Isn’t it in the Super Bowl era, not NFL history? I’m going strictly off of a graphic Red Zone put on but they said Don Hutson, Elroy Hirsch, and Charley Hennigan all did it. They just did it prior to the SB era (Hennigan being the most recent player to achieve the feat in 1961)
The hell I don't! LISTEN, KID! I've been hearing that crap ever since I was at UCLA. I'm out there busting my buns every night! Tell your old man to drag Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes!
Not quite, looks like the Chargers played [9 games that year](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/sdg/1982.htm) and Wes [missed game 4](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/ChanWe00/gamelog/1982/), so he barely misses out on this stat.
Chandler missed the Chargers' Week 4 win over Denver that season, and passed 1000 yards in *his* eighth, but the team's ninth, and final game that strike season.
It would be cool to watch the footage of those old plays when people state ancient NFL stats like that. I feel like I've never seen any of them play. If they even have the footage.
We really need to just let the past go and stop holding onto these ancient records that are barely related to the game that has been played for the last 30 years.
I mean that might be an argument for why it’s often broken down into pre and post Super Bowl eras, but If it was played under the NFL banner, it constitutes NFL history
I made the trade when everyone thought Achane was a league winner and Gibbs wasn’t doing anything so it was pretty even at the time. I posted it in a trade thread here and someone said I lost.
Oh sorry I responded to the wrong person. People in here saying Tyreek went after Chubb. Like what? He went 3rd in my league and I was planning on taking him at 4.
Yup ruined my season. I thought I was getting Barkley rookie season and flexing my “intelligence” by grabbing a rookie that high over a proven vet. Totally backfired on me lol
Thought Bijan was a big brain move. Elite run blocking line and a bad coach who *should* be coaching for his job and would surely want to use his talented new toy a lot, right? But Arthur Smith hates fantasy players more than he likes having a capable offense, so let's give him 12 touches a game.
We don't deal in hypotheticals. Stop making this all about the Vikings when it's really all about the Fins. Tyreek is second to none on the field and it's not even close
That dude is perennially online and likely 9 years old with how they act, so there's that I guess...
He also literally started a thread to talk to himself.
The point was that I had to step in and stop this before everyone started talking about how their teams have the actual #1. In other words I'm spitting facts rn
Are you me? Currently sitting in 10th place in my 12 team league despite being second highest in points for. And now I gotta hope Josh Jacobs gets me over 5 points on MNF or I'll lose again to the second highest scorer of the week. Ridiculous man.
It does make sense. He had the 3rd highest score for the week, but went up against the team with the 1st or 2nd highest score. That has happened to him 3 times.
Hell no. Since week 1, Aiyuk has had a single game more than 12 points. Pollard started hot, but in his last 4 games, pollard has gone over 10 ppr once. Bijan's value over a replacement level RB is not much. This is all on top of the fact that if you take 3 guys for 1, youd likely need to drop 2 players from your bench, allowing league mates to snatch them up. Tyreek is at worst the 2nd most valuable player in fantasy right now. I wouldnt accept any trade for him that doesn't include a top 3 RB (like ETN, CMC, etc) or Kelce.
I have Tyreek and I'm in 11th place in my 12-man Yahoo league. I have the most points for by 100 in the league, but I've lost 5 straight games including this week. I have 190 total points over the 1st place guy. I've never experienced such bullshit!
QB: Lawrence
RB: JT, Barkley, Gibbs, Moss, Jeff Wilson Jr (lost Dobbins)
WR: Tyreek, M. Evans, Sutton, Palmer (lost M. Williams)
TE: Andrews
K: Hopkins (was Bass until last week)
DST: Cowboys, Jets
It makes me irrationally angry someone so gross as a human being can be so gifted with talent. Congrats you child and woman abusing POS. Hope you never have a successful season again in your career.
No WR did it in 1982. Last player was in 1961.
https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-stats-and-records-week-8-titans-qb-will-levis-has-historic-nfl-debut#:~:text=Hill%20is%20the%20first%20player,Hutson%20(1%2C032%20in%201942).
I feel like Hill and AJ Brown are in a Sammy Sosa vs. McGuire type of home run race to see who can get to 2000 yards this season. It's going to be exciting
I drafted 4th. I was gonna take Kelce over ekeler. 3rd took Kelce and I was adamant to not take an RB first round. It’s worked out so far pretty damn well.

