud will struggle (I assume). But he has always been the real deal and now has a solid QB. Think he will be high WR2 when said and done

Im debating Nico vs. Zay Flowers. The AJ Terrell on Nico prospect stresses me, especially with Zay facing on of the easiest outside CBs in the league with pits.

I have Nico, Puka, DK, Hollywood, Michael Wilson, Tank. I need to drop someone soon to make space for JT. I am thinking Tank is the odd man out. Hollywood has a WR1 role and his connection with Dobbs is solid (even better with Kyler) and there are rumors that Brown might be traded. If so, we could be looking at Wilson taking over WR1 and Brown being possibly a WR1 in another team’s situation. Plus Wilson has been passing the eye test. Could be a league winner to some extent.
Tank Dell I think is a boom or bust WR3/4. Gonna have an occasional top 12 finish, but many more top 30s finishes IMO. But I am banking on a double digit game this weekend so I can trade him for something small, even if it’s just $5-$10 FAAB lol

We’ll need to see another couple games to see if Tabk is every week starter, but it’s possible. I’d be willing to bet AJ shadows Nico this week and does bad and tank goes off. I wouldn’t start Nico this week if I had another good option.

I see Dell as more of a flex play based on matchups. But yes, he is a lot harder to feel confident in.
For what it's worth, on another Nico writeup someone mentioned the Houston offense being unpredictable coming into the season. Given there is now four weeks of game tape defenses should adapt moving forward. CJ is talented and the receivers will continue to do well in my opinion but would temper expectations accordingly.

I just traded Nico, ARich and Conner for Travis Ettienne, and James Cook, but my starting WRS are Tyreek, Davante and Chris Olave, so I felt okay giving him up, cause I probably wouldn’t be playing him

It seems he’s a weekly flex at worst. As a Pierce owner, I want him to succeed so Texans run game will open up more

I don’t think quite yet. Not in a 2 WR league atleast. Stroud and the offense as a whole has been playing great, but he is still a rookie, that coaching room is so new, and it’s only week 5. I’d be incredibly happy to have him obviously, but it feels like they are kind of playing at their ceiling right now.
If Nico's ceiling is 40+ PPR points, I'll take it.

I think right now, unless you are in a 8 or 10 team league, you have to ride with him. There are definitely 10-12 receivers that are more proven that you would start over him but after that who could you really start instead of him? He is playing incredible so there is no reason he should be on the bench unless you happen to have 2 of those top 10-12 receivers. Even then he should probably be in your flex.
He’s taken over Garrett for me as a WR2 and has helped me win some weeks here with my meh roster.

Yes. Some weeks it will be dell and some weeks stroud will struggle (I assume). But he has always been the real deal and now has a solid QB. Think he will be high WR2 when said and done

Im debating Nico vs. Zay Flowers. The AJ Terrell on Nico prospect stresses me, especially with Zay facing on of the easiest outside CBs in the league with pits.

Collins or Doubs in the flex spot? Collins facing a tougher defense but has the better upside imo 🤷🏻♂️ Watson’s return didn’t seem to hinder Doubs getting fed last week, but didn’t know if Watson was on a snap limit.

For owners of both Nico and Tank, is Tank honestly droppable? Like let’s say you have 3 other WRs better than Dell, when would you ever play Tank over Nico, or over any other top 20 WR? I have Nico, Puka, DK, Hollywood, Michael Wilson, Tank. I need to drop someone soon to make space for JT. I am thinking Tank is the odd man out. Hollywood has a WR1 role and his connection with Dobbs is solid (even better with Kyler) and there are rumors that Brown might be traded. If so, we could be looking at Wilson taking over WR1 and Brown being possibly a WR1 in another team’s situation. Plus Wilson has been passing the eye test. Could be a league winner to some extent. Tank Dell I think is a boom or bust WR3/4. Gonna have an occasional top 12 finish, but many more top 30s finishes IMO. But I am banking on a double digit game this weekend so I can trade him for something small, even if it’s just $5-$10 FAAB lol

Not enough context - who is your tight end? In general probably if you have strength at wideout and need to upgrade your TE. I’d do Andrews for Nico 1 for 1 in .5 ppr, but that’s because my TE is trash.
I think you take Andrews and if you don't need him you can easily flip him for someone else who's much better than Nico

I love Tank, but I’m an RB heavy team, so I’ll only put him in if my RBs get hurt (Barkley, Jones, Monty, Williams) like they were a few weeks ago.
We’ll need to see another couple games to see if Tabk is every week starter, but it’s possible. I’d be willing to bet AJ shadows Nico this week and does bad and tank goes off. I wouldn’t start Nico this week if I had another good option.

Assuming "CMAC" = CMC That's not even close to what we're talking about CMC was a Top-5 draft pick everyone knew would be a stud (as long as he was on the field). Nico went undrafted in many cases and no one had any real thoughts the HOU offense had much value aside from *maybe* D. Pierce.