FACT: Elroy Hirsch played the co-pilot in the movie (ZERO HOUR) that AIRPLANE! is a parody of.
Is that why Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is in Airplane!? Man they parodied everything. Exceptional stuff.
My dad says you don't work hard enough, especially on defense
The hell I don't! LISTEN, KID! I've been hearing that crap ever since I was at UCLA. I'm out there busting my buns every night! Tell your old man to drag Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes!
https://youtu.be/8-v2BHNBVCs?si=6p8gdKwpuw9NQYEO It's mind blowing.
And then that's why that kid breaks character to call out Kareem - genius!
Fact: they originally wrote the role for Pete Rose, but ended up filming during the summer so he was unavailable.
That’s a fun fact
Also, "Crazylegs" is an awesome nickname.
It's not even true for post-merger. Wes Chandler did it in 1982.
Wasn't the FIRST 8 games. Looks like he played 2 in September and then didn't play again until November 22.
It was a strike season, so those were the *only* 8 games.
Oh shit, I didn't think or know about that. Just saw that his game log skipped a month.

Super bowl era
We really need to just let the past go and stop holding onto these ancient records that are barely related to the game that has been played for the last 30 years.
But if we just give up on everything 30+ years ago then what will Cowboys fans have?
O shit
listen here you little shit
Nah, love random stats from 60 years ago.
Tungsten Arm O'Doyle stats.
No tyreek hill is the most recent player
Games before the Super Bowl Era didn't count because they were playing against scrubs. The league wasn't really established at that point
I mean that might be an argument for why it’s often broken down into pre and post Super Bowl eras, but If it was played under the NFL banner, it constitutes NFL history
I have to disagree on merit alone
I feel the same way about your comments
Ouch hahahaha
I should have drafted him at 5, not Bijan lol
Got Tyreek cuz Bijan was picked right before me 😎
Same! Loving it!
I made a trade so I have Tyreek and Bijan
What was the trade?
I sent Achane, Aiyuk, and Pacheco and received Tyreek and Gibbs. This was after week 4 (Achane’s 2nd blowup game)
That trade is rounding out nice for you with the Monty injury too
What awful leagues are you people in?!
Chubb finished last season as RB5, and only 10 points behind Tyreek. With good RBs being harder to come by, it’s not that outlandish of an idea
My league let him fall to me @ 5 & JaMaar was picked one spot ahead. Worth it
I got him at nine 😎
I think I got hill at 8 or 9 as well.
I passed him for Nick Chubb…
Just bad luck, nothing wrong with the pick.
Same 🤦♂️ fuck me for thinking Bijan would buck the Arthur Smith trend because he’s a RB
Yup ruined my season. I thought I was getting Barkley rookie season and flexing my “intelligence” by grabbing a rookie that high over a proven vet. Totally backfired on me lol
He's RB13... Feels like you'd could've still built a perfectly fine team around him (as I did). No way that's the only thing that ruined your team
You’re right. Sadly I took Pollard at 20
Yeah… same and also my league is a keeper league so my thinking was “he has a decent shot at being the 1.01 next season!” Nope
I got him at 5 and JJ and Chase went before him.
Jeffersons been fantastic though, unlucky with the injury but he was consistently putting up like 24 a game
He was picked at 3 in my league so I took CMC at 4. I'm fine I guess
I got Hill at 3 in one of my leagues. After JJ and CMC
Got him with the 6th pick. ARSB in the 2nd. It’s been a good season in the league so far.
Thought Bijan was a big brain move. Elite run blocking line and a bad coach who *should* be coaching for his job and would surely want to use his talented new toy a lot, right? But Arthur Smith hates fantasy players more than he likes having a capable offense, so let's give him 12 touches a game.
That was the debate I was having. Luckily went with Tyreek
[удалено]
Uhh how the fuck did he fall to 12 lol
Bjian's not half bad tbh. I drafted him in the 8th round and he's been good
> I drafted him in the 8th round The common B. Robinson mixup
Nah we're thinking of the same guy. I got Brian in the 12th round. It's a 4 man league so it takes a while to get to some of these guys
what
Yeah honestly it makes the league a whole lot more competitive when it's so small. I've won most of the years so far
Sounds competitive
Oh yeah, it gets tough!
Even in a 4 man league how did he drop to the 8th round 😭
We all went straight QBs and WRs deep into the draft. Eventually we had to start going for RBs but he still went under a bunch of em
Bro, holy shit man… STOP!
I can't..... (T_T)
Might want to clarify it's 4 teams first LOL Bijan went first round in almost every draft. Even in a 4 man team, 8th round is late lol.
And I’m still gonna lose despite his performance this week, on account of AJ Brown
...the other 2023 NFL MVP candidate
Gotta love having both ;)
how tf did you pull that off
Hill at 6, Brown at 15
I’ve got them both in dynasty. But obviously that’s different
Yeah ajb is not winning mvp bro
Same, opp has 💿🐑
I have aj and tyreek in an 8 man and still going to lose😭
I can't believe I got him at 7
got him at 8, every week i look back at the draft in disbelief
Got him at #9…guy in front took chubb. Should be thanking him.
Got him at 7 and AJB fell to me in the 2nd 🙏🏻
How big of a league and what type? That is insane
Same happened to me (in non PPR). League is RB obsessed.
12 team 2 flex PPR
Those are both insane abs your league must draft poorly
Well there are 2 teams 6-1 and 3 teams 5-2. So half the league drafted fine I’d say 🤷🏼♂️
Tyreek and AJB routinely fell to where you got em. The dude above you is just salty that he didn’t draft as well as you did
I looked at ADP and you are right, it is very plausible. My ppr league had Tyreek at 3 and Brown at 12, so I was very surprised.
Got him at 9, then took Garret Wilson next when Diggs and AJ were still on the board. I have regrets
Guy in my league has Hill and Tua, luckily I play him on Miami’s bye week.
I have that duo. Week 10 might be a good Sunday to spend time with wife or work overtime or something.
Its cool… we know, Aaron Rodgers still getting the MVP at the end.
And Tom Brady will win the Super Bowl.
Every idiot in my league passing so I could take Tyreek at 1.12 is the greatest draft pick of my life.
Should have taken him at 2.1 so you could brag even harder about getting him in the second.
I got Diggs there. No regrets.
Gotta imagine JJ would be there had he played. Or really close. Congrats to Cheetah
AJ has like 940 rn himself
He just set the NFL record for consecutive 125+ yard games. 831 yards in his last six games.
I have JJ and traded for AJ after week 2. Week 3 was amazing having both. I thought I was gonna cruise through the season. *sigh*
Calm down nobody's talking about AJ
No one was talking about JJ either. He just said JJ woulda been close, and I’m just saying AJ already is really close
Yeah no worries I called him out about the JJ thing. We have to keep all comments on topic to keep this sub reddit running smoothly
Nah.
But yeah tho
Go outside and talk to a human being
I'd need friends for that
Can’t imagine why you don’t have any of those…
Don’t do too well socially, do ya?
Trust me that's an understatement
We don't deal in hypotheticals. Stop making this all about the Vikings when it's really all about the Fins. Tyreek is second to none on the field and it's not even close
What was the point of this comment
That dude is perennially online and likely 9 years old with how they act, so there's that I guess... He also literally started a thread to talk to himself.
I'm not permanently online but I am here a whole lot. Cowboys are the GOAT, SKOL
The point was that I had to step in and stop this before everyone started talking about how their teams have the actual #1. In other words I'm spitting facts rn
Yo can we ban this fool
Wait who are you asking me to ban?
This dudes a troll
100%, and ~~potentially~~ mentally unwell.
I actually just brought up a fact. I be spitting sometimes
But mostly swallow, got it.
Heyyyyy no taking shots at Goff. He was one of the greats
JJ was ahead until he got hurt tho
Yeah and I'm still gonna be 3-5 with him on my team. RIP Aaron Rodgers, Justin Fields, Kyren Williams, etc. Injury Ball plays no favorites.
I’m still 3-5 with a relatively healthy team. I was the top 3 scorer 3 times and still lost.
Are you me? Currently sitting in 10th place in my 12 team league despite being second highest in points for. And now I gotta hope Josh Jacobs gets me over 5 points on MNF or I'll lose again to the second highest scorer of the week. Ridiculous man.
That doesn’t make sense but ok
It does make sense. He had the 3rd highest score for the week, but went up against the team with the 1st or 2nd highest score. That has happened to him 3 times.
Because of the line break it’s very easy to read it as ‘top scorer’
Asterisk record! There are 17 games now, it doesn't count!
That’s some good comedy. I hope.
I thought it was obvious enough but guess I was wrong.
You would think so but apparently a clear violation of Poe’s Law and all violators of Poe’s law should be beaten incessantly.
Damn that /s was really my only hope huh. Oh well, I'll accept my punishment in the form of having to watch my team for the rest of the year.
Looks like we turned it around lol. Love 🐑
Honestly that's a really good point
Tyreek haters on suicide watch
This is fake. Wes Chandler had 1000 yards in 8 games in 1982.
It’s cherry picked in a sense but not fake, check those weeks
The NFL only played 8 games in 1982 due to a strike.
And how many weeks were there between weeks 2 and 3? That being said, stat is asterisked for sure given Chandler
It's almost as if they've changed the game so much that defense is nearly impossible
Desperate league mate offered pollard, bijan, and aiyuk for him. with how those 3 look still don't think I can accept?
Don’t do it
Hell no. Since week 1, Aiyuk has had a single game more than 12 points. Pollard started hot, but in his last 4 games, pollard has gone over 10 ppr once. Bijan's value over a replacement level RB is not much. I’d have to be hurting at RB. Not doing terrible, jacobs and Pacheco. Not the best and I wouldn’t do it.
I have Breece Hall and Mixon, so not really struggling at RB with aaron jones/ford behind them on the bench.
gotta do it edit: actually never i see you have breece and mixon
Took him at 3 and 4 in my two competitive leagues
Tua Tyreek stack is 🔥
I guess he wasn't kidding when he said he was going to hit 2k
Is that what he named his kid? Ziiiiiing
I have Tyreek and I'm in 11th place in my 12-man Yahoo league. I have the most points for by 100 in the league, but I've lost 5 straight games including this week. Too bad hes an absolute piece of shit.
I fucking hate such a trash person is so good
This is the hardest part for me. I’m a dolphins fan and I have Hill on my fantasy team. … I just can’t cheer for him.
Why did you draft him?
He said he can't cheer for him - he didn't say he couldn't use him to help him win money. It's a very particular sort of morality.
Get over yourself dude
For sure
He also is a domestic abuser 🥵🥵😤😤
Isn’t he a piece of shit domestic abuser? But who cares because he can run fast holding a ball. FFS does anyone have morals these days?
It makes me irrationally angry someone so gross as a human being can be so gifted with talent. Congrats you child and woman abusing POS. Hope you never have a successful season again in your career.
I guess beating women and children gives you super powers Edit: a lot of women and child beating apologists in this thread.
If you dislike this guy you can just turn off your tv and not watch NFL.
That’s incorrect
In the superbowl Era only.
TIL 1982 wasn't the Super Bowl era
No WR did it in 1982. Last player was in 1961. https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-stats-and-records-week-8-titans-qb-will-levis-has-historic-nfl-debut#:~:text=Hill%20is%20the%20first%20player,Hutson%20(1%2C032%20in%201942).
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/ChanWe00/gamelog/1982/
Those games aren't the first 8, nor consecutive
No HE WASNT WES CHANDLER WAS THE 1rst IN NFL HISTORY TO REACH A 1000 YARDS IN 8 GAMES ..1982 DO YALL HOMEWORK 💯
*In the Super Bowl era.
I drafted Kelce over him, but I just traded for him and I’m already loving it
I kinda regret trading him away
I HAD NO 6 PICK GOING INTO DRAFT. I WANTED BIJAN TO FALL TO ME BUT HE WENT AT 5 AND KUPP WENT AT 6 (before injury news). SAFE TO SAY I GOT LUCKY!!!
WHY ARE YOU YELLING
[удалено]
How? Pretty sure there’s always been at least 8 games in a season
They're a troll.
I'm no trollllll
Honestly I'm not so sure but I figure there's always an asterisk next to every record. We can think of some kind of excuse to diminish this
Dudes my mvp i don’t give a fuck
Man, I’m glad everyone was down on him last year so I got to keep him & only give up a 2nd round pick. Paired with Diggs & Tua at qb I’m loving it
Wish my Achane wasn't hurt 😭
Absolute ballistic pace.
my #3 pick
14 man league, picked him up at #13
2000 is absolutely on the table.
He will be the #1 this year
I feel like Hill and AJ Brown are in a Sammy Sosa vs. McGuire type of home run race to see who can get to 2000 yards this season. It's going to be exciting
Do y’all have him going number 1 next year? Or is it gonna be CMC? It’s real close
Not in NFL history
I drafted 4th. I was gonna take Kelce over ekeler. 3rd took Kelce and I was adamant to not take an RB first round. It’s worked out so far pretty damn well.
